Victorie blinked, tilting her head to the side at those words. "No one at all?"
Roxanne shook her head. "No one."
"But, are you sure you don't want me to tell anyone?"
"No! Vic! If you tell your mom, she'll tell your dad and your dad will tell my dad! Please don't!"
Victorie sighed before offering Roxanne a small smile, putting an arm around her cousins' shoulder. "Alright, I won't tell them. I promise."
She could feel Roxanne's shoulders were still tensed but after a moment they seemed to release the tension. "So, it's just between us?"
Victorie smiled as she nodded her head. "Yes, your secret is safe with me. I promise."
