A Fresh Start
Chapter Two Hundred Eighteen
Jeffrey pulls into the parking lot and he waits for a car to back out before he pulls in. Sam reaches for the door handle as he turns the car off. Getting out, he walks around the car, slipping his arm around her. Megan looks up as they walk up. "Sam." She says, standing up.
"I can't believe you're here." Sam says, as they hug.
"I know, but it didn't feel right staying in DC anymore." She replies, stepping back as Sam releases her. "Hello, Jeffrey." She says, hugging him.
"Hello Megan." He says.
Sam hugs the boys, followed by Jeffrey before they sit down. Ashley walks up. When she sees Sam, she looks at Megan and says. "I knew that I knew you some how." She says, looking at Sam and Megan.
"Ashley, this is my cousin Megan. Megan, this is Ashley Wolfe."
"Hello." Megan says, holding out her hand.
"Hi, welcome to Springfield. Are you staying in town long?"
"I'm, well we're actually moving here." Megan says, looking at the boys.
"Hi." Ashley says, smiling at the boys.
"Hello." They say around a mouthful of ice cream.
Ashley turns to Jeffrey and Sam. "Can I get you something to drink?" She asks.
"I'll have a Coke." Jeffrey says, looking at Sam.
"I'll have an orange smoothie." Sam says.
"A Coke and an orange smoothie, would you like a menu?"
"Maybe we should eat." Jeffrey says when Sam looks at him.
"I am hungry." She says, as Ashley hands them each a menu.
"Thank you." They boy say.
"I'll be back with your drinks in a minute." She says.
"Thank you." They reply again.
Ashley leaves as Sam turns to Megan. "So you decided to move here."
"Yes."
"Why?"
"Like I said, I don't have any reason to stay in DC."
"What about the boys and Patrick?"
"What about them. He hasn't seen them in six weeks. In fact, it's been since the day we went to court and the judge reversed the order."
"But you haven't settled on permanent custody?" Jeffrey asks.
"No, I had my attorney petition the judge for permission to bring the boys here." Megan says, as Ashley brings their drinks.
"Are you ready to order?" She asks.
"Give us another minute." Jeffrey says. Nodding she turns to leave.
"So, what about the shop?" Sam asks.
"It's still open. Mellissa is running it. I'm a silent partner."
"Well, at least I can get my hair dresser back."
"Yeah, you really do need a trim." She says, as Sam reaches over and slaps her.
"So, what's been going on with you two?" Megan asks, looking at both of them.
"Not a whole lot, just getting settled." Sam says.
"We moved into our house this past weekend."
"I thought you were going to stay at the loft. And when did you buy a house?"
"J bought it for me as a wedding gift. The loft will be given to Ava and we're staying at our house. My clinic is downstairs."
"How big is this house?"
"Three stories, do you remember the Augusta house?" Sam asks.
"Yes."
"It looks a lot like that. All of our friends came over and helped us move."
"You bought her a house?" Megan asks, looking at Jeffrey.
"Yes, she wanted it."
"In fact, he saved it from being torn down. The city was selling it for back taxes when I found it and I told him about it and he decided to buy the house and give it to me as a wedding gift. He showed it to me after the reception. And then he hired Billy Lewis to remodel the whole thing. And his daughter Ava, decorated it, with my help, except for my office, she did that on her own." Sam says, as Megan stares at him.
"Anything else you need to tell me. Anything going on at the clinic."
"No, just the usual stuff."
"Sam, nothing about the last two days have been usual." Jeffrey says, looking at her.
"What happened?" Megan asks, as Sam looks at Jeffrey.
"I can't really get into the details because it involves a patient." Sam says
"You can tell her about the rest." Jeffrey says.
"The rest, what?" Megan asks.
"Alright, I will tell you this. Jeremiah is in Laurel Falls."
"He moved the church. I can't believe that. I've never heard of Laurel Falls, Georgia."
"He's not in Georgia. He's moved everyone up here. Laurel…."
"Wait, what do you mean he's moved everyone up here?"
"He's moved everyone up here." Sam says, as Megan stares at her. "They're staying in Laurel Falls. It's a town just north of here."
"Why would he move here?"
"I don't know. But there is more. The Federal government is investigating him for fraud and bribery."
"Fraud and Bribery, how?"
"I don't know the details. I only found out about it this afternoon."
"Did he call you?"
"No, of course not." Sam says, looking at Jeffrey. "I had a patient early Monday, a young girl with a severely injured shoulder. While I was examining her, a man came to the clinic demanding that I release the girl. I refused and he refused to leave when I asked, so the police were called and he was arrested.
"How is this tied to Jeremiah?"
"When the man was released today, he came back to the clinic."
"Where were you?" Megan asks, looking at Jeffrey.
"I was at City Hall." He says.
"I had Leah call him as soon as I knew who he was. Anyway, he came to apologize and explain. That's how I found out that Jeremiah's moved up here and that he's under investigation."
"He came to apologize. Jeremiah doesn't apolo…."
"He's an agent with the Justice Department." Jeffrey says.
"He came to apologize because he said some pretty nasty stuff to me and about me. And he explained what was going on. The important thing is that Jeremiah is here."
"Have you seen him?"
"No, I haven't seen him."
"So, why is he here and how do you know for sure that he is?"
"I know he's here from the agent's reaction when he found out that he's my brother. I don't know why Jeremiah's here. The agents thought he might run to Canada but I told him he wouldn't. If Miah's going to run, it'll be south not north."
"Did they think he came here for you?"
"They didn't even know I was his sister until I told them this afternoon."
So what are you going to do?"
"Nothing." Sam replies, as Ashley walks up.
"Have you decided what you want?"
"No, we're sorry." Sam says, as she picks up the menu."
"I'll have the chili, large and an order of fries." Jeffrey says, handing her his menu.
"I'll have the same thing and bring an extra plate." Sam says, handing her the menu.
"I'll have that right out." Ashley says, taking the menus.
She walks away as Sam says. "So Mellissa's handling the shop. What are you going to do?"
"Well, I'm going to take the rest of semester off, get settled and then transfer to Springfield U. in the spring."
"Where are you staying?" Sam asks.
"I thought I would stay at a hotel."
"No, you're not doing that. You can stay with us." Sam says.
"You just moved in."
"And we have plenty of room. There's no reason for you to stay at a hotel." Sam says, as Ashley brings their food.
"Are you sure?" Megan asks.
"Yes, you're staying with us." Sam says, as they start to eat.
"If you're sure, then thank you."
"Have you seen about getting the boys registered?" Jeffrey asks.
"After the judge gave me permission to bring them here, I spoke with the principal. I've got to get them registered tomorrow."
"Are you excited about starting a new school?" Jeffrey asks, looking at the boys.
"I am." Madisen says.
"I liked my old school." Mattox says.
"You liked Brianna" Madisen says.
"Shut up, I did not." Mattox says, hitting him.
"Alright, that's enough." Megan says.
"They'll probably be in the same class as RJ, Zack and Jude." Jeffrey says.
"Probably so." Sam says. "So you'll know someone when you get to school and that will make it easier."
"That will be good." Megan says.
"And there's a shop on Fifth Street, you can see about getting a job there."
"I'll look into it." She replies.
"Are you finished?" Jeffrey asks, looking at Sam.
"Yes." She replies, as he raises his hand.
Ashley walks over to them." Can you bring our checks?"
"Sure, I'll be right back." She says, walking away.
When she comes back, Jeffrey and Megan both reach for the checks. "I got it." Jeffrey says, taking both checks.
"You don't have to do that." Megan says.
"I want to." Jeffrey says, pulling out his wallet.
"Thank you." She replies.
"You're welcome." Jeffrey replies, as he hands the folder back to Ashley with his credit card.
She walks away. Returning a few minutes later, she gives the folder to Jeffrey. Signing it, he hands it back to her with a tip. "Thank you." Ashley says.
"You're welcome." Jeffrey says, as everyone stands up. When they reach the parking lot, Jeffrey says. "You can follow us."
"Sure." Megan says, as the boys get in the car.
Jeffrey opens Sam's door and then closes it before he walks around the car. Getting in, he starts the car. Backing out, they leave with Megan following them. When they get to the house, they get out and Megan turns to looks at house. "This is exactly like Augusta house." She says, looking at Sam.
"What is this Augusta house?"
"It's an old mansion back home. It was the headquarters for the Union soldiers during the Civil War. My father wanted the house destroyed but the city never would approve it. It's a beautiful home." Sam says, as Jeffrey opens the front door.
"After you." He says, turning to Megan.
Megan walks in. "Oh my, this is beautiful." She says, looking around. "You decorated this yourself?" She asks, looking at Sam.
"I did with Ava's help." Sam replies, as Jeffrey brings in the last of their bags and closes the door.
"I love the kitchen. I think this is better than Augusta House."
"So, here's the living room, kitchen and dining room. Through there is the laundry room and the stairs to the office." Sam says. "Down the hall is the stairs leading upstairs. There's a powder room and Jeffrey's study. If you'll get your bag, I'll take you upstairs." She says.
"Boys, get your bags." Megan says, picking up hers. She and the boys follow Sam upstairs.
"Mine and Jeffrey's room is on the end." Sam says, as they climb the stairs. "The nursery will be next to it and then we have three guest bedrooms. So each of you can have your own room." She says, turning to the boys as they reach the second floor.
"Awesome." They reply. "If you want the boys can have the bedroom that are side by side and Megan you can stay at the end of the hall."
"That's fine."
"The bathroom is next door to you Megan. It only has a shower, but if the boys want a bath. I have a bathtub in the master bath."
"That's fine."
"Good, then I'll let you get settled." She says, as they walk into their rooms.
She turns to go back downstairs when Megan pops her head out. "Sam." She says. Sam turns around. "Thanks for letting us stay here."
"You're welcome." She says. Megan goes back into her room and Sam goes downstairs.
Jeffrey's in the living room when she gets downstairs. She walks over to him, lightly running her fingers through his hair as she walks around the couch. He looks up and then lifts his arm as she sits down beside him. She settles against him and then leans up and kisses the side of his neck. "What was that for?"
"For letting her stay with us."
"She's your family."
"I know, but I didn't really ask you…." He puts a finger over her mouth, silencing her.
"She's your family. We have the room so it makes sense for her and the boys to stay here."
"You're sure."
"Yes. What are they doing?"
"Getting settled, the boys took the two rooms beside each other and Megan took the room at the end of the hall."
"Okay." He says, reaching for the remote. She settles back against him.
Reva walks into the study at Cross Creek. Picking up the phone, she dials Harley's number. After a few rings she picks up. "Hello. Spaulding-Cooper residence."
"Harley, it's Reva."
"Hi, how are you?"
"I'm good. I wanted to talk to you about Cassie, Sam and Ava."
"What about them?" Harley says, sitting down at the kitchen table.
"Well Ava's about to have her baby. Sam's a few weeks after that and then there's Cassie I thought it would be a good idea if we threw them a surprise baby shower."
"A surprise baby shower. I didn't even think about that!"
"So, you're up for it?"
"Of course I'm up for it. When?"
"Well, I was thinking within the next couple weeks. Here at Cross Creek. And maybe we can have a surprise wedding shower for Ava too."
"She's getting married!"
"Yes, William asked her a while ago but they were waiting till he was out of San Cristobel before they set a date, which they've done."
"When's the wedding?"
"New Year's Eve, they're having it at the Beacon."
"That's perfect."
"Yeah, it is. So we'll have the baby shower and then we'll have the wedding shower after that."
"That's great. How are we going to do this without any of them finding out?"
"Well, I was thinking I would say something to Cassie about Sam. And then she could say something to Sam about Ava and then Sam could say something to Ava about Cassie and we could do that way."
"Wouldn't it just be simpler if we come up with a reason to get them all there? I mean, we could use the wedding as an excuse. The Beacon's doing the wedding to that takes care of Cassie and Ava and I'll bet that Ava's going to have Sam participate in the wedding so she'll be there for the planning."
"That's so much better. I'll find out the date for Cassie and Ava next meeting about the wedding and we'll have the showers then. And I'll tell Sam about the shower."
"Okay, I'll talk to my dad about catering… oh wait, were you going to have the Beacon…."
"Buzz can cater."
"Ava loves his double fudge cake. I'll get him to make it and we'll bring the ice cream too."
"We need to have games."
"No, no games. We'll just be us." Harley says, as Daisy walks in.
"Mom."
"Is that Daisy?"
"Yes, she's just got home from school and judging by the look on her face she wants to ask me something so I got to go. I'll talk to Dad about catering."
"Great, and tell Daisy that her Grandma would like to see her a little bit more."
"I will. Let me know about the date."
"I call you tomorrow when I get to the Beacon."
"That's fine. I'll talk to you then."
"Talk to you then." Reva says, hanging up. She pulls out a pad and begins making a list. She's about to walk out the door when Josh comes up.
"Where are you going?" He asks.
"Umm, to get stuff for Cassie, Sam and Ava's baby shower. I won't be long."
"Okay. But I thought we could go out tonight."
"That sound great. Give me an hour and then we can go, okay."
"Alright." Josh says, as Reva leans up to kiss him.
"I'll be back in an hour." She says, turning for her car.
Richard's in his study when Cassie comes downstairs after putting the boys to bed. "I'm free tomorrow afternoon." He says, as Cassie walks in. "That will be fine. I'll see you then. Thank you, Mr. Harrison." Richard says, hanging up.
"Who was that?" Cassie asks, walking over to his desk.
"I was talking to Mr. Harrison. He's a campaign manager. Jeffrey gave me his name."
"Oh. What did he say?"
"We're meeting for lunch tomorrow. Are the boys down?"
"Yes. What happens after you meet with this guy?"
"Well, if I hire him to be my campaign manager then we'll start looking for volunteers to run the office and we'll start fund raising."
"How much are you going to have to raise?"
"Jeffrey said that his campaign cost around one hundred thousand."
"A hundred thousand dollars! How are you going to raise that money?"
"I'm not sure." Richard says, getting up and walking around his desk. "It's something that I'll have to talk to him about tomorrow."
"When do you have to file?"
"Next week, and then we'll start raising money as soon as possible."
"Did you decide on which party your going to run under?"
"I thought I would run as an independent."
"Okay."
"I like some of the beliefs of both parties but I don't think they totally fit with who I am."
"It's fine. I've never been that involved with politics. I met with Ava today."
"You did, how did the planning go?"
"I think it's going to be a beautiful wedding and completely different for the typical New Year's Eve wedding. We're going to turn the Beacon into a spring garden. It's going to be beautiful. And we're planning on going dress shopping this weekend after RJ's game, if that's okay?"
"That's fine. If I hire Mr. Harrison, I'll probably be busy getting the campaign started. Are you really up for this?" He asks, leaning against his desk.
"Of course I am. I think you'll make a wonderful mayor. You're certainly qualified for it."
"So you're prepared to face questions about your past again, and the press."
"I don't think there will be much focus on my past. And the press doesn't seem to bother Sam "
"What if a reporter asks you about your time at Teasers?"
"I don't think they will. Springfield knows about my past."
"But are you willing to face questions about it now, again?"
"Do you not want to run?"
"No, I mean I won't run if you're not willing to deal with the press and the questions, should they arise about our past and your past. I won't put you through that."
"I don't see how my past will affect this race. Everyone knows about my past and they know the reason for it. But if it's brought up again then we'll answer the questions."
"Alright." He says, standing up. "I was thinking that I would ask Holly to handle communications for me, what do you think?" He asks, walking towards the door. She gets up and follows him.
"I think she would be perfect. She knows both of us and she knows our history." She says, as they walk out of the room.
"Good. I'm going to go take a shower." He says, heading for the stairs.
"Okay." She says, sitting down on the couch as he walks upstairs. She turns the TV on.
Stopping at the bottom of the stairs, he says. "You know you could join me."
She looks at him and then reaches for the remote, turning the TV off. She gets up and walks over to him. "I did promise to make up for this morning." She says, slipping her hand in his.
"Taking a shower together will make up for this morning." He says, walking up the stairs.
"It usually does." Cassie says, as he chuckles.
Megan comes downstairs after unpacking. Jeffrey and Sam are on the couch. "You're watching football." Megan says, looking at Sam.
"I don't mind it." She says, as Megan sits down.
"She's the football fan. I'm just a long for the ride."
"I watch baseball, you can watch football." Sam says, looking at him. He leans over to kiss her. "Where are the boys?"
"Taking their showers. I figured it's best to keep them on their schedule."
"Alright. Are you going to try to start classes next week?"
"I don't know. I'm going to go by the university tomorrow and talk to the admissions office. I've got all my transcripts."
"Have you decided on a major?"
"I was thinking about law." Megan says, looking at Jeffrey.
"I studied criminal law because it made me feel like I had some power after my mom was killed."
"What happened to your mom?"
"She was killed during a robbery. She bartend for one of the clubs on the south side of Chicago. She was closing up one night with three men forced their way into the bar, demanding cash. She had just made the final drop for the night, so she didn't have any cash out except for what was on her personally and that was about twenty dollars. One of the guys got mad and he shot her point blank in the chest and then again in the head."
"Oh man, I'm sorry." Megan says.
"Thank you, but it was a long time ago."
"How old were you?"
"I was almost twenty."
"Is that when you joined the agency?"
"No, I left Chicago for Washington. I applied for University of District of Columbia and was accepted. So I went to DC as a pre law major. Four years later, I went to the UDC law school."
"Is that when you entered the agency?"
"I was in my last semester of college when I was approached about working with the Ambassador to San Cristobel. I was a big enough guy to work as security and I had studied International Law as part of my degree. So they offered and I accepted. I didn't join the agency until I was accused of rape." Jeffrey says.
Megan looks at Sam and then at him. "You were accused of rape."
"Yes, Ava's mother."
"You were accused of raping your daughter's mother."
"It's a long story. It was the last night for the Ambassador in San Cristobel. The royal family had thrown him a farewell party. I was on duty when I met Olivia. I knew she wasn't as old as she was pretending to be, but I ignored it. We started dancing and drinking. I wasn't supposed to be drinking, but I did. Occasionally I would have to leave to handle something for the Ambassador and every time I left, Prince Edmund would try to pick Olivia up. I would chase him off when I got back. Finally about one in the morning. Olivia and I go upstairs to be alone.
We snuck off, or at least we thought we had snuck off. Anyway, we're in a room upstairs in the American consultant and we're, well you know. We didn't do too much before Olivia passes out. Once I realized that she's passed out, I decided to go back downstairs and try to sober up before the Ambassador found out that I was drinking while I was on the job. So I left her alone. When we left the party, Edmund had seen us and he followed us upstairs. When I left the room, he snuck in and he raped her and then he left. By the time I got back, I was sober and Olivia was waking up and we started again. I thought she knew what was happening and agreed to it. After we finished, she fell back asleep and I left.
The next morning, I wake up to the commanding officer from the agency and Col. Dax pounding on my door. They briefly explained why they were there and then the agency took me into custody. I was given two options, join the agency or face criminal charges for rape.. My memory of the events between me were always different than what the agency explained to me as to what happened. But I guess I felt guilty for leaving her and for taking advantage of her so I never disputed their version of events that night."
"So, you left San Cristobel to avoid being charged for rape."
"Yes, the agency told me that if I went back to San Cristobel that I would be immediately arrested, tried and convicted of rape. I was very much into saving my own ass back then so I never went back."
"When did you find out about Ava?"
"It's been a couple of years now I guess. Olivia accused me of rape right after I was named mayor of Springfield after my opponent was poisoned by my former handler. The governor took the office from me and I was back to practicing law. Olivia found out that Ava was her daughter after she tried to have her killed and when she realized that I was her father she wanted to keep me from knowing her but Ava sort of forced the issue." Jeffrey says, as Megan stares at him.
"I never asked this but when did you two meet?" Megan asks, looking at Sam.
"Jeffrey was on loan to the NIS for an operation in South America. I was a rookie and so my director thought that it would be a good idea if I was paired with a seasoned agent. We couldn't stand each other on that first op, but things changed as time went on. Jeffrey was put on permanent status with us after a few ops and then he went missing after his cover was blown on an op in Belfast.
I knew I had fallen for him, but I didn't get to tell him before he disappeared. I was terrified that I had lost my chance until we caught a break and we were able to rescue him. He had endured weeks of torture when we rescued him, so he was sent back to the States to recuperate while we finished the op in Belfast. I wanted to stay with him, but he convinced me to stay and bring the group in that tortured him. Once that op was over, I went back to DC, took a leave of absence from the agency and I nursed him. He's not an easy to guy to deal with when he's helpless." Sam says, looking at him.
"I wasn't that bad." He says, as she smiles.
"We moved in together. And they left us together as partners after we went back."
"I thought agencies like that didn't want fraternization between agents."
"Normally they didn't but we were apart of two different agency on the same task force. We were with each other all the time and very few other people."
"So, it was bound to happen."
"Yes." Sam says, looking at him.
"And you were together until Sam faked her death and left you in Russia."
"Yes."
"And you had no idea that she was alive until this summer."
"None. The agency couldn't deny or confirm that the body that was found in the wreck wasn't her. It was burned beyond recognition and the teeth had been removed so we couldn't use Sam's dental records to verify."
"How did it come out that you weren't the one that raped Ava's mother?"
"There was a video tape that the government of San Cristobel turned over to my agency. The tape was used as evidence in Ditkin's…."
"Who is that?"
"He was my handler. Anyway, the tape was used as evidence in his trial. It shows me and Olivia going into the room. It shows Olivia passed out on the bed alone after I left. And then it shows Edmund coming in, undressing and having sex with her. It's clear that she has no idea what is going because she's passed out. It shows him leaving and then me returning about an hour or so later. It shows Olivia waking up and then it shows us, together."
"So, how do you know that Ava's your daughter and not Edmund's?"
"We had a DNA test done and it was a 99.9% match to me."
"You knew abut all of this?" Megan asks, looking at Sam.
"Yes, he told me when I came back from Belfast. I knew about everything but his daughter." Sam says, reaching for Jeffrey's hand as the boys come downstairs.
"Sam, will you read to us?"
"Umm, sure." Sam says, getting up. "Will you be okay?" She asks, looking at Jeffrey.
"I'll be fine." He says, smiling at her.
"Don't interrogate him too much." Sam says, looking at Megan as she smiles. Sam follows the boys upstairs.
"How did you meet Patrick?" Jeffrey asks, reaching for the remote and turning the TV off.
"We met in high school. We had to hide our relationship for a long time because Sam and I weren't allowed to have any friends outside the congregation."
"Why? I mean Sam told me about how you were raised. And some of the things her father did to her, but I never understood why?"
"I never understood Uncle JP. Sam tried to be everything he wanted to her to be, but she was never good enough. Me personally, I think he saw her mother in her and he resented how much Sam clung to her after she left. Jeremiah took after him, so it was easier for them to get along, but Sam's almost the spitting image of her mother. There's some features of Uncle JP, but most of it is her mom."
"She showed a picture of her. They do look a lot alike. Did your parent treat you the way Sam was treated?"
"Somewhat, but Sam had it harder. Like I said, I think because Sam reminded her father of her mother and Sam didn't make it easy for herself. She was stubborn when it would've probably been better to surrender, at least it would've been easier."
"Sam says that her relationship with Jeremiah was different when they were kids."
"It was. They were closer than any brother and sister I know, until my Aunt left."
"Sam told that Jeremiah came to DC after you."
"He did. He tried to force me to leave Patrick but Sam forced him to leave."
"I can't imagine how you and Sam grew up. And now with this patient that came into the clinic. I'm scared she's going to go after this guy. She's promises that she'll stay out of it, but I can't really believe that she will. At least the woman I knew in Russia wouldn't've stayed out of it."
"If she stays out of this, it will be because of you." Megan says, getting up. "I think I'm going to go to bed. It was a long drive and I'm exhausted."
"Good night." Jeffrey says, reaching for the remote.
"Good night." Megan replies, walking towards the stairs.
Richard reaches for the faucet. Turning it off as she leans up, kissing him. "Again." He asks, slipping his arms around her.
"You're irresistible." She says, kissing his neck.
"No, I'm not. I think it's the hormones."
"Are you complaining?'
"No, but I remember how you were when you were pregnant with Will."
"We don't have to, if you're too tired." She says. Her tone challenging.
He opens the door to the shower. Handing her a towel, they dry off. When she's finished, he sweeps her up into his arms. "I'll show you who's too tired." He says, as he walks towards the door and she laughs.
When they reach the door, she says. "You might want to make sure the boys aren't in there."
He stops and looks at her and then he puts her down before he opens the door. Leaning out, he looks at the bed and then turns back to her. "The coast is clear." He says, sweeping her up into his arms again.
Wrapping her arms around his neck, she kisses the side of his neck. "I could stay like this forever." She says, looking up as he looks down.
He tilts his head. "I love you." He whispers before he kisses her.
She pulls him closer, deepening the kiss as he walks across the room to their bed. He stops when they reach the bed. Pulling away, he looks down and smiles. Laying her down, he leans over her. Reaching up, she slowly runs her hand down his sides while she watches him. He lays down beside her, propping his head against his hand. Reaching up, he slowly runs one finger down the side of her face and along her jaw to her mouth. She kisses it softly as he smiles. He leans in, kissing her as he lays his hand against her throat.
For a moment, time seems to freeze until he moves to pull away. Reaching up, she buries her fingers in his hair, holding his mouth to her. Rolling to his back, he brings her with him. Wrapping his arms around her, he holds her to him. Finally, she pulls away. Looking down, she slowly moves her eyes over his face. He loosens his hold on her. Allowing her to sit up. "I thought you wanted this to go quickly." He says, laying his hands on her thighs.
"Maybe we could make it last a little bit." She says, laying her hands on his chest.
"Somehow I don't think you want to do that." He says, slowly moving his hands up her thighs.
"No more than you want to wait." She says, moving back.
He sucks in a deep breath as she settles over him. Leaning forwards, she nibbles gently against his throat while he moves his hands over her hips and up her back. He buries his fingers in her hair, holding her mouth against him while she plays with him. She feels him swallow before she looks up. Watching his expression as she moves her hips. "Cassie!" He groans. She pulls back and then leans over him and bracing her hands beside his head. She moves again and his grip tightens. Raising his head, he reaches for her breast.
Taking her nipple into his mouth, he plays with it. Rolling his tongue over it as she lets her head drop. Sitting up, she pulls away from him as he lays back down. He looks up, watching her for a moment. He can feel the desire pressing in on them. He reaches for her, letting his fingers move slowly over her body, caressing her. She sucks in a deep breath while surges of need flash over her. He looks up and smiles. "Are you going to stop teasing me?"
She looks down and replies with a devilish grin. "I like teasing you."
Sitting up, he wraps his arms around her. She laughs softly as he leans in to kiss her. "We'll do it this way." He says softly, as he lays her back. Leaning over her, he slips inside. They both close their eyes, savoring the feel of their bodies connecting.
Leaning up, he surges forward, thrusting deep. "Richard!" She cries, arching her back as she moves with him. He settles into a steady rhythm. Thrusting deep over and over again while she moves with him. Desire rolls through them like storm clouds roll over an open sky.
The feeling of electricity rolls down his back. "Cassie!" He groans.
He thrusts again and he feels her body tighten around him, squeezing him as he surges forward. A throbbing wave washes over her. He moves again, thrusting deep with each surge of spent desire until finally the desire pressing in on him bursts free, flooding her body with surges of answering ecstasy until he collapses into her arms.
