Victorie stood there in front of the fireplace of the Ravelcaw common room. Her blue eyes stared the embers in the fireplace. Today had been in the longest day of the year. It had started off as a good day but eventually it had just taken a turn. Her jaw locked into place as she let out a sigh as she watched the smoke from the fire.
Finally, she found a seat on the couch. Most of the other students were asleep in the dorm. Her gaze stayed on the fire, fearing if she took them off, she would break down right there.
The fire was soothing to her.
