Amnesia left soon after to check out the quinjet. She dodged the grandmaster's guard as she left the building and went straight to the plane nestled among the heaps of trash. Surveying the body showed mostly superficial damage and nothing they couldn't fly with. She reattached the tip of one of the wings that wasn't too far away and repaired the circuitry with what was around. It was time consuming but easy enough. She moved into the cockpit as day broke and soon enough she was joined by Thor.
"What's the verdict?" He asks seeing the tiny girl hunched under a set of controls.
"She'll fly. Low on fuel but everything else is mostly in tact. It'll make it through the portal and then we will probably crash," Amnesia says finishing her clean up and standing up. "I didn't have time to reconfigure Tony's system so if you'd do the honors," she adds gesturing to the pilot's seat.
"Welcome, voice activation required," the ai says.
"Thor."
"Access denied."
"Thor...son of Odin.
"Access denied."
"God of thunder"
"Access denied."
"Strongest avenger," he says sending Amnesia a wink, she smiles slightly and it only grows when he's denied one more time. "Damn you, Stark. Point Break."
"Welcome, Point Break," and everything powers to. Amnesia surveys everything as it turns on and nods in satisfaction.
"We should be good," Amnesia murmurs with a nod before the back of the ship is ripped open by the Hulk.
"Friend stay!" He commands as Thor tries to calm him. Amnesia shakes her head and pulls up the last communication log revealing Natasha. Hulk starts panicking as Bruce reclaims the wheel and Amnesia steps forward to calm him. Then steps back as he completely turns back to the scientist and allows Thor to comfort his friend.
"What happened to your hair?" Is the first legitimate question the doctor has and Amnesia smiles realizing she was wondering this as well.
"Some creepy old man cut it off."
"It looks good, where are we? How's Nat?"
"Sakaar. It's a long way from home. Dr Banner, I'm Amnesia, a friend of Tony's and a fan of your work. As for Natasha, she's alive, and the next time you see her, I wouldn't expect her to be too warm. Sokovia turned out as well as it could. The avengers are kind of not together anymore though because the government is full of pricks. All of that, which I'm assuming is all you can remember over the past couple years happened at least two years ago. I'm not sure how long you've been here because time is crazy here but I'd wager at least six months, full Hulk," Amnesia explains quickly.
"What the hell happened?" He asks going back over to the interface. Going through the same security protocols as Thor but it lets him in after Banner. Thor frowns when he's called the strongest avenger and Amnesia sets a hand on his shoulder and shows him the memory she has of Tony talking about Banner. All stemming from the suicide attempts the doctor had, that's why he's the strongest in Tony's eyes.
"Where are we?" He asks again.
"Yeah, about that," Thor trails off as the Grandmaster interrupts putting out a missing person statement about the Hulk, his daughter and the lord of thunder that kidnapped them.
"Who's that?"
"Well he kind of runs the place. You lived with him for a while," Thor replies.
"Quite a lot has happened recently. You and I had a fight. You're his daughter?" He asks seeing slight resemblance in facial structure but nothing past that.
"Found out when I landed here. The collector got me sent to Earth. I think I was the first person Hydra tested their memory wipe on and I'm still recovering. Didn't think it was the most important thing about me so I never brought it up. And to answer your question, Doctor, it was a tie more or less," Amnesia explains.
"Seductive God of thunder," Thor corrects grumpily before looking for some clothes for Bruce.
"This is, this is bad," Banner says and Amnesia analyzes the beginnings of a panic attack. "I think I'm freaking out."
"Dr Banner," Amnesia says softly, gaining his attention. "Close your eyes. Tell me something you smell right now," she coaches.
"Garbage," is his answer a few seconds later as Thor shoves some clothes into his hands. She smiles slightly having seen that answer coming from a mile away.
"Good, now something you hear."
"Humming, I hear broken humming. Metal crashing. Some sort of saw or blowtorch."
"Focus on the humming, that's the engine of the quinjet trying to start. You're doing great just stay with me. Now what does the clothing feel like?"
"It feels like cotton," he says running his fingers over the shirt visibly calmer.
"Great, now concentrate on your feet on the ground. Shift your weight slightly and feel how sturdy it is. It's not going anywhere. Alright now open your eyes and concentrate on the wall of the ship. Describe what it looks like."
"It's metal, and grey," he says slowly finally turning back to look at the girl. "Thank you," he says with a nod.
"My uh...my boyfriend gets panic attacks and stuff like that pretty often. Its how I coach him through them," she explains as Bruce gets dressed.
"Is this a serious boyfriend?" Thor asks and Amnesia smiles and blushes looking anywhere but the thunder god. Then she blinks realizing they weren't in as good of place as they usually are when she left... they were fighting about kids.
She follows them out and lets Thor lead the way all while chanting about the sun to Banner to try and help keep him calm. They stop a few feet away from a gathering crowd and Bruce sits down on a sort of curb, trying to process.
"I can't stay calm I'm on an alien planet where everything is designed to stress me out," Bruce says.
"It's just a planet, you've been on a planet before," Thor points out and Amnesia can't help the smile that drifts back to her face at the thunder God's stupid optimism.
"One."
"Well now you've been on two, that's a good thing," Thor says eagerly. "It's a new experience." Amnesia looks around and grabs a weird looking shawl off of a cart while it's keeper isn't looking, and a small pot of silvery paint off of another then returns to them as they argue about phds.
"Here," Amnesia says tossing him the shawl. "Best I can do," she adds. Stepping up onto the little ledge they were just sitting on. "Now come here," she commands.
"You are not putting that on my face," Thor replies immediately when he notices the silvery substance on her fingers, the same hand that has the rock stuck to her wrist.
"You need to do something to hide your face," she says.
"I'll do this," he says holding the shawl up in front of his face. She frowns and then very quickly swipes at him, aiming her hand for his face, he knocks her elbow away and she ends up smudging the silvery paint across her cheek and onto her nose. Thor starts laughing and Amnesia narrows her eyes then changes tactics sparing a quick wink to Bruce before she starts sniffling like she's about to cry. Bruce hides a smile as he realizes the tiny silvery-white haired girl is just trying to distract him a bit, and cheer him up in the less than ideal situation they're caught in.
Thor's eyes go wide as he realizes Amnesia's crying and he frantically tries to fix it moving to try to clean up her face and offering apologies and bargaining by allowing her to put it on his face. Amnesia just turns away and continues pretending to be upset with him until Bruce finally gives it away by laughing. Thor grumbles but leads the way elsewhere.
"Alright, get back to Asgard and you won't have to worry bout the Hulk again," Thor states changing the subject just in time to see the parade of Hulk supporters and for Banner to get a face full of green powder. Bruce gets pulled away in the crowd and Amnesia grabs Thor's hand out of instinct as he leads the way through the crowd, trying to follow Banner who bumps into some sort of creature that is really big and pissed off. Thor steps in front of him and Amnesia lets go of his hand to bring the creature down when a control disk is tossed onto his neck and he's brought down. Amnesia smiles fondly seeing Brynhildr. She listens as the Valkyrie questions him only piping in to comment about the absence of the silver paint when she brings up his poor disguise. They follow her away and Amnesia just chuckles at Bruce's endless commentary.
They stop outside of what Amnesia suspects is Brynhildr's quarters and she gives a speech about why she decided to start helping before opening the door and revealing Loki. Thor's first reaction is to pick up a can and throw it at him just to prove he's there which makes Amnesia laugh. She stays close to Bruce though knowing his reaction to the trickster god will be a little different.
"So, last I saw you, you were trying to kill everybody. Where you at these days?" Bruce asks not entirely knowing how to treat him.
"It varies from moment to moment," he replies evenly causing Bruce to back off. Amnesia stares the god down as the Valkyrie goes off about a plan to get out of here. Without thinking of it too much she pulls another chair from the other side of the room and turns it so the back is facing him and she's straddling it, facing him.
"Let's not pretend you didn't want to tuck tail and run the second you heard he was on this planet," she says. "Now, last we actually had a chance to speak, we touched on the being that sent you to Midgard. Let's continue from there. I have a feeling it's the only chance we will get," Amnesia says.
"What is this? A poor excuse for an interrogation."
"No it's the good cop part. Wanted to give you the chance before the bad cop routine," she says softly. "Thor, he will be just fine I promise," she calls out just in case he does care before she gets up and moves to stand in front of him. She reaches out and lightly holds his face as he watches in apt confusion. She closes her eyes and pulls what she wants from his head before he realizes what she's doing. She saw what she needed to and it lined up with the visions she had from the mind stone. He grits his teeth then notices she's crying. She saw what he went through, what mind games and brainwashing the mad titan had put him through. She wraps her arms around his neck a moment later and hugs him communicating with him the way she did when she first met the Avengers. Apologizing for the shit he went through.
"He's going to die for that. For all the lives he's ruined, and all the pain he's caused," Amnesia declares, pulling herself together and distancing herself from Loki once more, formulating a plan, running her thumb over her grimstone, her eyes sparking with the energy contained in it. It was all the same guy. The one behind the attack of New York, the one that tore the grandmaster and the collector apart. She clenched her first absently, and the power in the area surrounding her drained instantly and was then pushed back, just like breathing. In the back of her mind she realizes the others are having a conversation as well and only chimes in when Loki offers his help.
"I can get in there just as easily," she murmurs because although now she understands the raven haired man, she still doesn't trust him.
"I like that idea," Bruce says. Thor gives him a look though and he goes off. "I mean are we really going to trust Loki? I was just talking to him a couple minutes ago and he was totally ready to kill us all."
"He did try to kill me," Brynhildr agrees.
"I haven't given him the chance to make an attempt, but I have no doubts he would," Amnesia states.
"Yes me too, many occasions. This one time when we were children he transformed himself into a snake and he knows I love snakes so I went to pick up the snake to admire it and he transformed back into himself and was like yeah! It's me and then he stabbed me. We were eight."
"Your poor mother," Amnesia says, her lips in a line.
"If we're stealing a ship we will need to draw some guards away," Brynhildr says deciding to move on.
"Why not set the beast loose?" Loki asks.
"Because you suggested it," Amnesia says without alerting him to the real reason and keeping the Valkyrie in the dark.
"We are just going to start a revolution," Thor says before pointing to Amnesia. "You're with me. We will take Loki, and get a ship. Go here look for Korg, he will help with the revolution take Bruce and meet us outside in your ship."
