Hey guys! I'm back with another chapter of Through Time and Space! So I'm glad I'm back with this story. It's a fun story, and I love writing it. I think I know what I'm doing next maybe. I'm working through the idea. I think I'm gonna do ninth doctor next or maybe closer to the end. I think next might be better though. You guys tell me. Do you wanna see the ninth doctor again so soon? Also, you can still send me requests for episodes. Any doctor. Anyways, I'm watching GarukuBluemoon on YouTube. Enjoy the chapter!
The Christmas Invasion Part 2
I heard someone come back into the flat. I assume it's probably Rose and Mickey, but who knows at this point. I was alone for about ten minutes when Rose comes busting in.
"Kate, we're going to carry him. Mum, get your stuff, and get some food. We're going." Rose says.
"Where to?" Mickey asks.
"The Tardis. It's the only safe place on Earth." Rose says.
"What're we going to do in there?" Jackie asks.
"Hide." Rose says.
"Is that it?"
"Mum, look in the sky. There's a great, big, alien invasion, and I don't know what do, all right? I've travelled with him, and I've seen all that stuff. But when I'm stuck at home, I'm useless. Now, all we can do is run and hide, and I'm sorry. Now, move." Everyone looks to me for an answer.
"I have to protect him. He's too vulnerable right now. We're getting him to the Tardis." I say. Moving to pick him up. Rose and Mickey helps as Jackie leaves. Me, Rose, and Mickey get the Doctor into the Tardis, while Jackie carries a bunch of stuff. Stuff we probably already have in this spaceship.
"No chance either of you could fly this thing?" Mickey asks.
"No, I'm still new to this. I don't know how to fly her. I did at one point, but that's gone now. I almost died last time. There's no telling what will happen if I try again."
"So, what do we do? Just sit here?"
"Right, here we go. Nice cup of tea." I hadn't even noticed Jackie had left to the kitchen. How did she find it? I heard the Tardis hum. I patted her lightly.
"Mmm, the solution to everything." Rose says.
"Now, stop your moaning. I'll get the rest of the food." Jackie says as she leaves.
"Tea. Like we're having a picnic while the world comes to an end. Very British. How does this thing work? If it picks up TV, maybe we could see what's going on out there. Maybe we've surrendered. What do you do to it?" I start pressing some buttons to try and get the tv to work.
"I don't know. It sort of tunes itself." The scanner comes up, and there's a weird pattern on it.
"Maybe it's a distress signal." Mickey says.
"A fat lot of good that's going to do." Rose says.
"Are you going to be a misery all the time?" Mickey asks.
"Yes."
"You should look at it from my point of view. Stuck in here with your mum's cooking."
"Where is she? I'd better give her a hand. It might start raining missiles out there." Rose starts walking to the door.
"Tell her anything from a tin. That's fine." Mickey says.
"Why don't you tell her yourself?"
"I'm not that brave."
"Oh, I don't know." Rose says leaving, but then she screams. Me and Mickey run after her to find ourselves on a spaceship. Well, we just got transported, lovely. I close the door just before the aliens grab me.
"Rose. Kate! I've got you two. My Lord. The Doctor, is he with you?" I hear the voice of Harriet Jones exclaim.
"No. We're on our own." Rose says.
"The brown haired girl. She has the clever blue box. Therefore, she speaks for your planet." One of the aliens say.
"But she can't." Harriet says.
"I can." I say stepping forward.
"Kate..." Rose starts.
"I'm the Doctor's wife. I can do this." I say.
"They'll kill you." Harriet says.
"Never stopped him." I pause a moment to remember who these aliens are. "I address the Sycorax. This planet is protected. My husband has stopped invasions of this planet multiple times. When you look back at who we have defeated, you will be impressed that it was only a handful of people who stopped major invasions."
"Is that your husband?" The alien asks pointing at Mickey.
"No."
"Where's your husband now?" I stay silent. "Well, with no one to stop us. You will die."
"Leave her alone!" Harriet yells.
"Don't touch her!" Mickey yells.
"Leave her alone!" Rose yells. I notice the aliens are holding them back as the leader walks up to me.
"Did you think you were clever with your words? We are the Sycorax. We stride the darkness. Next to us, you are but a wailing child. If you are the best your planet can offer as a champion-" The leader starts.
"Then your world will be gutted." The sycrorax say. "And your people enslaved."
"He's talking English." Harriet says. Was he not speaking English? I understood him perfectly.
"I would never dirty my tongue with your primitive bile." The leader says.
"You're speaking English. You guys are hearing English right?" I ask turning to the rest.
"Yeah, that's English." Mickey says.
"I speak only Sycoraxic!" The leader exclaims.
"If you guys can hear English, then it's being translated." I say smiling at the Tardis. "Which means it's working. Which means-" Just as I was saying that the doors to the Tardis open and the Doctor walks out. I smile.
"Did you miss me?" He asks. The leader cracks his whip, but the doctor catches it and pulls it out of the leader's hand. "You could have someone's eye out with that."
"How dare!" The leader exclaims. The Doctor grabs a club from another Sycorax and breaks in across his knee.
"You just can't get the staff. Now, you just wait. I'm busy. Mickey, hello! And Harriet Jones MP for Flydale North. Blimey, it's like this is your life. Tea! That's all I needed, a good cup of tea! Superheated infusion of free radicals and tannin. Just the thing for healing the synapses. Now, firs thing's first. Be honest, how I do look?" He asks looking at me.
"Different." Rose says.
"Still as handsome as ever." I say giving him a kiss on the lips. Since we had our first kiss, I'm more comfortable with doing it.
"Am I a good different or bad different?" The Doctor asks turning to Rose.
"Just different." Rose says.
"Am I ginger?"
"No, baby still brown haired." I say.
"I wanted to be ginger. I've never been ginger, and you, Rose Tyler, fat lot of good you were. You gave up on me. Oh, that's rude. That's the sort of man I am now, am I? Rude. Rude and not ginger."
"I'm sorry. Who is this?" Harriet asks.
"I'm the Doctor." The Doctor says.
"He's the Doctor." Rose says.
"But what happened to my Doctor? Or is it a title that's just passed on?" Harriet asks.
"I'm him. I'm literally him. Same man, new face. Well, new everything."
"But you can't be."
"Harriet Jones, we were trapped in Downing Street, and the one thing that scared you wasn't the aliens. It wasn't the war. It was the thought of your mother being on her own."
"Oh my goodness."
"Did you win the election?"
"Landslide majority."
"If I might interrupt." The leader says.
"Yes, sorry. Hello big fellow." The Doctor says turning back to the leader.
"Who exactly are you?"
"Well, that's the question."
"I demand to know who you are!"
"I don't know!" The Doctor yells. "See, there's the thing. I'm the Doctor, but beyond that, I don't know. I literally do not know who I am. It's all untested. Am I funny? Am I sarcastic? Sexy? Right old misery? Life and soul? Right handed? Left handed? A gambler? A fighter? A coward? A traitor? A liar? A nervous wreck? I mean, judging by the evidence, I've certainly got a god, and how am I going to react when I see this," he gestures to a button, "a great big threatening button which must not be pressed under any circumstances, am I right? Let me guess. It's some sort of control matrix, hmm? Hold on, what's feeding it?" The Doctor asks going over and opens a panel under the button. "And what've we got here? Blood? Yeah, definitely blood. A positive with a dash of iron. Ah, but that means blood control. Blood control! Oh, I haven't seen blood control for years. You're controlling all the A positives. Which leaves us with a great big stinking problem because I really don't know who I am. I don't know when to stop, so If I see a great big threatening button which should never, ever, ever be pressed, then I just want to do this." He says hitting the button.
"No!" Rose and Harriet yell. I know nothing is going to happen, so I do nothing. "What do you think big fellow? Are they dead?"
"We allow them to live." The leader says.
"Allow? You've not choice. I mean, that's all blood control is: a cheap bit of voodoo. Scares the pants off you, but that's as far as it goes. It's like hypnosis. You can hypnotize someone to walk like a chicken or sing like Elvis. You can't hypnotize them to death. Survival instinct's too strong."
"Blood control was just one form of conquest. I can summon the armada and take this world by force."
"Well, yeah, you could, yeah, you could do that. Of course you could, but why? Look at these people. These human beings. Consider their potential. From the day they arrived on this planet and blinking step into the sun. There is more to see than can ever be seen. More to do than...no, hold on. Sorry, that's The Lion King."
"It's the circle of life." I sing quietly. I love The Lion King.
"But the point still stands. Leave them alone!" The Doctor exclaims.
"Or what?" The leader asks.
"Or.." The Doctor takes a sword from another Sycorax and runs back towards the Tardis. "I challenge you." The aliens laugh. "Oh, that struck a chord. Am I right that the sanctified rules of combat still apply?"
"You stand as this world's champion."
"Thank you. I've no idea who I am, but you just summed me up." He takes the robe off and throws it to me. "So, you accept my challenge? Or are you cranak pel casacree salvak?" I guess he just insulted the leader.
"For the planet?"
"For the planet." They clash swords.
"Look out!" Rose yells.
"Oh yeah, that helps. Wouldn't have thought of that otherwise, thanks." The Doctor starts retreating down a tunnel. "Bit of fresh air?" He asks leading them outside. Everyone follows, but before we go out I grab a sword just in case. When we get out, the Doctor is on the edge. "Stay back! Invalidate the challenge, and he wins the planet." The leader swings down and cuts off the Doctor's hand that was holding the sword. "You cut my hand off."
"Ya! Sycorax!" The aliens yell.
"And now I know what sort of an I am. I'm lucky because by chance I'm still within the first fifteen hours of my regeneration cycle, which means I've got just enough residual cellular energy to do this." He says as his hand regrows.
"Witchcraft." The leader says.
"Time Lord." I smile.
"Doctor!" I yell throwing him the sword.
"Oh, so I'm still the Doctor then?"
"Always."
"Want to know the best bit? This new hand? It's a fighting hand!" I let out a little laugh. That line. They start fighting again and this time the Doctor has the upper hand. He disarms the leader and the sword falls off the edge. "I win."
"Then kill me." The leader says.
"I'll spare your life if you'll take this Champion's command. Leave this planet and never return. What do you say?"
"Yes."
"Swear on the blood of your species."
"I swear."
"There we are then. Thanks for that. Cheers big fellow." The Doctor says coming back over to me and takes my hand.
"Bravo!" Harriet yells.
"That says it all. Bravo!" Rose says.
"Ah, not bad for a man in his jim-jams." I help him put on the robe. "Very Arthur Dent. Now, there was a nice man. Hold on, what have I got in here? A satsuma? Ah, that friend of your mothers. He does like his snacks doesn't he? Doesn't that just sum up Christmas? You go through all those presents and right at the end, tucked away at the bottom, there's always one stupid old satsuma. Who wants a satsuma?" The Doctor suddenly throws it at a control on the panel and a part of the wing opens up. I notice the leader falling to his death. "No second chances. I'm that sort of man." We head back to the Tardis. "By the ancient rites of combat, I forbid you to scavenge here for the rest of time, and when you go back to the stars and tell others of this planet, when you tell them of it's riches, it's people, it's potential. When you talk of the Earth, then make sure that you tell them this: It is defended." The Doctor says leading me back into the Tardis. He let's go of my hand to get us back into flight. We land in London on a random road from what it looks like when we walk out.
"Where are we?" Rose asks.
"We're just off Bloxom Road. We're just round the corner. We did it!" Mickey yells.
"Wait a minute. Wait a minute." The Doctor says looking up at the sky. The spaceship flies away.
"Go on, my son! Oh, yeah!"
"Yeah! Don't come back!" Rose yells.
"It is defended!" Rose and Mickey hug as me and the Doctor chuckle at them being childish. Harriet comes up to us.
"My Doctor." Harriet says.
"Prime Minister." The Doctor says as they hug. She hugs me as well.
"Absolutely the same man. Are there many more out there?"
"Oh, not just the Sycorax. Hundreds of species. Thousands of them and the human race is drawing attention to itself. Every day you're sending out probes and messages and signals. This planet's so noise. You're getting noticed more and more. You'd better get used to it."
"Rose!" Jackie yells coming towards us.
"Mum!" Rose says as they hug.
"Oh, talking of trouble." The Doctor says.
"You did it, Rose! Oh!" Jackie yells.
"You did it too! It was the tea. Fixed his head." Rose says.
"That was all I needed: cup of tea." The Doctor says.
"I said so." Jackie says.
"Look at him." Rose says.
"Is it him, though? Is it really the Doctor? Oh my it's the bleeding Prime Minister!" Jackie exclaims noticing Harriet.
"Come here, you." The Doctor says as we all hug.
"Are you better?" Jackie asks.
"I am yeah."
"It's a message from Torchwood. They say they're ready." The assistant says coming over to us. I'm guessing this isn't Jack Harkness.
"Tell them to fire." Harriet says.
"Fire at will." Suddenly the spaceship explodes.
"What is that? What's happening?" Rose asks.
"That was murder."
"That was defense. It's adapted from alien technology. A ship that fell to Earth ten years ago." Harriet says.
"But they were leaving."
"You said yourself, Doctor. They'd go back to the stars and tell others about the Earth. I'm sorry, Doctor, but you're not here all the time. You come and go. It happened today. Mister Llewellyn and the Major were murdered. They died right in front of me while you were sleeping. In which case, we have to defend ourselves."
"Britain's Golden Age." The Doctor says sarcastically.
"It comes with a price."
"I gave them the wrong warning. I should've told them to run as fast as they can. Run and hide because the monsters are coming: the human race."
"Those are the people I represent. I did it on their behalf."
"Then I should have stopped you."
"What does that make you, Doctor? Another alien threat?"
"Don't challenge me, Harriet Jones, because I'm a completely new man. I could bring down your government with a single word."
"You're the most remarkable man I've ever met, but I don't think you're quite capable of that."
"No, you're right. Not a single word. Just six."
"I don't think so."
"Six words."
"Stop it!"
"Six." The Doctor goes over to Alex and whispers something in his ear. He heads towards the Tardis, and I follow. The others go towards the Tyler's flat. Harriet yells at us, but we don't stop. "I'm going to go pick out an outfit. Stay here." He says. I nod and pick up the book on the console. This time it's a book of poetry. Hm, interesting. The Doctor finally comes out wearing his normal outfit for him. He gives me a twirl.
"I love it. Especially the converses." I say. We join the Tylers for Christmas, which was actually a lot of fun. Harriet Jones was doing an interview on tv. She did not look good. Jackie answers the ringing phone.
"It's Beth. She says go and look outside." Jackie says.
"Why?" Rose asks.
"I don't know. Just go outside and look. Come on, shift!" Jackie exclaims. We go outside to find white flakes falling from the sky.
"This isn't snow. It's ash." I say.
"It's the spaceship breaking up in the atmosphere." Pause. "This is a brand new planet Earth. No denying the existence of aliens now. Everyone saw it. Everything's new." The Doctor says.
"And what about you? What are you going to do next?" Rose asks.
"Well, back to the Tardis with Kate. Same old life."
"Just you two?"
"Why, don't you want to come?"
"Well, yeah."
"Do you, though?"
"Yeah!"
"I just thought because I changed..."
"Yeah, I thought, because you changed you might not want me anymore."
"Oh, I'd love you to come." I cross my arms. I'm not sure if this is flirting or not. I just saved her life not too long ago. I gave my life up for hers, and now she's flirting with him.
"Okay." I go back inside the Tardis. I don't want to deal with this, and for the first time, I start glowing and travel to a new regeneration.
By myself.
