Hey everyone! So, here's chapter 7! Hopefully this got out a little quicker than the last one, but who knows I write these before I write the chapter! So, I hope you enjoy this chapter and let me know what you think. Sidenote: A guest brought up a good point. Lapis seems to be the monado in tattoo form right now, but I honestly wasn't aiming for that I just didn't think about it at the time. Right now I know it seems like that, but hopefully throughout the story I'll be able to get across my vision of her. Also, as for new characters this chapter about wraps it up. Isaac was really only a small plot device and the only main original characters are the ones introduced in this chapter and Lapis. Thanks guys love ya!

'What the hell is happening' The girl in front of Rex was locking lips with him in front of Pyra and Mythra and it looked exactly like Mythra, just more shadowy. The girl dropped Rex on the ground as he sat there dumbfounded. His eyes went back to being brown as the blue faded away.
"Wha...Myth...ra?" Rex said as he looked at the girl in front of him.
"Oh, sweetie trust me," The lookalike scoffed. "I'm ten times more stronger than her."
"Get away from him!" Mythra said as she charged hre doppelganger. Light and darkness collided as the forest around them began to shake from the force. Rex got sent flying, but caught himself as he fell back on a tree.
"Ohhhh Rexy~" A voice called out. It sent chills down Rex's spine. The air around him grew cold and dry as he felt a presence behind him. Lapis called out to him to look behind him. As he did he saw a blue figure walking up seductively to him.
"Hey there Rexy...we haven't met, but I think we can get to know each other reallllly fast~" The blue figure stood over Rex and put a ice knife right up to Rex's cheek as she cut him. This pressure was insane. He could feel the intensity and power of both the enemies. What was more was she looked almost identical to Pyra, but blue. Rex guessed she was an ice blade. As the enemy finished her cut fire surged between the hero and villain.
"Rex! Are you okay!?" Pyra said as she jumped and her sword collided with the blue girl's. "Get away from him Blanche!" Fire and ice hit the trees around them as the forest was set ablaze, yet frozen at the same time. Rex needed to diffuse this situation. The power exhibited by both blades was insane, but there was no way for him to know for sure how to stop both parties. His blades were going out of whack and the Mythra lookalike and the girl Pyra called Blanche had his blades on the ropes. He had to decide which one to choose. Save Pyra or Mythra? He had to choose one or the other. He didn't know who to choose. He couldn't choose.
"Rex!" A voice called out from behind him. It was Nia! Rex had never been happier to see her. Nia was already in her blade form and charged into battle.
"Nia help Pyra and I'll take Mythra!" Rex shouted and Nia did as he asked. Nia charged in and stopped Blanche from hitting Pyra back. Blanche grunted as the grass around her got more frozen and the air became denser. It was getting harder to breathe from Pyra's flames and Blanche's ice. Rex on the other hand worked in tangent with Mythra. While Rex often received the blunt end of Mythra's insults he worked very well with Mythra and their bond was stronger than any other, besides Pyra of course. Mythra noticed Rex on his way and hit the dark blade with another attack. The enemy attacked and Mythra stumbled back and the dark blade grinned. Mythra shot back a grin and the dark blade frowned. Rex came out of Mythra's light behind her and slashed at her.
"Noir!" Blanche yelled from the side as Rex collided with her and then fell back as Mythra switched with him. The pair switched off from attacking as now they had the upper hand. Blanche hit the ground with her sword and ice pushed Nia and Pyra back as she threw ice at Rex and Mythra. Rex flung his sword at ice as the sword shattered the ice in one blow.
"Lapis!" Rex yelled as time slowed all around him.
"Master! Take the sword fro-" Lapis was cut off as Rex was sent backwards from a force.
"There's more to you then I thought darling…" A voice called as the shadow blade walked towards Rex. Mythra, Pyra, and Blanche were all frozen, yet the dark blade walked towards Rex.
"So, you're the one who took the core of Elysium?" The blade said.
"I don't know you tell me," Rex raised his fists towards the girl, but soon let them fall to his sides. "Argh...I can't hit a girl," Rex said with a sigh.
"You'd consider me a girl? Ha! The names Noir and let me tell you this Rex, Pyra and Mythra aren't what they seem. If you stay with them any longer you will die. However, the core has taken a liking to you I see, so I'll give you an option. Join us and help us destroy Elysium!" Noir said as she stuck her sword into the ground.
"Wait...are you with the Remnants of Elyisum?" Rex said having a realization. It would explain why Rex had seen the Mythra lookalike. He was ready to finally get some answers.
"Hmph, we are, but we aren't. We can only use the people in the Remnants of Addam for a little while as their ether flow is so weak. They die so quickly. But you...you are what we need. See just like regular blades we are more powerful when we have a driver, but there's nobody strong enough to handle us. So, we're going to use you to get our goal and when we do we'll rule Elysium after we destroy it."
"Wait WHAT!? You want to destroy Elysium? That's exactly what the the Remnants want!" Rex said agitated.
"Exactly, we're partners for the time being. However, the only one strong enough to wield us is their leader." Noir paused. "Speak of the devil!"
Suddenly Rex felt a giant blast hit him as it sent him backwards. "What!?" Rex yelled as the pressure that weighed down on him got stronger and stronger.
"So you're the hero, hm?" A deep hoarse voice called out from the shadows. "Let's make this quick. You have something we need. Therefore you're going to give it to us or we'll take it by force."
"Ha, there's no chance I'm giving Lapis to you!" Rex said determined yet nervous. Now there was two people who weren't affected by Lapis time freeze. He knew it was something about reflexes and whatnot, but it was easier to call it a time freeze. He looked to Pyra and Mythra. He wish they had told him. He wished he was prepared for this. The man walked closer to Rex.
"That so? Well, then you shall repent under the gracious eyes of Addam!" The giant man walked closer to Rex as he held his hands out. "Hero, I'll give you one last chance. Repent and join us and we will leave you and take the core. Nobody will be harmed. However, should you decide against us...well, Noir?" Noir handed her blade to the leader as he let his jacket fall off of him. He was more built than Zeke and was taller to boot. Rex wouldn't be able to beat him in close combat especially not with his normal blade. He would need the help of Pneuma at this point. However, that was impossible now. Suddenly, the leader charged Rex before Rex could react and grabs him by his neck. This released Rex's hold on time and Lapis flinches as time regains its tempo. Pyra and Mythra attack Noir and Blanche as the leader throws Rex up against the tree. Rex groans in pain as he stands up, but is caught by a punch to the gut. How were they supposed to beat them. Blanche and Noir choreographed their moves to the exact opposite of each other. One team tried every plan they had, but was stopped by the complete war the other pair was raging. Pyra and Mythra were no match for Noir and Blanche. The leader walked away from Rex monologuing.
"Hmph, so this is the power of the hero. You have grown weak. Lack of training and discipline I presume. Azurda must be getting less harsh in his old age." The man said.
"You *cough cough* know gramps?" Rex tried to say as he was getting his breath back.
"Of course, he was one of the most prominent Titans in Leftheria. You're unfit for someone of hi-" The man was cut off as Rex landed a punch directly to his face. He had Lapis increase his strength and speed as he leaped off the tree in order to pull off the stunt. However, the man had taken the hit with no problem. He stood still and raised a hand to his cheek.
"Yes...yes...this is what it should be like! Now come on and show me what you can do hero!" The man said charging Rex.
"Hiyahhhh!" Nia said as she hit the man with a full power hit from her blade. He blocked it with the gauntlets he was wearing, but stumbled backwards.
"Rex!" Nia yelled out to the boy.
"Right!" Rex said as he ran towards Nia and the man.
"Take this!" Rex yelled as he. He let off a flash of light with the scimitar and blinded the man. "Lapis can you create a distraction?!" Rex asked his partner as he was counting the seconds till the flash wore out.
"I can! Stab your sword into the ground! I'll amplify the impact and create replicas of your sword with my power!" Lapis yelled as Rex jumped up and stab his sword into the ground.
"Pyra, Nia, Mythra! Get out of the way!" He did so as Nia climbed a tree and Pyra and Mythra made their counterparts stumble. They both jumped back as soon as Rex grinned.
"Let's do this! Hyahhhhh!" Rex jammed his sword into the ground as energy swirled around him. His eyes glowed blue now and he felt immense power flowing through him. Suddenly, he felt all the energy shift to his sword as he let it all out. The ground quaked beneath them.
"Yes that's it Rex! Get stronger! You will be our instrument of destruction!" The man yelled as he stood there not moving. Noir and Blanche finally regained their balance as Noir phased out into darkness and Noir encased herself in ice. When it broke she had disappeared. The man grinned like a wild man as sword shot up from the ground in a giant radius from Rex. Rex completely decimated the ground and forest as swords pierced the soil and trees completely destroying the area around.
When the dust and swords settled the man was left standing with swords piercing his entire body. The man walked towards Rex. His eyes glowed a dark red.
"There's no way for you to win. You. Will. Repent." He said as he smiled and slowly phased into the darkness.
Rex stared into the sky as he felt the pressure in the air become heavier. What just happened? They had all disappeared now. It was just Rex, Mythra, Nia, and Pyra left. Rex didn't know for sure, but he came to a realization as a note was left in front of him. Rex picked it up and read it:
'I'm sure you want to protect the ones you care about. Come to the heart of Elysium with the core, Hero. Should you arrive you will have two choices. Hand over the core and walk away or we shall begin the final battle between our truth and your false life. You have a month.'
This was a lot to take in, but Rex knew what he had to do. He couldn't risk the girls he loved, his friends, or his family in Fonsett. He knew what he had to do.
The three girls ran up to Rex to check on him.
"Rex!" All three girls echoed at once. Pyra and Nia tended to him while Mythra was still being standoffish.
"Geez, it took you that long to figure out what I wanted to do? Thanks for being late, pervert." Mythra said crossing her arms. Rex didn't reply. He didn't say anything at all. What could he say.
'Master, what are we going to do?' Lapis asked Rex inside his mind as the girls around him were talking to him. He tuned them out and focused on Lapis and his decision.
'Listen, just give me to the enemy. I won't let Elysium be destroyed nor will let them have their way with me. I don't want you to be in danger Master.' Lapis continued.
This tugged on Rex's heartstrings. He couldn't just leave a girl like this behind. He loved Pyra and Mythra more than anything so he wouldn't put them in harm's way.
"Rex?" Pyra asked.
"I'm leaving." Rex said aloud. "I have to leave."
"What?" Pyra said in surprise. "What do you mean?"
Rex realized what he had said. "Oh, uh, nothing! Well, er, no I mean...let's go back to the village and I'll tell you from there."

Back at the village Lapis and Rex explained everything that had happened between, the Remnants of Addam, and why Rex had said he had to leave.
"Wow, Rex this is a lot to take in. I don't know what to say…" Nia said as she looked down at the floor. First Torna and now this? They wouldn't be able to get any peace at this rate.
"Rex, just let her go." Mythra said with a blank face. "She's not worth the trouble. We learned about her when Pyra and I became Pneuma. She's nothing, but trouble."
"Mythra…" Pyra said as she hated the thought, but agreed with her. She didn't want Rex to get hurt in any way possible. She also didn't like the idea of Rex with another girl.
Rex was silent. He didn't say anything at all. Just looked at Lapis sitting next to him. The white haired girls blue eyes pierced his heart.
"What if I had done that to you?" Rex asked looking up. Nobody said anything. Rex had helped Nia, Pyra, and Mythra all in one go. He saved them all.
"If I had let you go...you would've died. Right now I want to save this girl no matter what she is. I understand what they mean by "what I stole," but I won't let them take her either. I'm going to stop the destruction of Elysium." Rex stood up with a determined look in his eyes. What he was about to say was going to hurt him and the girls. "I won't let anyone die nor will I lie to them ever again. I'm going with...or without you guys." Rex said. They knew what he was talking about. Mythra and Pyra flinched at his sentence. It was quite clear Rex was referring to them. Rex walked out of the room as all three girls looked at each other.
"Well...that could've gone better," Nia said as she sat back in her seat.
"Well, I don't blame him…" Pyra said.
"Argh! He's such an idiot! He's just going to get himself into more trouble! How did he not learn from us!?" Mythra said stomping the ground.
Corinne walked in the room and set some cups of tea down on the table in the living room.
"Girls, Rex is a free spirit. He always tries to do these types of things on his own. He's always had that drive to save people. Remember that story Azurda told you about when Rex first tried to fight a monster and wet himself?" Corinne asked as the three girls chuckled.
"He did it to save two young ones. They had strayed too far and Rex charged in without a second thought. That child just keeps giving me heart attacks!" Corinne laughed as she reminisced.
"You all love him, right? So show him that you do. Show him he has something to fall back on. He needs all three of you. Whatever decision you three come up with he'll respect. I already sent word to Morag, Zeke, and Tora about everything that has happened." Corinne said as she stood up. "Whatever you three decide Rex will go. I don't know who that girl is, but Rex could never let anyone go if they were in need. Anyway, good luck girls and do take care of Rex!" Corinne said as she walked out of the room.

Rex was laying back on his bed thinking about what he had just said. He sat up and sighed.
"I'm an idiot!" Rex said as he threw a pillow at the wall. "I didn't mean to say all of that, but it just came out."
The insignia on his arm stayed quiet. When Rex had gotten up to his room Lapis had fallen asleep immediately. Rex was getting used to having the girl live...wherever she was inside of him. He didn't really mind and her prowess in battle helped a lot.
"Rex, may I come in?" Rex heard a old voice call out from behind the door.
"Gramps? Sure! Hold on!" Rex ran to the door and opened it. The small titan flew in.
"Say gramps...I never asked how were you able to switch back to your small form?" Rex asked looking at the titan.
"Well, it seems Claus gave me the ability to switch between the forms now. However, it does take quite a toll on my old bones whenever I do it, so I won't be doing anything hastily." Azurda chuckled.
"Listen Rex, there's something I need to tell you." Azurda sat on the boys bed as his voice became soft yet serious.
"The child who was attacked…" Gramps said.
"Yeah what about em?" Rex said looking puzzled.
"He didn't make it through Nia's healing. By the time she got there...he was already too far gone…" Gramps said. "I thought you should know. Don't blame yourself child, you stopped that man from doing anything else to everybody in the village. They are all grateful for that. It was not your fault." Gramps explained with an empathetic voice.
"Right...thanks Gramps, for telling me I mean. I'll go visit the family tomorrow and let them be for tonight…" Rex said with a saddened look in his eyes. Azurda ignored it as calling it out would only aggravate the boy. Gramps took his leave as another figure appeared in the door. Rex immediately thought it was Pyra judging by the figure, but as Azurda passed Rex didn't even glance towards the door. He was looking straight at the floor with shadow over his eyes.
"Uh, Rex, hey there? I mean, crap, wait let me redo that! Er, hi Rex." It was Mythra and her usual awkward way of speaking.
"Listen I heard what happened and I-" Mythra stopped speaking as she watched a tear stream down Rex's eye. "Wha?!" The sight startled Mythra, but she couldn't blame him. It must've been a horrible experience for Rex. She knew the feeling all too well.
"Everyone…" Rex started with a weary voice. "Everyone I've ever tried to save has died…Vandham, Fan, all of Torna, Claus, and even you and Pyra. Every single one of them has died and I...I can't bear it anymore." Rex said clutching his hands together harshly.
Mythra sat down next to Rex as she put a hand over his. He lessened his hold on his hands as he relaxed into the ambience. Mythra had closed the door behind her so the room was dimly lit only illuminated by the lamp in his room.
"Rex...I don't know what to say…" Mythra said as she began to think about all he has done for her and Pyra. Even though she treats him harshly. Even though she constantly insults him and makes fun him. Even after she lied to him twice. He had always loved her. She could feel his love for her in every action he did. His smile. His voice. His laugh. Now she believed it was her time to help him.
Mythra grabbed Rex and pulled him into a awkward hug. This surprised Rex, but he was able to relax into it fast enough.
"It wasn't your fault Rex…" Mythra said as she stroked the back of his head.
The pair stayed like that for awhile as the sun began to set. Rex eventually became even heavier in the blades arms as she held onto him. The tears and shaking had stopped and now Rex was breathing peacefully. Mythra blushed and tried to move away, but Rex's grip around her was too snug.
"Oh no…" Mythra whispered at first, but then saw her chance to repay him for the night she ended up in his room. Even though she acted like it was horrible, that was one of the only nights where she slept soundfully. Next to the man she loved. Her partner and driver. Finally, she understood Rex's intentions with Lapis. Lapis was in the same vulnerable position. How could Mythra deny that? Mythra began to lie back on the bed with Rex in tow. As the lamp slowly burned out the room went dark, the sun had set, and finally the village was peaceful. Mythra shifted so she could pull Rex in close as she blushed harshly. She looked at his sleeping face and giggled to herself. She did think he was pretty cute like this. The blade found herself at peace with her driver as she felt every pressure in the world lift off of her.
"You've been fighting for a long time, huh?" Mythra said as she kissed Rex on his cheek as she herself drifted off to sleep.
The pair slept soundfully unaware to what their paths made lead. Mythra had no idea what they would have to face. What Rex himself would have to face. Whatever the obstacle she didn't matter he was her world.
