Episode 17: Future Tensed

Plot: The time has come for the Nicktoons to travel through time to help Maxwell save the future and his father. However, the Future Eustace has a sinister plan in his enhanced brain and it's gonna take the effort of both Nicktoon groups, the adults, and an unlikely ally to protect the present and ensure a bright future.

Part 4

Meanwhile, the second Nicktoon team had made it to Strych Enterprises, only to see a psychic electric barrier surrounding the building, preventing anyone from getting in. "Wow," Junior said, looking amazed. "It's so sparkly."

"It's also dangerous." Yuki pointed out. "How are we gonna get inside?"

"Phft, please." Crash scoffed, and pointed to his head. "I got the key right here." He brushed against the ground with his foot and charged towards the barrier head first.

"Crash," Kida tried calling, "I don't think..."

But he charged at the barrier and instantly got shocked the moment he touched it, and was blown back across the ground. "Crash!" Junior cried as he and the others ran over to him while Crash lies on the ground, blackened.

Twitchy grabbed Crash by the shoulders and shook him rapidly. "Crashareyouokay? Saysomething!"

Crash woke up and choked, "That...was... AWESOME! I wanna do it again!" Yuki rolled her eyes, but was relieved that Crash was alright. But from the top window, Future Eustace spots the Nicktoons.

At Nicktoon HQ, the adults and the Nicktoons were with Eustace in the interrogation room while the Nicktoons were informing the adults of what had become of the future. When Danny arrived with Darry, the ghost boy informed them of Future Eustace's plans to invade the present. Eustace could not believe what he was hearing. "So it's true?" He asks in shock. "In the future, I replicated your neural intelligence device and used it to conquer Retroville? This is not good for my publicity."

"This is not good for any of us." Timmy pointed out. "We have some crazy guy from the future trying to take over our worlds."

Eustace frowned, looking offended. "You're talking about me, remember?"

Jimmy asked Darry, "But just how exactly is he planning to do all that?"

Darry answered, "I don't know. But it has something to do with some sort of tower thing."

"Tower?" Eustace repeated in shock, nearly going on his feet. "My cellular tower?"

"Since he's you in the future, it's technically his tower too." Tak pointed out, earning him annoyed glances from everyone. "Right..."

Jimmy turned to the Nicktoons and asked, "You said you had a plan to change all this, right?"

The four Nicktoons glanced at each other and stammered simultaneously, trying to think of another plan that doesn't involve changing history. But Eustace spoke up instead, "If I may suggest something; why don't I just give you back the schematic, Neutron? You can destroy it, and there will be no chance of me ever using it to take over the world."

While the adults see the flawlessness of the plan, the kids grit in horror, knowing that this was their plan with the same outcome. Jimmy smiled at Eustace, "I hate to admit it, but you do have a point."

"No, he doesn't!" Tammy shouts, making the adults stare at her.

"Tammy, what are you talking about?" Timmy asked, wondering why she and her friends would be against saving the future.

Tommy further explained, "You don't know just how much this would change the future."

Jimmy became solemn as he responded, "I do."

But Darry pointed out, "No, you don't! Commander, if you destroy that schematic, we'll forget all about meeting Maxwell."

Jimmy became offended and snapped, "You guys really think I don't realize that?" This made the kids fall silent as their parents stare awkwardly. Jimmy explained, "I know that preventing the bad future from ever happening will also prevent me from meeting my son from the future. But...as long as he's in a future that's safe, that's all that matters to me."

None of the Nicktoons could believe what he was saying. "But Commander..." Tammy was about to protest.

"That's enough, guys." Danny told them. "This is something he has to do. You may not understand now, but someday when you have kids of your own, you will."

"Well, I won't!" SpongeTron shouted angrily. "I already discovered the horrible future where everything changed, but I don't wanna participate in a plan that will change everything even more!"

SpongeBob looked at his robot clone sternly, "SpongeTron, stand down." He ordered.

"NO!" SpongeTron shouted defiantly. "This is one mission you can count me out of!"

"SpongeTron," Darry pleaded. "You can't." He was about to go after the robot, but Danny grabbed his arm to stop him, thinking it was best to let SpongeTron have his space.

The tense moment was ruined by Eustace clearing his throat. "If you all are done with your after school special, can we get back to figuring out what my psychic self's next move will be?"

"As much as I really hate to admit it, Eustace is right." Jimmy stated. "We know what Future Eustace is planning, but we need to know where he's going to start."

Suddenly they hear a phone ringer and Danny takes out his cellphone to read a text message. His eyes widen and he announces, "I think Tucker has a pretty good idea."

At the protected Strych Enterprises, the Nicktoon Cadets were still trying to get inside the building. Yuki took out her crystal ball and held it up. "Okay, this should work." She instructed her teammates. "Once this splits the portal open, we run through before it closes."

She rolls it like a bowling ball toward the barrier, but before it can make contact, the crystal ball suddenly floats up. "Ooh," Junior said in amazement. "How are you doing that, Yuki?"

"I'm not." Yuki replied with slight fear in her voice.

Suddenly, the crystal ball shatters into pieces and Future Eustace appeared, floating in front of them. "Well, this is a surprise." He spoke as he stared at the kids. "It's the Nicktoons, though much younger than what I'm familiar with."

"You know who we are?" Kida asked in surprise.

"Of course I do." Future Eustace spoke politely to them. "You're the Nicktoons. You may have recently just been promoted from cadet rank, but where I originate, you five have been full-fledged Nicktoons since the retirement of Darry Phantom's team."

Junior gasped in surprise. "We get to be the Nicktoons after the other Nicktoons are too tired?"

Despite this, Crash fully understood what he was saying and grew in excitement. "We're gonna be awesome in the future! Ooh, ooh! Am I a Daredevil or a stunt man in the future?"

Twitchy looked excitedly at Eustace and rapidly asked, "Arethereanynewandtastytreatsinthefuture?"

"How tall am I?" Kida curiously asked.

But Future Eustace interrupted, "Children, children, I'm afraid I cannot answer all your questions. All the information you seek about yourselves in the future is on this flash drive." He holds up the small device. "Everything I need to know about the current Nicktoons is right here."

Yuki looked slightly disturbed. "Well, that creeps me out a bit."

But Junior wanted to know, "Why did you take Max and brainwash him to be mean?"

Future Eustace smirked as he answered, "Because logically his powers are the key to my success." He gets a mad look in his eyes as he holds the sides of his head while chuckling, "I've run all the numbers in my head and they report that if I want the universe to know of my genius, I need to do whatever it sees fit." Junior stares oddly at him, seeing something familiar about the mad genius with psychic powers.

"Of course, if you dare to stop me rather than join me, I'll be forced to eliminate all of you." Future Eustace demonstrates by psychically lifting up Kida while she screamed and started to feel nauseated from being too high up.

"Let her go!" Yuki demanded as she reached into her backpack and pulled out a baseball bat.

"According to her files, this one has destructive natural abilities. Just enough to take you out." But before Future Eustace can do anything, he was shot with a green ghost ray and blown against the wall of Strych Enterprises. Kida was dropped towards the ground until Twitchy speeds over and catches her in his arms. Future Eustace quickly gets back up and stares in surprise to see the adult Nicktoons, including Eustace.

They all glare fiercely at him, but when Future Eustace stands up; he just smirks in amusement and dusts himself off. "Well, if this isn't the collection of Generation 1 out of retirement. And what's this? My past self?"

Eustace went in front of the group, standing in awe at seeing another version of himself. "You're really me from the future? You were the one I've been doing business with this whole time? The one who was guiding me on how to beat Neutron and the Nicktoons? You really possess an intelligence chip and are using it to take over Retroville?"

"That is all accurate assumptions." Future Eustace answered with a smug smile.

"This is... incredible!" Eustace shouted with enthusiasm. "If you're really me from the future, you must know the outcome of every race and every lottery drawing; including every new device and piece of technology that has yet to be invented. If we join together, we can be the most successful men in the world!"

Everyone stared at him in dismay that he would join up with the enemy for petty reasons, but Future Eustace suddenly lifts his past self in the air telekinetically and responds, "You really think that with this much power, I would squander it on lower priorities? I've run every possible outcome in my head and according to the numbers, you are obsolete." He suddenly flings Eustace across the street and he crashes onto a nearby car.

Everyone was shocked that the Future Eustace would harm his past self. But the future version suddenly levitated into air above the adults. "And if it isn't Jimmy Neutron." He said mockingly, "So desperate to stop me that you actually joined forces with my past self?"

Jimmy callously responded, "Believe me; I'm just as disturbed about it as you are. But I've heard what you've done to the future, and I'm willing to work with anyone if it means stopping you. So I'll only ask once: where is Maxwell?"

Future Eustace laughed and answered, "I have him on a little errand. You should be proud; he has made himself useful."

Hearing what he has done with his son, Jimmy growled in fury and recklessly charged at Future Eustace. "Jimmy, no!" Danny called out.

While SpongeBob was helping Eustace to his feet while the latter was in pain from the impact, they gasp when Jimmy is lifted into the air and pulled toward Future Eustace.

"I'm not surprised, Neutron." Future Eustace sadistically said. "You have so much love for your child in your mind, knowledge of electrical wiring, pride regarding your intellect and success, and an enjoyment of mustard."

Jimmy was in stunned silence by how much he knew about him. Future Eustace continued, "I know what you asked for on your fifth birthday, every woman you ever dated, how you feel pressured from leading the Nicktoons but refuse to admit it to yourself, your sweet tooth, your ticklish spot, the password to your computer is your wedding date...on Mars, and sometimes you ponder to yourself...just how much different or better things would be if you grew up with average intelligence."

Still in stunned silence and unable to speak, Timmy asks, "Have you been stalking Jimmy his whole life?"

"No, Timmy," Tak corrected, "He stole all that stuff out of the future Jimmy's mind, remember?"

Remembering what she heard about Jimmy's fate in the future, Yuki yelled to Future Eustace, "Let him go! We aren't gonna let you turn our Commander into a vegetable!"

However, Future Eustace just chuckled and responded, "Oh, I'm not gonna steal information that I already have." His gains a psychotic smirk and tightens his fist. "I'm gonna steal his life!" As he was still hoisted in midair, Jimmy suddenly gags violently, and gripped at his neck that he could feel a strong hold on.

"Jimmy!" Yuki cried out. "Nicktoons, let's help him!" She and her teammates charge towards Future Eustace, except Junior, who still stood there, looking mystified as he stared at Future Eustace.

"Twitch, launch me!" Crash shouted as he jumped in Twitchy's arms, and the squirrel spun at top speed before launching Crash into the air at Future Eustace. Before he could even touch Future Eustace, Crash was frozen in midair and pushed back, colliding into Twitchy.

Seeing what happened to his sons, SpongeBob screamed and jumped toward Future Eustace with a karate kick, but he too was psychically stopped and thrown into Timmy. Seeing Jimmy's face turning blue from lack of oxygen, Danny disappeared and reappeared next to Jimmy, grabbing hold of him and disappearing with him out of Future Eustace's grasp. Danny reappeared next Tak with an unconscious Jimmy.

"He's okay." Danny noted as he handed Jimmy to the shaman. "Keep him safe."

Timmy was trying to attack Future Eustace with his Star Flinger, and Kida fired magic blasts from her staff, but he protected himself with a psychic shield. Yuki ran toward Future Eustace from behind with the baseball bat, but he quickly spotted her and threw her backwards next to Junior. Noticing him still standing there, she bitterly suggested, "You can help, you know?"

Junior grew timid and stammered, "But...I don't know, it feels like..."

As he deflected the Nicktoons' attacks, Future Eustace stated, "While I am enjoying myself here, it's time I finalize this endeavor." He spots Junior sneaking away by himself and generates psychic electricity in hand before firing a large blast at the little sponge. But to everyone's shock and horror, Eustace jumps in front of Junior and is hit with the blast instead.

Future Eustace did not seem alarmed at all and just watched his past self fall to the ground in front of Junior. Yuki then turns to Future Eustace and yells, "You just hurt yourself in the past. Don't you realize what that can mean for you?"

In response, Future Eustace just laughs it off. "Your brains are too minimal to comprehend, so I'll just clarify; with my powers and intelligence, I am the past, I am the present, and I am the future. Soon I'll be the one and only Eustace Strych overseeing all time periods." He laughs like a mad man again and teleports away, leaving the Nicktoons with both Jimmy and Eustace unconscious from their injuries.

In Amity Park, Darry's Nicktoon team answered the distress call from Tucker. They find the mayor outside City Hall, looking at the roof where someone was constructing a large antenna tower on top. When they arrive, Tucker turns to them and says, "Thank goodness you're all here. There's someone putting a radio antenna up there. I think it's your friend." Darry, Tammy, and Tommy look up and gasped to see it was Maxwell using his psychic powers to bolt down the antenna tower onto the roof. Strangely, he was now levitating with his psychic powers.

"It is Max." Tammy said, looking upset over him still working for Future Eustace.

Darry narrowed his eyes and flew up to Maxwell, who had put the finishing touches on the antenna. "Hey Max," Darry callously greeted, "I guess your ego has inflated so much you can fly now."

But Maxwell turned his head towards Darry, greeting him with a furious scowl. "Scottie..." He sneered. He fired psychic electricity at him, but Darry dodged and flew back to Tammy and Tommy. Maxwell floated over to them and asked, "What are you doing here? Didn't you learn your lesson about interfering last time?"

Tammy clasped her hands together and pleaded, "Max, please listen to us. You're being controlled by Eustace. We miss you, Nano misses you, your parents miss you."

"No!" Maxwell yelled in fury. "I hate you. I hate the Nicktoons. Eustace is my only parent."

Tommy frowned, shouting, "He's just using you! He wants you to construct these tower thingys for him! Do you even know why?"

"Of course I do! He's gonna use all his mental prowess and energy to extract all the intelligence from every living being in all five of your worlds!" But Maxwell's eyes widen once he realizes the information he just divulged.

Darry smirked in satisfaction. "It looks like Max is still in there and he wants us to stop you."

"I no longer identify as that. I'm a Strych now, and every one of you will respect me!"

But Tammy continued to try and plead with him, "But we already respected you, Max. We don't wanna fight you."

Smirking, Maxwell responds, "That just simplifies my objective." He fires psychic lightning at them, but Darry protects everyone with a ghost shield.

The three were prepared to fight him, armed with their weapons, when Tommy pleaded one last time, "Don't make us do this, Max. You don't really wanna fight us."

"Then I will." Future Eustace's voice spoke as he closed his right fist and the ground beneath the Nicktoons crumbled until it collapsed. They fall into a large hole, except for Darry and Poof who were hovering. They look into the large pot hole to see Tammy and Tommy unconscious in the debris and the ghost and fairy glare at Future Eustace before charging at him with fists and rattle.

But Future Eustace nonchalantly held his hand out and shocked Darry and Poof with electricity until they too fell beneath the ground unconscious. Maxwell floated over to them and stared at Darry coldly. He was about to stomp on his head until Future Eustace stopped him.

"No, Maxwell," he instructed. "We must proceed with our objective."

Maxwell approaches Future Eustace and complained, "But Father, the Nicktoons are right here defenseless. We could eliminate them right now."

"You are correct. But by doing so, their fathers and allies will soon be on our tails and will only hinder us in our plan to take over the remaining worlds. Follow my instructions and in several hours you will have your vengeance against the Nicktoons."

Soon, he began to understand and nodded in response, "Yes, Father." Maxwell grabs Future Eustace's hand and they both teleport away.

"Help me, Dad! Please help me!"

Suddenly, Jimmy Neutron jolts up in alarm, having thought he heard his son's voice. But upon settling down, he realizes he is laying in a bed at the infirmary in Nicktoon HQ. He turns to a corner of the room to see the Nicktoons sitting next to each other, keeping an eye on him, and Tak gave a sheepish wave.

"Jimmy!" Cindy shouted in relief. "You're okay!" She jumped into his arms and kissed him.

"I'm okay too, you know." Eustace mentioned, lying in the other bed next to Jimmy, smiling playfully at Cindy.

Cindy rolled her eyes and sarcastically responded, "Yeah, great."

But SpongeBob walked over to the billionaire with a friendly smile. "Well, I for one am grateful to Eustace for saving my son's life." He held a hand out to him, "And for that, I say bygones."

Eustace shook SpongeBob's hand and mentioned, "I only did it so you can get my business building back."

Suddenly, there was a "poof" and from out of the pink cloud of smoke, a weakened Darry Fenton, Tammy, Tommy, and Poof appear in the third bed. "Darry!" Danny cried in worry as he and Timmy rush to their kids.

"Tammy, Tommy," Timmy began asking. "What happened?"

Sitting up with scratches and bruises on his body, Darry answered, "It was Maxwell. We tried talking to him, but Eustace showed up."

Jimmy frowned when he heard this. "He must be putting his plan into action."

Eustace was even surprised. "A cellular tower in each world? I've wanted to expand my company, but this is a little insane."

"And he's using our son to forward his own goals." Cindy added as she lightly cries into Jimmy's shoulder. "How can someone do this?"

"How can YOU do this?" Tammy glared at Eustace with Timmy having to hold her back.

Eustace could not even come up with a response for his older self's behavior. But the tense moment was interrupted by the door swinging open and Junior running in crying hysterically. "Junior," SpongeBob says in concern as his youngest son runs into his arms. "What's wrong?"

Between sobs, Junior answers, "My friends are being mean to me because I didn't fight the future Eustace."

"Well, you should have!" Tommy yelled, just as annoyed as Junior's team probably was. "He's the cause of all this!"

Timmy had to hold him back as well, but Junior proceeded to explain, "I was just scared. Seeing the Future Eustace flying around and being mean reminded me of how I was when I had that brain chip in my head; and how I was so mean to everybody just cuz I was smarter than everyone else."

Hearing Junior, Jimmy's eyes suddenly widen in realization. "Wait! Junior, say that again."

"It was so scary. There was stuff in my head that I don't even understand what it means now."

"No, no, no, you said that you were not entirely in control of your actions." Jimmy continued to ponder over this, but then he turns to Eustace, "Eustace, what components did you put in that device while you were constructing it?"

Eustace answered, "Well, that was up to the work of my scientists. They would always tell me that the many components they had could not be compatible with the neural implants of the brain. But since my competitors were already rolling out with new devices, I told them to use whatever they had and step on it."

Danny did not seem amused by what Eustace described, "You mean you were gonna sell electronic devices to the public without knowing how they work?"

"Of course not. I do test them out first. That's what SpongeBob Jr. was for."

SpongeBob seemed even less amused than Danny. "Those bygones are coming back..."

"But it does explain everything." Jimmy mentioned, "Everything about the future."

"Hold on," Cindy said in disbelief. "You're saying that the Future Eustace is wearing his own neural intelligence device that is driving him crazy?"

Junior shrieked in fright, "Eeeek! Poor Eustace! He's probably as scared and sorry as I was!"

"How sane was he before he got the chip?" Tommy sarcastically asked, causing Eustace to glare at him.

"Sooo..." Tammy started wondering, "If we take off that intelligence device, then the Future Eustace will stop trying to take over the world?"

"It's our best bet." Jimmy said with a confident smile. "I'll formulate another plan and..." He trailed off when he noticed his wife and friends staring at him awkwardly. "What?"

Timmy pushed Danny forward and whispered, "You tell him. You're still second-in-command."

Danny rolled his eyes at being the one forced to deliver the news, but he did anyway, "Jimmy... we've been talking and we decided that it would be best if you sit this one out."

"What?!" Jimmy asked in shock. "But why?"

Eustace grinned and enjoyed the show as Danny further explained, "You're still worried about Maxwell. So much that you're being reckless and almost got killed because you still feel sorry for yourself. So you should just stay here and let us stop Future Eustace and save Maxwell."

"You can't be serious." Jimmy said with an unamused expression as he turned to everyone. "You all really feel this way?"

The adults all fall in awkward silence while Darry, Tammy, Tommy, and Junior look away, feeling just as guilty about the whole thing as their fathers.

"We all agreed on it, Jimmy." Cindy intervened as she places a gentle hand on his cheek. "We're only doing this for your own good. Besides, that Future Eustace knows everything about you, probably stuff that you don't know about yourself yet. So, it would be too dangerous for you to be out there."

Jimmy was dumbfounded by this. "But...but...who is gonna lead?"

Eustace stood up from his bed and loosened his tie while wearing a satisfied smile. "While this is a heavy burden, I accept..."

"Sorry, not happening." Timmy interrupted. "Cindy has already agreed to be leader."

Tak added, "She did a great job leading the Nicktoons, she can lead all of us so we can beat the Future Eustace."

She held Jimmy's hands and assured them. "We'll have Maxwell back before you know it."

But Jimmy did not seem encouraged and just looked more depressed. "That proves it then. Not only have I failed as a father, but as a leader as well." He got up from the bed and marched out the door silently.

Everyone watched sadly at their leader and friend, until Eustace ruined the moment, "Guess my future self really does know more about him than he does."

The early next morning at SpongeBob's house, Buster was sitting on the couch, hugging his knees as he watched a news report on TV that showed the Krusty Krab, only it now had a large antenna tower on top of the sign, and a barrier that prevented anyone from entering the restaurant.

He looked uncomfortable at the reason why he, his father, and Squidward couldn't go to work today. But he was suddenly comforted by Junior sitting next to him on the couch, Crash sitting on the right side of him, and Twitchy peering out from behind them. Buster cracked a bit of a smile and they watch TV together to see the progress that's going on.

In the Pupununu Village, an equally curious Kida stared out the window of her hut to see the antenna that had been placed at the top of the Juju Temple. No villager dared to go near it, and not even Kida was allowed to examine it and Jeera prevented temptation by moving her away from the window and closing the drapes.

In Amity Park, the antenna still stands on top of City Hall. On top of a building across from it, Darry Phantom sat there, eyeing it, and looking disappointed that he and his friends failed to stop it from being built.

He feels his phone vibrate in his pocket and takes it out, seeing a text message from his father, reading, "Time to go"; meaning they now had to go to Retroville to start their mission. With reluctance, he stood up and started heading home.

In Dimmsdale, Tammy and Tommy sat on the couch of their living room, with Poof looking like a cat, laying depressively on Tommy's lap and Tammy holding Nano in her palm. They watch the news, which showed another large antenna on the top of Dimmsdale Elementary.

Timmy comes in, noticing their depressed faces and sits on the couch between them. "Why the long faces?" He asked. "I thought you'd both be happy that school was cancelled."

Tommy dourly answered, "Max goes to school with us."

Tammy concluded, "What's the point if he can't be here to celebrate with us?"

Timmy put his arms around his children and assured them, "Listen, I know how hard it is right now with the Future Eustace trying to take over our worlds and Maxwell in danger. But I know for sure that even though it seems hopeless, things will work out in the end."

"Really?" Tammy and Tommy both asked hopefully.

"Of course. I can tell you from experience about the many times I felt that things were hopeless. But I had Jimmy, SpongeBob, and all my friends beside me, just like you have your friends with you as well."

Both feeling better, Tammy and Tommy hug their father with their fairies getting in on the action. Nano even hops on the ground and runs around in circles, excited at the thought of getting his friend back.

Meanwhile in Retroville, the Strych Enterprises building was still locked down by Maxwell's psychic shield. From his office, Future Eustace stared out the large window, pressing his right hand on the glass. "Look at this place." He said coldly, his exhausted bloodshot eyes reflecting in the glass. "So primitive, so unknowing, so unbecoming. It will be fortunate once I eradicate all these ignoramuses and take my rightful place as ruler."

Maxwell stood behind him and mentioned, "But Father, I've run the statistics on the machine. So much knowledge from every citizen from each of the five worlds could be an extraordinary amount to withhold."

Narrowing his eyes in anger, Future Eustace answers, "Of course I do, my son." But he turns around with a sly smile on his face as he kneels down to Maxwell, "Which is why you're going to help me by withholding a fraction of the information within your own cerebrum."

"Me?" Maxwell asked in shock at what he was being asked to do. "But...but the results..."

Future Eustace stops him by holding his shoulder and reminding him, "Maxwell, don't forget I fully trust you. Would Neutron or any of your former comrades have believed that you can accomplish such a complex task?"

Maxwell thought it over and, thanks to his manipulated memories, could not believe his friends would ever trust him to do anything on his own. So with a determined frown, he nodded and responded, "I'll do it."

Future Eustace smirked in satisfaction, saying, "That's my boy."

At Nicktoon HQ, the final one getting ready for the mission was Cindy, wearing white shorts, a blue tank top, and brown boots. She turned to see Jimmy slouching on the couch next to SpongeTron, in the same position as Jimmy, holding a can of oil. Seeing them loaf around, Cindy glared and marched over to them. "Jimmy!" She snapped, "Don't forget to do those chores I told you about, and look after the baby."

With a depressed sigh, Jimmy responds, "Got it."

Cindy then turns to the robot and asks, "SpongeTron, are you really not coming along? Your team needs you, your friends need you."

Like Jimmy, SpongeTron sighs with depression and responds, "What's the point? I saw the future already. No matter what we do, it's gonna stay the same; I won't have friends anymore."

"Ugh, I don't have time for this!" Cindy yelled in frustration. "I'll call if we need help, which I hope we won't need from you slumps."

She soon left, leaving the genius and robot alone. Jimmy sighs and slouches down even further. "Gas planet... I should be out there leading the teams."

"Trust me, no you don't." SpongeTron mentioned. "In the future, you can't do anything to help anyone. At least you can escape your fate. I can't."

Suddenly, they hear Max crying in his room, having just woken up from a nap. Jimmy was about to stand from the couch until SpongeTron stopped him. "Don't get up." He informed the commander. "I'll grab Max for you."

Jimmy relaxes again as SpongeTron walks toward the baby's room. But Jimmy sighs again and utters, "I hope the others get along without me."
