Gex: Enter the Gecko

Chapter 3: Smellraiser (Or, Pumpkins are Spooky)

By the time I opened my eyes, I already knew that things were about to get spooky. The mansion was dark, creepy and smelled like old socks. . . .much like that one time I took gym in high school. Knowing what I was expecting here, I ventured forth, knowing that this old place was going to kill me sooner or later.

The first room I entered saw me staring at the face of a jumping pumpkin. A tail whip later and I managed to scale the book case and grabbed a few items. Frankenstein's monster was chasing me as I leapt over it and continued my way under this old house. I decided to catch my breath and lean against a bookcase, only to fall backwards into a secret room with a switch. I pulled on it and heard a scream, but seeing as I was just in a room with nothing else in it, I pressed forward.

Following my instinct of reading signs, apparently I should be going into a light that I see down the stairs. A red ghost was looking at me like the IRS looks at a taxpayer with no money. I climbed down the stairs and noticed a cooler filled with blood.

Now I know where Dracula gets his blood supply.

I smashed the cooler and grabbed the items and continued on my way up the stairs into the next room. Looks like someone better call the plumber and fix the pipes because there was water everywhere! A quick tail bounce got me into the next room as a karate kick later saved my tail from getting axed. I bounced up the bookcase and ran into Stabby McStab Face (no connection to Chucky whatsoever) and leapt over a floating table and decided to make a quick left into the next room. I saw a few paintings and admired the creepy artwork when suddenly, the paintings started to get taller as I felt the room going up. Maybe that was what the switch was for!

The doors opened up and a ghost just tackled me down to the floor below. The cold water splashed against my face as I tail whipped the ghost into dust. I grabbed the silver remote and made my way towards the next room where I finally found the red remote for this creepy place and made my exit.

*Media Dimension*

I regained my footing and made my way towards the center of the MD as the television was now unlocked. Seems to me this was going to be a fight and decided to jump right in, knowing that this was going to be a fight to remember. . . . . . . not really but still.
