Disclaimer: I Do Not Own Harry Potter.
Umbridge had mysteriously vanished from Hogwarts along with all belongings. Severus Snape and many others were ecstatic about her being gone, but there was also the worry that Hermione had done something terrible.
Her friends had asked if she were involved in way but she refused to answer and she refused to answer the Professors when they asked.
It wasn't until two days after Umbridge vanishing that Hermione chose to tell Neville Longbottom what had happened and where she was.
Line Break
"You have to swear never to tell anyone ever if I tell you," Hermione said, in very serious tone voice.
"I swear never to anyone living or dead," Neville promised. "Now tell about Umbridge, please?".
"Well after my plans to kill her were constantly looked down on I decided there was only thing I could do and that was to marry off to a rich handsome Pureblood. To cut an extremely long story short Umbridge is somewhere in Italy with her new husband and I owe the Italian wizard Mafia a bunch of favours," Hermione explained, proud of her of the way she solved the Umbridge problem.
"And you don't want else to know this because?" Neville asked, curious as why she wouldn't tell everyone so they would stop asking her.
"Because then I would have to explain to Dumbledore why I am involved with Mafia again and given how everyone reacted last time I cannot be bothered to deal with the annoying did you learn nothing speech," Hermione answered, truthfully for once.
"Yeah but last time you bet Dumbledore's kidney in an illegal dragon racing this time it's totally different,"
"Funny story actually I had to promise I would in fact hand over one of Dumbledore's kidneys this time," Hermione replied sheepishly.
Line Break
Neville had broken his promise and told Dumbledore about what Hermione had done. Once again he was not happy that Hermione had offered up his kidney and just like before said there was no way anyone was getting one.
Hermione thought he was being a bit selfish, but wisely kept that to herself.
AN: That's Umbridge done and dusted from this story.
