Hey guys! Thanks for all the kind words and support they mean a lot to me and inspire me to keep going! I think I missed this story honestly. I mean writing all this again makes me realize how much I honestly love Xenoblade 2 and writing. However, I'm still hoping for that Rex and Pyra announcement for Smash Ultimate. "...my father…" Rex mumbled to himself as he stared at the man before him. The man looked around and mumbled something to the girls behind him. They immediately pointed at Rex as Noir looked away and Blanche gave Rex a lustful glare.

"Ah...so that is my son? Pathetic." The man bellowed. The entire room was in shock. Nobody moved and the air felt cold and heavy.

"Boy...you'll be coming with me." The man began to walk toward Rex and smoke and shards of ice began to swirl around his hands. Blanche's and Noir's blades appeared in his left and right hands and Rex's mouth dropped.

"H-how is that possible?" Rex was frightened by the demeanor of the man combined with the pressure and realization he had just had left him frozen in fear.

"Stratosophic thunder!" A manly voice yelled behind Rex.

"Zeke!?" Rex yelled as the prince jumped over Rex and collided with his father.

"Hmph. Weak." His father grumbled as he lifted up his sword to block the attack. Zeke collided with Rex's father and was immediately thrown back from the force of the block.

"You look pretty sexy today Rex." Noir said as she appeared behind his father with Blanche.

"We'll have to take you now Rexy~" Blanche said as his father tossed the swords back to his blades.

"Not a chance bitch!" Mythra summoned her blade and charged Noir as Pyra did with Blanche. However, this time the two switched targets before they reached them startling Noir and Blanche. Pyra shot a fire slash at Noir while Mythra shot a flash of light towards Blanche.

"I guess getting a kiss from Rex gives you a little more common sense right?" Noir said looking slightly jealous and irritated as she dodged the oncoming attack.

"No fair!" Blanche echoed back as she dodged the attack and gave Mythra a pout. "We'll just have to take another first then~"

This agitated Mythra and Pyra as Zeke got back up and into the fight.

"Rex! Do you have a weapon?" Zeke called out as he began charging at the man again. Before Zeke could reach his target the man held out his hand and gauntlets over his hands.

"You're just the fool I thought you were. You're father may have been the lesser man, but he was a greater fighter."

"Shut the hell up!" Zeke charged as Pandy backed him up. "Pandy where's Morag?!"

"Right here!" A shot of blue fire encircled the crew as people finally began to run from the battle and ceremony. "I sent Aegeaon to evacuate the citizens and take care of things outside so we can fight without restriction now!"

"Rex!" Behind Morag appeared a Gormotti girl wearing a white tank top with the top of her jumpsuit tied around her waist. Nia had half her makeup done with her slightly curled.

Rex was still in a daze as thoughts flooded his mind and he couldn't get a grip on reality. What could he do? This was his father! Why was he trying to kill him and who were Blanche and Noir?! Rex was in a trance and didn't notice the shadow spear flying towards him.

"Dromarch!" Nia yelled at the big cat who was already sprinting towards Rex.

"Wah!" Rex yelled as he was tackled by the giant cat.

"Master Rex you must snap out of it!" Dromarch politely raised his voice towards his master's love interest.

"O-oh right!" Rex finally snapped back into reality as he looked around him. Pyra and Mythra were fighting Blanche and Noir while Zeke and Morag were fighting his father. Nia was now running towards Dromarch and him.

"What are you doing you idiot!?" Nia yelled as she looked at Rex up and down.

"Eh...hehe…" Rex laughed as he began to look Nia up and down as well. "Well you certainly know how to dress provocatively." Rex said with a toothy grin.

"Why did your optimism and stupidness come back now?" Nia said with a sigh as she turned around. Little did Rex know the young Gormotti girl was blushing harder than ever.

"Alright let's go help the others!" Rex said as he began to take off with the other two in tow.

"Master! I'm back what happened?!" Lapis appeared in a transparent form only known to Rex as she flew by his side.

"A lot of things actually! I'll explain later, but right now we have to fight!" Rex said.

"Master, are you aware of who that man is?" Lapis said in Rex's mind.

"Yeah, I know he's my father...but right now that doesn't matter! We have to protect everyone! I'll protect you Lapis, but if push comes to shove you have to run. He's here for you so if need be promise me you'll run!" Rex echoed back to her.

"As you wish Master…" Lapis replied sounding a little sad at the thought.

"Alright partner let's go!" Rex said. Looking at the fights going on. Morag and Zeke were having a tougher time than Pyra and Mythra. It looked weird to Rex however. Both Pyra and Mythra combined with Noir and Blanche seemed to match each others movements. Like they knew what the other duo was going to do within a seconds notice. Was there a deeper connection? Rex pushed the thought out of his mind and focused on his decision. He decided to go fight the man who claimed to be his father. He needed answers. Rex loosened his tie and began to

charge.

"Morag Ladair along with Zeke von Genbu...I must say you're both not as strong as I've been told by my underlings." Rex's father told the pair with a void look in his eyes.

"This...strength...you're not human are you?" Morag panted as she asked her question.

"Hmph. I thought it would take you longer to figure out. Very well, should you even hit me slightly I shall answer your question. However, I won't hold back." The man told both Zeke and Morag.

"Whaddya say Pandy? Shall we let loose?!" Zeke shouted as he aimed his sword at his opponent.

"Yes my prince!" His blade responded. The affinity line between the pair turned golden yellow as they both released an enormous amount of energy in sync.

"Morag, you thinking what I'm thinking?" Zeke asked.

"Quite." Morag responded as the affinity line between the pair took the same transformation.

"Let's dance!" Zeke said as both he and Morag charged.

'I know you're coming' Zeke thought in his mind. 'Surely you won't give up that easily chum!'

'Hurry it up…' Morag thought as she took a battle ready stance.

Zeke charged up a lighting strike and flung it towards his opponent while Morag encircled him with blue flames.

"Hmph. You're becoming predictable. You lack conviction to truly defeat me." The man bellowed out.

"Ha! No...that's not it. We just have learnt to have faith!" Zeke yelled as him and Morag both smiled and their swords collided with the man.

"So that was your so called faith? Pathetic." The smoke disappeared and Morag and Zeke's eyes went wide. The man had grabbed both Zeke's buster sword and both of Morag's whip swords. Soon however both royalties smiled.

"No I am!" Rex slashed through the electricity and blue flames as he flew through the air.

"!?" The man's eyes went wide.

The tattoo on his hand had extended up his arm and the energy flowing through it ripped his right sleeve off. Rex used Lapis to enhance his speed as well as his strength and to hide his presence. Rex slashed at the man and it looked like Rex had connected with his attack. He flashed a grin and went for a second slash. He retracted his sword and then shot it out again to gain more momentum and he circled around. However, this time the man was prepared. Rex's attack was blocked by a clang of metal.

"What!?" Rex yelled in surprise.

"Hm, as I thought as my son I truly won't be able to use just my bare hands." As Rex got a better look he saw what had blocked his attack. A large purple and black battle axe had parried his sword and energy surged through the opposing weapon.

"I've had enough of this. Blanche! Noir! We're leaving in 5!" The man echoed back without breaking eye contact from Rex.

However, when the smoke cleared from the man's face Zeke and Morag both noticed something. There was a slight cut on the enemy's cheek where Rex had attacked. Noticing this the man put his hand up to his cheek to see the blood.

"Ha! It's been forever since I've been injured. You truly are my son. Very well Morag and Zeke I shall tell you about myself. My name is Shiro and as you might not know I am Rex's father. However, you are correct that I am not human. I am...a blade eater created by my wife. As you may have guessed I am the leader of the Remnants. However, I have not come for the core today. I have another...goal." Shiro identified himself and Rex was visibly shocked by the blade eater realization.

"Then may I ask what your goal is?" Morag said as she readied herself. Brighid got ready to pour ether into her partner.

"Hmph, I'm done playing with you all. My goal? You all played into my plan. Noir has the same foresight ability as Mythra. You brought me what I wanted." Shiro gave a devious grin.

'Brought him what he wanted? What could that be...Wait!' Morag came to a late conclusion.

"Rex run away!" Morag said as she charged Shiro. Zeke had realized it at the same time and began to charge with his comrade.

"Wha?!" Rex said as he looked confused. "And leave you guys?! No way!"

Morag and Zeke's eyes went wide as they saw what was about to happen. Shiro frowned.

"You spoke of trust earlier correct? My son must be lacking in that area." As Shiro said this he raised up his axe. "Fatal Attraction!" (A/U I'll grant a request if anyone can tell me where this move comes from.) Immediately. Morag, Zeke, Brighid, Nia, Pyra, Mythra, and Pandy were all forced to the ground from extreme pressure. The only ones left standing were Dromarch and Rex who were barely able to keep their balance.

"Master….Rex…" Dromarch uttered as he began to charge up an attack. Suddenly, the cat was flung against the wall from a combination of shadow and ice. Dromarch was knocked unconscious as Nia cried out his name.

'How!? How can we be this outmatched?! We had defeated Aion!' Mythra thought to herself. Shiro's level and presence was on a completely different level than anything they had faced before.

"Rex! Run away!" Pyra tried to call out to Rex, but was soon silenced by her strength being sucked out of her.

"This move drains all form of life's energy around me as well as taking strengthening gravity." Shiro explained. "Now then...let's go you two!"

Blanche and Noir appeared behind their driver.

"Blanche, you may do the honors." Shiro said as his battle axe disappeared.

"Forgive me for hurting you Rexy, but I promise I'll make it up to you later~" Blanche said as she walked up to Rex.

"I hope you don't think I'm leaving you alone with him B." Noir added with a hint of jealousy.

"You're no fun." Blanche pouted as she cupped Rex's face.

'Lapis leave now! They're trying to take you! Leave me for now and we'll catch up later alright?!' Rex pleaded in his mind.

'But Master I-!' Lapis began, but was cut off by her partner.

'We promised right?' Rex said in his mind as he smiled in the present. Rex felt his body become heavier as the presence of Lapis disappeared. Immediately his body was drawn to the floor as her ether disappeared from his body.

"Nighty night, I'll try not to bite~" Blanche said as Rex felt a punch collide with his stomach. Soon he lost consciousness and was reduced to nothing.

"R-rex!" Pyra and Mythra called out simultaneously as Nia watched in horror. Zeke and Morag stared at the young man with wide eyes and open mouths. Were the so called heroes defeated this easily by one man?!

"We shall take our leave from this land of corruption and false hope. Noir!" Shiro commanded and Noir opened up a shadow portal for the three to walk into. Shiro walked towards Rex and flung him over his shoulder. The trio along with Rex walked into the portal as Shiro looked back at the defeated group behind him.

"Hmph. Weak and pathetic." Shrio grunted as he walked into the portal disappearing for good. Rex's tattoo retracted back into its insignia form as he was carried into the portal.

"Release." Shiro mumbled as his attack was lifted off from the group.

"GET BACK HERE!" Mythra ran as she began to chase down the invaders. Shiro gave one last look and smiled deviously right into her eyes. Mythra became filled with rage as she sent a light blast towards the portal. Shiro simply waved the attack off and turned around before becoming fully encased in shadow.

"SHIRO! GIVE ME REX!" Mythra yelled as she leaped towards him. Shiro looked deep into Mythra's eyes and sternly said one word.

"Murderer." Shiro took a step back and shadow encompassed him. Soon the portal disappeared from the plane of existence and Mythra was sent crashing to the floor along with her hopes of getting Rex back. Mythra had dived, but couldn't reach Rex in time so she hit the floor with a loud thud as everyone looked around her. Nia was crouched next to Dromarch healing him with tears and an angered look in her eyes. Zeke was sitting on the floor holding the spot where Shiro had retaliated against him while Pandy hovered over him. Morag was standing up and looked utterly humiliated and defeated as Brighid was behind.

"Morag…" Brighid said softly as she reached out for her partner.

"It's our fault...my fault that we just watched Rex get taken from us…" Morag sheathed her swords and looked around. The place was a mess and Aegeaon had now ran in to help with the fight.

"Lady Morag!" Aegeaon yelled as he caught up to her and continued to converse with her about their predicament.

Meanwhile Pyra was standing up looking at her sister with tears streaming down her face and her hands covering her mouth.

"R-rex…" Pyra said as she began to feel her legs become weak.

Mythra looked down at her hands.

"I wasn't able to...do anything to help him…" Mythra punched the ground in a rage as tears began to well up in her eyes. "It's my fault he's gone…" Mythra looked where the portal had gone and saw three things in three separate boxes. She made her way towards them and looked down towards the objects. She saw her name along with Nia's and Pyra's on each one of the boxes and picked the one addressed to her up.

'To: Mythra'

'From: Rex'

Mythra opened the box and her eyes went wide as she looked at what was inside. Inside was a gold and green right that matched her usual outfits color scheme. Mythra held it in her hand and clutched it to her heart. Her legs gave out and for the first time in a long time...Mythra cried her eyes out. She thought of Rex and how she had failed him and simply cried and cried and cried.

Hey guys! So I wanted to have this chapter out quick so I wouldn't make you guys wait too long! I actually got this idea of the whole "request" thing from another fanfic writer so I thought I'd do it too. It can be a question, request, or anything really and I'll respond with what I can do in the beginning of the next chapter.
