Things to be Forgotten

WE'RE BAAACK! Our fellow readers, we are so sorry we haven't updated, both Autobot Slipstream and I have gotten caught up over the past few months with other stuff and work that this story sadly got set away for a while. But now we want to try and get back into the swing of things and give you more chapters. I hope we haven't lost any of you because of our delay.

Anywho, I hope you'll like this new chapter, it kind of delves into a certain evil femmes past life, heh, heh. And I've also added some good fluff for you, but you'll have to read on to see whom or what it's about. Otherwise, ENJOY!

Wednesday, 09:30, Open Desert

Brittnianne checked her digits as if he had recently had them repainted with a chipping paint. She hummed to herself absentmindedly, her legs swinging back and forth like a pendulum as she sat on the edge of a tall cliff. Looking down, she saw vehicons working away at rock as rubble fell to their pede's. She scoffed and started checking her digits again, there was no way she was going to go down there.

Breonna stepped up to her, almost giddily, but simmered down when she sat next to Brittnianne. The pink femme looked at the girl disgusted before pushing her over so that more space occupied between them.

"What do you want, Breonna, I'm very busy at the moment."

"Nothing," Breonna kicked her pede's against the dirt wall and flecks flew out. "I'm bored."

"Bored is an understatement. That stupid, Megatron can't tell me what to do."

"Well, he is captain of the ship."

"Shut it, I don't need your idiocy."

Breonna quieted and pressed her helm against her chest. "Sorry, Brittnianne, I was just-"

"I don't care." Brittnianne got up, the sun glinting off her finely polished metal exterior. "I'm going on a drive, if 'Mr. Captain of the ship' demands a report, just tell him everything is fine."

"W-what if he comes here. . . I mean, what about me if he gets-" Before Breonna could finish the sentence, Britnianne was already off and driving away from the scene. She could care less about anything at the moment. The dust that collected behind her almost looked like a storm cloud that rumbled with great fright as she revved her engines.

Scenery changed as time passed on. The world seemed so small as a giant robot who could speed through the landscape like it was a slick asphalt. Brittnianne didn't even know that half these places were scattered so close together.

Her comm. blinked signaling that Megatron was trying to get ahold of her, or another one of his minions who wanted to relay the message that she was utterly in trouble. She cared not and completely shut off her signals so that nothing could bother her. Finally, peace and quiet.

Not even a minute later sirens blared behind her and she moved her mirrors to see that a cop was racing after her. She sighed, but refused to stop, she was a robot now and no human could force her to do as they said.

Her and the police car played chase for a while before she saw three more show up behind him. Growling, she changed gear and sped up, hoping to lose them in the woods that were growing larger with the closing of distance.

"Stop now, or we will be forced to use force." One of the police men said over a megaphone.

"Try and stop me." The words were only said for her own audio receptors, but she could tell she got the message across to the police who sped up. They reached her bumper and she revved her engine before moving ahead of them. She could see up ahead that spikes had been laid across the ground, truly she found it funny that they though she was stupid enough to fall for the trick.

Swerving and fishtailing, she skidded around the barrier, missing a few of the spikes just inches from her back tires. Two of the other cars did as she did while the last two accidentally found themselves victims of their own trap. She snickered to herself and sped up more until she reached max speed, which to her surprise was far faster than the police cars that now only gained distance. She guessed being of alien technology had its advantages.

The forest finally reached her and she drove into it, swiftly guiding herself around the outer trees before transforming and landing gracefully onto the damp ground. She wished so much to show herself to the humans, scare them of everything; but she knew that if Megatron learnt about her actions he'd have her head. She furrowed her optic ridges, since when did she care about him and what he'd do?

Brittnianne rolled her optics and walked through the forest, the trees high enough to mask her from any sight. Mud caked on her heels and branches scraped against her paint, chipping it. She gasped a few times, but after a while, the feeling and thought of her exterior being ruined left her. She began to not care, more important things rummaging through her mind.

She wondered if she was ever going to get home, if ever she could return to her normal life of riches, glamour, perfection and un-alien stuff. Sighing, she spotted a clearing and walked to it; by now her outer shell head to toe ruined. She sat down and her legs dangled off the cliff.

Folding her legs into a crossing position she looked out to the sky to see that the sun was setting, a beautiful array of purples, pinks and oranges. It reminded her of her childhood when her father, mother and her would lay atop the small hill in their backyard and point out the puffy white clouds and loudly say what they saw. She smiled and before she knew it, she felt something falling down her metal face. Wiping it with her digit she saw a bead of liquid trailing down her finger and dissipating as it reached her elbow.

She couldn't be crying, she didn't even know that they could cry as these creatures. Stifling back the tears she bent her head low, trying to forget the memory. It was one of the only good ones she had, after all, once her mother died her father became a recluse especially around her; all she really got to remember him was a five-thousand dollar check each week.

She knew he never liked looking at her when her mother died. If her mother hadn't been, well, her mother, they could've been labeled as identical twins. After the devastating night of watching her mother die of cancer, it was like her father hated her, almost angered that her mother had died instead of her. And that was the last memory she had of her family; then it was all sorority and hiding anger behind malice.

Looking back up to the clouds, it had grown somewhat darker and she saw that stars now began to peak out from the sky. The moonlight twinkled off her exterior, almost masking out the mud and scrapes.

Brittnianne truly didn't know how long she had sat there, the solitary place being a friend to her ailing spark. She almost felt revived; it just felt so nice to not have to take charge, just sit there thinking about nothing.

Then as fast as the the refreshed feelings sunk into her they were washed away by the sound of a roaring engine. She looked behind her to find a car, but saw nothing. Something flashed before her optics and she looked to the black night sky to see a jet rushing her way. She groaned, of course it had to be 'him' who found her and not one of her own followers.

Megatron transformed mid-air and landed on the damp ground with a thud, a thunderous shake vibrating the ground. Brittnianne paid no attention to him and kept her optics to the stars, trying to spot out the constellations she'd be taught of years ago.

She could faintly hear as he stepped up to her, but it was the glowing red optics that actually caught her attention. They were flaring with a deep red, anger coursing through them. She, without a flaw in her movement, stood up and brushed away the leaves and dirt that had collected on her legs.

"Can I help you?" Her tone was snide and her lips curled with annoyance.

He spoke no words as he crossed his arms. Then the words came. "I am sick of your insolence, I am your leader now and you WILL obey me when I give you a command." His voice had gradually raised and she almost flinched.

"I obey no one but myself, sir." She spat out the last word and he growled.

"Why do you test me when you know death is my allie?"

She laughed, a cynical laugh that made his words sound like she'd taken them as a joke. "Death is your allie as much as it is mine, Megatron. . . How can a fear a man that can't even keep control of his own men? . . One runs off on jaunts, another tries to over-rule what clearly will never be his, and even more talk of how they dislike you and your lack of respectfulness to their work and sacrifices. You are clearly no threat to me as I know how to keep my followers in order."

Megatron grasped her throat and lifted her off the ground. Even though she didn't have to breath, she clawed at his servo's and kicked her feet, her optics gazing directly into his. He showed no remorse for his actions as he clenched tighter and tighter.

"I may have an armada that doesn't cooperate like your pathetic group, but I keep mine in line and show them who rules over them. They fear me while yours think you are a spoiled brat who get what she wants when she wants it. They only follow you because you have dirt on them."

"H-how-"

"I can see a twisted mind when they come." Megatron threw her across the land and she landed with a thunking crack against the nearby trees. She lifted herself up with her arms and looked up to see him stalking towards her. "Do not underestimate me, Brittinannne, for I can make death a sweet dream compared to the torture I'll inflict on you for falling out of line." She quickly recovered and shoved him away with all the might she had. He stumbled only a couple feet, but it gave her enough time to get up and face him.

"I'm not one of your lost souls. . . And if you ever," She paused, taking in a deep breath to cool her systems. "EVER try to hurt me lik

e that again, I'll make you wish you'd never even heard the word torture!"

"You dare go against me!? Me!? the champion of the Pits of Kaon!"

"I don't know that place. ." She slumped a little, but regained her stance and straightened herself. "But yes, I dare and I'll dare until I die." They closed distance and even though Megatron towered over her, she glared him in the optics until his scowl turned into something of a sadistic smile.

"I'll make a loyal soldier out of you yet." He transformed and jetted off into the distance, but not without leaving words over her comm. link. {And get back to the Nemesis before I ban you.} She stood there stunned, her mind was still trying to process the whole conversation, especially after he seemed to switch moods. She finally transformed and drove off, requesting a ground-bridge. She didn't understand the mech, but she was bound to; if she wanted something, as he said, she got it.

Wednesday, 21:30, Autobot Outpost Omega 1

Arcee was curled up next to Optimus, her head resting against his chest. They sat there in silence for a long while, just enjoying each other's company. Arcee kept moving, trying to find a spot that comforted her, but for some reason she just couldn't find anywhere suitable.

Optimus sensed her distress and wrapped an arm around her. She sighed and closed her eyes. A second arm wrapped around her waist and she stopped, finally getting the message that he wanted her to talk to him about it.

"Are you alright, Arcee?"

"I. . Honestly I don't know."

"Would you like to speak to me about it?" His thumb rubbed against her face and she held it in her hand, pressing against her faceplate, comforted by the warmth of it. "You know you can speak to me about anything."

"Of course, Optimus, I just. . ." She looked up to him to see his face was screwed with worry for her. She gave him a comforting smiled and he tried to smile back, but it came out like a botched frown. She knew the silence would bother him until she spoke about what was wrong. "We've been back a week. . . But for some reason I just feel, not right."

"I wouldn't expect you to." Her face screwed with confusion and he only squeezed her tighter. "Arcee, we were taken to a universe that turned us into humans. . . You could say that we've experience both sides, life will never go back to being the same." She sighed and pushed back tears.

"I know that, but I just felt that the transition back would be easier since. . You know, this is our true selves. . Even my sisters have transitioned better than me."

"I think they might be taking this harder than you. . I've been making sure, Ratchet keeps a keen optic on them and he's noticed that they have all been acting depressed in their own ways."

"You think I'm depressed?" Her tone almost sounded offended.

"No, I think you just have to get familiar with your surroundings again. As I said, nothing will ever be the same."

"Nothing?"

Optimus paused and she almost turned squeamish with anticipation. "Not everything. . . One thing will always stay the same."

"And what's that?" He kissed the top of her head and she rested it against his chest, this time more cozily.

"I will, not matter what, always love you." Optimus looked down to see that Arcee had fallen into recharge, but he knew she'd heard him before going into it. He smiled and rested his back against the wall, he needed recharge himself; the past week had been busy, but he knew that this coming week was going to get worse until the girls were fully situated into their new lives.

Shutting off his optics, Optimus finally fell into recharge, his arms firmly holding onto Arcee for safe keeping.

Poor, Brittnianne, girls gone through some crap, well everyones got something there dealing with and it was about time we learned a little bit about her problems, 'cause little Miss. Princess ain't so perfect.

And poor Arcee as well, sounds like she's got a mild case of depression. She's strong though and will break through it! At least she had Optimus by her side to protect her and tell her it's going to be alright. :-)
