Back - to - back updates? WHAT. Legit, I think the last time I did this was back in 2013, when this story was first published. This thing has been going for five years! Can you believe it? That's insane. I can't believe I'm still doing this.

...o...o...o...

Sophiel, standing in the middle of ruin and rubble and blood, surveyed her work. Beelzebub was dead. All of his underlings were dead, Satan's demon soldiers were either dead or running. Rin and his brother had defeated Satan, somehow. And ...

Raziele.

Standing right beside her, his pastel-pink hair bloodied and matted, his hand clasped around hers. Somehow, in the middle of the fighting, that had happened. Sophiel could not say that she minded.

Raziele glanced at her, lips parted as if to speak, when suddenly his brow furrowed. Sophiel arched an eyebrow.

"Your eye," Raziele said at last. "It's not glowing anymore."

"Oh." Sophiel placed a hand over her eye, feeling self-conscious. How long had it been since she had last worn her eyepatch?

After a lengthy pause, Raziele added, "And you're not a demon, are you?"

Sophiel pursed her lips in thought, then shook her head. "No."

"What are you?"

Sophiel thought about that as well. "An angel," she said at last. Raziel sucked in breath. "Though, a fallen one. After the Fall -" the Fall, referring to when Satan had been cast out of heaven, "- I was stuck here. Trapped. I ..." A pause. "It had been so long, I had forgotten.

"But then," she continued, giving Raziele a warm glance, "you came around. You and Rin. And just now, I ... Well, I remembered," she said simply, and gestured vaguely towards the destruction around her. "A lot."

Raziele's throat bobbed. "And you knew ..."

"Your mother. Yes." Sophiel's gaze grew distant. "She was kind to me. Back up above, I mean, but then bad things happened, and then she disappeared. I don't know how much time had passed. Enough time to forget her, to forget everything, and you know the rest." She glanced at him. "I met you. And remembered a little."

Raziele couldn't help but stare. Stare, and listen to everything that she was saying ... and everything that she wasn't.

"You were always quiet," he said, brilliantly.

"I had a lot to think about," she said, and squeezed his hand a bit tighter, and laughed.

...o...o...o...

"I guess we won." Rin's voice was dry, a parched weed growing out of granite, and he glanced towards his brother. "We did it."

Yukio's eyes were wide, his expression pale. Around them Gehenna's wind roared, the landscape below dust and ash. Demons from Satan's army were fleeing the battle, only to be massacred by their own forces. They had won, in every sense of the word. But for how long? Demons respawned after enough time. They reformed in whatever dimension they fell to, and then came back. Yukio's hands began to tremble. How long until Satan returned? How long?

Beside him, his brother's eyes glazed over. "What a nice view," he murmured.

Yukio glanced at him - what a stupid thing to say on a battlefield - but then his twin closed his eyes, and began to fall.

I hope Raziele and Sophiel's POV made some sense ...? I'll leave the rest to your imagination, and whatever spin-off's you dream of. Create your own canon. Have a great time.
