That night I walked up stairs and fell face first onto my bed. Classes were not that hard, and the teachers here were really weird, hell I thought the Cheerleading coach was a fury. I know that I'll have to check up on that at a later date. I flipped over onto my back and I heard a knock on my door,

"Percy can I come in?" My mom said and cracked the door open. Saying yes as she walked in. My mother looked beautiful, I am thinking getting her out of the city did her some good.

"What do you need mom." I said sitting up and giving her a kiss on the cheek. She smiled and spoke.

"I am just really happy that you were able to find people who you like, and that you are such a trooper for coming out here…". I looked down at my hands and smiled as she gave me a hug. My mom got up and walked to the door. "but mostly I came up here to yell at you for leaving your shoes out where some frail older women could trip." I laughed

"Mom if there is one thing, you're not it's frail." She nodded then picked up the shoes that she placed outside my door and threw them at me. I dodged them laughing.

"You get one freebie the next time I'm throwing them in the woods outback. Now go shower and come help me with dinner were having spaghetti." I nodded and after she left and started to undress. I got down to my boxers and grabbed my phone wanting to listen to my music. I reached for my phone on the night stand and noticed a little package. Picking it up I flipped it around to see if it had a name on it.

'Perseus' is all it said. 'well that is never a good start.' I thought as I slowly opened the container.

Inside the box was a gold chain with what looked like a little medal on it. The medal itself was about the size of a quarter and had nine sections, one with a symbol engraved and the others were blank. In the middle it looked the symbol was a sun with some arrows crossed in front of it.

My head immediately shot up, eyes wide in realization. I quickly placed the necklace back in the box closing it and started to reach for the door. 'I don't want anything from that old poet, there is always a catch." But before I could open the door the box exploded in my hands and the neckless fell into my hand burning it.

"Percy why do you have to be like this?" I turned around and saw a man in his early twenties with blond hair, looking at the sheet music Mr. Shue gave me.

"There is no way I am letting you sing this." He threw the sheet music to the side. I ran to pick it up and saw that it was. The song was Breakfast at Tiffany's.

"Oh, I can't? Why is that cousin?" I said Apollo ignored and continued going through my backpack.

"Well you see they didn't offer me anything as tribute, so, as you know this was this only hit." Apollo got up from my bed and walked over to me. "I do believe that you can do better than that, and if you can't then I might have to take that little blessing back." He pointed to my hand, where the golden necklace reappeared.

He walked over to the door and opened it. "Look cousin, I don't want you ruining the family name by not being able to sing, we are already a family of sex crazy lunatics who have children solve our problems, and then the world gets indirectly, or directly mad at them for it, but if you have talent it is a little better. We don't want to be called the Kardashians." He walked around the room looking at it.

"I see you have settled in nicely." Motioning to all the cloths that littered the floor. "Hopefully you'll be a little more organized in the year to come for what we have in store for you." He finished standing by the door." Percy I wouldn't entrust that to anyone else." Pointing once again at the neckless then in a flash of light, he was gone.

A note slowly dropped to the ground, I walked over to it and picked it. The only word on the piece of paper was Muse. I looked at the medal again thinking about the muses and what I remembered from camp and the Disney classic. There were nine of them, but then why is there only one section have an engraving?

I brought the neckless to my face again and looked at the engraving one more time. It seemed to be of an instrument, it looked like two flutes but connected at the mouth piece and a wreath. I shrugged putting the neckless on the night stand and continued toward the shower. 'no use getting a headache about it, I'll look up more info after dinner, and I walked into the bathroom

I quickly rinsed off and made myself dry putting on some short when I noticed I forgot a shirt. Walking back into my room I grabbed a shirt off the floor not noticing the figure on my bed.

"I know you are the new hero of Olympus, but damn honey you give the original a run for his drachma. I jumped around first raised ready to fight. The figure on the bed was a woman maybe in her later twenties holding some kind of object I've seen before…THE FLUTES FROM THE NECKLESS! I went to ask when she appeared right in front of my face noses almost touching,

"AHHHHhhh what the hell!" I screamed as I jumped back bumping into my shelf knocking off my radio which got turned on. The golden women quickly moved to the piece of technology in wonder. Picking it up and looking at it.

"Is this a radio? It's a lot different than I remember, but I guess that happens when you are locked away for a couple decades." Then she placed back where it originally went on my shelf. I was still freaking out internally because it just dawned on me that I had a minor goddess in my room going through my stuff and she didn't seem to be leaving anytime soon.

"Hey miss…um…" I just realized I didn't know her name "…Miss?". She looked at me and smiled. "Why I am Euterpe the muse of song and music."

And that is all remember.
