Hey guys! Hopefully this chapter got out pretty quick. I'm really starting to feel this chapter as now we are actually getting into the thick of things. So, let me know how long you guys think this should be as I can write for a while or I could end it soon, but it looks like I'm gonna be writing for a longer as the story is like a quarter of the way done. Also, quick reminder this story strays from the canon in aspects so their will be certain parts where I change the main story as to what happened in the canon past. I didn't forget Azurda either...he's just waiting ;). So thanks again guys! Love ya!

Rex found himself to be more tired than usual. He hadn't been able to get back to sleep since his dream. It made him more wary of what was to come, especially since Lapis said it could be a vision. However, he wouldn't believe it. He couldn't. Pyra and Mythra really did love him they showed him that. He would stay by them till the very end just like before.

"Hey...Rex?" Pyra called out as Rex sat up in his bed and stretched. "Do you, um, want to talk about what happened last night?" Truth be told Pyra was terrified for Rex as she had always been. She had never seen him act like, save for the time when she pretty much killed herself for him.

"Oh! I….I don't really know, to be honest." Rex said. Should he tell her what he saw? What if there's something more to it? He didn't know what to do so he kept quiet.

"Was it...about us?" Pyra asked looking down. She knew the boy had nightmares about when they lied to him and died. She knew it still pained him greatly. Rex took a look around the room to see if their partners were with them. Nia and Dromarch were and Mythra was most likely in tow.

"Actually...I think I should tell you this...especially since you told me to be more open." When Rex saw his lover's face saddened he lost the will to hold it back. He explained to her about his dream and how real it felt.

"So, really the only things that stuck out to me were the mention of my dead father and Nia's death by you and Mythra." Rex said as his blade stared at him with wide eyes. When he said his sentence Pyra flinched. Why did she flinch? Just as Rex was wondering that Pyra spoke up.

"Listen Rex, there's something I need to tell you…" Pyra said as she sat closer to him. "I want you to know that I didn't mean to keep this from you, but I never found the right time to tell you." Pyra explained as Rex stared at her more intensely now.

'What does she mean?' Rex thought as he looked at his partner.

"Alright, so what's up?" Rex said as he took her hand in his.

"Well, I...I…" Pyra stumbled with her words for some reason. "I just wanted you to know that the dream may have been apart of Lapis' effect on you."

"Oh that?" Rex said not surprised at all. "I already knew that!" Rex said smiling.

"O-oh really? Well, then I'm glad that's settled." Pyra said with a smile. However, something about her seemed off. She seemed...uncomfortable.

"Rex...I love you." Pyra said as she got up and embraced her driver.

"I love you too Pyra." Rex said as the blade kissed his cheek.

Rex blushed, but he was slowly getting used to this. This feeling of...love. Honestly, he wanted to do more. With his newfound confidence he also gained his desire to do more with the girls. However, he tried to suppress it just in case they weren't the same. Pyra waved and walked out of the room in front of Rex.

"I think we're about to dock soon so get ready to leave, alright?" Pyra said with a half smile. Something was definitely off with her.

Rex got his things together and attached his blades on his back.

"Master, you have a little too many blades." Lapis called out. She was right. Rex had his retractable blade from Isaac on his side. Pyra and Mythra's blade on his lower back making an X and Nia's scimitar on his upper back.

"Uh...right." Rex said looking at himself in the mirror. He did look kind of dumb.

"Master, I can hold them for you." Lapis said as she materialized.

"Wait, you can do that?" Rex asked with surprise.

"Yes, just hand me the blade you want to store and I can dematerialize it and dematerialize it whenever you want." Lapis explained.

"Alright then! Here take these three then." Rex handed her Nia's, Mythra's, and Isaac's blade as he kept Pyra's.

Rex gathered his things a pack and headed out. He went straight to the deck to meet up with the girls.

"Woah! Is that Mor Ardain?!" Rex exclaimed as he saw the now connected Titan with a small city sprouting off of it.

"Seems to be." Nia said as even she was impressed with this feat.

"That's crazy I wonder if Morag is doing alright?" Rex asked.

"I'm sure she's exhausted with all the building and planning." Pyra added in.

Pyra glanced at Rex.

'I shouldn't have done that! Why am I so dumb?!' Pyra thought to herself as she looked at her partner.

"Hey Rex-" Pyra started, but was cut off by a loud noise. The boat had just docked and the group was standing right at the part of the deck where the bridge connected. A more artificial voice called out to the group.

"Pyra! Mythra!" The sisters looked together in unison as they were met with a small girl jumping into their arms just like on Azurda's back.

"Poppi!?" The group collectively yelled in unison.

Rex was just as surprised as he was hit with a giant blob of a Nopon.

"Rex Rex!" Tora exclaimed as he jumped on his first friend. Rex caught Tora and set him down.

"Hey Tora! It's been a while!" Rex looked genuinely happy to see his friend again. Tora had been Rex's second companion on his journey. He had missed the absence of testosterone in the group as he had been surrounded by his three...his three...what were they? They weren't just friends to him anymore. At least not Pyra and Mythra. He wasn't too sure about his feelings for Nia, but he knew his feelings for his two partners. How was he going to tell the others? Tora probably wouldn't understand. He also would have to explain the attacks and why they were all called in general. However, not now. He needed time to come up with a good report. Especially for Morag. Rex knew she'd give him a hard time for not listening to her. He put it out of his mind for now.

"Tora missed Rex Rex very much!" Tora said as he jumped up and down. Poppi soon came over to Rex and gave him a hug as well.

The entire group was smiling and talking as a dark figure walked up.

"You all seem to be having fun." A stern voice called out to the group.

"Morag! Hey!" Rex said as he waved to her. Morag wasn't a woman for hugs so she held out her hand to the young salvager. He shook and they both looked at each other until Rex felt a force come down on his head.

"Ow! What was that for?!" Rex said as he looked up at the woman.

"That's for not listening to me!" She said with a stern voice, then in a unexpected turn of events she pulled the boy in for a hug, "And that's for being okay." Morag said as she felt a motherly love for the young salvager. Everyone was in disbelief. Morag...showing this kind of emotion? That was a rare sight.

"I missed you all. It's great to see you all well. I'll show you to your rooms in the castle and then we can talk tonight." Morag said

The reunited group walked together.

"So Morag, how's the reconstruction going?" Rex asked walking beside his friend.

"Well, so far we have expanded out into Elysium all while rebuilding the main city. However, that is harder than it sounds. By splitting our forces in half we are getting half the work done. Though Aegeaon and the other blades are helping out a lot." Morag continued. "So currently it is going well. I received Zeke's letter yesterday so he should be arriving tonight. It seems he and his father have reconciled through current events."

"Aw that's great! I'm glad things are going alright here as well!" Rex said. "Back in Fonsett it's definitely been a long time since we've heard some good news!"

"Where's Brighid?" Rex asked.

"She's in your room preparing for tonight." Morag said with a stern face.

"What's tonight?" Rex asked quizzically. Morag flashed a wide grin at the boy.

"A banquet for the hero is happening tonight." Morag said as they came closer to the castle.

"Ah that's great you're finally getting the recognition you deserve Morag!" Rex said playfully punching her in the arm.

"Ah...Rex, it's not for me. It's for you." Morag said as she patted Rex on the head.

"Wait what!? Morag?! Wait where are you going!?" Rex said as Morag walked off towards another part of the castle.

"I have some business to take care of so get settled in and meet in the dining hall at 7! All the leaders of each area will be there so make sure you look nice!" Morag hollered back at them as she entered into an elevator.

"You have got to be kidding me." Rex said hanging his head and shrugging his shoulders at the thought.

"Oh come on Rex, it won't be that bad right?" Pyra said appearing to his right.

A soldier approached and talked to the the group, "I will take you to your rooms."

"Alright let's go guys." Rex said as they followed the man.

Everyone had gotten their very own room. Except for Pyra and Mythra who had to share a room away from Rex to their dismay. Everyone settled in to their own rooms as they awaited for Zeke to finally get to them. Lapis materialized in front of Rex.

"Master, I'm going to go to the Xanadu to take check the situation there so I won't be able to contact you for a while." Lapis called out as Rex flopped down on his bed.

"You can just...do that?" Rex asked.

"Yes, I am the very essence of Elysium." Lapis responded.

"Oh, right!" Rex laughed and continued. "Alright, be safe alright?"

"Yes, Master." Lapis said as Rex patted her on the head.

Lapis phased out of the room as Rex laid back down.

"This has been crazy…" Rex said as he looked at the ceiling above him.

The room suddenly got colder as Rex stuck his hand in the air.

"Aw man...I'll have to get Pyra to heat up my room." Rex said aloud.

"R-e-x-y~" A voice called out as the lights in the room dimmed slightly and it got even colder.

"Who is i….t…!" Rex shot up. "Blanche!?"

Rex felt himself being pinned down on the bed. Blanche slowly crawled closer and closer to the boy on his bed.

"Uh, w-what are you doing here?" Rex said as he looked for his blade at the edge of the bed. He remembered he locked the door when he came in so help wasn't a option. What was he supposed to do?!

"Don't worry Rexy~ I'm just here to play today." Blanche said as she began to straddle Rex. He could feel the cold flowing off of her. She really did look like Pyra, but just a little more bluish. They were supposed to be opposites. The shadowy aura was gone off of Blanche and in the corner of the room was another blade sitting at the table.

"Try to wait for me to leave next time, alright Blan?" The blade called monotonically. Noir!? How did they both get in here anyway?!

"Right right...I just couldn't keep my hands off Rexy~" Blanche looked back down at Rex with big eyes, "Especially with how these girls treat him here…" When she said this she seemed to pout and look at Rex with saddened eyes.

"What do you mean?" Rex said as he looked up at the girl on top of him. As he said this he heard Noir get up from her chair.

"Listen, we're not here to fight or spoil the story for you. We are only here to talk this time. Truth be told we felt Lapis leave you and took our chance. We actually don't have a fight with you. Trust me, if I even tried to hurt you the one on top of you would kill me within seconds."

"Wha...why?" Rex was confused. "I've never even met you before...have I?"

"I've only watched you from afar. You are such a hottie. I'm in love with you Rex. I'll kill anyone who tries to hurt you." Blanche says a little psychotically.

"Wait...how did you know I had that dream?" Rex said. He was interested now. They obviously weren't a threat, so what was the harm in just talking. Rex sat up and Blanche got off of him and sat next to him. Blanche grabbed onto his arm with Noir looking noticeably irked.

"And why are you guys siding with the Remnants?" Rex asked looking at Noir.

"Well, it's a little bit complicated. Long story short it's what we're made to do. We were designed to be the fail safe for Elysium in case anything ever went wrong. So, since the core of Elysium was taken we were activated. We are made out of pure chaos." Noir said and she looked directly at Rex. "I don't want to fight you, but we were made to. If you can just give the core to the Remnants we can stop Elysium. Lapis has to die in order to save Elysium and its new inhabitants. However, aside from that Rex, there's one thing in common between the three of us. Something that connects us." Noir continued.

"What is that?" Rex asked looking more and more anxious.

"Your father. Our driver."

What? My father is dead. How are we connected from it? No, that's not possible!

"Rex…" Blanche said as she noticed Rex's look. He was hurt, confused, and obviously angered. He didn't understand what was happening.

"What do you mean?!" Rex said as he clenched his hands. If there was any chance these girls were connected with his father...he had to know.

"Looks like we're out of time." Noir said as a shadowy force began to form around her.

*BOOM*

The door to Rex's room suddenly came flying open with flashing light.

"Noir!" Mythra yelled as she charged into the room. Mythra jumped and collided with Noir's aura that now created a shield around her.

"I see you're as barbaric as ever." Noir said as she rolled her eyes.

"Get away from him!" Pyra yelled as she ran in looking at Blanche.

"Be right back Rexy~" Blanche said as she kissed his cheek.

"Wha…? Wait! Guys don't fight!" Rex said as he stood up trying to get the quartet to stop the battle that was about to begin. Suddenly, Pyra and Blanche charged and Noir and Mythra charged towards The thoughts of the new found information that was told to him swirled around in his mind. Anger and desperacy filled his body.

"I said...stop!" Rex yelled as his tattoo grew around his arm just like in his dream. Blue aura swirled all around his as he held out his hand. He rushed to the middle of the impending battle and got between the girls. Rex felt the power pulsating through his body and he let it all out with a cry.

"AAARGH!" Rex yelled as he threw his hands outwards and blue aura pushed both pairs back away from each other. The aura didn't leave Rex as he stared at both girls.

"There's no reason to fight! Let's just talk about this!" Rex pleaded with the girls.

"That's impossible Rex. We are destined to fight." Mythra said.

Noir and Blanche stared at Rex.

"Rex…" Blanche said as she looked longingly at Rex.

"Rex, you should know…" Noir began.

"Your father...is still alive." Noir and Blanche phased into the shadows and their auras disappeared from the room.
