Chapter 18

Sesshomaru looked down at the folded up piece of paper in his hand then back up to the retreating woman. Once Kagome was out of his sight he looked back down to the paper and unfolded it. A smile graced his face as he read the words that was neatly written on the paper.

-Call or text me ***-***-**** ( text first, I don't answer unknown numbers.) Can't wait to hear from you. *smiles.*-

Reaching in his pocket for his phone but cursed when it wasn't there. 'Shit, that's right. It's in my office.' He thought. He finally moved from the dance floor and made his way to his office, smiling the whole way.

He was in a good mood but he had a feeling that everything was going to turn upside down, because that was always his luck. Before he got to his office he stopped a couple of his employees to find out if they knew of Jaken's whereabouts. 'He's probably hiding because he knows he messed up. But then again Kagura most likely threatened him if he didn't let her in. Well I'll find out when I find him.' He thought. As Sesshomaru turned the corner to his office he noticed the gaurd that he needed to speak to standing there by door on his phone waiting patiently. The gaurd looked up and spoke.

"Took you long enough. I thought once you seen me you would be here before I would."

"Well seeing how you work for me I don't have to answer to you. But I do apologize that I kept you waiting, I was... preoccupied." Sesshomaru said as he unlocked his office door and walked in with his gaurd right behind. Once inside the room Sesshomaru removed his hair tie making his hair flow freely, also his demon markings show. 'Even though demons and humans coexist and demons don't have to hide but some people still like to stare.' He sighed in his thoughts.

" Still wearing that charm I see. Does it bother you that much for people to see the real you?" His gaurd said behind him.

"I don't like people staring. It's not like the charm hides the fact that I'm a demon just the markings." Sesshomaru muttered as he turned to his gaurd.

"Funny that you mention something about a charm hiding something." His gaurd gave a sarcastic laugh.

"What are you talking about?" He walked to his desk and picked up his phone and quickly put Kagome's number in and sent a message so she would have his number in return.

"Well as I was walking around the building, like I'm supposed to. I overheard a very interesting conversation before I turned the corner." The gaurd grinned knowing his boss was getting aggravated because he wasn't giving specific information.

"Shippo, you know I don't like these games." Sesshomaru said in a serious voice.

"Ok, ok. When I was patrolling my area I seen Kagura get in a small red car. It must have been her new toy or something because after she got in she kissed him. But then the guy asked if you suspected anything for their plan. I believe Kagura said his name was Naraku." Shippo explained.

'Why does that name sound familiar?' Sesshomaru thought but was brought out of his thoughts when his phone buzzed. It was Kagome, he quickly replied and looked up at Shippo and spoke. "Continue."

"Well she said that you couldn't tell because of a dog charm on her charm bracelet. She said that..." Shippo stopped talking making Sesshomaru look up from his phone.

"She said what Shippo?" He asked not sure if he wanted to know the answer. He watched his guard swallow hard like he was trying to take a large pill with nothing to drink.

"She said that you were still under the impression that the baby she is carrying is still yours. The guy said you won't be able to tell as long as she wears that charm. I don't know what their plan is, maybe a way to get money, I don't know. They didn't say but those idiots revealed all that information outside your club with the windows down noless. But one thing is certian though old friend. You Are Not The Father." Shippo tried to make it sound like was Maury.

There was a silence, pure utter silence well except the muffled beat of the music.

"Are you ok boss?" Shippo asked.

"That BITCH!" Sesshomaru growled looking up, his eyes almost red then his phone buzzed in his hand making him look. He instantly relaxed after reading the words on the screen.

-OH Hey! *smiles* I have good news for you mister. Can you guess what it is? *giggles*-

With his eyes back to normal he looked up at Shippo and asked.

"Does anyone else know of this."

"No, as soon as they pulled away I came in to talk to you about it." He answered.

"Ok, this doesn't leave this room. I need to figure out what to do and how I'm going to handle it. Understand?" Sesshomaru said.

"Yes Sir, I understand. I must say, whoever the woman is that you are texting must be somthing. For her to relax you when you are on the brink of losing control of your demon." Shippo whistled. He was going to continue but Sesshomaru growled giving him the que that it was time for him to leave.

Once his gaurd left Sesshomaru sat there taking everything he heard in. 'What are they planning.' He pondered then he looked back to his phone and replied to the text he got minutes ago.

"Yeah she really is something. Now I just need to get to know her." He said to himself.
