Chapter 5: Hold my Tongue, Darling

*Media Dimension*

Back from collecting a a couple remotes, I felt a sense of relief when collecting these remotes. Since my encounter with the tiki brothers, it seems that Rez really does have a sense of hoarding these items and giving them to these random strangers on tv. I wonder if Rez was at the source of these monsters escaping into the real world? As I pondered this, a hand grabbed me and pulled me into a television monitor.

*Mooshoo's Lair*

I was slammed against the wall as a half pig, half cow monster laughed at me from the distance.

"So you must be the great Gex the Gecko!" He said as I brushed myself off.

"That's right! And who in the heck are you?"

"The names Mooshoo Pork bub! Chief Builder of Rezopolis and Rez's right hand pig!" He bowed as I stuck out my tongue.

"Doesn't matter what you are piggy! So long as Rez is still out there, I'm going to stop both of you from taking over the Media Dimension!" I exclaimed as Mooshoo laughed at me.

"Silly gecko, just because you stopped him once, doesn't mean he won't succeed this time! Rez will get his way, even if it means destroying you!" Mooshoo charged forward as I tail bounced above this area. "You can run gecko but you can't hide from me forever! I'll put you down once and for all!"

I ran to the other side of the room and found a switch. Testing my luck, I pulled it down as a hot bolt of electricity shot from the center of the room and hit Mooshoo right in the face, filling the room with the smell of bacon.

"Ay, thinking some electricity is gonna stop me? Better think again gecko!" He said as he charged at me once again. I dodged to the side as he switched the lever and electricity walls cornered me. I tail bounced over them and made my way to the other side of the room. I found another switch and pulled it down as another bolt of electricity hit Mooshoo in the chest. He charged at me but tripped over his hooves as I tail bounced on his head and hit another switch. The room started shaking as a strong bolt of electricity hit Mooshoo right in the face as he slumped to the ground.

"Heheheh, not bad gecko, not bad. You really are a great fighter *cough* but its going to take more then just pure luck to stop Rez and his plans!" He groaned as he leaned back and stared at me.

"As I said before, I was sent here to stop Rez and that's what I'm going to do! I don't care what happens to me so long as the people are safe and I can watch my reruns in peace!" I said as Mooshoo laughed.

"Gecko, you have a lot to learn from the Media Dimension. I helped build his lair and I know for the fact that his creations will stop at nothing to bring you down. I will forever be the one that will defeat Gex and Gecko in the end!" He exclaimed as he turned to static and disappeared, leaving behind a gold remote. I grabbed it and looked around the room. I noticed a few blueprints on the wall and studied them. On the top was a title of "Inner Sanctum" written across with a couple of platforms surrounding the area. I gazed at the picture and just shook my head. I needed to get going!

*Rezopolis*

Rez slammed a claw into one of the monitors as Mooshoo limped back into the room. "Didn't I tell you to not disappoint me?"

Mooshoo nodded his head with shame as a small smile appeared on his face, "I know master, I know! Gex is a fighter I give him that. However, this is just a minor setback!"

"I DON'T CARE IF IT WAS A MINOR SETBACK! GEX MUST BE STOPPED NOW!" Rez yelled at Mooshoo, throwing a television monitor at him.

"Now now master, I still have a means with dealing with that pesky gecko! I'll just use the backup plan we had in store for him in one of the other areas!" Mooshoo said as Rez grabbed him by the neck.

"Very well Mooshoo but mark my words, this is your last chance! Fail me again and I will will DeRez you from the Media Dimension!" Rex threatened as Mooshoo nodded as he teleported away. Rez turned around and looked at one of the monitors of Gex going into a new area. "It appears that Gex is indeed serious in trying to stop me. Very well, then I will start getting serious!"
