Percy: Age 14

I've learned a whole lot growing up and being trained by the Primordials. I can handle almost all weapons with a great amount of expertise, not mastery or anything, but with skill. Though, I've always been a bit lackluster when it came to archery. The Primordials told me that Perseus had been bad with archery, too, trying to make me feel better. It didn't really help. Things had been tough at first, really tough. I mean, my mom had died and I was alone then suddenly I'm being taken in by five all-powerful beings? Yeah, it's a lot to happen within a day, having been only six when it happened definitely didn't help, either. But, the Primordials were really patient with me. Eventually, I actually started really enjoying staying down here, took a while, but it happened, and the Primordials began working with me once I was. On top of Ananke being my homeschool teacher, they began training me to fight.

They devised a system where they each had different times where they would train me, and also different months where they'd be focusing on primary skills of mine. Like focusing on my hand-to-hand combat, using my powers alone, or just weapons. It was like my own curriculum apart from my homeschooling.

Currently, we were focusing on hunting, hand-to-hand combat, and general fighting using bows and hunting knives. But, to be honest, it was mainly Hemera kicking the absolute shit out of me in her 14-year-old form.

With that being said, let's get on to what's happening presently.

'Slash, jab, duck, rock, feint, thrust, jab-Oh, fuck' I gripped my shoulder in pain, taking a few steps back, trying to recover my balance as I'd just been shot by a dull arrow. I looked up as Hemera quickly dashed towards me, leaving me panicking to run as she was a hell of a lot quicker than me. I tried to feint and double back to possibly catch her off guard, but she didn't even hesitate and rammed right into me. I fell onto my left side and quickly threw her off of me, attempting to quickly stand for her to only tackle me back down to the ground, straddling my waist with her knife held to my throat.

She had her hair tied into a braid which rested over her shoulder, it hung down as she leaned down closer to me with a slight smirk on her lips. "Yield?" She asked ever so teasingly. I rolled my eyes before grumbling a quiet 'Yes'.

"Sorry, what was that? I couldn't hear you." She questioned, her smirk growing. She applied more pressure to the blade, making it a struggle to swallow without worrying that it'd cut me.

"I yield, Hemera," I repeated, giving her a slight glare as she smiled wider. She finally removed the blade from my neck, standing up while holding out a wrapped hand to help me up. I took it, pulling myself up then rubbing my neck where the knife had been, looking around for where Hemera had knocked my knife away to.

My attention snapped to the left of us, though, as I heard laughter and turned to see Erebus standing at the doors of the combat training area. "I just love hearing your thoughts, Percy, it's hilarious. Though, I never thought my daughter would have such a dirty mind! You should've heard what she thought whilst on top of you." He said. My eyes widened as I turned to look at Hemera, already feeling my face heat up. Hemera just glared at Erebus, removing her braid and huffing as she walked out of the training area. I crossed my arms while giving Erebus a look.

"Wow," he said to himself, "Didn't think that'd actually get her to leave, 'specially since she wasn't even thinking anything. Nyx is gonna kill me if Hemera tells her, though," I scoffed while laughing, walking up to him.

"What're you doing here, Erebus?" I asked, raising an eyebrow as I grabbed my water bottle and drunk from it.

"We all need to meet you in the conference room." He answered, beginning to turn away to leave, brushing off his black dress shirt despite not a speck of dust being on it.

I raised my eyebrow at him, "You gonna tell me what it's about?" I asked.

"I'll save it for the meeting, you've got half an hour to wash yourself off and get there." He said, taking a step out the door before turning slightly on his heel. "Oh, and watch out for sunshine there, you know how cranky she gets." He added, doing a slight salute and walking off down the hall.

I quickly made my way back to my room, took a shower, then got ready, giving myself a little extra time to clean my sword. It was double-edged and made of stygian iron, shaped a bit similar to a leaf with how it widened a bit at the bottom and middle before narrowing to a sharp point. The hilt was a dark grey with a black and silver grip, and a pattern of sea-green jewels studding it. 'Revenge' was inscribed on the hilt in Greek. It was a gift from the Primordials when I had turned twelve, and I loved everything about it.

I saw that it was 9:56 as tapped the hilt of it, watching as it shrunk back to its watch form with a small smile on my face. I stood up and walked out of the room, making my way to where the meeting was being held with my hands shoved into the pockets of my pants.

I stepped through the doorway and immediately felt anxious as they all grew quiet when I stepped inside. All the Primordials were standing around the wide table which was in the very middle which was used for a variety of different things, mainly strategic planning and demonstrations. I looked towards Chronos and Ananke, who have basically been my adoptive parents since I was 8 when I had grown especially close with them and looked up to them as role models. I've never forgotten about my real mother, though, despite the pain I feel whenever I think of her. I went up and hugged Ananke and Chronos since I hadn't been seeing them often. They were always away recently with 'secret' meeting with Lady Chaos. I nodded to the rest of them before turning where Chronos stood at the front of the room.

Chronos took a deep breath, then began, "Percy, we have found that it is finally time for you to enter the lives of the demigods and Olympians." My eyes widened and I sucked in a breath, leaning in with my hands on the table. "There are two children of Hades located at Westover Hall in Bar Harbor, Maine, we want you to go and befriend them at the dance which is going to be held tomorrow. There, if we're correct, you'll come across a trio of demigods from Camp Half-Blood and a satyr. Do not, and I mean do not kill or gravely harm any of them, no matter how much their arrogance annoys you, okay?" he asked. I begrudgingly nodded.

"Good. They may attempt to bring you with them - they should be able to sense your aura and know that you're a demigod, as well. You'll have to be wary of Artemis and her huntresses when you're there. From what we've gathered, a manticore which is trying to take the children of Hades is being hunted by them. So it's very possible you'll run into them, as well." Chronos took a breath looking tired, "At this point, I'm just spouting stuff out of nervousness for you. What are you supposed to do, Percy?"

I gave him a sympathetic smile and answered, "I'm going to the school in Maine to meet the children of Hades, I'll befriend them, have the three demigods and satyr take me with them to Camp Half-Blood, get past a run in with the Hunters of Artemis, and lastly, get rid of the manticore which the Hunters are hunting. Did I get it all?" I finished, watching as Chronos smiled and nodded.

"The basic outline, yes. You'll be leaving tomorrow. The children's name's are Bianca and Nico di Angelo. Bianca is 12 and Nico is 10." Ananke said, looking towards me.

I could feel myself getting excited. This is what I'd been training for ever since I first started. Not to mention, for the past eight years of my life, I'd only been around five other people. It's gonna be so amazing being around other people.

"Aw, look how happy he looks, even though he's supposed to end the child, Kronos, I had with Ouranos. Like a little kid in a candy shop." Gaea said. The unconscious smile I had on my face dropped and I fake a glare at her while Hemera and Erebus laughed. Ananke and Chronos still looked nervous, though.

"Mom, Dad, I'll be fine. I've practically been training for this my whole life with you guys," I said with a crooked grin on my face. They both hesitantly nodded, relaxing slightly.

"That doesn't mean we cannot worry. You're pretty good at angering gods and primordials, no matter how dangerous it is, Percy." Ananke said. I laughed, knowing how right she was.

"Soo true," Hemera commented. I laughed before beginning to leave. It was probably 10:30 now and I would need all the sleep I could get before I had to leave. I said goodbye to all of them before saluting and walking out.

Once I got back to my room, I changed and flopped down onto my bed, feeling myself practically sink into the grey sheets. I could feel a small grin on my face, thinking about tomorrow, before I fell asleep.

A/N I know it's short, but I am currently on vacation and am doing my best with the time given. I'll try to upload another chapter as soon as I can though. If you enjoyed R&R, reviews are always appreciated. That is all for now, bye.
