Chapter 20

Sesshomaru sat at his desk still pissed and yet relieved at the same time, pissed because he was being lied to for months and for what, he had no clue. But he was relieved because he had just found out that he was not the father of that unborn child. 'What would she have done when the baby was born and he or she didn't look anything like me?' He thought. 'Something definitely needs to be done but it's going to have to wait, I need to find out what she wants.' He was drawn from his thoughts when his phone went off.

-Well I talked to Sango and she said she'll cover me tomorrow. *smiles* Kagome-

His heart skipped a beat, which rarely happened, as he read the words on the words on the tiny screen, he couldn't help but to smile. He hit reply and began to type.

-That's great to hear. What time is good for you? And where should I pick you up? Sesshomaru-

He hit send and sat his phone on his desk waiting patiently for a reply. A few minutes went by and there was no reply. 'She must be dancing.' He thought. He spent a few minutes doing paperwork for the club, filling out forms to order more alcohol, more food. He shifted some papers and he saw that the D.J needed power cords and more discs for more music, he looked around his office and sighed. His phone buzzed and to be honest for the first time in a long time he got excited to pick up his phone but before he could pick it up there was a knock on the door.

"Sesshomaru Sir, I was told you were looking for me." Jaken said as he popped his head into the office. Sesshomaru signaled him to come in and sit in the seat on the other side of his desk.

"Yes Jaken I have been looking for you. And do you know why I have been looking for you?" Sesshomaru said in a serious tone.

"I w..w..w...wwould assss...ssssume it is work related ssss...ssssir." Jaken stuttered.

"Well Jaken, the reason I have been looking for you is because when I got to work today someone let my bitch of an ex in here without my permission, and the only other person other than myself has has keys to this office is you. So would you like to explain that to me?!" Sesshomaru all but shouted.

"Shit. My apologies sir, I was going to inform you when you got here but something happened near the bathroom that needed immediate attention. But she told me that she'd get me fired if I didn't let her in so she could sit down. To be honest sir she scares the hell out of me. And I didn't want to lose my job, it's all I got to pay my bills. Please forgive me." Jaken pleaded. Sesshomaru sensed no lies coming the scared imp.

"Look Jaken I'm not going to fire you. And for future reference, she has no power here, only me. So this will be your only warning. Never let her in my office again, are we clear?!" Sesshomaru spoke sternly. Jaken nodded his head over and over agreeing with his boss grateful that he wasn't that harsh on him.

"Good, now that we got that cleared up you may leave, if there is any problems that you can't handle just call me or one of the guards." Sesshomaru said to his head manager while going back to the paperwork on his desk.

"Yes sir." Jaken mumbled, knowing his boss would hear him, as he left the office.

Once Jaken left he sat there doing more paperwork until his phone buzzed catching his attention then he remembered that he got a message right before Jaken knocked. He grabbed his phone and put in his pin to unlocked it, he saw that he had two messages. The first was from Kagura, the second was from Kagome. He touched on Kagura's name first, he wanted to rip that bandaid off quickly and get it over with.

-Sesshy-poo, I'm having cravings, can you go and bring me pizza with extra extra olives. Kagura-

He replied instantly.

-No. And I think it's time we talked. Tomorrow I'll text you the time and place. SESSHOMARU NOT SESSHY-

No sooner did he send his text he got a reply.

-What do you mean no... You do realize that it's your baby that is giving me these cravings right. Kagura-

He wanted nothing more than to reveal that he knows that she is lying but thought better of it and just replied back to her.

-I am working woman. If you want that so bad go and get it or order it online and have it delivered or just ask someone else. So now leave me alone, we will speak tomorrow. Sesshomaru-

He waited a few minutes before clicking out of that text message and then smiled when he seen Kagome's name in bold letters, showing he had not opened her text yet. He touched her name in turn making their conversation pop up along with her new message.

-How does 7:30-8:00 sound to you? If not and you want to go sooner just let me know. And seeing how we just met today I'm going to say you can pick me up at my bakery. Kagome-

He sat at his desk quietly typing his response with a smirk on his face. Once he sent the text he grabbed his enchanted hair tie and put his hair back up, and then walked out of his office with his phone in hand.
