Sisters Tarte and Chocolat
"Took us a while, but there they are!" Tarte pointed towards the walking couple.
"What do we do now...?" Chocolat asked uncertainly.
"Hmm..." Tarte scanned the surroundings before she saw a man carting some objects with a bright yellow label towards the ferris wheel. It was a 'HAZARDOUS EXPLOSIVES' sign. "I think I might have an idea. Tell them to get onto the ferris wheel, I think I have an idea on how to ruin their date."
King Alfred and Lady Salome
"Have you been having a great night, Salome?" King Alfred asked the female. One hand was carrying a large bag of assorted prizes and the other was holding her hand.
"Yes! I haven't been to an amusement park in quite some time. The Jewel Knights normally go off on things without me, while I stay back and do the paperwork.
"Why is it not evenly spread throughout the knights?" King Alfred inquired. For the Knights of the Round Table, Sir Gallatin was mainly excluded but other than that, everyone was given paperwork and training to handle. The Jewel Knights were a sub-clan, and were a little different to the situation. But of course, their high beasts were excluded as expected. "Is that not how the Jewel Knights handle it?"
"Several Jewel Knights are capable, for example Lady Ashlei, but, the rest.." Salome trailed off.
-Flashback-
"What.. is this?" Salome stared down at a skeptically written training report. It was barely legible and had water damage on the corners.
"The training report for the day!" Dreaming Jewel Knight Tiffany replied. "Just like you told us to. Just make comments about all the knights."
"And what comments did I tell you to write?"
"About everything you told us to write about." Blazing Jewel Knight Rachelle said innocently.
"I see. Allow me to read out what you have reported to me.:
'JEWEL KNIGHT TRAINING REPORT
Written by:
Tiffany and Rachelle
1. Salome
Hair was in a bun, wore leather armour,
Missed first flying target,
Lost balance at one point (It was pretty funny),
Plenty of drinks of water (She went to the bathroom a lot),
Very funny training expressions...'
..This was not what I was expecting." Salome groaned, massaging her temples. Did she really miss that first target and lose balance at one point? Did she have unattractive facial expressions while training or in battle? "Just take your leave. I'll handle these reports."
"Of course, Lady Salome! Goodbye!" And with that, Rachelle and Tiffany took their leave, leaving Salome to cover up several horrible reports with a few white lies. Scratch that, the whole thing will probably be white lies anyway.
-Flashback End-
"Let's just say, after assigning the Jewel Knights some reports, I am fully convinced to handle the majority of them myself."
"I understand. Feel free to ask if there is any trouble." King Alfred offered.
"Thank you, your maj- Alfred." Salome corrected herself in time. "It's going to take some getting used to if we go out more often like this."
"Really? I don't seem to be having any trouble." King Alfred chuckled.
"That's because you're the King."
"Excuse me..." A timid voice was in front of them. The couple looked down to see a green-haired attendant, terrified. Chocolat was doing a terrible job at calming herself.
"Yes?" They both responded in unison.
"T-The ferris wheel ride is almost closing, may I suggest the attraction?"
"Of course! We must go on it to end the night. What do you think, Salome?" King Alfred was grinning ear-to-ear and Salome found herself looking forward to it.
"Most certainly. Which way is it?"
"O-Over there.. enjoy your evening..!" Chocolat pointed in the direction of the ticket booth for the ride and scrambled off. King Alfred and Salome shrugged and continued there. Once they had paid for the tickets, an exasperated groan escaped Alfred's lips.
"Oh Salome, look at that queue."
Blaster Blade and Lady Ashlei
"Looks like they're getting on the ferris wheel. Want to catch a ride also?" Blade pointed out. "It's pretty late, I guess it's their last attraction before they head back to the castle."
"Sounds like a good idea." Ashlei nodded. "It's pretty exhausting to walk around an amusement park, I'm not a child like I used to be."
"Alright!" Blade cheered.
"You're paying for both of us, though."
"No way!"
Sisters Tarte and Chocolat
-Time skip- (The queue is very short now)
"The explosives are ready, they're almost on the ferris wheel, now all we have to do is wait." Tarte wiped the sweat off her brow and smiled, proud of her job well done. She had convinced the technician that she was perfectly capable of handling the situation, after landing a few short kicks to his person.
"What is this p-plan of yours?" Chocolat questioned. Tarte and explosives were not something to be trusted.
"I've set this cart of explosives aimed at the wheel! These bombs are going to shake it, ruining their moments! King Alfred might spill his drink or Lady Salome might get all scared! Hahaha!" Tarte laughed maniacally. "Miss Amaterasu will be pleased!"
"Oh.. um.. I see them boarding the ride now..!" Chocolat pointed out.
"Good! I'll set these off! Get ready Chocolat, for the greatest scene from an action movie in real life!" Tarte rubbed her hands and headed behind the cart, as the ride began to move.
"Miss Amaterasu doesn't let us see action movies at all.. we are nuns.."
"You going to tell on me?"
"N-No!"
"Good. Now get over here and help me. We can finally go home after this." Chocolat moved over to her partner behind the cart. Tarte pulled out a box of matches and lit one up, much to Chocolat's surprise.
"Ah!" Chocolat bumped against the cart and Tarte, changing the direction of the cart and causing Tarte to drop the match and have it hit the string for all the explosives.
"SISTER CHOCOLAT! I could have been burne-"
BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM
"Now look at what you've done!"
King Alfred and Lady Salome
"Look outside, Alfred!" Salome's eyes widened as colourful fireworks lit up the night sky. "They're so beautiful to watch from a ferris wheel ride."
"Yes, they most certainly are." King Alfred smiled warmly, holding Salome close. "I didn't know they were having fireworks tonight."
"All the more pleasant as a surprise." As soon as Salome finished the sentence, Salome pulled King Alfred in close and gave him a quick peck on the lips. Dazed and a red mess, King Alfred weakly responded,
"I-Indeed, Salome.."
Blaster Blade and Lady Ashlei
"Would you look at that." Blaster Blade whistled, doing his best to ignore his almost empty wallet in his pocket. He didn't bring much money. "There wasn't a fireworks notice, was there?"
"I don't think so." Ashlei watched in awe as the fireworks streaked across the sky and exploded in a dazzling display of colours and light. Blaster Blade watched as well, before clearing his throat.
"Ashlei, I'd like to tell you something."
"Yes, Blade?" Ashlei turned to face a nervous Blaster Blade.
"I.. like you!" Blaster Blade cringed. Why did his voice break just now?! Ashlei stared back at him in an awkward silence and smiled.
"I like you too Blade!"
"R-Really?"
"Yeah, you're such an amazing friend to me!" Ashlei held his hands joyfully.
"N-No I.." Blade trailed off as Ashlei turned away to continue watching the fireworks. Blade sighed and joined her. "Yeah... guess I am."
Sisters Tarte and Chocolat
"THEY WERE FIREWORKS ALL ALONG?!" Tarte screamed in pure rage. "When Miss Amaterasu gets wind of this, she'll make us clean the bathrooms and dust the whole library of scriptures! And you KNOW how much dust is on those things!"
"W-We have no choice.." Chocolat sniffed.
"I KNOW!" Tarte breathed heavily through her nose, kicked a few cans and then calmed down. "Yeah, we don't.' Tarte muttered. "Come on. Let's get this report down done and over with. I want to go back to my bed."
CEO Amaterasu, Tarte and Chocolat
-The Next Day-
"Miss Amaterasu?" Tarte called at the door. Chocolat hid behind her.
"Come in, my dear sisters!" Amaterasu gestured to a tea set in front of her. "I have good news!"
"We are afraid to report to you that we have failed our mission." Tarte sighed. "Their date was rather successful."
"What date?" Amaterasu hummed, drinking her tea. Trate and Chocolat looked at each other uncertainly.
"The date which King Alfred and Lady Salome were on that you told us to ruin?"
"Ah yes, that. It brings me to my good news."
"A-And that is?" Chocolat asked. Amaterasu had a knowing smile on her face. She beckoned them to lean in closer to her.
"I believe the fates have allowed Sir Bors, the Knight of Conviction and I to be together! Isn't that wonderful?" A light tint appeared on Amaterasu's cheeks when she spoke his name. Tarte and Chocolat stared at the goddess incredulously.
"YOU MEAN THIS ENTIRE MISSION WAS A WASTE OF TIME?!"
