A Fresh Start

Chapter Two Hundred Twenty One

Richard carries her into their bedroom. Laying her down on the bed, he lays down beside her kissing her as she reaches up and wraps her arms around him. She buries her fingers in his hair, holding him to her. The silence is filled with their breathing and Cassie's soft sigh. After a few moments, he leans back and looks down. "Yes, I'm that impatient." He says, slowly moving his eyes down her face. "I am always impatient when it comes to you."

"I want you just as much." She says, leaning up and kissing him again

He leans back after a moment. "You make me happy." He says, watching her.

"Why do I make you happy?"

"I don't know. You just do. I feel complete when I'm with you, the boys and the baby. And I want you to know that I'll protect all of you from whatever this campaign brings."

She reaches up and lays a finger across his mouth. "I'm not worried about the campaign. We'll deal with whatever comes up and the baby will be fine and I will be fine." She leans up and kisses him.

He forgets about the campaign. Settling against her again, he rolls to his back, bringing her with him. She pulls away after a moment. Sitting up, she looks down into his eyes. She sees incredible love and desire shining there. Crossing her arms, she pulls her nightgown over her head while he watches her.

After a moment, he reaches up and cups her breast, slowly moving his thumbs over her nipples. She looks down, watching him. A small shiver rolls down her spine as she realizes how hot the fire is burning inside him. Wrapping one arm around her waist, he pulls her towards him. She leans over him as he leans up and lightly caresses her nipple with his tongue. Opening his mouth, he takes her breast into his mouth. The warmth of his breath rolls over her, pushing her desire higher. She focuses on what he's doing with his mouth and tongue until he reaches up and gently squeezes her other breast. "Richard!" She sighs, moving closer to him. She moves back, lying against him as she braces her hand one either side of his head.

Reaching up, he wraps his arms around her, holding her while he continues. Swells over heat rush through her body until she moans softly and finally pulls away. Moving back, she catches his mouth, kissing him as he moves his hand down her back, pulling her to him. He's desperate to hang onto her but also willing to let her go as far as she wants. There's a war raging inside him until she finally decides.

Sitting up, she moves back until she's at his knees. She looks up as she lays her hands at his waist. He's staring at her, waiting. She smiles as she tugs one his pajamas and he lifts his hips. She pulls working them over his hips and down his legs. When they reach his knees, he kicks them off as she looks up. He's watching her as she moves her gazes up his body. Her gaze settles at his hips, watching his desire grow before her. She finally moves her gaze up his chest until she reaches his face. Their eyes lock as she licks her lips and he shudders slightly. He holds his hand out to her and she takes it. Letting him pull her to him, he reaches for her mouth when she's close enough. They kiss as he moves his hand down her back to her waist. Pulling away, he looks up and says. "Take the rest off."

She moves back. Kneeling between his legs, she pushes her panties down and then lays back and pulls them off, tossing them to the floor as she moves to kneel over him. He leans up, catching her mouth. They kiss for a moment and then she pulls away, moving down his body, softly kissing and nibbling on his chest as she moves down his body. She pauses, letting the warmth of her breath flow over his stomach for a moment before she looks up as she dips her tongue into his navel.

Reaching for the comforter, he clings to it while electricity rushes through his body. She feels him tense and she looks up, watching him while she plays with his navel, caressing him with her tongue. Jolts of desire surge through him. He can feel his erection, throbbing with each surge. "Cassie." He groans, closing his eyes.

She reaches for him, closing her hand around him and squeezing him slightly as she caresses him. She teases his navel as his grip tightens on the comforter. Finally after a couple minutes, she sits back. She takes a deep breath, fighting the urge to end it. He takes the decision out of her hands. Sitting up, he reaches for her and pulls her to him. Wrapping his arms around her, he kisses her as he lays her back. Bracing his hand on either side of her head, he leans in and nibbles on her chin as she opens her body to him. He moves into place, slipping inside her. "Richard!" She groans, wrapping her arms around him, pulling him to her

Leaning onto his forearms, he sinks deeper and thrusts deep, he feels her body tighten around him as he pulls away. He leans in, kissing the side of her neck as they surge together over and over, each caresses bringing them closer to the end. Leaning up, he moves deep, caressing her deep within until he feels the muscles surrounding him cling to him. He keeps going and she moves with him, fighting each withdrawal, clinging to each surge forward.

A throbbing pulse starts deep inside her, surging forward with each thrust until it rolls over her, caressing him. He moves over and over again, drawing each wave from deep inside her until the final wave grabs him and pulls his release free from his body, filling her with each throbbing pulse. Gasping for breath, he sinks against her, burying his head in her neck. She sucks in a deep breath while little flutters of their release surge through them.

Finally after several moments, he leans back and looks down. "I wanted to let you do what you wanted, but I couldn't." He says, kissing her.

She moves her hands up his back, burying her hands in his hair, deepening the kiss for a moment before she pulls away. "I needed you and you knew that." She says, watching him.

Moving off her, he lays down beside her, sucking in a deep breath as he puts his arm under her head. She moves over to him, laying her head on his chest. She snuggles in close to him, laying her arm and leg over him. He switches arms and wraps his arm around her pulling her to him. "I love you." He says softly.

"I love you too." She says, letting the heat from his body sink into her. She closes her eyes.

The rhythm of her breathing changes and he looks down, smiling he closes his eyes, he lays there for a while, listening to the rhythm of her breathing. Finally after about ten minutes, he pulls his arms free and moves away from her. She mumbles something in her sleep but doesn't wake up. Getting up, he pulls the covers back and then walks around to the other side of the bed. Picking her up, he carries her to the other side. Laying her down, he pulls the covers up and then walks around to his side of the bed. Pulling the covers back, he gets in. Lying down, she instinctively moves over to him, resuming the position she was laying in before. Sighing, he closes his eyes and goes to sleep.

Sam walks into the bedroom after telling Megan and the boys good night. Jeffrey is lying on the bed when she walks in. "Is everything okay?" He asks, watching her walks towards the bed.

"Yes, why?" She replies, climbing onto the bed to lay down beside him.

"You were gone a long time."

"I told the boys a story before they went to sleep."

Holding his arm up, he says. "Come here."

She settles back against him as she asks. "When are you going to tell Billy about Lewis Oil?"

"Probably not until I receive official word from the SEC that the deals gone through."

"Do you think there will be any problems?" She asks, turning to face him

"No, I don't see why there would be." He says, playing with her hair. There are several moments of silence and after a while Jeffrey looks down to see if she's fallen asleep. "What's on your mind?" He asks. "Are you thinking about Mr. Holtzmeir?"

"No, I wasn't thinking about him."

"So, what are you thinking about?" He asks, looking at her.

"Did something seem off to you with Megan?" Sam asks, laying her head on his chest.

"What do you mean by off?"

"I don't know." Sam says, moving her hand down his chest. He's quiet, waiting for her to say more. "She seems a little distant. It's like she's uncomfortable about something, but she doesn't want to say anything. And I think it's strange that she didn't want to eat with us. I think she only gave in because she didn't want to talk about what's bothering her." Sam says, looking up. She waits for him to say something, when he doesn't she pulls away from him and says. "J." Sighing, he looks at her. "You know something." She says, sitting up and crossing her arms and legs.

Sighing again, he says. "I don't think the problem is with you."

"What do you mean you don't think it's with me? Who would it be then?" He looks at her. "You think the problem is with you. Why would she be upset with you? She's only been here a day." He looks away. "Jeffrey, why would she be mad at you?"

He doesn't say anything. Turning away from him, she moves to get off the bed. "Where are you going?"

"To find out if she is mad at you and why."

"Take a moment and think about it." He says, reaching out to stop her from leaving. She simply stares at him. "I wasn't going to say anything about this. But I don't think she likes the fact that I was accused of raping Olivia."

"What! Why would she… why would that even matter? You didn't rape her as the video tape proved."

"But she's never seen the video tape, has she."

"She can't possibly be upset about that. It makes no sense."

"It makes a lot of sense. She only knows me through the things you told her."

"And everything I told her was the truth, including what we told her about you and Olivia. You were accused of raping her but you didn't. The video tape proves it."

"In some people's mind the accusation is enough for a conviction? That's why we screen jurors before a…."

"She's not juror and you're not on trial. You didn't rape Olivia. You would never do that to anyone."

"No I didn't rape her. But Megan doesn't know me like you know me and when I met Olivia, I was different than the man you know now. I was young and I was stupid and I had every intention of taking advantage of her, even though I knew she was underage, and technically, according to the law, he mother could've pressed statutory rape charges against me, had we been in the US." He says, as Sam shakes her head no.

"You wouldn't've done it."

"I can't say what I would've done. We were both drunk. If she hadn't've passed out and I hadn't've gone to sober up, leaving her alone for Edmund to rape. I would have slept with her then And I did when I came back. And I have very vague memories about what happened that night. Who's to say that she even knew what we were doing when I came back to that room."

"I saw the tape."

"You saw what was shown on the news."

"And it showed Edmund not you, raping her. She was as responsible for what happened that night as you were."

"I'm just saying that technically, even though Edmund actually raped her in the traditional sense of that word. I was guilty of statutory rape had we been in the US. The laws in San Cristobel are different, and Edmund negated what we did legally, but it doesn't change the fact that I slept with her, knowing she was underage."

She looks at him for a moment before she moves over to him. "I want you to answer this question honestly."

"Okay."
"If you and Olivia had not been drinking that night, would you've slept with her, knowing she was underage?"

He looks at her for a moment. "I want to think that I wouldn't've."

She sighs and then says. "You're not guilty of anything but being young and stupid. Both of you are responsible for your individual parts in what happened. You did not rape her. The videotape proves it and I know in my heart that you wouldn't do that." She says, as he reaches for her.

She moves into his arms laying her head on his chest. "Thank you for supporting me, but you didn't know the man that I was before I went into the agency. I was cocky and rebellious and I was angry. I wasn't even supposes to be drinking that night."

"We all fight the rules when we're younger. I fought against my father and the rules he placed on me."

"You had reason too. You're father controlled everything you ever did. The church controlled the rest. You were never allowed to be your own person."

"And you had reason to be angry. You're mother had just been murdered a few years before. The men that were responsible were free to rob and kill again. So she never had justice."

Sighing he looks at her and says. "This isn't going to settle anything. There will always be reasons to explain why we did something. The point is that, I believe Megan is worried about you because of what happened with Olivia. She doesn't know me like I know myself now and like you've always known me."

Sighing, she settles back against him. "I'll talk to her tomorrow."

"Don't fight with her because of what happened with me and Olivia? That's caused enough pain for all of us. Eventually she'll understand what happened and she'll relax about it." When she doesn't reply, he looks down and then smiles. She's fallen asleep. Turning his head, he kisses her forehead before he leans up and pulls the covers over her, settling back against his pillow and closing his eyes.

William walks out of the bathroom. Ava's lying on the bed. He tosses the towel he's using to dry his hair back into the bathroom. "Can't you hang that up?" She asks, looking up.

He looks at her and then turns around and picks the towel up, hanging it up before he comes back out. He walks over to the bed and pulling the covers back, he lays down beside her. "How did things go with Cassie and the planning?"

"Great, but I do need you to take another hour Friday." She says, turning to him.

"You need me to take another hour, why?"

"We need to pick out the wedding cake."

"You can't do that without me."

"No, I want your input. It'll only be for an hour. We can go after we see Dr. Sedgwick and then you won't miss work. I already told Cassie we would be there."

"You told Cassie we would be there."

"Yes. I didn't think you would mind."

"They're letting me off because I'm going with you to the Doctor. I can't go in and tell them that I'm going to need another hour so that we can taste wedding cake."

"Why not, it's your wedding too."

"It's our wedding. But honestly I don't care what type of cake we have. I'm not marrying the cake. I'm marrying you."

"This is part of it. I want to know what you think."

"This is what I think I don't care what you pick as long as we're married."

"You need to be involved with this. We're you not involved with the planning when you married Camille?" She says, looking at him.

"We went to the magistrate. It was over with in an hour. I was in jeans and t-shirt and so was she. There was no planning involved."

"Alright, but I want you to be involved with the planning. This is my first real wedding. Sandy and I didn't have that much of wedding either."

"Sandy?"

"He was a boy that I grew up with. My mom was dying and she wanted me to be happy and have someone to take care of me before she died. She asked Sandy to marry me. After she was gone, he went to Switzerland. Anyway, I want you involved with this wedding."

"I'll tell my guys that I will be gone longer Friday." He says, as she moves over to him and kisses him. When she pulls back, he asks. "When is your appointment?"

"Ten. We can go to lunch at Olivia's after my appointment and then we can taste the cakes and decide which one we want."

"Is Billy upset that you're not at the loft?"

"No, there's nothing I can really do there until after they finish the renovations and we don't have any pressing projects yet, so I'm free to focus on the wedding."

"When is Emma's party?"

"That is next week. But I have to get her candy. Dad's playing at Lizzie's club that Saturday night, do you want to go?"

"We can, but who's going to watch Emma."

"I'll see if Richard and Cassie are going and if they are we can leave Emma with the boys and Ms. Chitwood."

"She'll want to stay with Will anyway."

"Do you think those two will get together?"

"They're five years old."

"So, Reva and Josh were kids when they fell in love."

"Maybe they will, maybe they won't. I think it's a little soon to be worried about it though."

"I'm not worried." She says, laying her head on his chest.

"How is our little one doing?"

"He's fine."

"Did you talk to Sam about going with you to look for a dress?"

"No, I need to do that." She says, moving over to her side of the bed.

She reaches for her phone as he asks. "What are you doing?"

"I am putting a reminder in my phone to go by and see her tomorrow. I haven't seen them in a few days and I haven't talked to my Dad since the meeting with Billy."

"How did that go, by the way?"

"As I expected, he didn't care what we do with the loft."

"I know we were supposed to go out tonight." He says, as she moves back over to him after she puts her phone down. "And I'm sorry…."

"You can't help it that you had to work late." She says, lying down beside him.

"We can do it tomorrow unless there's something else we have to do."

"No, I'll call the babysitter and have her come tomorrow evening." There's a couple moments of silence and then she says. "I forgot to tell you that RJ's playing this weekend."

"I thought he was sick."

"Cassie said his fever broke in a few days and he's taking his antibiotics so they're going to let him play."

"Do you know where they're playing?"

"Cassie didn't say."

"Alright, I'll ask Richard when I talk to him." He says, as she yawns. "Let's go to sleep." He says, settling into the bed as she lies down on her side. He moves in behind her. Putting his arm across her waist, he pulls her back against him. Within moments they're both asleep.

Reva walks into the Beacon the next morning. Carrying in the supplies she bought for the wedding/baby showers. She looks around to make sure Cassie's not around as she walks through the lobby. She walks into her office as her assistant walks in. "I'm sorry I'm late Mrs. Lewis." She says.

"It's alright Preston. I just got here myself."

"Yes ma'am. Do you need any help ma'am?"

"I think I have everything." Reva says, walking into her office.

"I'll start the coffee."

"That would be great." Reva says, as she sits down at her desk. She's listening to her messages when Preston brings her a cup of coffee. "Thank you. Do you know if my sister arrived yet?"

"I'm not sure ma'am, but I can call her assistant to find out."

"That's alright. I'll stop by her office before I go out to the lobby."

"Yes ma'am." She replies before she turns to leave.

Reva looks over her calendar before she leaves. Cassie's walking into the lobby as Reva walks in from her office. Spotting her, she walks over to her. "Cassie."

"Hi, how are you?" She says, as they hug

"I'm good. Are you busy?"

"No, I just got here. I haven't even been to my office."

"I was thinking that we need to throw Sam and Ava a baby shower and Ava a wedding shower."

"I didn't think about it, but you're right. Did you have some time in mind?"

"Well since Ava's having the wedding here at the Beacon, I thought we could have it here."

"We've got a meeting tomorrow to go over the details. How do we get Sam here?"

"Isn't she involved with the wedding?"'

"Ava was going to talk to her about going with us this weekend to look at dresses. We're supposes to go look after RJ's game Saturday."
"He's playing?"

"Yes, his fever broke and he's taking his antibiotics so we're going to let him play."

"I'll be sure to be there. Where's the game?"

"I think it's here, but then it might be out of town this week. I'll have to check."

"Alright. Do you want to call Sam or should I?"

"I'll call her. I want to make sure everything is okay with her and Jeffrey."

"I didn't know they were having any problems. What's going on?"

"It's nothing serious. Sam had a patient that has Jeffrey worried and I lent Sam my car so that she could follow up with this patient and I want to make sure that Jeffrey's not too put out at both of us."

"He's worried about one of her patients, I don't understand."

"Apparently, this particular patient reminds Sam of her childhood and Jeffrey's afraid she'll try to do something to the people that hurt this patient. And being that Sam's pregnant, he wants to protect her. Although we both know that she's not going to do anything to jeopardize him or the baby. Anyway, she came to me the other day and asked to use my car to find the woman that brought this patient into her clinic. She didn't say much to us when she brought the car back, but I want to make sure that she's okay and that everything is okay with Jeffrey."

"`Then I'm going to go speak to the chef about using the banquet room…."

"Let's do it in my office. It's more intimate and private."

"Alright, I'll bring the stuff I bought to your office. Harley's going to talk to Buzz about making the cake "

"That's fine."

"Good."

"After I call Sam, I'm going to check the receipts from last night. What are you doing?"

"I've got some last minute things to do for Ladies Auxiliary."

"I'll let you handle that. Although I'm not sure I'm going to offer them a contract next year."

"I can handle them, this year and next year." Reva says, as they walk towards their offices.

Sam is in the kitchen the next morning when Megan comes downstairs. "Good morning." Sam says, reaching for another cup for her.

"Thanks." Megan says, pouring a cup of coffee. "Why is the window open? It's freezing outside."

"It's the only way I can make coffee in the morning, the smell." Sam says, taking a drink of her orange juice.

"If it makes you sick, why do you make it?"

"For J, he likes coffee in the morning and I'm not able to fix his breakfast right now either so at least I can make his coffee."

"He can't get coffee at work or on the way to work."

"He could, but I want to do this for him."

"At least he could do that for you, instead of you making yourself sick to make him coffee in the morning."

"I seem to remember you doing things for Patrick while you were pregnant that made you sick."

"At least Patrick was…." Megan turns to leave.

"Was what?" Sam asks, stopping her.

"At least Patrick was worth it."

"Jeffrey's worth it too."

"If you say so." Megan says, turning to leave.

"Meg, I've never liked it when people beat around the bush when they have something to say. So why don't you say what's on your mind?"

Megan looks at her. "He's a rapists Sam."

Sam looks at her and then says. "No, he was accused of rape. He was cleared of all charges."

"So, he says."

"No, so I say. And my word should be enough for you to trust me and believe in him."

"I don't even know him.

"That's right, you don't know him. He didn't rape her. He made a mistake but he didn't rape her."

"You don't know…."

"Yes, I do. I saw the tape myself." Sam says, looking at her. She can tell that she's not convinced. "I think it's best if you do move into your place this weekend." Sam says, turning to walk out of the kitchen, leaving Megan standing alone. A few minutes later, the boys come downstairs and they leave.

Jeffrey is coming out of the bathroom, when she walks in. "Hi." He says, without looking up from drying his hair. Sam doesn't answer as she walks over to her dresser. "Sam." He says, laying his towel down as he turns to look at her. "What happened?" He asks, seeing the tears in her eyes. "Is it Mr.…?"

"No. I spoke to Megan." Sam says, pulling out a pair of scrubs, bra and panties.

"Oh. What did she say?" Jeffrey asks, walking over to her.

"She confirmed what you said. She's upset because you were accused of rape. She thinks it's not worth me making coffee for you in the morning if it makes me sick."

"I'm not." He says, as she looks at him. "Alright, not the time for jokes. How did coffee get involved with this?"

"I was downstairs making coffee and she came down. I got her a cup and while she was pouring it, she asked about the window being open and I explained that it's the only way I can make coffee for you in the morning. When I explained that to her, she made the comment about you not being worth me making coffee for and it went from there. I told her that I think it's best if she does move into her place this weekend."

"Sam! You're her sister. She's being protective."

"She can support you or not. I don't care. But I'm supporting you."

He reaches for her. Wrapping his arms around her, he says. "I know you are. So don't be hasty when you give her an ultimatum."

"You're my husband. I'm going to support you. She will have to accept that."

"She's your sister and I know you support me, so don't push her away."

"She's judging you based on a word, based on something that happened when you were barely an adult and not totally responsible for."

"But I was an adult. I knew she was underage when I slept with her. I didn't care…."

"You both were drunk."

"She was drunk. I was sober enough to tell her no. I didn't want to."

"I get that you regret what happened with Olivia but it's not all on your shoulders. And what she's judging you for, you're not guilty of."

"I may not have raped her, but I did use her."

"Maybe, but she has no right to judge you based on something you're not guilty for."

"People are judge on less."

"I don't care." Sam says fiercely.

"Alright, thank you for supporting me but please don't cut ties with her because of this. You've wanted her here now she is. I'm not worth you giving up your sister."

"I'm not giving her up but she's not going to disrespect both of us by judging you for something that you're not guilty of."

"Alright." He says, releasing her.

"I'm going to get a shower. Do you have to leave?"

"Yes. I'll get my coffee and I'll be sure to close the window." He says, leaning over to kiss her.

"Thank you." She says, turning to leave. She turns back around. "I've got an appointment with Dr. Sedgwick tomorrow."

"It's on my calendar."

"I'll see you tonight. I love you."

"I love both of you." He says, she smiles as they both turn away from each other.

Megan was gone by the time Jeffrey came downstairs. He pours himself a cup of coffee. Turning the pot off and then closing the window. He reaches for a note pad. "Don't fight with her about this. She'll come around. Love you J." He leaves the note on the counter before he leave.

Sam is in her office when her cell phone rings. Pulling it from her lab coat, she answers. "Dr. O'Neill."

"Sam, it's Ava."

"Oh, hi. How are you? How's the wedding planning going?"

"It's actually coming together. I've worked everything out with Cassie and the staff at the Beacon. Listen Cassie and I are going to look for my dress Saturday after RJ's game and I wanted to know if you would be able to come?"

"Of course I'll come. It'll give Jeffrey time to rehearse for next week."

"Great, I'm not sure when the games over. How about I call you after we leave the game?"

"That's great."

"Good, I'll talk to you then." Ava says.

"Okay." They hang up. Sam leaves her office for a patient.

She's wrapping up with that patient when her cell phone rings again. "Make that appointment with the specialist and we'll go from there, Ms. Brothers."

"I will. Thank you." She says, walking away as Sam pulls her phone out of her lab coat.

"Hello."

"Sam, it's Cassie."

"Hi, how are you?"

"I'm well. I'm calling because Reva and I just talked and we're throwing Ava a wedding/baby shower tomorrow and we wanted to know if you could come?"

"Tomorrow, what time?"

"Well, I've got a meeting with her about the wedding at eleven. It's a lunch meeting. If you want to come then, we can have the shower at the same time."

"I can be there. I've got an appointment with Dr. Sedgwick in the afternoon so I'm free after ten. I think that's my last appointment."

"Great, I'll tell Reva that you're going to be there."

"Good, I'll see you then."

She's about to hang up when Cassie says. "Sam, how are things with Jeffrey?"

"They're fine, why?"

"I know he was worried about the issues considering the patient that was brought in to your clinic this week."

"We've worked those out. I'm letting Frank and social services handle the investigation. I haven't had time yet to contact the social worker that's handling Arianna's case, but I will."

"Does he know you're going to contact her?"

"Yes, I told him I was. And he's okay with it as long as I let Frank and social services handle the rest. And I don't go running off to Laurel Falls to confront the leader of this group. Which I'm not going to do since we've had some other things come up that's convinced me to let the law handle everything."

"What other things?"

"It seems that this group is associated with my brother."

"This is associated with your brother, how?"

"Apparently he's moved from Georgia to here, and he's under investigation for fraud and bribery. So, with that I think it's best if I stay out of it."

"Why would he move up here?"

"I don't know. I haven't spoken to him since the wedding. I have no intention of speaking to him in the near future, so everything is fine with me and Jeffrey. I have more pressing issues right now than my brother."

"Something else happened?"

"Yes, my sister moved from DC."

"Megan moved from DC."

"Yes, she arrived a couple nights ago."

"That's great. Where is she staying?"

"She's staying with us till this weekend and then her and the boys will be moving into her own place."

"Something else happened?" Cassie says, Sam's tone catching her attention.

"I've handled it."

"What happened?"
Sighing, Sam says. "She's upset because Jeffrey was accused of raping Olivia. I never told her about it before the other night and she's freaking out. Even though we both explained that he was cleared of all charges."

"He's not a rapist!"

"I know that, you know that, but she's freaked out and we got into a fight this morning because she made some comments about me making him some coffee when though the smell of coffee right now makes me sick."

"What did she say?"

"That he wasn't worth me making myself sick for."

"She did not say that."

"And that's how we got into the stuff that happened between him and Olivia. J doesn't want me to fight with her, but I'm not going to turn my back on him because she won't listen to me about what happened? She's saying that I shouldn't take his word that he was cleared."

"What about the tape? We've all seen the parts that were played at that guys trial."

"I know."

"It clearly shows Edmund forcing her to have sex with him after Jeffrey left her."

"I know it shows that. And I told Megan that I've seen the tape and she should take me at my word that he didn't rape her."

"I know you want to defend him and you can. But speaking from personal experience, it's never a good idea to feud with your sister over a man. Reva and I fought over Richard and it made us both miserable."

"Why would Reva fight you for Richard? She had Josh."

"Yes. But at the time she was just finding out about her time in San Cristobel and they were looking for their son. That was forcing all the buried feelings she had for Richard to the surface and then we came down to San Cristobel, partly because Josh over-reacted to what Richard told him he would do if he didn't leave Reva alone so that they could find Jonathan. We went to San Cristobel to rescue Reva and there was an instant connection between Richard and I. But I fought how I felt for him. And I tried to get Reva to admit what she was feeling for him. It was big mess."

"So, how did you start talking again?"

"We both were trapped in the elevator at Towers and it forced us to really talk. She admitted that she had ignored her feelings for Richard. And she forced me to admit that I could have never married him without him being in love with me. But by that time, Richard and I had admitted that loved each other so it really didn't change our relationship. It just brought Reva and I back together."

"Well I don't think I can get us trapped in a elevator."

"No, but you have to talk to her and make her understand about Jeffrey and Olivia. I think that's all that Jeffrey wants."

"Thanks for the advice. I've got to go. I've got a patient coming in." Sam says, as she glances at her watch.

"That's fine. We'll see you tomorrow?"

"Yes, where at?"

"Here at the Beacon, in my office."

"I'll be there."

"See you then." Cassie says, before they hang up
