Chapter FORTY SEVEN

Everything was quiet as the timer finally rang. Lite stopped just before hand thrust through Juvia's leg and he sigh, before returning himself.

Rustyrose was announced the winner but no sound of congratulate came from the audience.

The medics rushed over to Juvia. Several mages from Fairy tail joined them.

All the wounds inflicted on the Fairy tail mage were not meant to kill, but to inflict pain. Lite had purposely aimed for the places with less blood.

Rustyrose walked off as if he was in a trance. He had just realized just what kind of spirit he had made a contract with.

Wendy held herself back from going to the infirmary. Porlyusica would probably be there. Juvia would be in good hands.

"I'll kill him." Meredy snarled. "That...that..."

The scores were released, but for once, no one seemed to really care.

1st: Grim Requiem: 58

2nd Fairy tail A: 39

3rd: Fairy tail B: 28

4th: Saber tooth: 31

5th: Lamia Scale: 23

6th: Quarto Cerberus / Blue Pegasus: 16

8th: Mermaid Heel: 14

Already, stories of the final fight were being made and passed along, changing and stretching as it passed from ear to ear.

"How are you feeling?" Jellal asked. He meant that in more than one way.

"F-fine. I'll be fine soon." Lucy said, also with a double meaning, from where she was sitting on the couch. Then to break the tension, she added. "My tongue isn't mo-moving right, though."

Jellal chuckled. "Well, you better rest."

"Look at them, all cute and cuddly." Meredy mumbled, looking ready to pass out.

Jellal and Lucy were asleep on the couch, cloak and all.

"It's like, the perfect scene for a romantic movie ending." Merede continued.

"Did you guys hear about the most cutest couples competition for the Sorcerer Magazine? The winner gets ten free tickets to an all-you-can-eat buffet!" Meredy giggled. "Guess what I'm thinking."

Wendy smiled nervously. "But what if they don't like it..."

"Too bad, they're asleep." Meredy waved her hand dismissively. "Dark and mysterious wins the prize."

Lucy woke to the sound of voices. With her eyes still closed, she tested each of her limbs. She could more or less move. Maybe nothing too complex until tomorrow, as she could feel her whole body shaking. She couldn't feel Jellal beside her and she opened her eyes. Her guild mates were sitting around their planning table, which they had dubbed 'the table'.

"We can expect tomorrow's even to be some sort of battle, as it is the last day before the Grand Magic Game. It's bound to be something that's interesting and tension rising." Meredy was saying.

Carla nodded. "I think we can also expect the second part to be the Tag battle, and we can already guess which two will be chosen."

They all eyed Jellal, then Lucy. Jellal smiled. "Well, we're all set for a grand entrance."

"As for tomorrow's even, we can send out Midnight. He hasn't done anything yet." Sting offered.

Midnight showed a rare smile and Jellal nodded.

"Well, tomorrow's a busy day, so make sure to get some rest." He ordered. He dismissed everyone and they exchanged Good nights before returning to their respective rooms.

"Did you hear everything?" Jellal asked.

Lucy slowly nodded. Jellal nodded in return and lifted her to her feet. He then slowly helped her to their room.

Lucy went through the slow and painful process of brushing her teeth and taking a shower. She then changed into clothes comfortable for sleep and told Jellal that the bathroom was vacant. By the time she was done, her whole body was hurting and she managed to reach the chair before her legs gave out.

The events of today came crashing down on her. Even with her dulled senses, she had heard the screams.

She sat at her desk and wrote a rather shaky letter to her mother and looked up only when Jellal came out, clad in baggy clothes with a towel draped over his shoulder.

Jellal grinned back and he lay down on his bed.

"Are you okay?" He asked.

Lucy knew exactly what he was talking about. Juvia was a very good friend of hers. She slowly nodded, and forced herself to smile, which didn't help the situation.

Jellal stood up and led Lucy towards her bed, and he sat down and Lucy crawled under the covers.

"We'll get him back, I promise." Jellal whispered. "So you can relax and go to sleep thinking of all the torture you're going to put him through. I'm sure Demon Lucy level eig-" He stopped and bit his tongue. He was dead.

Lucy raised an eyebrow, a warning glinting in her eyes.

And so, he was forced to tell the blonde mage of how the males in the guild had labeled her anger levels from one to ten, ten being the most scary.

He was sure that even Lite would be shaking in his shoes if the spirit saw what Jellal had been through.

Lucy groaned and slowly sat up. She was happy when she realized that she could move around without feeling pain in her joints.

It was still early. She sat on her bed for a moment, thinking over her plan. Should she? Or should she not?

Finally making up her mind, she wrote a quick letter to Jellal, telling him that she was going out and they they should meet up at the Stadium. She left it on the table beside his desk and changed into her 'Valkyrie' outfit.

She grabbed her cloak and secured it around her shoulders. She then stepped out of the quiet inn. Everyone was still asleep.

She turned to look across the street, where the Fairy tail's inn was. A few lights were on. She smiled softly and teleported to the Stadium.

Juvia woke to the sound of soft footsteps. She listened as they gradually drew closer and closer, until they stopped in front of her door. She stiffened, her mind flying through images of Lite.

The door was slowly opened to reveal a cloaked figure.

Juvia pretended that she was asleep and peeked out under the blanket.

The figure reached into their cloak and pulled out something gold and sparkly. There was a flash and something appeared.

Juvia instantly recognized them to be Lucy's spirits, Gemini. Lucy...they hadn't heard from her ever since she had left. How did this person have Lucy's spirit?

However, at the moment, she had more pressing matters to worry about. She watched warily as the spirit twirled around and another flash occurred. When it died away, Wendy stood in their place. Juvia inwardly cringed. Wendy had disappeared along with Carla right after Lucy had vanished.

Gemi-Wendy stepped towards Juvia and began the healing process.

Juvia felt the pain begin to vanish and wondered what the cloaked stranger was after. Gemi-Wendy stepped back when the sun rose over the room window. The games would start soon. Juvia could already hear the crowd.

Just then, a single set of footsteps stopped outside the door. The figure froze and whipped around. The door was yanked open, revealing Gray.

His eyes widened and his mouth opened, as if to yell, when he caught sight of Gemi-Wendy. The figure quickly waved her hand and Gemi-Wendy turned back into Gemini. The spirit returned back into the key.

The two stood there, not moving, as they stared at each other.

"Juvia. We'll avenge you. I promise." Then the stranger was gone in a swirl of black.

Mwahahahahaha.

How are you people? :) Just random!
