A/N: Sorry, I started and finished a short story in the time I've written my last chapter. It's been crazy since we started this project of a compilation of short stories for Werewolf Romance's. I have a few other stories that might take me a while since I have to actually go to a big city just to get to my all time favorite library that has tomes on Ancient Egyptology. Lunacom: Okay first off, this review made me laugh at how you put it. Sorry, but just pay attention to what you wrote and then you will see what I'm saying. As for how Naruto is, you know there are those that are born with both sex organs right? Well, that is what Naruto is. In most cases their body tends to go more to one side than the other that is why I had Naruto become girlish. Just because she has tits and a vag doesn't mean she doesn't have the other works as well. They will be less prominent than a normally sized male would be, though. I hope that will explain it to you better.
Kyekye: Yeah, a lot has been going on so they haven't been out like I would hope. I just enjoy seeing the reactions that everyone gets' when I update.
Chapter Twenty-One
Everyone's eyes widen and smiles pop up on their faces when they saw Naruto rushing Neji from both sides. 'Yes!' Naruto's mouth quirks at the corners. 'Too soon to celebrate, kit.' Kyuubi says as she stays alert inside of the girl. "Huh!?" Naruto's eyes widen when she notices that her fist was caught by a Chakra barrier around Neji. The teen smirks and activates his own technique, one that spins himself around and deflects both Naruto and her clone. The clone disappears while Naruto slides on the ground. Naruto winces while looking at the teen that is no longer spinning. 'What…was that?!' Naruto wonders.
"You thought…you had won?" Neji asks as he lifts his smirking face to look at Naruto. The girls' eyes widen.
'How can it be…' Hiashi wonders as he looks at his nephew.
"What the?! Naruto's punch should have connected!" Sakura says while watching on with wide eyes.
'That was…' Hinata's eyes showed her worry as she coughs.
'…Kaiten…the Heavenly Spin…' Hiashi thinks while analyzing his nephew with narrowed eyes.
'That's Neji's defense…' Tenten chuckles. Naruto's eyes showed a red infusing into them.
'He broke the rule again, kit!' As she hears Kyuubi she bares her teeth at the teen. Gaara glares down at the boy, gritting his teeth about the fact that he has hurt the girl even if it is just a little bit.
"Father, that's your…" Hanabi stops herself as she notices the clenched fist on her father's lap.
"Kaiten is the Hyuga main family's…basically, it's a special technique only passed down to the heirs of the Hyuga house." He grits his teeth in anger. 'To master it on his own…what a guy…to be this good…' Hiashi's eyes widen as he noticed Naruto's eyes reddening. "He broke the rule again, another punishment will befall him and this time it is worse."
'Don't be surprised just yet. Neji's true power is just beginning.' Tenten smirks.
"Damn!" Naruto gently wipes her face where she was hit while glaring at the teen, the red is like clouds circling the outside layer of her irises, making it seem like she has smoke clouds inside of them. "You enjoy breaking rules, don't you?" She growls out.
"It's over…you are within the field of my Hakke." Neji says ignoring what Naruto said. He closes his eyes and went into stance. "Gentle Fist Style, 64 Hands of Hakke."
'That stance…it can't be...' Hiashi's jaw drops a little and Neji starts hitting ever pressure point he could on Naruto's body. The fact that he never notices that there is a red Chakra healing it as soon as he hits it makes Hiashi realize he is still a novice in this style. 'A branch house member…surpassing the main family…' He observes as Naruto's body hits the ground making the clan's entire gasp out in horror that this boy would even break a rule but to the heir as well.
"That's it." The moderator says while watching on with a dango stick poking through his lips.
'What natural talent…for the brilliant blood of the Hyuga to be flowing within a child who cannot become an heir…Hizashi…the Hyuga house was as you…' Hiashi stops his thoughts as he bitterly looks down at the boy that has no honor for their clan.
"I have hit 64 points on your body, you can no longer stand." Neji says while Naruto groans as her form is still in a ball. "Heh…is it painful? Stay on your knees before a power you cannot change and realize your worthlessness. Having your dreams come true through hard work…is an illusion."
"Hey Hinata, are you alright?!" Kiba asks the girl as she suddenly has a coughing fit.
'Na…Naruto-chan…!' She tries to control her coughing.
'Naruto…' Sakura watches on.
'Ouch! I knew it.' Ino winces as she covers her face.
'Damn it…damn it…' Naruto's body shakes as a small layer of red Chakra covers her body making her seem like she is glowing a little bit. Everyone is staring at the girl making Neji realize something is different.
"What…?" He stares at the girls shaking form as she stands up.
"I told you…I'm not good at giving up…!" Says as she grins at the boy.
'This girl…impossible…' Neji's eyes survey her.
"Hey! You're bleeding!" Kiba cries out as he grabs her shoulders.
'No…Naruto…no more…' She weakly cries out inside of her head.
"The damage from your fight hasn't healed yet…! Hey! Hinata!" Kiba shouts.
"What's wrong?!" One of the Chuunin around them asks.
"I'll take a look…" An ANBU says making Kiba spin around quickly.
"Who are you?" The teen asks.
"Well…I'm no one suspicious." The man says.
"Quit already…continuing won't change anything. I have no grudge against you…" Neji tells the girl.
"S…shut up! Well…I do!" Naruto shouts at him.
"What do you mean?" The teen asks taken aback by what she screams at him.
"Why…why, if you're this strong…why, with those eyes that you can see everything…did you mentally attack Hinata, who was trying so hard?" She grits out.
"That's none of your business." Neji says while narrowing his eyes to look at the girl.
"Insulting Hinata, automatically deciding she's a loser! Main family…branch family…I don't know what the hell happened...my family isn't like this…we care greatly for those in the branch families…even to help them make themselves stronger…pieces of shit like you who call other people losers…I will never forgive!" She growls out at him.
"Alright…fine…if you're gonna go that far, then I'll tell you…the Hyuga's destiny of hatred…I'll tell you…" Neji activates the Byakugan again. "The Hyuga destiny of hatred."
"Hey…!" Kiba growls at the ANBU who is waving a Chakra covered hand over Hinata.
"Don't worry, I'm a doctor…" The man tells him.
"The Hyuga main family has a special Ninjutsu that's been passed down…it's a…curse seal Jutsu…" Neji tells the girl.
"Curse seal Jutsu?" Naruto's wide eyes look at him since she knows what curse seals can do, the Uzumaki's are well known for the curse seals since they have been creating them for years.
"The curse of the mark represents "a bird in a cage." It is…the symbol of being tied down to inescapable destiny." Neji says as he unties his forehead protector and takes it off showing the seal on his forehead.
"W…what?" Naruto looks at the binding curse on the teens head and recognizes the seal. The seal is one of many and the Hyuga's aren't the only clan to use this one. "I thought they did away with this kind of seal since it is inhuman. That mark is…"
"One day when I was four…I had this horrible seal carved into my forehead through that curse seal Jutsu. That day, a grand ceremony was taking place in the leaf. A Shinobi leader from the cloud country, which had been warring with the leaf for many years, had arrived to sign an alliance treaty. But at this ceremony which everyone attended, from Jounin to Genin…one clan was missing. That was the Hyuga clan. Because that was the important day that the Hyuga heir turned three." As he explained Naruto's eyes widened when she realized he was talking about Hinata. "Hinata-sama's third birthday." Neji looks up at his uncle with fury and hate in his eyes. "My father, Hyuga Hizashi, and Hinata-sama's father over there…Hyuga Hiashi-sama, were twins. But Hinata-sama's father, Hiashi-sama, was born to this world first…a member of the main family and my father, the second son, became a member of a branch family." He thought back to that day and remembered everything. "When the Hyuga first daughter grew and became three…I was turned into "the bird in the cage," through this curse. As a Hyuga branch family member."
"Why…is that necessary…?" Naruto grits out since she knows that in her family the only way to get that mark would be to betray a family member, in the branch family, but to get to the branch you have to betray or break clan rules. "Why do you need that mark to distinguish the main and the branch families? We only have that mark for those in the branch family who betray our clan."
"This mark on my forehead is not simply a decoration." Neji says.
"I know, you forget that I'm in two different clans. So that mark isn't all that foreign to me. The main families control the branch families with that mark so they do not step out of bounds. It saps all of the Chakra from the bearer's body and leaves them immobile on the ground wishing they were dead. My cousin has this mark, because he was told by someone that I shouldn't be in the main family since no person should belong to two clans. He attacked me when I was six and now he is to never leave the branch Uzumaki grounds." Naruto stops him and shows her remorse even though she shouldn't feel any. "I read up all on seals, you forget who my family are."
"You don't belong to a clan, why the hell do you keep saying that?" Neji growls at her getting aggravated. In the stands the heads of the other clans shake their heads at the teen who doesn't realize the girl he is facing isn't just some nobody.
"I'm Uzumaki Naruto, daughter of the heir of the Namekaze clan's heir and daughter of the Uzumaki clan's heir. My parents were Namekaze Minato and Uzumaki Kushina. Both being heirs of their clans." At these words Neji's eyes widen and he looks at the girl in fear. She comes from two of the oldest clans that control Jutsu's not only from space and time but demon sealing and manipulation.
"I do not believe you are the heir to both prestigious families. There is no way you could be and still be treated like this by the villagers. Your clan should have an effective system like the Hyuga's and protect you. The advanced Byakugan blood is one that protects the Hyuga." He looks at the girl who is standing firm now. "That is still no reason for me to not hate the main family though. They are the reason that incident occurred…" He stops and chuckles which puts Naruto on edge. "My father was killed by the main family." Naruto's eyes widen. "One night…Hinata-sama was taken by someone. Then, Hiashi-sama quickly took care of it. And killed him. It was dark, and he was wearing a mask…who do you think it was?" He paused and looked down at the ground. "He was…he was the Cloud country Shinobi leader…who had just signed the alliance treaty. It became clear that he was here after the Hyuga secrets from the beginning…but the Cloud country, with one of their leaders killed in the failed plan…made demands of the Leaf for breaking the alliance. Of course, the Leaf and Cloud bickered back and forth…it almost came to war. But with the Leaf wanting to avoid war…they made a backdoor deal with the Cloud."
"Deal?" Naruto wonders.
"The Cloud wanted the Hyuga main family's advanced blood and the Byakugan…they demanded the corpse of Hiashi-sama. And the Leaf agreed to their wishes." Neji narrows his eyes.
'Huh? But father is…' Hanabi thinks as she looks at her father who has his eyes closed.
"And war was safely avoided. Thanks to my Dad…who was killed by the main family to replace Hyuga Hiashi's corpse." Naruto's eyes widen as Neji's lips lifted in a sneer as he chuckles coldly. "To escape this horrible curse…there's no method but death." With this everyone's eyes widen in the stands. "They were twins, their strength was virtually the same…born first…born second…destiny was decided just by that. And this fight…your destiny was decided…the moment I became your opponent. Your destiny is to lose to me, there's no doubt."
"We won't know until it's over!" She growls out as her tired eyes become brighter as they shone. "I don't know how much it hurt that your dad was killed a long time ago, but…thinking that destiny is all decided because of that is a huge mistake! You are forgetting that you aren't the only one who does have ties to a strong clan; you think you are the only one who lost a parent? I lost both!"
"You're hopeless…" Neji says as he ties his protector back onto his head. He activates his Byakugan suddenly and starts running to attack Naruto whose eyes widen. He hits the girl straight on the sternum and she rolls backwards head over feet until she slides to a stop with a cry. "Examiner…it's over. Heh…damn loser…" He grins as he turns away from the girl to start walking off.
"D…don't run away…" She says as she struggles to get up onto her feet. Neji turns to look at her. "I won't run…cough…I don't go back on my word…"
"Heh…I've heard that before…" He says with a smirk on his face.
"There's…no way I'll lose…to a coward who's always whining about destiny." Naruto says as she shows everyone her beaten face.
'Naruto…' Sakura's jaw drops.
"People are born burdened with a destiny they cannot oppose. You could never understand what it's like to be burdened with a symbol you could never rid yourself of!" Neji shouts as he points to the girl. Naruto thinks of the Kyuubi and realizes that in a way having the beast inside of her can be a burden and the symbol that comes with the seal will always be there. She smirks at the boy.
"Yeah…I can…" Her lips turn up in a grin. "And…? So what?" To her the Kyuubi isn't a burden; she is more family than anything.
'She…' Neji wonders why she says this. There is no way she could know about something like this.
"Pft…! Stop acting cool…you're not the only one that's special…! Hinata too…she's suffered as much as you! A member of the main family…but not acknowledged. Trying her best to change herself…thinking that as she was coughing blood while fighting you! You're the same! The branch family is supposed to protect the main family, yet doing that to Hinata…in truth, you are trying your hardest to disobey destiny…" Naruto coughs up blood since her lungs are damaged and the Kyuubi is still working hard on healing the girl.
"Heh…your 64 opening points are closed…you won't be able to use Chakra for a while, how can you fight…?" Neji asks with a smirk. "In the end, you and Hinata-sama share the same destiny!"
"Shut up! Stop using that Byakugan to decide and act like you know everyone's destiny!" Naruto bites out.
"Then prove to me that what you are saying is correct…" Neji says.
"Yeah! I'm definitely going to defeat you…and prove that!" Naruto looks at him, her brows furrowing. 'Damn it! But I can't feel any Chakra…! Feels like when I used it all up during the training…! Ah…!' She remembers what Jiraiya said to her about her two Chakra's hers and Kyuubi's. 'Yeah…the nine-tails Chakra…' She closes her eyes trying to contact her beast. 'Stupid fox…lend me your power…!'
"Enough talking. Examiner…I'm going to go at her intending to kill! If you want to stop it then go ahead." Neji tells the man who snorts at the boy, knowing that Naruto is much stronger than this boy can take out. The girl screams out as she starts gathering the Chakra deep inside of her that Kyuubi is threading through her veins.
'I can't lose this time! You're going down!' She shouts out inside of her brain.
"It's useless…your points have been pressed." Neji smirks out as he looks at the girl.
'I must…' Naruto concentrates fully on the Chakra.
"Can I ask you one thing…? Why do you go against your destiny so much?" Neji asks her.
"Because…I was called a loser." Naruto asks her and she starts boosting the Chakra up. As soon as she does this Kyuubi kicks in the healing agent she loves using on her so much.
'Im…impossible…Chakra is flowing out…what's going on…?' Neji's eyes widen comically as he watches with the Byakugan as the Chakra is released from the spiral prison of the Kyuubi's. It fills every single Chakra network in the girl's body. 'Who…' He continues to look at the Chakra and at this point Kyuubi decides to have fun with the boy and makes her Chakra form into a visage of her. 'Is she?'
'No way…this Chakra is…' Hiashi starts wondering about the girl again.
'It…it can't be…' Tenten's face is full of shock.
"Impossible! Her opening points have been pressed!" One of the Chuunin guards say as he watches on. Gaara is shaken up since the feeling he is usually haves with just his beast is flowing through him from the girls Chakra.
'The feelings of this Chakra…it is definitely the nine-tails…when did she learn…!' Sarutobi wonders as he looks down at the girl who he feels is like a grandchild to him. Naruto releases some of the Chakra and it whips around her like the Kyuubi's tails.
"Here I come!" The girl warns Neji who is holding a hand in front of him blocking the dirt from flying into his eyes. Her Chakra whipped out and smacked at the area around the boy.
'It's wrapping around her…what is that…? That's Chakra?' Neji wonders and cries out as he got hit by a small rock. The Chakra calmed down since Kyuubi thinks that is enough showing off. It wafts around like a puff of steam.
'Incredible power. Like during the training…but more!' Naruto thought as her whole body is rejuvenated and healed. Her eyes narrow on the teen boy and she disappears. She's up in the air while Neji is trying to figure out where she is, she pulls Shuriken out of her pouch and throws them at him. Neji pulls out his all defense spin and the stars bounced off, swirling in the wind that he created he decides to grab them. He turns to see her above him glued to the wall with Kyuubi's Chakra and he throws the stars to which she dodges with no amount of slowing down.
'Her speed has increased?! What is going on?' He wonders and takes out a Kunai while she does the same. They throw it at each other while they take off rushing towards each other. Their Kunai's deflect off of each other and seconds later they hit each other parrying blows then sliding on the ground to a stop.
"Hey! You're confident in close combat, right?!" Neji's eyes narrow slightly as the girl rushes to him and she thinks back to what he said about her becoming Hokage. She realizes that this boy doesn't really know who she is, and she is determined to show him. "I don't know about this Hyuga destiny of hatred or whatever…but if it's too much for you, then you don't have to do anything anymore."
'Oh no…Kaiten…' Neji thought as Naruto got closer.
"When I become Hokage…I'll change the Hyuga!" She draws back and releases a punch straight at the Hyuga with Chakra behind its power. This caused dust and debris to float around while everyone is watching the fight in shock.
'What Chakra, that shrimp released some crazy power…that Hyuga kid must be…' The moderator thought as he chewed on his grass stalk while watching on. When the dust is cleared there looks to be two small craters in the ground.
"Hey, which is Naruto?!" Sakura shouts out.
"I don't know either!" Ino asks. The moderator walks closer just as a hand pops up to grab the top of the crater. Neji lifts himself out of the dip in the dirt ground coughing, making Tenten sigh in relief. He starts walking towards Naruto who is lying inside of her crater, panting the whole way there.
'Neji's "Kaiten" is a technique that knocks away the opponent's Chakra. By being the one who was advancing, it looks like Naruto suffered the greater amount of damage. There is no Genin that can defeat Neji…but you were incredible, Naruto, to push Neji this much…' Tenten thought as she watched on.
"Loser…sorry, but…this is reality." Neji stops when he feels the ground shifting underneath him and earth flying up. He looks down only to receive a fist straight to his chin, causing blood to spray out of his mouth. Naruto stands there panting while blood drips from her finger tips from digging through all of the dirt. "Guh…my body…" In the crater where Naruto clone was it poofed away.
'Even when injured, to believe in victory and think ahead…the power to believe in yourself…that becomes the power that changes destiny. She understands that…and it comes naturally to her…' The moderator thought as he smiles at the girl.
"Ugh…to quickly use Kage Bunshin in that situation…your main Ninjutsu, eh? How careless of me…" Neji says as he looks up at the blond staring down at him.
"I failed the academy graduation exam 3 times…" Naruto says while holding a sad look in her eyes as Neji looks at her with confused eyes. "That's because, unluckily for me, the Ninjutsu test on the final exam was always decided as…always decided as my weakest Ninjutsu. They didn't realize I made an agreement before entering the academy, to not show what I really am. So, I appeared to everyone as if I were a boy, by using Genjutsu that my clan's tutors have taught me on request by Sarutobi. Even though they believe that it was wrong of them I still agreed with it and perfected my Genjutsu just to enter. The Bunshin no Jutsu…was my worst Ninjutsu. Destiny can't be changed, blah blah. Stop whining about stupid crap like that. Since…you're not a loser like me."
"Winner Uzumaki Naruto!" The moderator shouts out to the crowd. The audience bursts out in cheers and clapping. Naruto just throws a peace sign to the crowd and starts giggling. 'Still has energy to run around. Geez…what a stamina freak…' He watches as she runs around cheering for herself.
'Naruto is getting stronger and stronger…' Sakura thought as she looked down at the pig tailed girl.
"That kid's great." A woman says to her friend sitting next to her.
"Yeah, she's gonna go far." He friend replies and Sakura sighs.
'I'm kind of jealous of you…when I watch you fight; I feel like I have to try harder…that's an incredible thing…' She thought while watching the girl blowing kisses to the crowd.
"What's wrong, Sakura?" Ino asks her.
"Oh, nothing." She waves her best friend off.
"Whoa! She won! Seriously? I had assumed she was a lameass-type like me…" Shika says as he stares down at the girl in the ring.
"Lameass-type?" Shino asks him.
"Everyone's cheering her; she's totally a kickass-type. Plus, I probably can't beat her, how depressing…" He looks down at the girl and nodded to her.
"To pull out the nine-tails Chakra without losing herself…" Kuranai says while standing besides Asuma.
"Yeah…most of the Leaf here is surprised." He tells her.
'Naruto…to be able to use the Nine-tails power…and to control it in a stable state…since when could she…? Did Kakashi teach him this?' Sarutobi wonders.
'Where is Hinata? Is she watching?' Naruto wonders as she looks for her best friend.
"Heh…even a captured bird…if it's clever enough, will try to open the cage with its beak. Never giving up its desire to freely fly in the sky. This time, you have lost." The moderator tells Neji as Medical Core comes straight for the teen.
'Father…' Hanabi wonders what is going through the man's head as he watches the people in the ring.
