A/N: I hope to see that you all love the last five installments. This is the last one for a little bit, but don't worry, it shouldn't take too long to get the mini book done up and for me to figure out what other story I will be writing next. I'm thinking of completing one of my other two that is in progress right now so I am just battling myself which I will start back to working. Chapter Twenty-Five
Pakkun sniffs again and turns to look at Naruto over his shoulder. "Sasuke's movement has stopped…there's still a little ways to go but…!"
"Alright!" Naruto smirks.
'What is this…this clump of numerous scents…this is…' Pakkun stiffens and looks at the girls. "There's someone else besides us chasing Sasuke!"
"What!?" Naruto shouts out.
"Is it the enemy?! Or an ally?!" Sakura asks.
"I don't know…only…" He pauses making Naruto glare at him. "It's not human!"

Naruto came up and saw Sasuke still laying on the thick branch and the black marks that are now slowly moving from the mark on his neck. Her eyes narrow when she saw Gaara's deformed body rushing towards her boyfriend and she quickly moved in front of Sasuke to throw a kick straight at the red heads face, knocking him back. The teen slides across the branch opposite of them to a dead stop while Naruto lands on the thin outer branches of the limb that Sasuke is laying on. Sakura finally reached the boy and she checks to see if he is alright. 'We were a little too late it seems…' Pakkun thought as he looked down at the groaning black haired teen.
"…they are…" Temari stops what she was going to say.
"You two…" Sasuke groans out.
'T-this is…' Sakura starts sweating more when she saw the mark spreading. 'He must've fought out of control…like that time!' Sakura thought as she put her hand on the boys shaking back. "But Kakashi-sensei said the mark was taken care of!"
"Sa-…Sakura-chan…Sakura-chan!" Naruto squeaks out as she looks at Gaara.
"What is it!?" Sakura bites out at the girl.
"Is…is that who I think it is!?" Naruto asks as she points to the misshapen form of the red head. Sakura just glares at her.
"Although his figure has been transformed…he's the one named Gaara!" Pakkun says as he sniffs the area.
"He…attacked Sasuke-kun…" Sakura says while staring at the writhing teen. Naruto thought back at what Gaara told her in the hospital when he almost succeeded in attacking Lee.
'So…that thing is it…?' Naruto thought as she wondered if that is the beast inside of the boy.
'Not completely, kit. That thing hasn't gotten full control so he is in between forms, for now.'Kyuubi informs her.
"Mind you I'm not a battle-type!" Pakkun tells Sakura.
"I can tell!" She yells at the dog. 'Anyway, we have to somehow lose them…and take Sasuke-kun to Kakashi-sensei as soon as possible…!' She watches as blood dribbles out of Sasuke's mouth.
'I have to control this…' Sasuke winces and thinks back to what Kakashi told him about the seal. He cries out as it shoots pain through his body.
"Sasuke-kun!" Sakura gets closer to him and Naruto looks at them over her shoulder.
"You…you're the one I failed to kill that time."Gaara bites out while looking at the girl. Naruto readies herself and spins to warn the others.
"You guys! Get away!" When she says this Gaara shoots past her trying to get to her teammates.
"Die! Uchiha Sasuke!" Gaara shouts out as he gets closer. Sakura stands guard over Sasuke with one of her Kunai at the ready.
"Sakura-chan!" Naruto screams out not wanting the girl to get hurt. Gaara's deformed claws grab a hold of the girl and pins her to the tree. Her impact makes her head bounce and a cry rip from her lips. Gaara winces out and grunts from the pain in his head. Naruto took this time to grab her boyfriend and bring him to a branch further from the red head. "Sakura-chan!"
'She held her ground against Gaara even in his current state…' Temari watches on with wide eyes.
'Damnit! Damnit! What are we supposed to do!?' Naruto wonders as she looks down at Sasuke. 'Anyone but him…' Naruto looks at the red head. 'He's like me, isn't he?'
'Not quite, kit. They used a different method to seal this one inside of this boy. I believe you both have gotten your beasts around the same time, but different ways. His was by invitro and yours was after birth.'Kyuubi says while observing everything from her cage inside of Naruto.
"Why…?" Gaara bites out while holding his throbbing head as he remembers the looks in people's eyes. Flashbacks kept on going through his head about his uncle. "What's the matter…? Weren't you gonna retreat?" Gaara goads.
"Sasuke-kun…" Sakura mumbles. "Naruto…"
"What do they mean to you?" Gaara asks her.
"T-they are my friends! Well, she is, he is my boyfriend! Leave them alone, or else! I'll kick your ass!" Naruto says while pointing at the teen. Gaara clenches his teeth and tightens the sand around Sakura causing her to cry out in pain.
"Now what? Aren't you gonna kick my ass?" Gaara asks.
"Bring it on." Naruto says as she glares at him. "Damn you!" Naruto jumps over Sasuke's form and goes straight for Gaara. When the girl reaches him a tail comes out and smacks her past the branch she was standing on. "Shit!" Naruto says while looking at the boy. She looks at Sasuke and saw the markings. 'He's not acting like himself…the seal marks are spreading as well. Did…something happen…between the two? Anyways…I have to save Sakura-chan! But how!?' She wonders and stands up. 'I know…I've got no other choice…although it'll drain me of so much Chakra…I must summon Gama the boss!' She forms the seals and slams her hand down on the branch. "Summoning no Jutsu!" She looked under her hand and saw a tiny frog. Gaara's eyes widen.
"What the! It's only a kid! Gimme snacks if you wanna ask a favor! Otherwise, I won't play with you!" The little frog tells her.
"Well, you know what!? I hate you frogs altogether!" She shouts at the little guy.
"What's that!? Don't you dare take this amphibian for a fool!" The little frog shouts back.
"Wait…I haven't got the time to play with you, you wart-face!" She growls out and looks at Sakura who is bleeding from her mouth. She looks down at her hand. 'Dammit! Why…after all the training I went through…It's no use…'
"Friends…? You make me laugh…I fight for my sake only!" Gaara shouts as he starts transforming his upper body into the Shukaku spirit.
'He…transformed even further…' Naruto's eyes widen and Kyuubi chuckles.
'You think you won't when you transform into me? You will have more like levels, not like his where he gradually gets more and more.' Kyuubi shook her head at Shukaku. Gaara detached the sand arm from the hand that is holding Sakura to a tree.
"She won't be released from the sand unless you beat me. Not only that, it'll get tighter and tighter as time passes and eventually kill her." Gaara says while a new claw appears.
'Sakura-chan.' Naruto looks at the girl as she grits her teeth.
'At this rate, even I will be…he's getting closer to the fully transformed form…although Tanuki-neiri no Jutsu hasn't been activated yet…' Temari says while watching her little brother.
'Those eyes…' Naruto narrows her eyes even further as she watched the beast before her.
"Sand Shuriken!" Gaara threw them straight at the girl who quickly grabs the young toad and turns around to take the brunt of the hit. Sasuke grunts out as he struggles to move his body, wanting to go and protect his girlfriend more than anything right about now. Naruto grunts as her body hits a branch when she lands.
"Girl, you're weak." The little toad says.
"Guh, shuddup!" The girl winces as her face is smooshed into the bark of the tree. 'Damnit!...why this lil-toad?'
"But what is he?" The toad asks.
'Wha…what sad eyes…very lonely eyes…' Naruto thought as she looked at Gaara's eyes and remembers that is how she felt. 'Him…and a monster…just like me…I loathed everyone…I couldn't understand who I was or why I existed as a hated being…Since I learned Nine-tails exists within me, the villagers seemed to look at me with eyes colder than ever…It was so painful…But…now I have people that acknowledge me…that's why…I can be unconcerned about being possessed or being treated coldly by the villagers. Because…I'm not alone anymore! I had no idea how happy that would make me…I felt blessed from the bottom of my heart…I am allowed to be here…knowing that I do exist, makes me feel relieved. That's why it kills me to think about how it used to be…that pain is not usual…its pitch black hell. If…if I were still alone…For this reason I can sympathize. To them, I am only a relic of the past they want to exterminate. Then, why do I exist and continue living? I came to a conclusion. "I exist to kill all other humans other than myself." I don't know what happened…but he's been suffering from loneliness…Not knowing how it is like to be relieved…He can trust only himself…he continues fighting in the hell…Even till this day…I have people that acknowledge me compared with him…I'm probably a weakling living in a happy, tension-free world…Do I really have a chance against someone like him…?' Naruto is buried in her deep thoughts until the sand claw tightens around Sakura, ripping a cry from her lips. Naruto growls out.
"What's wrong…afraid of me?" Gaara goads. "To fight for yourself…or to fight for others…Just love yourself! Fight only for your sake! These define the strongest!" When he says this Naruto looks at him with pity in her eyes. "C'mon! Fight me! Show your powers like the time you defeated that Hyuga! I will crush those powers!" He clenches his claws. "Well!? C'mon! I'll kill the girl if you don't fight me!" Naruto clenches her eyes shut then starts running to attack him.
"Damn you!" She starts forming signs left and right. "Kage Bunshin no Jutsu!" She forms about ten clones and they all try to attack Gaara. The bulky form takes in a deep breath and blows it right at the clones.
"Mugensajin Daitopa!" The power of the blast knocked Naruto into a tree and blew debris around making clouds of dust appear.
'He…really kicked my ass…' Naruto groans out as she lays there.
"I won't kill you for now. I'll play with you. I wonder when you'll give up your comrades and run off to save your ass. Not that I'll let you get away." Gaara says and watches as the girl gets up. He shoots more sand Shuriken at her; it hits her dead on and slams her back against the tree. Her body is crying out in pain.
'But…what is it…' Naruto wonders.
"This is only the beginning!" Gaara tells her, and continuously starts hitting her and knocking her around with the Shuriken.
'What is this feeling…' Naruto wonders as she looks deeper into herself.
"Shit…Sand Shuriken!" Gaara says and sends more Shuriken her way knocking her back and making her cry out.
"Damn…it…" She grunts as her body is shaking. 'Damnit…'
"She's…" Gaara tries to look into the girls eyes, while everyone else watching is confused with the girls' actions. Why is it she is just letting him hit her over and over.
'What is this…raging feelings that wells me up…' Naruto thought as she slowly gets onto her feet. "For some reason…to him…anyone but to him…" She turns her now red lined eyes to the beast. 'I don't want to lose even if I die!'
'The look in her eyes changed…!?' Gaara wonders while Naruto digs in her pouch. Sakura twitches and groans causing the blonds eyes to flash over to her.
'Sakura-chan…' She looked pale.
"Hey!? What's wrong? You came chasing me all the way here…and this is all you can do?" Gaara says while Naruto takes out a Kunai and an explosive note. Wrapping the note around the Kunai she tries to keep herself calm and collective.
'Don't know what I can do but I'm gonna give it my best shot!' She thinks while forming signs. "Kage Bunshin no Jutsu!" She forms four clones, two on each side of her. "Here I go! Brand new advanced Taijutsu technique! Uzumaki Naruto: Clone Body Slam!" While they are in the air Gaara looks up at them and grabs three of the clones. "Do it now!" Naruto screams and one of her clones grabs her jacket around the neckline and throws her.
"Again!" Gaara tries grabbing for her and the girl speedily forms signs while she is flying quickly towards the beast.
"Kage Bunshin no Jutsu!" She forms more clones to take her place and starts spinning around behind the beast. "Once more! Kage Bunshin no Jutsu!" Forming a clone so she could jump off of her. "Hidden Leaf Ancient Taijutsu Supreme Technique!" She grins and thought of when she learned it from Kakashi. "1000 years of pain!" She stabs him right in the ass with the Kunai and Gaara is looking at her with an incredulous look on his face. Like he couldn't believe she has just done that. He swats her right on the face knocking her into the trees, while the Kunai is starting to smoke drawing his attention to it. "Boom!" Naruto says while smirking and the note sets off blowing up. Before she could hit a tree head on Sasuke catches her in his arms.
'That was some fine techniques…and that Sasuke…Shielding her even though his body is like that…' Pakkun thought while he watches on.
'Ga…Gaara…' Temari looks at the area where Gaara should be.
'Is…is it…over?' The little toad wonders while peaking right out from underneath his flippers. The dust started clearing up revealing Gaara in his now blown up form. Part of his face took damage and most of his backside has as well.
'Aghh…who'd've known she'd go after the weak point hidden by the tail…I wasn't injured, but look what she did to my body…'Gaara thought as he looked himself over.
"Sasuke…!" Naruto looks at him.
"Finally decided to go back to your normal self? Even after all that, you only managed one blow…shape up will you…" Sasuke says lowly to her, trying to get her to take this fight seriously. "I can't save you this time, like I did in wave country…you dim wit…" Granted his words are cruel but you could see the worry for the girl in his eyes.
"Shaddap, will you…" Naruto glares at him and he smirks while running a finger over her cheek.
'Seems like I underestimated her a little…' Gaara thought as the sand continued to pour from the damage he took. "Oh well, I'll just end it here…"
"Hey…Naruto…" Sasuke says to get the girls attention. "Sakura…you have to save her no matter what…" The girls' eyes widen trying to figure out what Sasuke is saying. "I know you can save her…Once you've got her…carry her, and run…as far…and as fast…that you can…"
"Sasuke…" She tries to stop him.
"If it's just for a while, I'll be able to hold him in place…" Sasuke says as he puts his hand on the branch below him to stand up. 'If I end up dying, it just means that I was at the end of my limits…'
"You…" Naruto stares at him closely.
"Never again. I already lost everything once before…I don't ever want to watch those dear to me die before my eyes again…" Naruto's eyes then widen.
"I get it…yeah…that's right…Because he was like me…because he lived feeling the same kind of loneliness and sadness I did…I thought he was strong 'cause he survived that solitude, fighting only for himself…" Naruto looks down as a pity-filled smile works its way on her lips.
'Naruto…' Sasuke looks at her with pain in his eyes as he realizes how she feels.
"But I was wrong…his strength isn't real…strength doesn't come from fighting alone…Real strength is not what you have when fighting for only yourself…" She thinks of all those that she has met like Haku, and Iruka. 'When you have something special that you want to protect…only then can you become truly strong!' Naruto narrows her eyes and her face becomes almost completely emotionless while she starts forming signs.
"Naruto…" Sasuke's eyes widen and Gaara who is almost completely finished repairing the damage the note done to his body.
'You can become truly strong.' She boosts up her Chakra making the dust fly and wind pick up around her.
'What the…I don't believe the amount of Chakra she's gathering! Is…is this really…Naruto!?' Sasuke wonders.
"I will protect them, no matter what! Full Power Kage Bunshin no Jutsu!" A hundred clones pop up spread out facing Gaara. Everyone around them is shocked not believing that this small girl has that much Chakra to be able to do this.
"She's pretty good, this girl!" The little toad says while smirking.
"Sorry to have kept you waiting! Well, are you ready!? I'm gonna start the "Naruto Ninja Scrolls" now!" As she says this all the clones start sporting smirks down at the beast.
"Wha…what's this…the multitude of clones!?" Gaara asks as he looks around.
"Wh…what is this?!" Temari asks.
"This…this is incredible…" Pakkun says.
"You…this…" Sasuke looks at the girl speechless.
"Sasuke, you take it easy…You just leave the rest up to me, Uzumaki Naruto!" She says while not taking her eyes off of the beast.
'She's…' Sasuke couldn't figure out what is going on.
"Alright! Everybody! Let's go!" She shouts and raises her hand up in the air.
'This…can't be Naruto…' Sasuke continues to look on with wide eyes.
"Jump!" Naruto says while waving on the army of her clones. Every single one of the clones rush towards the beast.
'My body still can't move after that attack yet…it can't be helped, I'll have to guard with the sand!'Gaara looks up at the multiple clones heading his way.
"Shiho Hapou Shuriken no Maki!" Naruto's clones bring out tons of Shuriken and throwing them making them rain down on the beast. "U! Zu! Ma! Ki!" A few of the clones kick him up into the air. "Naruto Nisen Rendan!" Pelting him with thousand of hits the beasts' body is continuously losing its protective sand. "No Maki!" With the last hit Gaara flies off and slams into the ground.
"Ugh…this girl…who the hell is she…all of a sudden…" Gaara bites out as he lays there.
"Urraaa! That ain't all I got! Here's some more! This time I'll use both my feet and…I'll go with a Yonsen Rendan!" Naruto yells out as all of her clones follow her to continue on their attack.
'It can't be…when Gaara's in that state…' Temari says while her eyes widen.
'How can she…' Gaara is still laying there trying to figure out how this small slip of a girl can possess so much power to do all this to him. "No way I can lose…"Gaara yells out.
'It…it can't be…it's finally here?!' Temari gasps out as she watched her little brother throw out a huge Chakra blast blowing the area up. When the dust clears the area is filled with the complete form of Shukaku standing there swinging his large tail around.
"Wha…what is that…" Sasuke mumbles looking at the enormous form.
"Wow…the enemy's pretty good too!" The little toad says.
'Fi…finally it came out…his…final form!' Temari says while looking at the Shukaku through narrowed eyes.
'This…is the monster inside of him…gigantic…' Naruto stands there looking on at the beast with her jaw dropped. What she didn't realize is there is sand creeping up on her and it is too late when it wraps around her. She cries out as she starts panicking. 'Shit…I used up all my Chakra with the Bunshin's earlier…I don't have any left…' She thought as her face is beginning to be covered by sand.
"Naruto!" Sasuke screams out while watching on as her face is covered more and more. Kyuubi ends up boosting her own Chakra to fill her channels up with her beastly Chakra. Her eyes are starting to fill up more of red and the pupil is now slitted. She takes her thumb and swipes a bit of blood from her bleeding lip before the sand could completely cover her.
"Inu, Tori, Sari, Hitsuji…" You could hear her say these words while forming the signs inside of the sand.
"Shit! My body, it…!" Sasuke says as he shakes trying to get up to go rescue his girlfriend.
"Desert Coffin!" The bulky beast says while looking down at the girl covered in sand. 'To think I was forced to use this form…but this is the end…'
'I will protect Sakura-chan!' Naruto thought while the sand starts crushing her body. "Summoning no Jutsu!" The sand explodes away from her body and another huge form is taking up space in what seems like the now crowded forest. It shows the huge form of the boss toad with Naruto standing on his head. 'No matter what!'
"What's with you…you again! Whaccha want?" Gamabunta asks the girl.
'The results of my training finally appear! Now we're talkin'!' Naruto thought with a huge grin on her face.
'That's…'Gamabunta looks over at the Shukaku. 'If I remember right…Shukaku of the sands…'
"Gamabunta! Like, fight with me, would ya! I'm counting on you, boss!" She tells the toad lord.
'Uzumaki Naruto…this girl…who is she…hahaha…she amuses me to no end…' Gaara thought as he looks over at them.
'Naruto…you…what in the world…' Sasuke wonders while looking up at his girlfriend who is talking to the toad.
"Nope!" The toad says.
"Huh?! But…like, why?!" She growls out at him. "You told Kyuubi that you would protect me last time! You being the boss who's supposed to help out those you are protecting when they are in trouble, aren't you?!" She huffs. "That's what the way of the family is…ain't it?!"
"For sure, I said I'd protect you…but…I ain't exchanged with my Sakazuki with you yet…why should I have ta do anythin' for the sake of this guy…a big pain in the butt…" He tells the girl while looking at the beast.
"But, but, but! I'm not 20 years old yet! I can't drink sake!" She whines out while the little toad hops up and jumps on top of Naruto's head. Gripping onto the pigtails on her head.
"Now, don't be sayin' that and listen to the chick, would ya! I was saved by her! Pops!" The little toad says looking up at his father.
"Huh? Pops?!" Naruto's eyes widen.
"Why are you here…Gamakichi!" Gamabunta asks the little guy.
"I was bored so I came out to play…but never mind that, that guy tried to bully me 'round!" He tells his dad.
"Say what!?" He starts drawing his blade out. "Tell you what, kid…I'll recognize you as my protectee! And, I'll show you all about the way of the family!"
"Huh? Huh? You're father and son?" Naruto asks the small toad.
"That's right!" Gamakichi says while smiling.
"It's payback time, you hoodlum!" Gamabunta says while he finished drawing out his sword. He starts moving while Naruto and his son hang on tightly. "Hold on tight now!" He starts running towards Shukaku. He swings his blade towards the beast. "Toad's blade slash!" The blade went straight through his flesh, sending his arm flying along with the Toad Boss' sword. 'What a guy…He's so tough it was all I could do complete the swing of my sword…'
'Aw…awesome.' Naruto thought as she watched the arm hit the ground with a rumble. Boss Toad lands and slides, shooting debris and a gust of wind to the bystanders watching the fight. "Hey! Hey! Boss! Sakura-chan's over there on that side so don't go that side! Lure him this way, would ya!"
"Sakura-chan?" The large toad asks.
"It's his best friend pops." He says grinning at his dad.
"We have to defeat him! Or else we can't save Sakura-chan!" Naruto said ignoring the two, they had it all wrong. She didn't want to save Sakura because she was her friend. She wasn't her best friend. Barely ever did she even like the pink haired chick. She wants to save her because she is her teammate and because Sasuke asked her to. Boss chuckles.
"You're fun! This is fun! Uzumaki Naruto!" Gaara brings his body outside on the top of the head of the beast.
"Tha…That's like…" Naruto stutters watching the boy's partially hidden form.
"So, that's the medium, huh…" Boss Toad says while glaring at him.
'Oh, shit. This is bad. Gaara…he intends to…at any rate, I have to get away from here…' Temari thought and she takes off to get as far away as she is able to.
"Thank you for keeping me entertained so far…Now I'll show you the true powers of the Sand Demon." Gaara starts forming signs and Naruto grits her teeth dreading what the teen could be up to.
"That Medium shows the signs of insomnia, from being possessed by Shukaku, eh…Take a look at those bags under his eyes. I could give him competition…" Gamabunta says.
"Insomnia!?" Naruto asks.
Those possessed by the Badger Demon, Shukaku, become such that they can't even have a single night of decent sleep. I understand it's because of the terror!" Naruto looks at him with confused eyes. "If they sleep, their personality is eaten away by Shukaku, bit by bit, until they disappear!" Naruto turns to look back at Gaara. "Because the Medium suffers from a lack of sleep, their personality tends to be unstable. But, ya know…while that Medium's normally awake, Shukaku real powers are suppressed, but…if that Medium were to fall asleep on his own then…"
"Spell of the Fake Sleep!" After Gaara casts the Jutsu his body falls limp. "Hahaha! I'm finally out! Hiyahooo~! And here's someone I wanna kill, right~~~~off! Fuuton…"
"We're gonna jump!" Boss Toad warns.
"Renkuudan!" The One tailed beast shoots air straight out of his mouth towards them.
'Water…Cannonball!' The huge Toad shoots out balls of water towards the Sand Demon.
"Renkuudan!" A shot of air hits the water and they burst making it look like it is raining.
'This fight is incredible…It's as if this were a storm…' Sasuke thought as he watched.
"This is bad, Oyabin! There's still one left!" Naruto tells the toad who looks below them at the swirling ball of air. It hit them straight on.
"Yeah! I did it! I killed him, I killed him!" The sand beast chants cheering himself on. Dust flies around and once it clears Toad is shown holding his flipper to his face.
"That hurt! You pumped so much damn Chakra into that ball you threw at me!" The toad looked pissed. "Even I can't take too many hits from those!"
"What are we suppose to do!" Naruto wonders.
"For now, rough up that Medium kid! So the spell will break!" The toad tells him.
"How!?" She asks.
"We'll get close to that stupid badger and stop him in his tracks! We'll do it when his guard is down!" The toad explains.
"I'm asking you, how exactly are we going to do that!?" Naruto asks again.
"I'm just a toad so; I don't have any fangs or claws to stop him, so…! Using the Henge no Jutsu, I'll transform into something that does! I'm no good at transforming, so! You will be my will and do the 'in' for me…I'll lend you my Chakra! It'll be a combo Henge! You're probably out of Chakra, since you summoned me!" The toad says.
'Huh!? Something with claws and fangs…' She wracked her brain. "Umm! Umm!"
'Hello? Why don't you use my form for it?' Kyuubi says to the girl.
"Here we go!" He shouts out.
"Awwww…! Man…!" She forms the seals and just went with it. There standing where they were now the Kyuubi. The fox grabs a hold of the sand beast and bites right into it.
"A fox!?" Sasuke says while trying to figure out what had happened.
"Ahahaha!" The beast laughs at them.
"Ok! Do it now!" Boss says and they went back to their original forms while Naruto is running up the sand beasts' nose to reach Gaara.
"You!" She yells out at the teen.

A/N: Sorry about this chapter taking so long. I had to do fifteen chapters just to get it even this long. I started deciding the scenes without Naruto are counted as fillers so not going to put them in there as much. Doing so made it where it takes a little longer filtering through the manga. I hope you guys have enjoy the last five installments and I will post the next ones as soon as I am able to.
