Chapter Thirty
Naruto is leaning over a little as she pants from exertion, looking at the dead tree she just practiced on. She still made the same spiral mark on it while her hand was shaking from the effort. "It's not possible! Shit! Shit! I'll do it tomorrow for sure!" Naruto whines out as she pants while lying down on the ground. Tsunade stands behind a rock watching the girl as she is so close from passing out. She thought about all of what Orochimaru said to her.
The next day showed some progress as she forms the Chakra balls and it no longer is just a spiral mark on the tree. 'So, in this third stage, you have to unleash all 100% of what you have learned previously, and you hold it…In other words, you have to bring out the Chakra's rotation and power to its full extent, and still compress the Chakra inside of the balloon with the image of making another layer within the balloon…I know that. But no matter how hard I try…I can't seem to be able to focus 100% of the power in a nice ball…' She grits her teeth and Kyuubi chuckles inside of her.
"Just compress it into a tight ball as you put in the Chakra. I know that you can." Naruto's eyes flashed open and she quickly implements the fox's suggestion. She starts shaking like a leaf while expending her Chakra and then thinks of what Tsunade says.
"I can't…why?" Naruto asks while she lies on the ground. 'I don't have much time…at this rate I won't make it in time…' With that last thought her eyes close as she passes out. Shizune's eyes widen when she looks around the rocks.
'This is…?!' She stares in shock at the demolished tree that the girl was practicing on. "What…What happened, Naruto-chan?!"
"Hey! Hey, I said!" Naruto says while shaking the woman.
'Naruto-chan...' Her eyes widen when she thought of the fact that Tsunade said that it might take days for her to wake up. "O…oh no! Today…what day is today?" She gasps out asking the girl.
"Today is Monday…why?" Naruto asks while jerking back from the startled woman. Shizune looks at the girl. "What is it?" Naruto asks her.
"Your body has recovered?" Shizune asks her.
"No matter what the injury is, one night of sleep has always been enough!" Naruto boasts with a grin on her face.
"Yeah, don't even give the fox any credit." Kyuubi says to the girl with a sarcasm filled voice.
'Oh yeah…this kid…the nine-tails…' She winces as she sits up. "Ouch…"
"Anyway…where's that old hag?! Today's the day of the bet." Naruto asks her. "I wasn't able to finish my training, but I'll have to come up big when I show her…"
'Oh yeah…I have to get moving!' Shizune thinks as she narrows her eyes. "Naruto-chan! Stay in the house!" She yells at the girl as she starts to leave through the window. What stops her in her steps is a Kunai being thrown and embedded into the wall by the window.
"What's that…!?" Naruto shouts while sticking her head out the opening.
"You are…!" Shizune shouts.
"Wait Shizune!" Jiraiya gasps out and his knees falter making him grab onto the wall again. "Damn Tsunade…she put drugs in my Sake…I can't release Chakra well and my whole body stings…I can't even hold chopsticks…"
"And you're the one to always brag about how incredible a Ninja you are…you lame ass!" Naruto shouted at him. "She got you with a sexy-sexy attack?!"
"Shut up!" Jiraiya growls at the girl. "In her fallen state she's still a medical specialist. She's about the only one who can create a tasteless, odorless drug to use against other Ninja's…but…even though I was drunk…to get me like that…" In the ally looking out at them hides Kabuto.
'For that Jiraiya-sama to even be with them…this has gotten much more complicated…I will report this to Orochimaru-sama…' His concentration directs to Naruto. 'But Naruto-chan…for even you to be here…' He slips off and his movement alerts Jiraiya.
"Hey Shizune…what did you talk with Orochimaru about…it's about time you tell us!" He says as he looks at her with a stern look.
"Orochimaru!?" Naruto asks.
"I wanted to believe in Tsunade-sama…that's why I couldn't say anything…but…we don't have much time…follow me! I'll explain on the way!" She says and they all get up.
"Right!" Jiraiya struggles for a few seconds to stand.
"I'm coming too!" As they rush to Tsunade's meeting point Shizune fills them in. "The answer has to be "no"!"
'This could be really bad…Tsunade is still unable to…let the thoughts of those two go and move on…Based on the situation…I might really have to kill Tsunade!' Jiraiya thinks as he grits his teeth.
"If his arm is healed…he will attack the Leaf again…" Shizune says.
"If we don't stop Orochimaru now…an even more dangerous situation might occur…" Jiraiya tells her.
'Dammit!' Naruto grits her teeth and she pushes more Chakra to her muscles making her a little faster. They land in an ally way where the ground looked crumpled. "Wh…what's this!?" Naruto squeaks out.
"Whoa…that Princess Tsunade has gone pretty wild…" Jiraiya says with a smirk on his face.
'So…Tsunade-sama has declined?!' Shizune wonders. Ton-ton smells the jacket that Tsunade left behind and Shizune watches. "Ton-ton which way did she go?"
"Buu!" The pig squeals and starts dashing towards his mistresses' scent.
As soon as Kabuto learns how to get control of his body again he starts rushing at Tsunade and barely stops when the group arrives via smoke. They decide to stand in between Tsunade and Kabuto.
"Long time no see…Jiraiya…" Orochimaru says with a smile on his face.
"Yo, yo, you have changed at all...those wild eyes…" Jiraiya says with a grin on his face.
"Naruto-chan…" Kabuto looks at the girl with a gentle smile on his face.
"Aahh?!" Naruto cries out with shock. "Ka…Kabuto-san…?" Tsunade looks at them and narrows her eyes.
"I see, so you know who he is." Jiraiya says looking at the girl through the corner of his eyes until Tsunade knocks him aside, making him groan.
"Move!" She says as she runs at Kabuto.
"Hey…" Jiraiya complains, bracing his weight on his hands. Kabuto grits his teeth and swings out a Kunai to hurry and slash his wrist, spewing blood all over Tsunade.
'Blood…!' Tsunade starts freaking out as she stares down at the blood covering her.
"My body has finally started to move." Kabuto says with a smirk. 'It is bad even for me to go against two of the three great Ninja's…' Kabuto decks Tsunade right in the face and makes her fly back. 'I'll stop them!'
"Tsunade-sama!" Shizune calls out and runs to quickly catch the older woman while Naruto's jaw drops.
"Hey! Hey! What the heck's going on! Why is Kabuto fighting Tsunade!?" Naruto asks.
"You are so thick, Naruto-chan. That's why you can't compare to Sasuke-kun." Kabuto tells her.
"Look at his headband carefully! He is Orochimaru's subordinate." Jiraiya says.
"That's right…I'm a Sound Village spy." Kabuto says with a smirk and Naruto's eyes widen.
"Wha…what are you saying? You're lying, right Kabuto-san…?" Naruto whimpers.
"Naruto-chan, I have concluded something from your data." He tells her. "Unlike Sasuke-kun…you have no talent in becoming a Shinobi." With him saying this it pissed off both Naruto and Kyuubi. Behind her Shizune takes care of Tsunade and covers her back in her jacket while wiping off the blood from her face.
'This is the first time I've seen Tsunade-sama like this…' She gently takes her handkerchief and wipes the blood off of her face. "Please don't overdo it…I am your accomplice." Naruto's face turns into a furious glare that is directed at Kabuto.
"Even if you do make such a scary face, you are nothing more than an out-of-place Genin. You were relying on that monster inside of you, but with the legendary Ninja's in front of my eyes you are worthless. You are like a small bug right now…if you try something…I'll kill you." Kabuto says and Naruto's fury bursts inside of her and she starts running at Kabuto.
"Stop!" Jiraiya says and tries to grab the girl but she evades him. 'Guh! My body still is…'
'That hand…he can't use his right hand!' Naruto observes as she starts weaving hand signs. "Kage Bunshin no Jutsu!" She forms clones. 'I can't waste all my Chakra on making too many clones. Four clones and attack at once! I'll take him out from the right side!' Naruto and her clones charge. Kabuto struck them all quickly. 'What? What's this!' Kabuto splashed blood all over Naruto's face making her and her clones vision to become impaired 'Blood!?' Kabuto starts grabbing her clones and throwing them into each other and the last one he threw her into her, making her fly back until she is caught by Shizune. The woman spits out needles straight at him.
'Shit…I'm too late…' Kabuto tries to dodge them, but only manages to move his head down enough to block the attack from getting him.
'With his headband…' Shizune frowns while Kabuto jumps back to where Orochimaru is standing. He takes out a pill and starts chewing on it.
"Thanks lady…" Naruto says while wiping the rest of the blood out of her eyes.
'Blood stopping pill…!? A medic Ninja like me.' Shizune thought while staring at them.
"You're bleeding pretty bad." Orochimaru says, while smirking.
"Please take off the left bandage." Kabuto urges the man, who then loosens the wrap and lets it drop.
"That's…Orochimaru…" Naruto frowns.
"Shizune, you handle the guy in the glasses, I'll take care of Orochimaru. But…before that I would like Tsunade to do something about my body…" Jiraiya says.
"This effect will last probably for a few more hours. I myself cannot do anything about it…" Shizune tells him.
"Hmph, well I guess there's nothing we can do…we have to do it like this…Tsunade…heal yourself with healing Jutsu." Jiraiya tells her.
"Then! What about me! What about me!" Naruto whines.
"You protect Tsunade and her pig." Jiraiya says.
"What? I wanna fight too! I can…" Naruto whines until Jiraiya stops her.
"No! Like the guy in the glasses said, they're on an entirely different level. The enemy is like me, one of the three Nins, plus he killed the 3rd Hokage. An eye for an eye! Only I can take him! Also the guy in the glasses has the same power as Kakashi." Jiraiya tells her.
"Then…" Naruto started forming signs.
"Hey wait! It's useless to use the Kage Bunshin with those two as your enemy; you'll only be wasting your Chakra." He tells her.
"Crap…" Naruto says and stops her signs. They all square off and form lines on opposite sides. All of a sudden they quickly started moving gathering blood and forming signs. Both of them summoned at the same time. Kabuto summoned two snakes and Jiraiya summoned Gamakichi.
"'Sup?" The little toad said.
"Wha…what…?" Jiraiya freaks out.
"Ah…!" Naruto's jaw drops.
'Jiraiya is still affected by the poison…he cannot control his Chakra well…' Shizune observes.
"Your stupidity still hasn't been cured…Jiraiya. Then I will attack first! I don't think there exists anyone less talented than you…It looks like Tsunade's been hurt by something…hehe." Orochimaru goads the man.
"A sacrifice was required for that technique. Perhaps Tsunade was thinking ahead. She probably gave him a drug to limit his power. To prepare him as a sacrifice…" Kabuto states.
'I'll see through this handicap soon enough…!' Jiraiya thought as he scoffs at the two.
"As usual, that guy's shamefully indecent." Orochimaru says.
'If that stupid pervert, Sennin has gotten some kind of illness, then…' Naruto bites her thumb to break the skin and draw blood then speedily flow through the signs like they came to her naturally. "Summoning Jutsu!" She slams her hand down on the ground and to everyone's shock three circle's appeared under her hand.
"The nine tails girl from the Chuunin exam…Maybe it would have been better had I killed her back then…for the time being I'll overlook her attitude…but if that "Five Element Seal" has loosened…it would be difficult even for a member of the legendary three." Orochimaru says while staring down at the pigtailed girl.
"It's been said that Naruto is Jiraiya's…" Kabuto stops what he was going to say.
"Perhaps…I've never dealt with a power like that of the nine tails…" Orochimaru says. When the smoke clears there was a small toad in the middle with two fox kits staring up at her. "Looks like I won't have to…" He says as Kabuto chuckles. "Since she doesn't have any natural talent as a Ninja, either…"
"Hello." The chubby toad says to Naruto then notices the two foxes on each side of him. "Whoa, who are they?"
"They are my grand kits, Naruto-chan. It seems my son has noticed I have awoken and is going to sign a contract with you to summon our kin to the field if you need them." Kyuubi says through Naruto's mouth. The two kits jumped up onto Naruto's shoulder.
"You just have to learn to concentrate; G-ma's Chakra and you can summon even our dad." The white one says. "You should remember him though, you met him when he was injured and took care of him. I'm Yue, Shiro's eldest daughter."
"And I'm Memoro, the only son." The black one says.
'As I thought, she still needs a little more work…though it is amazing that she could summon from the fox clan.' Jiraiya thought as he looked at her enviously.
"What are you doing coming out here, Gamutatsu?" Gamukichi asks his little brother.
"Ah! Older brother Gamukichi! This is my first summoning…but…I'll try my hardest!" Gamutatsu says.
"Idiot! You'll be a snack for him. Hurry up and go hide!" Gamukichi yells at him.
"Huh? Even if I'm just a snack…I'll try!" He says cheerfully.
"I'll take Jiraiya…the rest are yours." Orochimaru shouts out and they both start sending their snakes towards the group. They all dodged the snakes with Naruto cursing as she is dodging not only the snake but the flying rocks. A snake opened its mouth wide to swallow the smallest of the group whole. Jiraiya jumps onto a big flying rock to see Orochimaru following him on his snake. "Your opponent is me!"
'Underground!' Jiraiya observes and started weaving signs. "Swamp of the underworld!" He creates a black bog that starts sink the huge snake. 'It can't even sink in such a small swamp…that drug still hasn't worn off.' He observes and looks over at Orochimaru. "And this snake is still moving as well…" Shizune starts shooting needles at Kabuto who ends up dodging them and swallowing his hand in his Chakra to hit her with. Shizune grunts out.
"Ninja arts: Poison gas!" A black cloud forms out of her mouth and chases Kabuto, to swallow him. When the cloud dissipates it shows no Kabuto, shocking Shizune who ends up having her ankles grabbed and yanked into the ground. 'The strength in my legs…'
"Ack…This is the second time this has happened…" She struggles as she keeps the mouth from closing around her and she jumps out. "Made it!" When she lands a tail heads towards her and smashes her leg. 'My leg…!' Jiraiya starts forming signs when he saw Orochimaru rushing towards him. Orochimaru's neck starts stretching freakishly and zips towards Jiraiya, who covers his self in spines.
"Underworld spines!" When Orochimaru kicks him the spines spear through his foot making him groan out. He brought his head up to bite into Jiraiya's neck.
'Shit…this technique wasn't effective…' Orochimaru narrows his eyes up at the man as he groans out. "We've both hit each other but if I add a little more…just quit already…" Kabuto hits Shizune across her face knocking her to the ground and splattering a few drops of blood onto Tsunade. Shizune moans and Tsunade is having flashbacks of what happened to Dan and Naoki. Kabuto walks over to Tsunade and reaches up to grab her when the woman cries out and smacks his hand away. He started kicking her constantly when the fox kits start taking turns biting onto his ankles.
'Shi…she's in good health, but…' Naruto thinks as he watches the elder woman being beaten around.
"There's that insanity of my old village…You've become a companion to that lonely kid…and for the sake of the village, you've degraded yourself to the rank of Chauffer?" Orochimaru goads Jiraiya as he stares down at the others from the top of the snake. "My talent of seeing through people is unsurpassed. In my eyes that girl is just a common kid."
"That's for sure." Jiraiya says with a smile on his lips. "I wouldn't need a guy like Sasuke. A boy who has been raised as a natural prodigy from the outset is no fun, but a girl who should be in the same position because she comes from not one but two of the most powerful clans of all times and is looked down on because people don't know. Now, that's something that is worth more than five prodigies of Sasuke's size."
"Hehe…You're looking for someone like yourself, aren't you? I can't beat the Sharingan user who is heir to the Uchiha clan. Why bother with someone like Naruto who hasn't got something like that?" Orochimaru asks. "A Ninja talent that enables the user to use and master every technique in the world…that is what his Ninja heritage entails. Now he only needs to encounter the techniques." He stops talking when Jiraiya smiles.
"That's not what the talent of the Ninja entails. You still don't understand…" Jiraiya tells him and he gets so angry a vein pops out on his forehead. "What it takes…for a Shinobi to be called a Ninja. You also don't really pay attention to detail."
"What do you mean?" He grits out at his ex-team mate.
"Do you know that Naruto is the mixture between two clans? Clans that are more powerful and capable of more than the Hyuga and Uchiha's combined?" Jiraiya smirks. "His mother is from the Uzumaki clan and the previous holder of the Kyuubi, a clan of demon sealers that kind of power can never be over looked and the fact that they are taught from the age of infancy about those techniques. His father was the fourth, and a Namekaze, the wielders of the Time Jutsu and life Jutsu. The clan that can imitate even the darkest of sealed Jutsu's that even an Uchiha cannot imitate."
"Our perspectives differ…" Orochimaru says as he turns around and hides his pissed off look when he realizes the prize that will never be in his reach because even now there is a possibility that she is way stronger than Sasuke if her powers are unleashed.
"I'll teach you one thing…the most important Ninja talent…is not the number of techniques one acquires…the important thing is…a spirit which never gives up!" Jiraiya says as Naruto just gets pissed off even more and flares out Chakra to speedily take the blow aiming for Tsunade.
"Now, I'll put an end to this!" She starts quickly forming the Rasengan. Tsunade's eyes widen when she saw what the girl is accomplishing. With her eyes rapidly turning red she grabbed the orb that is no longer the normal white it would be but held a glow of red around it.
"She'll never give up. That kid will definitely do it…" Jiraiya tells Orochimaru as Naruto tries to hit Kabuto who ends up dodging at the last second. Before Kabuto hits the ground he uses his Chakra to cut a muscle in Naruto's leg.
'Heh…what's this new technique…She can't hit me with that kind of sweeping motion.' Kabuto thought as Naruto cries out when she hits the ground.
'That was bad…I can't move in time to hit him…' Naruto thought to herself as she grips her leg groaning out in pain.
"I managed to put a crack in your right femur bone…with my snake attack. Even after that you're still moving…but you can't win…since you can't stand." Kabuto leers at the girl.
'My Chakra isn't enough to stop him.' Naruto thought as she winces. 'What can I do? I have to use both hands for that attack…I don't think I can complete it with just one!'
"Heh…afraid of me? Do you feel like running away?" Kabuto taunts and he whips out a card. "Naruto…isn't this a picture of you from around the time of the test?" Naruto stares up at him as Kyuubi secretly heals all the damage that Kabuto has rendered in her leg. "You're nothing special, Naruto. You should run…if you can still move…It was luck that you become a Genin, but with your exceptional spirit it would be fitting for you to become Hokage…but for that you cannot be so cowardly. Now…do you think you could possibly become something like that?" The whole time he taunts the girl Tsunade's thinking back to what Naruto says to her. "If you want to grow up to become a true champion it'd be best if you ran…under these circumstances…You should just quit. A person should run away when they feel like it…" Naruto's eyes narrow and turn even redder. "No, no, no…what's with those eyes? That'll get you killed! If you die here, you'll never attain your dreams or anything else…" Tsunade thought about the last argument she had with her little brother and the fact that she gifted both him and Dan with her grandfather's necklace. She grips the ornament in her hand as she listens more. "For a kid like you, I think the decision is completely simple…So if you can speak so calmly about a dream like that…you cannot run away…" He walks over and shoves his foot right on the leg that the Kyuubi is furiously healing, causing her to pause because it is doing more damage. "Then die."
"Right…I'm…not dead yet. That is my way of the Ninja." Naruto says while staring up at him with her bright eyes. Kabuto forms his Chakra scalpel again and knocks Naruto closer to Tsunade. A cry rips from the girls lips.
"What…?" She looks at the struggling girl. "Why…? Why are you…" She asks as the girl gets to her feet finally.
"Tsunade-baba…" She says to the woman and starts forming signs rapidly.
'She's still standing…' Kabuto observes.
"Remember the arrangements of that bet…Now, you'll have to give me that bad luck amulet of yours…Kage Bunshin no Jutsu!" She forms a clone.
'Kage Bunshin at a time like this?' She wonders what the girl is going to do. "That's it…for my sake…Naruto! Stop it!" She yells at the girl while Kabuto takes out another Kunai.
"For that insolence…I'll give you death!" Kabuto yells at her.
"If you die you'll never…accomplish your dreams or anything else! That's enough Naruto! Get out of the way! Run!" Tsunade screams.
"Truly great…" Naruto makes the Kunai go through her hand just so she could grab a hold of Kabuto's hand. "I…until I become Hokage…I refuse to die!" She smiles painfully and holds her hand out to the clone. The teen in her grasp couldn't believe what she has done and is frozen with shock. "You won't be able to escape from this one…" The clone starts the Jutsu in Naruto's hand making Kabuto's eyes widen.
'This Chakra is moving just like before…No!" Kabuto panics.
'The clone is focusing the weight of the Chakra on her hand…the Chakra!" Naruto grips the ball of Chakra in her hand.
'Now, that it's focused, this is the end for you!' Naruto growls and Kyuubi pushes more Chakra into it making it shine brightly. The girl presses the ball of Chakra into his stomach.
'I…impossible.' Tsunade watches as the girl performs a perfect Rasengan.
'Wha…what's this!?' Kabuto wonders as the Rasengan digs deep into his stomach and starts shredding his skin. The Jutsu encompasses his entire body making him start to spin uncontrollably. The blast carried him a good distance from Naruto until he smashed into a boulder. Naruto stands there panting as she watches the teen.
'Heh…that Naruto kid sure got him…' Jiraiya says with a smirk while he and Orochimaru are on the belly of his snake upside down.
'That nine-tails kid…That kind of kid…That technique…' Orochimaru stared in shock.
'Im…impossible. This couldn't be true…In just one week he learned the Rasengan…' Tsunade stares at the girl whose eyes widen suddenly when Kabuto gets up groaning, with blood pouring from the wounds on his stomach. Tsunade's eyes now widen as she watches the girl cough up blood making Kabuto smirk. She rushes to Naruto's side, she's moaning while Tsunade looks from her to Kabuto. "You took that attack…you…"
"I collected Chakra in my abdomen before I took that attack and began recovering immediately. I'm the one who saved Orochimaru's life. It's senseless to try and kill me with that technique. My resilience is over-whelming." He brags as his stomach starts healing before their eyes. "An ability that allows me to activate all of my cells, thus creating new cells which to replace my damaged ones…" He watched it heal. 'Of course…as a trade-off, it uses up just about all of my Chakra…' He staggers closer. "This technique…it looked like Naruto-chan's last gamble…" He couldn't say anymore when his glasses started cracking and blood started coming from his mouth. 'Wh…what?!' He falls to the ground. 'Impossible…My healing ability, with this level of damage…my Chakra won't be sufficient…' He groans out as his face is held in the dirt. Naruto starts coughing and shaking, drawing Tsunade's attention back to her. The woman brings her ear to the girls' chest and heard the faltering heart beat.
'Shit! The muscles of her heart are worn out…her heartbeat has become erratic. Was it that attack…?' She wondered as she used her Chakra to cut through Naruto's shirt enough to access most of her chest but not enough to reveal her cleavage to everyone. Tsunade put her hands on the girls' chest. Behind a rock, hid all of the animals that were summoned or were a pet.
"Hey, older brother Gamukichi…was it really that girl that called you? Looks like she's going to die…" Gamutatsu says.
"Shut up! You annoying brat!" Gamukichi shouts.
"Heh…It's too late for you, Naruto…The Chakra in your heart muscles…has been sapped…The blood flow…to your heart…has been cut off…At your utmost power…I've cut off any potential for you to recover on your own…" Kabuto goads as he lies down on the ground in rough shape himself.
"Shut up!" Tsunade tells him while she heals Naruto. As she looks down at the girl while healing her she see's Dan and her little brother. 'Damn it…damn it…' As she healed the seal on Naruto's belly appeared and started shining brightly.
"It's dark…it's so dark…Why is it so dark…? My…power…why…" Kyuubi wonders what is happening until she realizes that her human is on the edge of death. "No…Naruto…my kit…don't die on us…" She pushed more of her Chakra into the girls' channels and chanted along with Tsunade.
'Don't die…don't die! Don't die! Don't die!' Her eyes widen when the girl moves her arm enough to grab the pendant hanging over her.
"The…bet…I won…" Naruto says with a huge grin on her face. She fell unconscious again.
'Im…impossible!' Kabuto stared at the girl in shock as he couldn't believe she isn't dead yet.
"It's your dream to become Hokage, so…" Tsunade took the hand that was stabbed with a Kunai and healed it completely. 'Finally…finally, just one more time…' She healed the cut on the girls' cheek and then lifted her head and put the necklace on her. 'Now I want to see you wear this…' Tsunade thought as she cried happy tears.
"That kid isn't doing well…" Orochimaru states with a smirk on his lips.
"Tsunade was once a medical specialist. With Naruto under her care, there's nothing to worry about, but as for you, in this fight with me, you won't have a chance to look away…" Jiraiya tells him.
"Talk like that is meaningless…impossible…That same kid…" He stops what he was saying. 'If she crosses the Akatsuki she might become a hassle…looks like…I have to kill her…Now!' He jumps off of his snake. Jiraiya curses and jumps off after him. Orochimaru spits his tongue out of his mouth to have it wrap around Jiraiya's ankle and slams him into the ground. He then makes his sword come out of his mouth as he rushes towards Naruto.
'This kid…?!' Tsunade's eyes widened when she realizes he is after Naruto and then she quickly places herself in front of the girl making the sword go through her chest. Kabuto stares at them in anticipation while Jiraiya is groaning from the cracks in the ground that his body created. Tsunade coughs up blood.
"Tsunade…I wasn't trying to kill you…If that brat survives, she'll cause a great deal of trouble for me later on…Don't get in my way…" Orochimaru says around the sword in his mouth.
"No…I'm going to protect her no matter what…" Tsunade says while she shakes.
"Hmph…trembling in fear of blood. Why of all the Shinobi, Tsunade…One of the legendary three from Konoha…" He wonders as he yanks the sword from her chest. "Why are you risking your life to protect a worthless Genin brat?" He watches her shake and she glares up at him.
"To protect…the Hidden Leaf…and one of their treasures. You were told who she is and you constantly believe she is worthless? Then you are more stupid than I figured." She tells him.
"To protect the Hidden Leaf?" He asks and she looks down at the girls face.
"You want to know why? This kid…is the future Hokage of Konoha…She's got it in her blood. Generations of leaders run through both sides of her family and you don't realize that even though they weren't originally from Konoha they are still leaders." She says with a smile on her lips.
"Fufu…what are you babbling about? Besides…Hokage is worthless…only fools would want it…" Orochimaru says while grinning. Tsunade realizes that she once thought that as well and it shocks her now. Her body starts shaking.
"From now on…I too shall bet my life!" She says as she glares at him while her shaking lessens. Orochimaru's sword starts coming out of his mouth again.
"Feh! If you're going to throw away your life for a worthless brat like her…then die like the worthless trash you're protecting!" He raises the sword and slashes right across her chest. Tsunade starts to fall back as the others regain consciousness. When her body hits the ground both Shizune and Jiraiya look on in shock. "Now…as for Naruto-chan…" Orochimaru says while walking towards the girl.
'There's no time!' Jiraiya thinks as he groans while forming signs.
"Tsunade-sama!" Shizune cries out as Orochimaru swings his sword again, only to find Tsunade blocking the girls' body from being hit yet again with her own.
"Didn't I tell you? I said I'd bet my life." She tells him as she stays still.
"You worthless trash…" Orochimaru grits out and kicks her body away from Naruto's. She looks over at the girl and her resolve toughens up making her body stop trembling. 'Impossible! Tsunade's trembling stopped!?' A hit straight to his face made him fall back and hit the dirt.
"Why am I doing this?" Tsunade says and Orochimaru looks up at her. "Because now…I am the 5th Hokage of the Hidden Leaf!" She says with a smirk revealing the mark spreading from her forehead.
'Tsunade-sama overcame her phobia!? But…that Jutsu is…' Shizune watches in shock. "Wa…wait! Tsunade-sama! I'll heal your wounds! Please don't open that seal!"
"Seal release!" Tsunade releases it anyway causing all of her injuries to rapidly heal. The marks on her forehead disappear.
"Fufu…seems like I'm not the only one developing new Jutsu…care to tell me what that is?" Orochimaru asks.
"I've been gathering my Chakra to the seal on my forehead for quite some time…I used that Chakra to stimulate production of various enzymes that accelerated my cell duplication rate for rapid reformation…I can reconstruct any damaged parts and organs of my body…It's not just a simple healing, it's regeneration…" She tells him. "In other words…I'll never die in battle…ever!"
"Tsunade-sama!" Shizune cries out. 'The number of times each human cell can multiply is limited…If she quickens the process, it only means she's shortening her own life!' She watches as Tsunade wipes blood onto the back of her hand.
"Orochimaru-sama! The "Manda"!" Kabuto shouts and Orochimaru jumps towards him while Tsunade starts forming seals. Jiraiya starts as well.
'This better work!' He thought.
"Here, hurry!" Orochimaru says while bringing his arm close to Kabuto. All three of them summon out their top summons and stare at each other.
"Hey! Dad!" Gamatatsu shouts up to his father.
"Ack! Gamatatsu, we gotta get out of here!" Gamakichi says and starts running to a safe distance. The male fox kit grabs the little toads' jacket to tote him off.
"Manda and Orochimaru, Katsuyu and Tsunade…long time no see…What, planning some special reunion, eh? Jiraiya?" The big toad asks the man on his head.
"Fool! Don't crack stupid jokes when I call you for a tough job…it's about time to settle an old enmity…" Jiraiya tells him. "We're going to defeat Orochimaru…Now."
"Hey, Orochimaru, what are you smoking, summoning me here in this lame excuse for land?" Manda asks while leering up at the man on his head. "You want me to eat your sorry ass!?"
"Please, Manda-sama, we'll thank you generously later on…" Kabuto begs the snake as he looks on with his battered body.
"Who do you think you're talking to!? Keep your dirty gas bags shut, stupid brat!" Manda shouts and bucks his head up enough to rattle their brains. "Hey…you'd better prepare at least 100 sacrifices after this, you got that?!"
'Although Orochimaru-sama is his master, I'm sure Manda will betray him as soon as he realizes Orochimaru-sama can't use his Jutsu. Using Manda in this situation…is extremely risky…' Kabuto thought as he stared at the man.
"Katsuyu…take this kid to Shizune…" Tsunade tells the giant slug.
"Understood." She creates a smaller version of herself underneath Naruto. Shizune is on the ground healing a wound on her ankle.
'Alright!' She stood up. "Let's go!" Before she could even take a step Katsuyu drops her smaller version right in her way.
"You…you want me to turn you into toad jerky, huh!?" Manda shouts at the toad.
"Just when I wanted a snake-skin wallet…" Gamabunta says drawing his sword while Katsuyu just stares at the two.
"Orochimaru, you adopted an evil way that is too much…we're no longer comrades." Jiraiya says while glaring at the man.
"Comrades? Haha…don't make me laugh." Orochimaru grins.
"Today is the last time there will be three of the Sennin of the Leaf." Tsunade says.
"Shizune-sama…Please take care of this kid." Katsuyu tells her. This will be a gruesome battle…Please go far away and hide someplace safe. This is Tsunade-sama's wish."
'Tsunade-sama…' Shizune looked up at the giant beasts about to go head to head. Gamabunta blows out smoke into Manda's face while Katsuyu spits out acid at the snake who quickly avoided it. He wraps his body around the slimy form of Katsuyu's causing Tsunade to grit her teeth as the snake opens up his maw. Before he could envelope the slug into his mouth, Gamabunta swings his sword into the snakes' mouth and the serpent closed over it. He tightens his body around the slugs frame, making her release one of her abilities to split her body up into tiny versions of her, slipping out of his grasp.
"Tsunade, get away from there!" Gamabunta shouts at the woman as he is knocked back from Manda swinging his tail to hit the toad. His sword lands right in front of Katsuyu.
"Bunta! Gimme some oil!" Jiraiya shouts.
"Alright!" The toad says and both of them combine their attacks to form a huge wave of fire that covers all of Manda. 'Skin…molting!?' Jiraiya wonders as the only thing revealed after the fire vanished was Manda's outer layers. Gamabunta noticed something was quickly moving underground towards them so he stiffens up to be ready for the attack. When the tail bursts from the ground he grabs a hold of it. Distracting him from the snake mouth that is opened wide and coming straight at him. Jiraiya is looking up with widened eyes as Tsunade takes this time to bring Gamabunta's sword down for an attack on the snake. She spears it through the head.
"Keep it shut!" She tells the snake.
'It's troublesome, having to fight both of them at the same time.' Orochimaru thinks and spits his tongue out to attack her with it. It wraps around her neck.
"Let's end this!" Tsunade says as she quickly loosens the organ pulling him off his feet and flying quickly towards her, where she releases a punch to his face.
A/N: Okay everyone; this will be the last one for a little bit. Yes, I know. "Why the cliff hanger." Just so you guys will be anxious to see the next set when I get them out. Okay, now for Fated Love installment and then on to the mini-series.
