Hello again! This time I've attempted to being in some plot. Let's see if it works XP.

Poke-ball 5: Rebellion

"You gonna lie around and do nothing all day?"

Blue appeared confused by Red's words. Well, okay, he'd just woken up. With the help from a nip and a shock from Pikachu no less. Still, he expected Blue to be more alert. Oak's farm was a sleepy place, but Blue never took naps. Ever.

"…You wanna battle now?" Blue asked, which Red thought was the stupidest question ever. He always wanted to battle. But that wasn't why Red was here today, so he shook his head.

Blue seemed even more puzzled. Fair enough.

Red plopped down next to Blue, and his little Eevee hopped over to him happily. He ruffled the top of its head and it pounced onto its lap, where it tugged at his shirt with its teeth and growled playfully. Pikachu, perched on Red's shoulder, had sparks crackling on its cheeks as it watched. It relaxed when Red rubbed the electric mouse behind its ears.

This was life. No rules, no restrictions, no hypocrisy.

"So what are you doing here anyway?"

Red had almost forgotten about Blue. "Oh, just came to back home to get away from the League and all."

"Too many battles?" Blue asked with a smirk.

"Too much bullshit," Red replied. "Everything's lies. The leagues, the gyms, the news, all of it. That's the first honest thing I've been able to say for awhile. My TV appearances are lies too."

Blue snorted. "Yeah, I can tell. Do you even know what the term economic watershed timetable even means?"

"Nope," said Red. "Do you?"

"Not me."

Red chuckled. "Thought so." He rubbed Eevee's belly roughly, and it nibbled on his hand before licking it. Not quite fierce enough yet, but it was still young. "That's why I want to rip it all to pieces and throw it to the Houndoom. I think the Houndoom would be better leaders, don't you think?"

"Yeah, probably," said Blue.

Red smiled. "Let's do it then."

Blue cocked his head. "Do what?"

"Tear it all apart," Red explained. "Take down the League. Show everyone how they're just liars and weaklings, and that we don't need them. You've fought the Elite Four yourself, so you know how pathetic they are. And they're the strongest of the bunch. We can wipe them out easy."

Red tugged at his Eevee's tail, and it whirled around and bit hard enough to draw blood. That was better. He petted the Eevee profusely, and it lapped up the attention.

"There are rebellions everywhere, especially in Johto," Red went on. "The media isn't allowed to talk about it. But I've seen it. As their Champion I see all their dirty secrets, and they expect me not to care 'cause I'm just some stupid kid." He turned back to Blue with a smirk. "What do you say, Blue? Why don't we stupid kids show them real power?"

Funny how his old friend was being so quiet.

IIIIII

Oh boy. Is Red losing it? Or is he justified? Maybe we'll find out next time...whenever next time is, anyway.
