The Council is really breathing down my brother's necks right now.
During today's meeting, most of the council members were really getting on Gaara and Kankuro's case when it came to their relationship history. . .
. . . Which is something neither of them have.
Sure, Gaara has tons of fangirls, many of whom would practically die happy at the prospect of becoming his wife, but he doesn't really pay them any mind.
And as for Kankuro, he hangs with his puppets more than women.
My brothers are still young.
They have many years ahead of them to look for 'the one'.
Unfortunately, the Council doesn't seem willing to give them that time.
They rather have them marry sooner rather than later to ensure the Kazekage Clan bloodline lasts into the next generation.
And when I say bloodline, I mean our clan's history with the Magnet Release.
Kankuro was instant when it came to 'putting his foot down'.
In other words, he pushed the attention to Gaara because he's, of course, Kazekage.
. . . Smooth, Kankuro, real smooth.
Anyway, some of the councilmen say that they could get potential candidates ready for Gaara to meet with as soon as tomorrow.
And that's when I had to put my foot down.
No way was I going to have these old bags of wind pressure my brother into a marriage he possibly doesn't want.
