Later…
Melody was still unconscious at the hospital. Jax walked out of her room and met Sherlock and John.
"Good news is that she doesn't have a concussion, but she hit her head hard. Doctors say she'll be awake in a few hours,"
"What I can't understand is how a brother could do that to their sister," John said.
"Something happened to make your brother go insane didn't it?," Sherlock asked.
Jax looked at him surprised but sighed.
"Yes. You'd expect the one to go insane from lack of attention from our parents would be me, being the middle child and everything, but no. It's actually weird, after Melody was born, the three of us were actually really close when we were kids. But our parents always put all the responsibility for looking after us when they were away on Conner, and all the blame when something went wrong. Right after I started high school he just ….. snapped. When my parents, told us they were gonna send Mel to live with you while they were away, the two of made a pact to call each other if there's even a slight chance that Conner would resurface,"
"Is he gonna be alright?," John asked.
"Well their taking him to an insane asylum, so we can only hope for the best. I gotta get back to my college. Look after her alright?,"
The two nodded and Jax left. A few days later Melody was discharged from the hospital and went back to live with Sherlock and John, the two developed a stronger respect for the girl and even asked her to help on cases from now and again. Jax came to visit from time and again and Conner remained in the insane asylum.
