Hey everyone! I'm back with another chapter. I'm having a lot of fun writing these and have a ton of ideas. If anyone has any ideas they might like to see and/or pairings (Zeke/Morag, Zeke/Pandy, Morag/Brighid etc.) just let me know and I'll consider it. So, thanks again for reading and feel free to leave any comments. Also, side note thanks to Keybladeknight39, a Xanadu is basically a idealized world with extravagance and beauty being at its core. It's a sort of utopia and I thought what if there was a Xanadu in the utopia that Elysium is? That's how this idea came to mind! Thanks again guys! Love ya!

"WHAAAAAAA!?" Rex yelled as he looked around him the world began to transform. Water formed the floor and the buildings, trees, and even the sky went away. All around Rex was water, a blue sky with no sun, and a giant temple right in front of him. What was happening? How was it so bright without the sun?
"This is like Elysium...but a lot more watery," Rex said to himself. How was this possible? It wasn't like with Pyra. This place felt more empty and eery. Rex didn't know what to do so he proceeded with caution. He walked up the temple's steps and past the pillars holding it up. This was insane. He thought he had heard Claus say something, but now he wasn't sure. It sounded like his voice, but why would he put him here? Could there be a different force at will? Rex continued on his way into the temple. Gold, silver, and all kinds of metals were found all around him. Different treasures, armor, weapons, and many things Rex didn't even know what they could've been. Pictures of islands and space were painted on the walls of the temple. Rex continued looking at everything in the weird space as he continued walking through. Soon, he reached a large white and gold door chained up.
"What is this? Why is it locked up?" Rex asked himself.
'Help me...please!' A voice called out ot Rex.
"Wha…" Rex mumbled as he heard the voice come from behind the door. "Hold on! I'm coming to save you!" Rex drew Pyra's blade and tried slashing through the chains. However, without Pyra's connection the blade wouldn't light up. Right now it was just a piece of metal. Suddenly, a light shot out and knocked Rex back.
"Must be some sort of lock on it besides the chains…" Rex guessed. He looked around to try and find anything he could use to break the chains and spell. He saw a giant broadsword bigger than Zeke's sitting against the wall.

"Alright, come on Rex! You can do this!" Rex screamed as he picked up the sword. His body burned from the weight and length of the sword as it hit the ground behind him. He dragged it over to the door and braced himself for impact. He hit started to swing his body in a circular motion in order to gain momentum for the giant sword. He let out a yell as the sword impacted the door and it's chains. An explosion came out this time as the sword shattered and Rex went flying back.
"Oww...man without Nia this sucks," Rex sighed as he got back up from the ground. He sat up and looked at the door. Nothing. Not even a scratch. Rex was losing hope. He got up and tried every weapon in the room. A mace. A spear. A lance. Even ramming a shield into the door. Nothing worked.
"Alright fine then!" He punched the door and turned his back to it yelling. He slid down the door and sat on the ground.
"If only Gramps or Dromarch were here. They would know what to do. Oh man I bet Pyra is worried sick right now…" Rex thought of Pyra and felt warm read the note again she left him. He was determined to save whoever was in there.
"Alright, c'mon Rex get serious!" Rex picked up Pyra's blade and he thought of her as hard as he could. The flames ignited and he began to charge up all the ether inside of him. He willed it and the sword ignited even brighter.
"This may not be as powerful as it is with Pyra, but here we go! BURNING…." Rex charged at the door. "SWORD!" Light encompassed Rex as he collided with the door and he yelled as a sign of determination. "Hyaaaaaaaa!" With his last yell light took over the entire temple.

"What's up? Why do you look so flustered?" Mythra asked looking at Pyra walking in with her face beet red. As soon as she had turned the corner she lost her cool. She had acted calm and collected, but in reality she was nervous and embarrassed. There was definitely a reason why she and Rex never crossed the line until now.
"Hey guys, anyone seen our driver?" Nia said laying on the bed on the left side of the room kicking her legs up in the air. Last time she had saw him he had left to go on a walk. Nia assumed he was just going to clear his thoughts and get his grounds since the attack.
"No clue he just up and left. He better not be mad just because we were having some fun." Mythra replied to the Gormotti girl obviously worried.
"Don't worry he's fine girls. He's just with his parents. He's not mad either, but you should still apologize to him." Pyra said acting like an older sister.
"Hey, did you guys ever figure out anything about the attacker?" Nia suddenly spoke up as she remembered it. He was out for a good while because of it. Nia looked at both the girls quizzically. "Wh-What are you two looking at me like that for?"
"Rex was attacked!?" The two Aegises' said in unison. They both looked worried, mad, and terrified all at the same time. It was quite a terrifying sight. Nia got a shiver down her spine when they yelled.
"O-oh yeah, uh, he didn't tell you?" Nia was about to state the next part when Mythra was the first one to get in her face.
"What did he look like? What weapon was he using? Where was he from?" Mythra couldn't hide her worry this time. The blonde tsundere wanted to find whoever attacked him and take him out for good. She wouldn't lose anyone again, especially not Rex. She had realized her feelings, but was trying to hide them so Rex wouldn't find out. However, she obviously wasn't the best at it.
"Actually...that's what I wanted to talk to you about. Specifically, you Mythra." Nia said sounding a little annoyed. She didn't want to be the one to bring this up, but Rex hadn't spoke of it and they needed to know.
"The man was cloaked, but there was one recognizable feature about him. His sword."
"What did it look like? Did it have any symbols or a specific shape?" Pyra interjected before Mythra had a stroke.
"It was Mythra's blade exactly. There was no question about it too. Rex noticed it as well and hesitated," Nia continued, "That's when I stepped in and started to heal Rex. However, once the man realized I was there he left. He definitely held some grudge against Rex. Something more than just anger or jealousy."
"What? That's not possible the last time I used my blade was when me and Brighid fought and then I put it away!" Mythra was getting frustrated at the circumstances. She didn't want Rex to think she was against him. She guessed it would seem silly to him, but they had already lied to Rex twice and both resulted in him suffering a deep blow to the heart.
"Wait a minute...where did this happen Nia?" Pyra asked worriedly.
"Right at his parents graves on the cliff beside it. It overlooked the sea. Rex held his own quite we-" Nia was cut off by Pyra sprinting out of the room. The two girls quickly followed and Nia switched forms as she saw Pyra summon her sword. Mythra summoned her sword last seriously worried now that Pyra was anxious. The three girls ran down the stairs walked in on Zeke picking up Pandoria while she blushed harshly while Dromarch and Azurda watched. Morag and Brighid were up in their room doing who knows what and Corinne was cleaning up dinner. Behind the couch was Poppi and Tora seemingly cuddling from the looks of it. If a metal bot and a Nopon could cuddle that is.
"Corinne has Rex come back yet?!" Pyra said with a wavering voice.
"Why no dear, he was still out with his parents I thought. Oh my why do you girls have your weapons out? Not going for another fight again are you?" Corinne laughed. "I'm sure you're worried about Rex, but I'm sure he's fine. Even if he got into trouble he could get himself out of it."
"Actually, m'lady I don't sense his ether anywhere near here. I worry he has gotten into a bind."
Dromarch said.
"I swear that boy," Azurda sighed. "Well, where was he last?"
"With his parents we'll go check it out now!" Nia said already out the door. The girls hurried out of the house. They reached the stairs and ran up them hoping to find Rex. Pyra noticed the sword she left was gone, but then realized she had summoned another one so the one she gave Rex would have disappeared. Then she noticed the note she left disappeared. That meant Rex had been there. He was at the top of the stairs still sitting by his parents graves. She knew he was. How couldn't he be? Why wouldn't he be?
'Rex please be here!' Mythra thought to herself as she followed her sister up the stairs. She felt he was there. She wanted him to be there. When she saw him she'd give him the biggest hug she's always wanted to give him. However, she dismissed the thought and settled for punching him instead.
"Rex!" Nia yelled as he passed the final step and saw a figure. She almost laughed knowing he was safe and they were all worried for nothing. "Rex you idiot! You scared u-" Nia stopped herself as her eyes adjusted to the light.
"No..Rex!" Pyra yelled out into the dark blue sky as it had only been a tree. Rex was gone. It was their fault. They didn't protect him. They let the man they all fell in love with die.
