ALRIGHT. First off I'm deeply sorry about the late update. I've been trash at actually sticking to my schedule, but I had multiple papers due along with finals right around the corner. So YES. I plan on finishing this story don't worry. Here's chapter 8! So, hopefully this fanfic is going in the right direction. Here's what I got for now. I'm not gonna make any promises for the next chapter, but it definitely won't be more than two weeks/1.5 weeks. So, enjoy guys! Love ya!

"Mmmpph….mm….uhhh….what's this?" Rex asked as he grabbed something soft yet oddly firm. Rex finally opened his eyes and a flash of yellow and white blinded him. His eyes adjusted to the light. Then they were blinded by another light...a light blade. Rex's eyes flushed as he grabbed again. He gulped and looked where his hand was. Mythra's arms were locked around Rex's body and their legs were intertwined together. She had changed into her small white nightgown and was drooling.
'Gotta admit...now that I look at her more, she looks pretty cute' Rex said as he followed his hand from his arm. He looked down...he grabbed again and felt the round object again.
'What is this?! I swear if this is Gramps!' Rex tried grabbed it and lifted it up. Since his arms were locked in Mythra's he could move them. His right arm was asleep. This was definitely something Rex wasn't expecting. Then he remembered last night when Mythra comforted him. He remembered her warm embrace and then fell asleep in her arms. When Rex let go of what he was grabbing Mythra let out a small moan. Rex's face went bright red.
'Wait a minute...soft and firm...can't lift it up...OH MY GOD!' Rex screamed in his had just grabbed Mythra's butt multiple times. His face was on fire. He had tried this with Pyra, but with Mythra?! She would kill him! He recollected his cool.
"Uh...Rex?" A voice called out from right next to him. "Having fun there?"
Rex felt his soul escape. He looked down as Mythra had a flushed face. She was going to kill him. He was dead. In his mind he was freaking out, but in reality he wasn't able to say anything he was so speechless. His mind went down.
"MYTHRA! Uh listen! I swear I didn't mean to do tha-" Rex was yelling with a flushed face as he felt his body being pushed onto his bed.
With a light blush Mythra looked into his eyes, "T-this isn't bad...if it's with you...I mean…I'm not very good at this kind of stuff…" Mythra wasn't able to look Rex in his eyes.
Rex gave a small chuckle as the girl became a little frantic in her attempt. Rex still had his signature blush, but he smiled at the girl on top of him.
"You don't have to push yourself, y'know?" Rex said giving a cheeky grin at the girl.
"Thanks...I guess Rex" Mythra gave a warm smile back to her partner. She shifted on him and suddenly she felt something underneath her. Her face immediately returned to its flush. "R-r-r-rex?! Is that what I think it is?!" Mythra said as she started to become overwhelmed by her embarrassment.
"IT'S NOT MY FAULT!" Rex said as he became equally as embarrassed. With both the boy and girl embarrassed the two looked at each other once again. Rex gulped as he knew he was about to die. Instead she said something unexpected.
"I….I don't mind if it's...with...yo-u…" Mythra said as she lowered herself again.
Something came over Rex. He couldn't back down now could he?! He was a man! If he denied this girl he would be betraying his father! Rex readied his mind. He thought about it for a second. He definitely loved her just like Pyra. Pyra had also said before she didn't mind if Mythra, Rex, and her were in a love triangle as Pyra loved both of them in different ways. The Aegises did understand that Rex fell in love with both girls because of their situation.
Rex and Mythra both leaned closer to each other as Rex sat up. Mythra's eyes looking away as her blush became brighter. They both closed their eyes as their lips locked together and he placed his hands around her waist as she wrapped her arms around his neck.
"Rex! Mythra! It's time for breakfast then we gotta go!" Pyra called out from outside the room.
This startled them both as they fell off the bed. He closed his eyes as his partner was still atop of him laying her head on his chest. His heart was beating like crazy.
"Everytime!" Mythra said as she punched the floor. Rex looked at the girl and they both laughed.
Mythra sighed, "We'll have to continue this another time, Rex." Mythra said as she got up and then helped Rex up. "How are you feeling about everything by the way?" Mythra asked.
"I've come to terms with it. Whatever happens from here on out I'll take responsibility for, but I won't bear it by myself. I have you by my side, right?" Rex shot a grin at her as he posed with his hands on his hips.
"Salvager code number 19! If y-" Rex was hit by a pillow to the face before he could even finish his sentence.
"Save it, dork." Mythra smiled and the pair laughed together once again. Mythra had missed this feeling. This feeling of love and care. The last time she had this was...with Addam. It made her heart hurt. She didn't want Rex to find out because it would make things weird between them. It'd hurt him just as much as it would her. The whole reason she accepted him was because he was like Addam. Just a little more personable though. Mythra used her power to change back into her regular clothes as she summoned her blade. She shook the thought of Addam out of her head.
"Here, I was meaning to give this to you." Mythra said handing the light blade to Rex.
"Right thanks!" Rex said taking the blade and strapping it on his back.
Mythra walked out and waved to Rex. She went out the room and downstairs and was met with two girls awaiting her arrival. A mix of jealousy and anticipation filled the atmosphere in the room. Mythra grinned as she would definitely have a story to tell now.

Rex got up off the ground and flopped on his bed.
"You know Master...It isn't too uncommon to be in a polyamorous relationship with multiple blades. The kings used to do that with their blades." Lapis said as Rex sighed into his pillow. Rex didn't respond for a second all he did was stare into the nothingness.
"Lapis...tell me. Why did you choose me?" Rex asked with a muffled voice still in his pillow.
"You're the hero aren't you? There were many times were anyone would have given up. However, you brought a group of unlikely people together and even saved the world on your own. You may have had help, but without you...the world would have been destroyed." Lapis said as she floated above Rex.
"Heh, well thanks Lapis. I couldn't have done it alone. Plus you were watching with support, right?" Rex flashed a smile as he patted Lapis head. A light blush came over her as she enjoyed the reward.
"Alright! Ready to go?" Rex said as he hopped up and gained his drive back. Lapis nodded and the pair walked down stairs towards the living room. Lapis phased back into Rex's insignia and went quiet as Rex looked around his house.
"Huh? Where is everyone?" Rex checked each room until sighing and deciding on going outside to wait. Rex continued out the door and was greeted with a giant group of people cheering. Kids, adults, blades, and his friends all yelled good luck as he walked out. Rex smiled as he looked onward.
"Rex! Rex! Rex! Rex!" The crowd cheered as Isaac came out of the crowd with Agate and placed a hand on Rex's shoulder.
"Rex, you've made this entire village proud to call you our family! That kid you saved...his family set this up." Isaac explained as Agate came from behind to hold his hand.
Rex continued through the crowd as they cheered, high fived, and hugged him as he passed. Fonsett didn't have many people, but they were all gathered here for one reason: Rex.
"Everyone...thank you! I promise I'll stop whoever attacked our village and stop them from harming anyone else! For the sake of our future I'll make sure to protect you all!" Rex yelled as he raised a fist up for his people.
"Yeah!" The crowd cheered as Rex walked past the gate with the sounds of the crowd trailing behind people had handed him bags with food and equipment in them for the long journey.
"Ready to go Rex?" A voice called out from in front of him.
"Of course!" Rex replied as he looked at Nia, Pyra, and Mythra ahead of him. They all looked happy and content with what was happening, which gave Rex relief as he thought they'd be against it.
"It's been a month since we arrived on Elysium so most of the towns should be extended into Elysium. Torigoth probably isn't so we'll start by going to the Praetorium to check how reconstruction is going there and then we'll head to the Mor Ardain to meet up with Morag and go from there." Nia said as she explained the situation.
"Wait...where are we even headed?" Mythra asked with a piercing stare towards Rex.
"Uh...I didn't think about that." Rex said with a hand behind his head embarrassed. He thought about it as each girl groaned in unison at the stupidity of their driver. Dromarch laid down on the ground as NIa leaned back on him.
"Wait a minute...Lapis, the note asked for me to go the middle of Elysium so I can return you right?" Rex asked as Lapis answered from his hand.
"Yes, master. Since I am the core of Elysium, to be returned I would have to be delivered to the center of Elysium." The blue circle replied as the girls around Rex all looked confused as to how it did.
"That temple...is that what the middle of Elysium looks like?" Rex asked.
"Yes master."
"Alright, so once we get the gang back together, we'll head towards the middle of Elysium right? We shouldn't have to go too far in order to get to each Titan either so it'll be a quick trip if we move now!" Rex said as he pointed towards the Titans that were subjugated to Elysum. When Claus had made Elysium he had created paths linking the spots where each Titan would dock. Therefore there were already "highways" that lead to each Titan.
"Lapis, can you summon a map or something, yeah?" Rex asked.
Suddenly a blue light flashed from Rex's right hand. A projection shone in blue light as all four of the team looked over it. Elysium was mapped out right in front of Rex. Every path, nook, and cranny was right in front of them.
"Alright! Nice job Lapis!" Rex yelled with relief.
The three girls in front of him got slightly jealous, but let it slide because it was harmless...for now.
"Alright everyone, shall we go?" Rex said as he held his hand out towards the journey they would finally set out on.

The trio continued on their journey as they finally reached the newly built docks on Elysium. The ships still worked on the actual water and were more proficient in it as well.
"You know, this will be the first time we'll sail not on the cloud sea." Rex said as he looked at the land they had just left. They were now floating on the water below them as almost everyone except the sailors looked terrified of the endeavor. The trio settled down in their room on the giant ship as they set out for Mor Ardain.
"Uh...so there's only two beds." Nia said as she came back with their room key. Immediately as she said this Rex took his cue.
"Alright! So, I'm gonna go get information and you guys can decide who gets the beds!" Rex said as fast walked away before a battle started.
"Wait Rex!..." Pyra's voice trailed off in his ears as he started a short jog.
"Girls...how do we decide this?" Pyra asked as she looked at her friends.
"Well, I for one, don't care at all." Mythra said with crossed arms and a blush.
"Reallllly? So you don't mind if me and Rex are up all night doing things in our bed?" Nia said with a giant smirk on her face.
The aura around Mythra started to grow and light started to pulsate.
"I said...I don't care." Mythra said with a sterner voice. It was so obvious she cared Nia and Pyra started to laugh. "W-what!? I don't!" Mythra pleaded to no avail.
"Alright blondie I'll accept that. So, Pyra it's between me and you!" Nia said as she looked at Pyra.
"My lady...this is a bit much? I'm sure master Rex will sleep on the floor. Besides Mythra and Pyra can sleep together in one bed and you can sleep on me." Dromarch said trying to diffuse the situation.
"Wha!? Dromarch sometimes your thinking side makes me hate you." Nia said defeated. "Alright...is everyone fine with that?"
Pyra and Mythra nodded to her in defeat. Dromarch's logic was too good for them.
The trio continued on to their room as Rex decided to look around the ship and gaze out on the water. He thought about everything. His relationship with the girls. The people who died for him. He missed Vandham, his parents, Fan, and even Torna. They were bad people, yet Rex held affection for them. He thought of Mikhail's sacrifice as well as Jin's. Even Malos had a turning around at the end. Just as Rex shed a tear for the ones he had lost he looked to the sky.
"Master…" Lapis said as she materialized and held his hand.
"Lapis, I'm going to protect you. No matter what I will. We'll make sure we save Elysium and you no matter the cost." Rex hugged the core. "I won't let anyone else die for me anymore."
"Master..." The core didn't know what to do with him. The pair cherished each other and it was obvious they did. They held affection for each other even though they had just met. They were like two sides of the same coin both left alone in the world. However, both weren't alone anymore.
The pair broke the embrace and looked at each other. Rex felt like she was something more than just a girl he had to save. He wanted to protect her and felt a familial love for her. He wouldn't let this girl be alone. He'd save her and the world. The pair looked out onto the sea and saw Mor Ardain far off in the distance.

Rex went back to his room and found the other girls fast asleep. On the right side of the room was Nia and Dromarch sleeping peacefully next to his bed. On the left bed he saw Pyra and Mythra fast asleep together with. Finally, Rex saw his bed in the middle. He was relieved they had figured it out without fighting. Rex flopped down on his bed and felt like he was about to die then and there. His body was sore and he hadn't got a good nights rest in a long time. He turned around on his back and looked at the ceiling.
"We've come a long way...right Jin?" Rex said as he clenched his hand into a fist holding it up. As he contemplated his actions and past as he looked up he felt his eyes get heavy as he slowly drifted off to sleep.

Rex awakened to the sounds of the ship and the ocean as his window was now open. Nia and Dromarch were nowhere to be found as Pyra and Mythra were as well. Rex got up out of bed and stretched.
"Alright Lapis! Time to get ready for docking." He said and was replied with nothing. "Ah, she must still be asleep."
Rex put his blade on his back and opened his room door. He walked out onto the deck and people were knocked out all over the floor.
"What the?!" Rex ran over to a woman on the floor to help them. "Are you okay?" Rex said as he looked at her wounds.
"Lapis can you heal her?" Rex said as he put his hand out. Blue energy surged through his hand and went into the woman's body. The woman flinched, but suddenly stopped moving. Rex checked her pulse and felt...nothing. He didn't feel a single beat. Her hand fell to her side and Rex laid her body on the ground as he closed her eyes.
"I'll do whatever I can to avenge you!" Rex said as he fell closed his eyes.
Rex continued on looking at everyone who had been attacked and they were all injured and groaning on the floors.
He walked out onto the deck and looked at all of the bodies strewn about the ship. 'What happened?! How did I sleep through this?!'
"Wait...Pyra, Mythra, and Nia!" Rex ran to the middle of the deck and looked at each body hoping he wouldn't find his friends. Just then he saw a big white blur sprint past him.
"D-dromarch?" Rex asked warily as he equipped his sword and stood at attention. "Lapis what's happening?!" Rex yelled to his partner and still got no reply. She healed that woman through his body, but now she won't respond!? Rex was freaking out. This was so much death and suffering all around him. Suddenly, the sky turned black and red as the moon shined down on him.
Rex looked to where the big white blur went as he saw the cat look up at him.
"Master Rex...you must get out of here before the-" Dromarch was cut off as he started to disappear and turn back into his core crystal.
"Nobody killed him...that means…!" Rex looked to behind where the core crystal was. He saw his blade. His friend. The girl who loved him lying there lifeless with a giant gash on her chest.
"NIA!" Rex yelled as ran over to the Gormotti girl. "Nia! Nia! You're alright, you're okay, don't do this, you're okay!" Rex pleaded as his eyes became watery.
"Rex...is Dromarch...gone?" Nia somehow got out. Rex nodded. "He's yours now...make sure you tell him about me…" Nia said as she cupped his face.
"Don't cry you...i-idiot…" Nia coughed out. "Listen...you have to leave...Pyra and Mythra they...are b-" Nia said as she coughed her last breath of air as she closed her eyes and her hand dropped from Rex's face.
Rex heard the floor cracked behind him. He turned around fast and drew his sword.
"Who are you?! Why did you do this!?" Rex's eyes were dark blue now as his anger took control of him. Then he heard a voice. A voice he knew all too well.
"Rex...I'm sorry, but this is the truth." Pneuma said as she looked across him from the ship.
"Wha? No...no, no, no! Pyra what do you mean sorry? And how are you in your Pneuma form?" Rex looked across her from the boat with tears beginning to come out of his eyes..
"Me and Mythra originally were formed together to protect you , but now? You're just a little too weak." Pneuma said looking at Rex. She split her form and Pyra and Mythra were now staring at Rex.
"Wait what?" Rex looked at the pair. Mythra turned around from him.
"Rex, it worked for a while, but now we found a better driver. You're worthless. We've been lying to you this whole time. You're nothing to us, but love is the easiest way to gain power out of someone." Mythra looked back.
"What?! No, you guys don't mean that!" Rex took a double take. "Wait a minute...you two…? You both did this to all these people?! To Nia and Dromarch!?" Rex's anger, sadness, grief, and every emotion he was feeling was formed in the energy swirling around him now. His tattoo grew all around his arm as it swirled up it. The insignia grew in size as he felt it burn.
"You guys did this?! Why!? I thought we were something more!? How could do this to me?! TO NIA!?" Rex screamed as he charged them his anger taking control. He didn't want to attack them, but Lapis was seemingly making him.
"You're just like your father…" Mythra said as she drew her sword and was about to stab Rex with it.
"What….did you just say?" Rex stopped in his tracks as Pyra dashed towards him stabbing him. Suddenly Rex's world went black as a shadowy figure stood above him and laughed.
XXXXXXXXX
"AHHHHHH" Rex yelled as he jumped out of his bed sweating bullets. As Rex shot up the other inhabitants of his room woke up from his yell. They all shot up with their eyes wide opened.
"Rex?!" The three girls all asked at the exact same time.
Rex looked around at his companions and tears were falling down his face. He leaped over to Nia and hugged her.
"Nia! You're alright!" Rex said as he tackled the girl. "Thank Architect you're alright!"
"W-w-w-what?! Rex?! Are you okay?!" Nia said blushing furiously not expecting this.
"I'm so glad you're okay!" Rex said breaking the hug off.
"What do you mean? I wasn't in any danger?" Nia asked quizzically.
"Oh...it was just...just a dream…" Rex said as he broke the hug.
"Ahem!" A voice called out from behind them. It was Mythra who was standing up in her white nightgown staring at the pair. "Are you guys done yet? I'd really like to go to sleep now."
'She's so jealous!' Nia thought triumphantly in her head.
"Oh right sorry!" Rex said as he hopped back into his bed. Pyra flickered off the light in the room as she stared at Rex. There was something more that just happened. She knew the boy well enough to realize when something was wrong. However, she was too tired so she decided to just go back to sleep for now.
'Lapis...what was that?' Rex asked in his mind.
'To be honest Master, I'm not sure. It could've been a vision, but most likely was just a bad dream. The effects from Mythra's vision and mine could be conflicting though. I'll look more into it though.' Lapis replied with her cute voice.
'Alright thanks Lapis.' Rex said as he drifted off back to sleep.
'My...father….' Rex thought as he finally fell asleep thinking about his father and his past.
Little did the group know their journey was about to gain a whole new meaning…

So, I am the worst at keeping my word. Sorry again for that guys! I hope I at least scared someone with that dream thing. I wanted it to be long as it sets up more plot, but I didn't want it to be like its own thing. Hopefully, someone believed it for a second ;). Again thanks for the support and don't forget to tell me what you think! Any sort of response is appreciated!
