Ch.2
It's funny, you'd think having been here before she would've found it rather boring to be, once more, at this dinky little manor I call home. Or at least the piece of the building I lived in myself. Granted though It is rather large. Though with all that space it felt incredibly lonely…it had been since mother passed. At the head of the limo my driver Laurence had announced our arrival. I glanced back behind us into the rear window where I watched as my father's limo split off down a separate path towards the main estate where I have been informed that me and Akko will be required to dine with him. In speaking of Akko, I turned to observe her. Earlier the poor girl, stiff as a tree, was pulled into the limo to sit next to me whereupon I rested my arm over her shoulder if only to convince my father.
I had a difficult time explaining the situation later to a fuming Akko who continually beat her fists against my ribcage. For a girl not much younger than myself she was rather strong as after that beating I expect quite the number of bruises to form. She fired question after question at me with rapid fire succession after that which I honestly did my best to answer. When she was finally satisfied she eventually sat back and held her chin a small smirk growing on her face. At first, I thought she might be concocting a plan of her own to take advantage of the situation. I knew that despite what everyone thought, Akko wasn't a complete dolt and often had moments of brilliance that showed itself at the oddest of time. That is until I fallowed her line of sight. She was stalking the minibar as if she were a wolf and it a very meaty little doe. As of now though, she was currently passed out in the seat beside me in a food coma. After using my tie to wipe the spare chocolate off of her face that still lingered there I began to shake her in attempt to wake her. However, no matter how hard I shook, she would not awake.
Attempting to think something up quickly I made an unfortunate decision…though at the time I supposed it seemed less embarrassing. So, I unbuttoned the first few buttons of my shirt and tossed my hair about until it looked gruff and untamed. Then I loosened my tie slightly to make it look as if it were being played with. Then just to sell it I took off my jacket and drew it over her shoulders. Afterwards I picked her up and opened the door myself. As we exited I couldn't help but smirk at the gob smacked expressions on each of the manor's staff members as we passed. Let them think what they will or spread the rumors they wish. All that matters is that it made my plan out to be legitimate. I'm sure Akko would agree…right?
