A Fresh Start
Chapter Two Hundred Fifty Seven
Richard walks out of his first meeting. Turning to his appointment, he holds his hand out. "Thank you for coming in." He says, as they shake hands.
"We'll look forwards to hearing from you." The man says before he turns and walks away.
Richard turns to go back into his office. "Sir, this file just came for you and the mayor is in his office now."
"Thank you." Richard says, taking the file. "I'll be in Jeffrey's office." He says, walking over to the door as she nods.
A few moments later, he walks into Jeffrey's outer office. Stace looks up as he walks in. "Good Morning, Mr. Winslow." She says,
"Good morning Stace, is Jeffrey in?"
"Yes sir." She says, as he turns for Jeffrey's office door. "I'll announce you." She says, reaching for the intercom. "Sir, Mr. Winslow is here to see you."
"Send him in." Jeffrey says, as Richard opens the door. "Richard, it's good to see you." Jeffrey says, getting up.
"Good morning." Richard says, as he closes the door and Jeffrey walks around his desk.
"How's Cassie and the boys? How's Will?"
"They're all doing fine. Will went back to school today. And Cassie is at the Beacon, working on Ava's wedding, I think."
"It's sort of ironic." Jeffrey says, leaning against his desk.
"What is?"
"I just found out I'm her father and I'm about to give her away." He says, shaking his head.
"Ahhh, I don't think they ever leave." Richard says, sitting down in one of the guest chairs. "Cassie talks to James all the time now?"
"How is that going?"
"Oh, everything seems to be going fine."
"And Olivia?"
"James doesn't say much about that. Olivia is still working on the project over there, but she call it quits on their relationship, at least that's the last I heard about it from Cassie."
"So, what brings you by?"
"I was wondering if you still have connections to the agency."
"I have the same connections you have, Noah."
"Yes, well I'm not sure where things stand with me and Noah. And I need some thing done but I want it done quietly."
"Alright, what's the problem?"
"After the coup in San Cristobel and the election, I set up a trust fund for Cassie, and the kids. It was meant to be there for them if something happened to me. Cassie knew about it and you knew about it."
"Yes, I remember you telling me about it after you set it up. It was just before you took the oath of office for San Cristobel."
"That's right, so when I got to Springfield this summer, I reached out to my accountant and we went over all of my investments and financial information. That account has a balance of over five million dollars now."
"Well, with the current interest rate, I would think that was good."
"It is. But that's not the issue, Last night I told Cassie about a private investment I'm looking at making with that money and she tells me that, that account should have zero balance. She said she used the money to pay off a loan that Danny gave her to cover my hospital bills from the accident."
"So if she used the money to pay off Danny, how did over five million dollars end up back in that account?"
"That's the question. I spoke with my accountant this morning. He said that Danny contacted him just before he and Michelle left town saying he wanted to return the money back to Cassie, but he didn't want Cassie to know about it."
"And you want to know if it's clean money."
"It crossed my mind. If it was clean money, why wouldn't he want Cassie to know it was there?"
"Danny seemed to be legitimate when he and Michelle left Springfield. I dismantled most of the Santos organization when I came to town. But there might've been some lingering connections to the mob."
"So, can we look at this account and determine where the money came from."
"The agency has forensic accountants that could dig into it."
"That's good. I'll have to speak to Marah."
"Marah, what does she have to do with this?"
"I was going to use the money to invest in her fashion house."
"She's starting a fashion house, here."
"Yes, she approached Springfield National about a loan but they turned her down, probably on Alan's orders."
"Alan's in prison. Do you really think he's giving orders still?"
"It's Alan Spaulding. You think being in prison will keep him from controlling, or trying to control what happens in Springfield?'
"No, I suppose not. Alright, do you have the information on this account?"
"Yes, everything is right here. I had my accountant send it over to my office.
"Well, then I'll send it to the agency through secure communication and we'll see what's going on?" Jeffrey says, taking the file that Richard is holding out.
"Thank you."
"So, what's going on with you and Noah?" Jeffrey says, sitting the file on his desk.
"I haven't had much contact with him since he and Reva broke up. That was before we..."
"I remember, it was after the earthquake and before you left San Cristobel. They were dating until her realized that she would always love Josh."
"Yes, well we haven't really talked since they broke up, I had an accident and was presumed dead before I woke up in DC."
"Maybe you should contact him."
Richard stands up. "Actually, this is the nature of our relationship Noah was never one for staying in close contact with anyone."
"I didn't know him that well. We met a few times on different op's and things but we were never close. Maybe I reminded him of you."
"Can't see how that could happen." Richard says, with a smile.
"Me either." Jeffrey replies, smiling back. "I'll send this in today and have them rush it. But tell Marah, if she wants an investor, I'll invest in the deal."
"I'll tell her." Richard says, turning to leave as Jeffrey follows him to the door. When they reach the door, Jeffrey opens it and then shakes Richard's hand. "We'll see you at the fund raiser."
"Good, see you then." Richard says, as they shake hands and then he leaves.
Picking up his phone, Rudy dials a number. After a couple rings a man picks up. "Aggie, we need to meet." He says.
"I'm busy."
"Really."
"Yes."
"Let's see how busy you are when I tell..."
"What do you want?"
"I'm not discussing it now. Meet me in the park."
"Man, it's cold."
"Get your ass there in an hour." Rudy says, hanging up.
An hour later, a skinny kid walk up and sits down beside Rudy. "I'm here." Aggie says, settling back against the bench.
"Check the attitude."
"You know what I think I'll take my chances with..."
"Really!" Rudy says, glancing at him.
"What do you want?"
"Here." He says, handing Aggie a CD. "I've got a copy of that. But I want you to use that to make one tape, alter the female voice and make it as damning as you can. Actually I need you to make two one with the woman another without her."
"Who and what is this about?"
"You don't need to know, just make the copies and I need them asap." Rudy says, getting up. He walks away. Aggie sits there for a moment and then leave.
After Richard leaves, Jeffrey picks up his phone and dials Noah's number. After a couple rings, Noah picks up. "Noah Chase."
"Noah, it's Jeffrey."
"How are you?"
"Good."
"And Sam?"
"She's beautiful." He says, glancing at her picture on his desk.
"You ready to be a father?"
"I'm getting there with only a few months to go. Listen Richard came by to see me this afternoon."
"Okay, how's he doing?"
"Good, if you didn't know he's running for mayor."
"Really, coming after you're job."
"No, I'm not running again."
"You're not, why?"
"I...it's not something I'm interested in and I want to be with Sam and the baby."
"So, what are you going to do?"
"I'm not sure, but I didn't call about that. When I was in San Cristobel, Richard set up a trust for Cassie and the kids, to take care of them in case something happened to him. The account was active until he died. And then Cassie used the money in that account to pay of the loan that Danny gave her to pay Richard's medical bills. So for years, Cassie thought that account was closed."
"Okay."
"Richard came to see me today because when he came back from San Cristobel last summer he met with his account to get an update on what their financial situation was. He was told that the balance on this account had doubled since he made the initially investment. Richard told Cassie about it last night, and she insisted that she closed that used the money in that account to pay Danny and that the account should have a zero balance."
"Okay, so what does Richard want me to do?"
"He wants you to find out where the money came from. He's concerned that with the connection to Danny, even though Danny is out of his family's business, it might appear questionable for the campaign."
"I can look into it. Do you have the information?"
"Yes, he left it with me. I can fax it to you and if you can have our accounting tech's look it over, just to clear up the origins of the money, he would feel a lot better."
"Go ahead and fax it to me and I'll take it to them myself."
"Thanks."
"I'm sort of surprised he didn't call me himself. In fact, he hasn't called me at all since before the wedding."
"Well, I know he's busy with his job, Cassie and the boys and now with Cassie being pregnant too, along with starting the campaign he doesn't have a lot of free time."
"I wonder if those are the only reasons he hasn't called." Jeffrey silence prompts Noah to ask. "Is there another reason?"
"Maybe you should..."
"Jeffrey, just tell me."
"I asked about him not calling you directly, especially since you were so close while I was in San Cristobel guarding him."
"And?"
"He's a little concerned about the fact that things didn't work out with you and Reva. And that you might blame him for that, or that's what he thinks anyway."
"That's complete nonsense."
"I'm only telling you what he told me when I asked him about it."
"Alright, I'll look into this for him."
"Good."
"Oh hey wait, I just remember something. You asked me to send agents out to a compound North of Springfield."
"I remember, but it doesn't matter now. Sam's brother was arrested a few days ago by federal agents from the IRS and Justice Department."
"Yeah, that's what I was going to tell you. The organization is already under investigation. So I pulled our agents back."
"That's fine. Sam's brother is in the Springfield jail without bond. I've already arranged for her own bodyguard until this is all over."
"Do you know when that will be?"
"The trial is scheduled to start some time next month for the original case. But I'm not up to date on her brother's case."
"Okay, well send the fax with Richard's information and I'll have our agents look it over and we'll get back to him."
"Good, thank you." Jeffrey says, as Stace buzzes him. "I've got to go. My one o' clock is here."
"I'll talk to you later then."
"Yes, later." Jeffrey says, sitting up. They both hang up at the same time.
Shortly before noon, Leah pulls up outside Dj's youth club. She pauses for a moment before she gets out of her car. Pulling her coat around her, she walks in after a group of kids. A young lady looks up when she walks up to the front counter. "Hello, may I help...?"
"I have this Elizabeth." Dj says, as Leah turns around.
She watches him for a moment before she asks. "How are...?"
"What do you want?" He asks, interrupting her.
"It's good to see you." She says, trying to get him to talk with her.
"I asked what do you want?" He says, staying on cue.
"Did you have a good Thanks...?"
"What do you want?" He demands, crossing his arms over his chest.
She looks at him and then steps closer to him. "You want to know what I want. I want my son back. I want you to stop acting like a spoiled brat. I messed up. I admit it and..." She holds up a finger when he opens his mouth. "And I' have apologized for it. I can't go back and change it. The sooner you accept that the better. I came to see how you were doing and to ask you to come over for Christmas. That's all I wanted." She says, before she turns and leaves. He stands there watching as she walks out.
After leaving, she drives over to Company. When she walks in, the table are mostly full with lunch time eaters. Taking a seat at the bar, she pulls a menu out of the holder as Buzz walks up and says. "Good afternoon."
"Hi." Leah says, her voice sounding weary.
"Tough day."
"No, the day is fine, the situation is tough." She says, as Buzz looks at her. "Never mind, it's too much to get into right now." She says, as Josh walks into the restaurant.
He walks over to one of the empty tables and as he passes by the bar, he notices Leah sitting at the bar, talking to Buzz. Taking a seat at the table, he reaches for the menu while he tries to covertly watch them. He's still watching them when his waitress walks up. "Are you ready to order?" She asks, drawing Josh's attention away from Buzz and Leah.
"I, umm." He looks at he menu and picks the first thing he sees. "I'll have fried fish po'boy with the Cajun fries and a glass of tea." Josh says, reading off the first thing on the menu."
"Yes sir, we'll have it right out." She says, taking his menu.
By the time he's finished ordering and he turns his attention back to Leah and Buzz their conversation has ended and Leah is looking out the window into the courtyard between Company and the boarding house. Getting up, he walks over to her. "Leah." He says.
Turning, she's surprised to see him. After a moment, she stutters. "Hi."
"Hello. I surprised you." He says, watching her.
"Yes. I wasn't expecting to see you, sorry. How are you?"
"I'm good. How are you?"
"I'm alright."
"Good, how was your thanksgiving?"
"Not really eventful." She says, as Buzz brings her food. "Thank you." She says, as Buzz nods.
"Josh."
"Buzz." Josh says, before Buzz turns to another customer. "You and Buzz seemed to be in a deep conversation when I walked in." Josh says, turning his attention back to Leah.
"Yes, we were talking about our children."
"So, you spent thanksgiving with Dj then?"
"No, I didn't. I was actually alone for..."
"You were alone."
"It's okay, Josh. I've spent several holidays by myself before." She says, picking up a french fry.
"So was that what you and Buzz were talking about, spending the holiday's alone without your kids."
"No, I was telling him about my latest encounter with Dj."
"You saw him."
"Yes, I went over to his youth club..."
"The south side..."
"I was fine. I wasn't there long enough for it to matter anyway." She says, after taking a drink.
"He wouldn't see you."
"No, he saw me, but I sort of lost my temper with him. I know we both screwed up and he has the right to be upset with us, but I've admit I was wrong and I've apologized for my part in it. I can't go back and change what happened that night, just like you can. We may want to, but I can't be done and that's what I told him." She says, as Marah walks up.
"Dad." Marah says, as Josh turns around.
"Oh hello sweetheart." He says, hugging her.
"Am I interrupting?" Marah asks, glancing at Leah.
"No, we were..." He glances at Leah and then Marah. "We were... ah..."
"We were discussing my son." Leah says, looking at Marah.
"Actually we were discuss our son, Marah I want you to meet Leah Rydall, Leah, this is my daughter Marah."
"Hello." Marah says, looking at her.
"Hello." Leah says, as Josh's waitress bring his food.
"I think your lunch is ready." Leah says, looking at his table. It's the only one that's empty right then. Josh turns around.
"Yes, it is." He says, before he looks at Leah. "Will you be...?"
"I'm fine, go enjoy your lunch. It was nice to meet you Marah." Leah says, looking at her.
"Yes ma'am." Marah says, before Josh turns away. Marah follows him as Leah turns back to her lunch.
Josh helps Marah with her chair while his waitress sits his food at his place. Walking around the table, he nods as she steps away and he sits down.
"May I get you something to eat or drink?" The waitress asks, turning to Marah.
"Give me a moment." Marah says, as she nods and turns away. Once she's gone and Josh is settled, Marah says. "That's his mother, isn't it."
Pausing, he looks at her and then nods once. "Yes, that's Dj's mother."
"Do you see her often?" Marah asks, watching him.
"No! That's the first time I've seen her since before Thanksgiving."
"You guys seemed to be in a deep conversation when I walked up."
"We were." Josh says, reaching for his glass. He takes a drink while Marah watches him. "We were discussing Dj, like we told you." He says, sitting his glass down.
"I thought he wasn't talking to either of you."
"He's not, and that's what we were discussing. She went to see him this afternoon and he's still behaving as he's been behaving. She's frustrated with the situation. She's apologized. I've apologized to him for what happened, but like she said, we can't go back and change what happened, but he refuses to see that or accept it."
"Maybe, he needs to talk to someone that's not directly involved with the situation."
"Like who?"
"Me."
"You, you're my daughter."
"And I'm his half-sister and talking to your siblings is easier than talking things out with your parents, no matter how old we are."
"Siblings or not, I don't think he'll be responsive to anything or anyone related to me, so maybe it's best if you stay out of it. What's going on with you?"
"Nothing much, I'm waiting for my attorney to speak with Uncle Richard's attorney..."
"Why would your attorney need to speak with Richard's attorney? And who is this attorney, it's not..."
"It's not Jeffrey. Although that's totally viable option since he is my uncle too. I'm surprised Mom didn't tell you about this."
"I've been busy with a new project and I haven't seen your mom much except at night and she's usually asleep by the time I get in."
"Everything is okay for you two, right?" Marah asks, as their waitress comes back. "Give me a little longer, I'm sorry." Marah says, as the girl nods and then walks away.
"It's fine. I've just been busy. So, what's this about attorneys?"
"Alright." She says, letting it go. "I spoke with the bank manager at Springfield National on Monday. I applied for a loan."
"O... why would to go to Springfield National? Your mother and I would've..."
"I know you would've helped me, but I wanted to do this on my own. I have the money from the settlement with Adam, but I want to save that or at least as much as I can. Anyway, they turned me down for the loan."
"Why would they do that?"
"It doesn't matter. Before I got their answer however, I told Uncle Richard about my idea to open a fashion house here in Springfield, exclusively producing my designs and maybe later a few other designers as well. Uncle Richard suggested that if I didn't the loan from the bank that I try getting private investors. So when they turned me down, I went to see him and he offered to finance the whole thing. That's why I'm waiting for our attorney's to talk and the paperwork to be processed."
"Wait, why would Richard invest in a fashion house? He, I'm sure, knows nothing about fashion."
"He doesn't, that's why he's acting as a silent partner. All the decisions will be made by me, he's only supplying the start up money and he's get some of the profits from the company." Marah says, as Richard walks in.
Some of the lunch crowd has cleared out and he spots Josh and Marah sitting at a table together. He walks over as Josh is finishing his lunch. "Hello." He says, as they look up.
"Hi." Josh says, pushing his plate back. "How are you?"
"I'm good. Actually now that I'm here and you're here Marah, I need to talk to you." Richard says, looking at her.
"Oh, okay." Marah says, moving to get up.
"No, stay." Josh says, raising his hand for the check. "I've got a meeting anyway." He says, as his waitress comes over. "Can I get my check and puts on as well." Josh says, as Marah starts to object.
"I can buy my daughter lunch." He says, as their waitress walks away. She returns with is check and he hands her enough cash to cover his bill, Marah's and a tip as well before he stands up. "Have a good lunch." He says, bending over to kiss the top of Marah's head. "Richard, it was good to see you again. Tell Cassie and the boy's hello."
"I will and thank you." Richard says, sitting down in the chair opposite Marah. "Maybe we should order before we get into things."
"Okay." Marah says, picking up her menu. Looking over the menu, she picks out a fresh spinach salad and small bowl of Buzz's chili.
When she puts her menu down, Richard raises his hand to get their waitresses attention. "Yes sir." She says, walking up to the table.
"We're ready to order." He says.
"Yes sir." She says, pulling out her tablet.
"Marah." He says, looking at her.
"Umm, I'll have the fresh spinach salad and a small bowl of Buzz's chili."
"Yes ma'am, and what would you like Sir?" She asks, turning to Richard.
"I'll have a bowl of chili as well." Richard says, handing her his menu. "Oh, and a glass of tea."
"Yes sir. Ma'am what would you like to drink?" She asks, looking at Marah.
"The water's fine, but can you bring me some lemon, please?"
"Yes ma'am. We'll have that out shortly." She says, making a note on her pad.
"Thank you." Marah says, as she nods and then turns to go.
"So." Says Marah as she walks away.
"I wanted to talk to you about the loan."
"Alright, but you're still going to invest."
"Yes, of course I am. It's going to take longer to get the money together." Richard says.
"That's okay, I doubt our lawyer's have even spoken to each other. I wasn't able to speak to mine until this morning anyway."
"No, I don't think you understand. This has nothing to do with our lawyer's. I was planning on using the money I had set aside for Cassie and the kids before we left San Cristobel. And when I told Cassie about..."
"She doesn't want you to..."
"No, she's all for me investing in this. It's just that when I told her about this, she insisted that she used that money shortly after my funeral to pay a loan back to Danny Santos. So according to her, the account should be closed, and it's not. In fact, it's doubled my original investment, so I'm having Noah look into it, just to understand where the money came from before hand."
"You're afraid the money had connections to Danny's illegal dealing for his family."
"I spoke with my attorney this morning, and according to him, the money came in from an anonymous deposit shortly after Cassie paid off that loan. I just want to be sure that nothing illegal is going on before I give it to you for an investment in your fashion house."
"No, I understand. How long do you think it'll be before you find out the results of this inquiry?"
"It shouldn't be long, but then it is the US government and they might be a little slower than we want them to."
"Alright." Marah says, as their waitress brings their food.
"Thank you." Richard says, before she turns to Marah, giving her, her food.
"Thank you." Marah says, smiling at her.
"You're welcome. Will there be anything else?"
"That's all for now, thank you." Richard says. She nods before she turns away.
Sam is upstairs when Jeffrey comes home, looking through her closet for a dress to wear to Richard's fundraiser. After locking the door and resetting the alarm, he calls out. "Sam." When she doesn't answer, he begins searching the house. She's upstairs in the closet when he comes in. "Why didn't you answer me when I called for you?" He asks, not really paying attention to what she's doing or her mood.
Jumping, she turns around and stares at him before she answers. "I'm a little preoccupied right now." She says, turning back around.
"What are you doing?" He asks, finally noticing the mess around her.
"I'm trying to find something to wear for tomorrow night, but nothing and I do mean nothing is fitting me." She says, glaring at him through the mirror and he finally catches her mood.
He walks over to her and goes to slips his arms around her but she pushes him away. "That's what brought this particular problem on." She snaps, dropping the dress in her hand and reaching for another one.
"Okay, I'm not sure what you want me to do, so I'm going to leave." He says, backing out.
"And that's typical." She says, grabbing another dress from the hanger.
"Wait, what does that mean?" He asks, looking at her.
"It means that when most men are faced with confrontation, they run, like a little dog with it's tail between it's legs."
"Then I guess I'll stay." He says, as she looks at him like he's grown three heads in the span of their conversation. "What!"
Her eyes widen with shock and then tears. "You just yelled at me. You never yell at me, even during missions and training, you never yelled at me."
"I didn't yell."
"Yes, you did. I look horrible. I can't find anything to wear because I'm as big as a damn beached whale. My feet and my back hurt and he's playing trampoline or bounce house on my bladder as we speak, so excuse me." She says, turning for the bathroom. She leaves him there staring after her.
After a couple seconds, he bends over and picks up one of the dresses on the floor beside him. Reaching for a hanger, he hangs it back up and then picks up another one. He's hanging up the third dress when she comes out of the bathroom. Stopping, she looks around and then at him. '"What are you doing?" She asks quietly.
Stopping, he turns around and then smiles. "I'm helping you out a little bit, by putting these back. You're not always going to be like this, so you're going to want these ready instead of in the dumpster behind the Save Mart."
"I wasn't going to throw them away." She says, walking over to him and reaching for the dress in his hand.
"Really, I remember a time when you took every pair of jeans you had and threw them out."
"That was because they were all ruined."
"So of them were salvageable, I thought."
"It's only because they gave you easier access."
"Some of them did define certain parts of your anatomy quite well." He says, slowly moving his eyes over her body."
"You're going to flirt with me now?" She demands.
"Yes I am. Because I happen to think you're incredibly sexy..." She opens her mouth. "...and beautiful and definitely the smarter one in this partnership, both professionally and personally." He finishes as he walks towards her. She tries to appear mad but he knows she's not. "And you want to kiss me, right now."
"Serious..." He leans in, silencing her with a kiss.
When he steps back, she takes a deep breath and then look up. "How is it you know when to do that?"
"Do what?"
"When to bring me back from the edge. I was in full meltdown mode about these dresses, and you come in and stopped it."
"Because that's my job." He says, pulling her closer. "And we'll get you a dress that fits, so really it's nothing to freak out about."
"Don't discount..."
"I'm not discounting what you are feeling and I understand why you would be in full meltdown mode. We're all changing. Do you not think that I don't have my moments of meltdown?"
"You never meltdown."
"I try to never let you see me meltdown, but you always seem to catch me doing it."
"When have I ever caught you melting down?"
"Every time you catch me talking to him." Jeffrey says, lightly caressing her cheek. 'That's me freaking out a little bit." He says, releasing her. "So, go change and we'll go find a dress for tomorrow night."
She watches him for a moment before she steps closer to him. Reaching up, she lightly caresses his cheek and then she kisses him. It takes a moment before he slips his arms around her, pulling her to him. Finally after several moments, he pulls away, taking a deep breath. "I wasn't trying for that."
She smiles before she takes his hand and leads him out of their closet. "We're going to do this but first I want to apologize."
"For what?"
"For the little dog with his tail between it's legs crack, that was unfair, un-cool and totally uncalled for."
"You're entitled to be unfair and un-cool sometimes." He says, with a smile. "You're too sexy not to forgive." She busts out laughing.
"Is he still..."
"No, he's calming down. So are we going to talk about him or finish what we started. You know how much I hate leaving lose ends."
He looks at her and then moves in. All the heat and desire from before is channeled into this. Reaching up, he pulls his tie loose before he pulls his shirt over his head. She follows him, kissing him before she pulls her scrub top off and tosses it to the floor. Reaching for his waist, she reaches for his belt buckle. Working it free, she moans softly while he teases the side of her neck."Let me love you." He whispers, moving up to play with her ear.
"Oh god, you know I can't resist... Now, I want you now, please!"
They're both swept away. While she handles his pants, he kisses her, nibbling at her lips, teasing her. Reaching for her bra, he unsnaps it as she pulls his belt free. Unbuttoning them, she reaches for his zipper. Her hand brushes against him. Pulling back, he sucks in a deep breath. Reaching up , he caresses her cheek for a moment before he leans in, kissing her.
She pushes his pants over his hips as he tries to slip out of his shoes. Losing his balance, he falls back wards and lands with a hard thump. "J, are you okay?" She asks, trying to catch her breath and not laugh at the same time.
"I'm fine." He says, looking up with a smile.
Even that brief break doesn't quell the desire burning inside both of them. Reaching for her bra, she shrugs out of it. Dropping it, she moves on, Reaching for her pants, she pauses for a moment watching as he lifts his hips and pulls his boxers off. She sucks in another deep breath as she feels a soft moan bubbling free. Pushing her pants and panties down, she kicks them over before she sinks to her knees. Sitting up, he reaches for her, kissing her as she moves over him. He wraps his arms around her, laying back and pulling her closer. Close enough for her to feel the heat rushing through him. They both break the kiss.
She leans back, watching him before she moves up. Kneeling between his legs, she reaches for him, gently caressing his desire and feeling the answering pulse of need running through him. Moving over him, she straddles him and then guides him inside until they a fully connected. "Beca!" He groans, laying his hands on he hips as she moves against him, sitting a steady pace.
Lifting his legs, he thrusts deeply. Adding his desire to the already swirling flames licking at their souls. He feels the first clinch of her muscles and his grip tightens on her hips, holding on as the first surging waves roll over her, taking him deeper. He moves with her, letting her ride the raging swells before she lifts her eyes to his. Smiling, she lays across his chest, catching his mouth with hers.
Wrapping his arm around her, he rolls her over to her back and kneeling between her legs, he thrusts deep over and over again while she moves with him. Taking the climb with him, until his release bursts free, flooding her body with incredible ecstasy. She follows him. Holding her arms open as he collapses against her.
They lay there for several moments, catching their breath and savoring cleansing power of spent
passion. Kissing the side of her neck, he whispers. "I love you Mrs. O'Neill."
"I love you too, Mr. O'Neill." They lay there for another couple minutes before she says. "I think this is the first time we've made love in the middle of the bedroom floor."
He pulls away from her and looks down. "It didn't hurt you, did it?" He asks, gently caressing her face.
"No, I'm fine." She says, looking up into his eyes. "But I do owe you an apology. I sort of bit your head off when you came in here."
"You don't..."
"Yes, I do. I was freaked about the dresses, but that's no excuse for jumping all over you when you were probably worried because I didn't answer when you got home. I'm sorry."
"You don't owe me..."
"Yes I do, so shut up and take it. I'm sorry." She says, leaning up to kiss him.
"Alright, I accept your apology if you do something for me."
"What?"
"Let me take you to get a dress."
"You hate shopping J, so I can go..."
"Now." He says, pulling away from her. Getting up, he holds his hand out for her to take.
She looks at him and then at his hand. "I'll just pick..."
She takes his hand and he helps her up. "Let me take a shower and then we can go get a dress." He says, kissing her softly before he goes into the bathroom.
