Chapter 22

(Sesshomaru)

The next morning Sesshomaru woke up to the annoying sound of his phone going off. He rolled over and looked at the time. ' It's 6:00 in the morning. Who could be possibly trying to get a hold of me this early?' He thought. Just as he sat up his phone went off again from across the room. 'Why is my phone over there?' He thought but then remembered that when he got home he put everything on his dresser and practically fell and passed out on his bed. He was brought out of his thoughts with his phone going off again. Sesshomaru finally stood up and reached his arms in the air stretching making his shirt rise up showing his toned stomach. He groaned as he finished stretching and walked over to his dresser. He picked his phone up and unlocked the screen and noticed that he had thirty seven missed calls, starting from 5:00. He also seen that he had several text messages. He touched the screen to check the missed calls and instantly got pissed. All of them were from Kagura. "Why is she blowing up my phone?" Just as he spoke that out loud Kagura called again. A part of him wanted to let it ring but then he knew she wouldn't stop calling. So against his better judgement he answered.

"What is so fucking important that you had to call me thirty eight fucking times and wake me up?" He all but growled at her.

"Why won't your guards let me through the gate?" She asked him. "Don't you know who I am?" She yelled at the guard.

"They are following my orders. You are not welcome here. Now leave." He commanded.

"But baby, You said you wanted to talk to me so I thought I'd come over. Maybe it could end up like old times." She tried to sound seductive.

"I also told you that I'd tell you where we'd meet. Don't ever assume you are welcome here. Now I'll meet you at the 'Dine-In Diner' in a hour. Oh and Kagura." He said.

"Yes baby?" She spoke.

"I am not your baby, We are no longer dating so please refrain from calling me as such. Oh and you ever come here again I will have you arrested. Do you understand?" Before he could hear her reply he hung up. He stood there looking at his phone hoping she wouldn't call back. He started going through the text messages and spotted one from his lawyer. He had almost forgotten that he messaged him last night. He opened the text and reread the message he had sent him, telling him everything that he came to find out and asked him if he'd be able to go to the diner. His lawyers text read.

-That is probably for the best, if what you say is true and you can prove it then you can take legal action. Just inform me what time so I can be there before you two arrive.-

Sesshomaru smiled as he replied back to his lawyer telling him that he told Kagura to meet him in a hour. After hitting send he went through his other messages. One was from his half brother, asking if he took anyone home, knowing full well that he didn't. 'Why does he insist on asking me this everyday?" He thought. Another message was from his father, asking if he was going to be attending the family dinner that was in a week. He ignored both messages and continued checking his texts. One was from Jaken telling him he had to call a plumber because a drunk thought it was a good idea to flush pictures and other items from his ex down the toilet. This made him sigh, and sent a quick reply. He scrolled down hoping that the last unread text was from Kagome and smiled when he saw her name in bold signifying a unopen message.

-Hey there, Good morning. I'm not sure when you wake up and I hope my message doesn't wake you up. *giggles* But anyways I wanted to thank you for last night. As a payment for the free drinks, stop by the bakery and get a coffee or tea, whichever you prefer and a pastry, on the house.- K

Sesshomaru read and reread her message a few times and decided not to reply, to just show up instead. He walked into his personal bathroom and looked in the mirror. He practially jumped out of his skin for he seen himself and not his true seld. That's when he realized that he had slept with his charmed hair tie in. He normally took it off after he got home and locked the door. He walked over to the shower and turned it on. After a few minutes he checked the water to make sure it was the right temperature. He then walked back to the mirror and sink right below it. His mind was soring, he had a date later that night and he didn't know what to do. He had dated Kagura for so long he only knew what it took to please her. So now he had to start all over because he could already tell that Kagome is nothing like Kagura. Sesshomaru looked up from the sink and smiled at himself. He reached up and watched as he removed the hair tie, his demon markings appeared on his face. He set the hair tie on the counter by the sink then started to unbotton his dress shirt. His muscular toned chest was to show, his muscles twitch as the cool air collided with his once clothed skin. The more he unbuttoned the more his slender stomach got revealed. He took the shirt off and threw it in the laundry basket. He walked over to the shower and dropped his pants and boxers and kicked them out of the way and stepped into the shower. He let the hot water wash over his body. He quickly washed and conditioned his hair and lathered his body with soap. Quickly rinsing off, he shut the water off and stood there for a few minutes letting the water run and drip down his body. Before stepping out he reached up and wrung his hair out. He stepped out and grabbed a towel and wrapped it around his waist. He bent over and picked up his dirty clothes. After tossing them into the laundry basket by the door he turned and looked over his shoulder and into the mirror. He never made eye contacted with himself, but a birthmark on his left shoulder blade. A crescent moon with a star at the bottom tip. He frowned as he walked backed into his room. It bothered him that throughout all the years he has roamed this world he hasn't me a single person with the same mark upon their body. He thought he had found her, Kagura, but come to find out that she burned that mark on her body to get to me. 'Jokes on her, she has to live with that scar.' He thought to himself. He quickly got dressed and made his way back into the bathroom to grab his charmed hair tie. After brushing his hair of knots, he put it up in a high ponytail. When he was satisfied with how he looked he took his leave, grabbing his keys and wallet from his dresser.

Minutes later he pulled up to a local flower shop. He got only one flower, a lily. He then made his way to the bakery. When he got there he went inside and seen Kagome's friend from last night. He was so caught up in his own thoughts he didn't here the bell ring when he walked into the building. He was drawn from his thoughts when Kagome's friend spoke.

"Good Morning. Welcome to Crescent Moon Bakery. My name is Sango, What can I get you?" Sango said then turned around.

"Oh Hey, Kagome is in the back. Want me to get her for you?" She asked.

Sesshomaru smile and nodded and waited patiently. He hid the flower behind his back. A few minutes later Sango came back out with Kagome right behind her.

"Oh Sesshomaru. Good Morning. Are you here for your free coffee and pastry? If so you didn't need to see me." Kagome said as she turned around and started to prepare him a cup of coffee. "How do you like your coffee? And what kind of pastry?"

Sesshomaru brought the flower out from behind his back. "Two creams and two sugars and whatever today's special is." He waited patiently for her to turn around.
