ALRIGHT! Hey everyone sorry for the delay! So, as a side note I'm going to be writing a one-shot from the scene where Rex and Mythra land in Morytha, but with Rex and Nia this time! This was requested by AzureFlame for winning the challenge and I'm more than happy to write that! Personally, it always made me mad when they just kind of brushed Nia's confession under the rug except for the part before you meet Clause. So stay tuned for that. Yes, yes, I know. It has been a long long LONG time. I gotta apologize for that, but summer for me has been hectic. I got super sick, have been to three weddings, and my grandpa died. As well as the fact I used to write these chapters in school so since that is starting up again on the 17th more chapters will come out weekly! Anyways enjoy this chapter!

"Holy shit…" Rex mumbled to himself as he looked down at what he assumed was what they called, "Fool's March."

"Impressive right?" Noir said as she followed Shiro and Rex outside the building. In the span of a month of settling in Elysium, the Remnants had already found a base of operations, named and settled it, and even built an entire town for themselves. Rex had to admit he was impressed. Right now they were on a building above the rest, which seemed to be a part of a castle. Rex went to the railing and looked down on all the people. Housing and shops were lined up everywhere and there were tons of people that were just...living their lives like regular people.

"How many people are here?" Rex asked as he looked over them.

"Our estimates say around 15,000 people. We have enough food, shelter, and quality for around 50,000 though. Especially, with all of the recent traders coming through this area." Shiro said seriously.

"Wow...it's only been a month since we settled and only a few days since we left Fonsett yet everything's changed this much." Rex said.

"When humans and blades combine their efforts this is the result." Shiro said. "Do you see why we wish for the core?"

"But don't you want to destroy Elysium?" Rex questioned.

"Of course not, I want my people to live a fulfilled life while worshipping Addam. Elysium was meant for us and not the horrible people of Alrest. We wish to exterminate the unnecessary and unworthy people from Elysium and create a perfect world. A world where blades and humans live in harmony with no obstacles." Shiro said as he walked to Rex's side.

"You are the false prophet Rex, but with my guidance I could make you one worthy of Addam! The core has imprinted on you. You can use that power to make Elysium a place for my people and in turn rule with me alongside the teachings of Addam. All we must do is cleanse the unworthy. Instead of handing over the core, why don't you work with me?"

"Hold on...this is a lot to take in…" Rex said trying to take everything in.

"Noir...leave us." Shiro said waving Noir off.

"Alright, Rex when you're done here let's meet up, kay?" Noir said as she flashed a smile and left.

"We...we have a lot to talk about right?" Shiro said.

"Y-yeah…" Rex said trying to process that his father was right in front of him.

"Well first and foremost I should tell you about Noir and Blanche. They were created by Pyra and Mythra's hidden sides to their personalities. The parts they keep more hidden." Shiro explained.

'How does he think that Noir and Blanche come first before addressing the fact that he's my father?!' Rex yelled in his mind.

"Wait...so does that mean they aren't real?" Rex asked.

"No they are quite real. However, since they are opposing forces it causes a disturbance when both are around at the same time. Especially, if this happened in Elysium, which it is. The core is the true backbone of Elysium."

"So, they're basically the darker forms of Pyra and Mythra?" Rex said thinking of Pyra and Blanche specifically.

"Essentially, yes. The one you call Pyra must hide her clinginess and devotion to you very well as you can see the difference in her and Blanche. The one you call Mythra however, seems to be more true to herself as her and Noir share a lot of similarities. So in order to create a perfect Elysium we must get rid of one of the pair." Shiro added.

"I'm so confused. None of this is making any sense! How do you know all of this anyway?" Rex asked looking up.

"Hmph. The truth is your mother did not make me a blade eater. I've been around since Addam's time. I'm actually older than your Aegis'. However, when I met your mother it was...like nothing I had ever experienced. In over 500 years of my life I have only ever experienced love with her." Shiro said as he looked void of emotion as he spoke about Rex's mother.

"I only started to try and reform the world because of her…After she died I was lost. Then I remembered the feelings and ideals that Addam instilled in me from back then. I do not remember who made me into a blade eater...however, I will carry out Addam's ideals until I can face him once again."

"What...what do you mean? Is that why you hate the Aegis so much?" Rex said as he clenched his fists.

"That is a part of it. I hate the Aegis because…they are weapons of pure carnage and destruction. They were apart of the reason your mother died. I...I can't bear the thought of thinking about the pain your mother was in…"

Rex heard this and was visibly shook. That doesn't make sense!

"You're wrong! That doesn't make any sense! How is it their fault!?" Rex yelled.

"Had they not started this damned 500 year old war she would've been saved!" Shiro raised his voice only slightly, but the pressure was even heavier now. "Your mother, Maria, was a healer with a blade of her own. Nim was her name I believe. Maria used me for battles and Nim for healing. Life was perfect and she was so innocent. However, the humans and the Aegis took her away from me. Malos and Mythra are the root of humanities problems. This is why it is humans themselves and the Aegis' combined effort that caused the titan's and Addam to disappear from this world and leaving it to decay. You yourself have taken out one problem in the Architect, but with Mythra and Pyra still alive there is a larger problem."

"So you want to kill more than half the population because of it?! That's wrong!" Rex fired back.

"Is it truly? Can you certainly say it is wrong? You don't have the right to decide what is right and wrong! I don't think it is right, but I do think it is necessary." Shiro said.

"You're no different than Malos or Amalthus!" Rex retorted getting riled up. Shiro's logic was wrong and twisted. None of what he was saying held any weight to anyone other than him!

"No...I am better than them. I will realize my dream...with or without your cooperation. I will create the world Addam desired. This discussion is over. Noir will give you the tour of the town. You have until tonight to give me your decision on whether or not you're going to join us. I will await your decision...son." Shiro said as he put a hand on Rex's shoulder and then walked away.

"Son…" Rex muttered to himself. 'Some reunion this was…'

Soon Rex collected his thoughts and walked back into the castle. He made his way down the steps only to see Blanche and Noir waiting for him at the door. They were both talking to each other about their outfits.

"Noir, aren't you trying a little too hard with the ponytail?" Blanche said with a smirk.

"Heh, you're just jealous because you're hair is too short to have one." Noir fired back.

"At least I can express my love for Rex honestly. It seems you have more in common with Mythra than you think~" Blanche said sarcastically.

"You wanna go girl?" Noir asked as she summoned her shadows.

"Do you even have to ask?" Blanche said as she laughed while the air grew colder.

"Uh...guys?" Rex asked looking at the pair. He had changed before he came out and was now wearing jeans with a black and blue shirt on. He looked a little traumatized.

*Flashback*

"This room is huge!" Rex said as he walked behind Shiro.

"Together as a community we do the best we possibly can. In a way the people here see you as a hero though that term is a bit corrupted." Shiro said with his usual monotone voice.

"Right…" Rex said timidly. Was this man really his father? It made sense that he could reproduce since he was a blade eater and wasn't originally a blade, but still he looked different from Rex.

"So, what exactly happened back then when you and mom ran away?" Rex said as he sat down on the bed prepared for him.

"Hm, well, we were running because of bandits that had cornered us. We were on our way to the Spirit Crucible Elyps when it happened. We were trying to hand you off to Corrine before we began our journey downwards, but suddenly were cut off by the bandits. I wasn't...strong enough to protect her and Nim had died first. Even still your mother was fearless in protecting you. I stayed behind to stall them, but eventually they overwhelmed me and one got past me. Needless to say, your mother killed him, but she was injured in the process. I'm sure you know how it ends from there." Shiro said.

Rex looked at Shiro who now had the same eyes that Jin had. Lifeless. Emotionless. Flat out sad. However, now that Rex wasn't so groggy he got a better look at his father. The man was not as large as Wulfric without his armor and gear on him, but still had the muscles of him. He had dark blue hair with blue eyes that were devoid of emotion. He was wearing a black shirt with red stripes up the arms along with a core right in the middle of his chest. He was also wearing army pants along with combat boots. Along his belt was weapons of all sorts and on his back was the weapon he used to manipulate gravity.

"Noir and Blanche are waiting for you downstairs…" Shiro boomed noticing Rex's eyes looking at his weapons. "The maids shall take care of you."

With that Shiro began for the door and opened it up. Four maids walked into the room with multiple sets of clothes for Rex.

"Alright...wait maids?!" Rex said with a flustered face. Shiro paid no mind and closed the door.

"Master Rex...please strip." One of the maids said while Rex was still flustered.

"Don't worry we have experience with this kind of stuff." Another said.

Rex didn't like the way she emphasized the word experience, but suddenly felt his shirt being taken off. The maids were on him like the giant gorilla in Gormott.

"Wait! I can do this myse- Aaahh~!" Rex said as he was forcibly changed along with a few wandering hands.

*End of Flashback*

"You look good Rex!" Blanche said grabbing his arm.

"Yeah...so shall we go?" Noir said with a slight blush as she forcibly grabbed his arm to lead him away.

'This...might not be too bad?' Rex thought. He was a young man after all.

"So Angel where did you say you came from and what do you do?" Morag asked once again.

"A place called Japan and I play...video games and am a intern at a hospital." Angel said looking around his surroundings.

"Vidya Gaymes?" Morag tried to say, but put too much emphasis on the words. Obviously, Angel cringed very hard.

"Tora knows!" Tora pulled out a handheld version of Tiger! Tiger! and handed it to Angel. "This is video game right?"

"Actually yeah! This looks similar to some of the older games in my world! Can I try it?" Angel said excitedly.

"Sure!" Tora said as he handed the device to Angel with his...ears? Arms? Wings? Angel didn't know what the hell they were.

*Minutes later*

"WOW!" Tora screamed as he jumped up and down. "Even best friend Rex-Rex not get perfect score on stage 5!"

"That was hard mode? Tora this game is interesting, but that was a little too easy dontcha think?" Angel said as he handed the console back to Tora.

"Tora will make hardest game for Angel!" Tora said as he gave the device to Poppi.

"I'll gladly play it. Also, is that a...robot?" Angel said pointing at Poppi.

"No Poppi is artificial blade!" Poppi replied.

Morag along with the others gave Angel an explanation about their world now and how it works.

"W-wow that's a lot to take in. Though I can't say I haven't seen my fair share of weird stuff though." Angel said.

"I thought it was weird you had been taking this so easily Master Angel!" Dromarch echoed from the back.

"Yeah...haha!" Angel said with a sweat drop and a awkward laugh.

"Anyway back on topic...how are we going to save Rex and when?" Morag said looking a little more fierce. The only people present were Morag, Brighid, Dromarch, Zeke, Pandoria, and Lapis along with Tora and Poppi. Azurda, Nia, and Pyra were on their way to talk to Mythra.

XXXXXXXXX

"Mythra?" Pyra said gently following a small knock on the lights blades door. "It's me...I'm with Azurda and Nia."

"..."

No answer from the girl.

"Nia, why don't you try?" Pyra said stepping out of the way.

"O-Okay…" Nia said as she stepped up. "M-Mythra?"

"..."

"Listen, I know you're taking this hard, but it's not just your fault. It's all of ou-" Nia was cut off when the door flung open and everyone jumped a bit.

"Not my fault? Not my fault!?" Mythra said as she looked up looking exasperated. Truth be told she looked horrible. None of them slept the night before, but for Mythra it was something else. Her cheeks were puffy and red and her eyes were bloodshot. She had been crying...a lot. Her blonde hair was a mess and she was wearing her light green nightgown that had been wrinkled to hell. Behind her was her room. It was trashed. Burn marks from her own power covered the walls and furniture. Mythra didn't just look horrible, she also felt horrible.

"I'm supposed to be the strongest one here and all I could do was grab at the air when he was taken away! Once again Rex had to face danger because I was too weak! It wasn't just him this time, it was me! If I just...If I could have just been by his side or figured out that Lapis was sketchy he would still be by our side!" Mythra said with a strained voice.

"Dearie, this isn't your burden alone to deal with. It weighs on us all, but the only way to fix it is to get the boy back. Rex wouldn't like to see you like this, right?" Azurda chimed in. Mythra flinched at his words. He was right. Rex would probably give her a hug right now and then become all flustered trying to calm her. The image brought a small smile to her face, but was gone fast after she remembered why he was gone.

"Why...why is this affecting you so much Mythra?" Pyra asked gently.

"This…" Mythra held out her hand to show the girls a ring with a yellowish emerald in it.

"What's that?" Nia said crossing her arms.

"It's...it's...it's what Rex was going to use to propose to me…at least I think…"

Nia and Pyra felt their eyes widen. There was no way! They both knew that Rex had a bigger feeling of affection for Pyra yet he still chose Mythra?! What could they do? There hearts were hurting, but their mental states were saved by Mythra.

"It wasn't just me either...Rex bought us all rings. He was going to marry the three of us." Mythra said as she held out two other boxes. Pyra and Nia felt a sigh of relief wash over them, but then suddenly felt flustered and excited at the same time as they snatched the boxes out of Mythra's hands. They pocketed them not wanting to ruin the surprise for when Rex actually popped the question.

"So when he said he would choose all of us, he wasn't lying eh?" Nia said as she gave a small smile. The other two girls nodded in agreement.

"I'm happy for you all, but there will be no wedding for my grandson if we don't save the groom. Now Mythra...why don't you get dressed and come down to the meeting? We need all of the help we can get. Rest up as well dearie we'll need you at 100%. Rex will need you at 100%." Azurda said as he flew off with Nia and Pyra in tow as they waved to their friend and sister respectively.

"R-right…" Mythra said as she closed her door and leaned her back against it.

'Rex...I know I'm acting selfishly, but I...I can't do this without you!'

Mythra thought as she sunk to her knees. However, in the darkness of her room one thing shimmered out. The emerald on her ring gave her a renewed hope.

'Rex! I won't keep you waiting any longer! I'll save and kick the enemies ass!'

Mythra thought as she transformed back into her usual garb and began to comb her hair.

'Rex...I'm coming!'
