Chapter 19

After the third shot was down Kagome started to feel the effects of the alcohol and quickly realized she needed to pace herself for the rest of the night.

"Hey Sssango, I think I'm going to cool it for the a little. I don't want to get too drunk." Kagome said a little too loudly.

"Awww come on! We're just getting started. Wait where did Miroku go?" Sango rambled forgetting that her friend told her that she was done drinking. She was just as drunk as Kagome if not more.

"Sango chill. He told you he had to use the restroom then he had to find Inuyasha because he is your boy toy's roommate." Kagome said to remind her of what she obviously forgot.

"Ohhhh... That's right. My bad." Sango giggled.

Both friends went silent after that then started to listen to the current song the DJ was playing. Sango was standing by the table, with her eyes closed swaying to the beat. Kagome started to sway as she watched her friend but then jumped when something buzzed on her hip. Her drunken self giggled as she realized that it was her phone. She wasn't even thinking about who could be possibly texting her this late at night so she just opened it and smiled instantly.

- Hey clumsy. Hopefully me texting you didn't make you fall. Lol. Sessh-

Kagome remembered when he introduced himself he said that if he considered someone a friend they could call him Sessh. Her smile seemed to widen as her thumbs started to glide along her phones keyboard.

-Hey I'm not always clumsy. But I'm currently sitting so I'm safe from falling for right now. But I can't make any promises for later even though you're not here to catch me. K-

After hitting send she saved his number in her contacts. 'Really Kagome, can you be anymore obvious.' She thought as she reread her text wondering if he will think there was a hidden meaning in her words. When she looked up from her phone she noticed Sango was gone. She looked around trying to locate her friend and then caught sight of her on the dance floor with Miroku dancing rather closely.

She decided she didn't want to inturrupt their moment so she just sat there at the table waiting for her phone to go off. A few seconds passed and her phone buzzed. 'Ask and you shall recieve, now if only that went for other things.' She silently laughed as she opened the new message.

-We don't want that now do we? I guess you'll just have to wait for me to fall, just so I can catch you. *wink* -

Her breath caught in her chest and she instantly blushed. 'Whoa... Wait... I wonder if there's any hidden meaning there. I guess there is only one way to find out.' She pondered. In her drunken state she shrugged it off, for now, and went on to type her response. Then she remembered that she had to tell him about dinner.

-OH Hey! *smiles* I have some good news for you mister. Can you guess what it is? *giggles*-

Kagome sat her phone on her lap awaiting a reply and sighed contently. Song after song played and she sat there swaying to each one, then her phone went off twice. When she opened her messages she noticed two texts, one from Sessh and the other from an unknown number. 'Who could that be?' She questioned but decided to open Sesshomaru's messagge first.

-Sorry it took me so long to reply, one of my employees needed to talk to me and gave me some interesting information. But what would this good news be? Sessh-

-Well I talked to Sango and she said she'll cover me tomorrow. *smiles* Kagome-

She replied instantly, then decided to open the unknown message.

-I see you, do you see me Kagome?-

Kagome gasped with the feeling like her heart dropped into her stomach. With wide eyes she started to look around not knowing who she was looking for.
