Peter took a seat on the porch of the house, everyone else was either asleep or watching a movie. He didn't blame Derek for hating him, hell he hated himself. He was so overpowered by the rage and depression, that all he wanted to revenge. He talked to Laura, but she refused to do anything about it. She said her priority was the town and her siblings, but how safe could they be with the Argents in town. So he killed her and took the status, he never thought it would get so out of controlled. Then Derek killed him and he was grateful for it really. He found his mate and now has a small son. His son. The hybrid pup was in for a long run, Derek already warned him and he would not back down. The sound of rustling in the trees alerted him. Growling lowly he froze at the sight of the black wolf. Dropping his head, he allowed the beast to pass by him cringing at the snarl he received.
"Give him time." Allison whispered.
Peter glanced at her. "He needs a lot more than just time. He hates me and he has many reasons for it."
Allison gave him a small pat on the shoulder. "You are the only blood family he has, he will forgive you. Although most likely later rather than sooner. Just don't give him any reason to hate you more."
Peter chuckled. "I'll try." He stopped Allison before she could walk inside. "Have you forgiven me? For everything?"
Allison glanced at him with sad eyes. "I have to work through some things before I can forgive you."
Peter sighed. "For Kate?"
Allison chuckled. "No, I couldn't care less about Kate. It was the rest Peter. Laura, Scott, Stiles, me and my dad. Not to mention you almost killed Melissa and Stiles's dad. My forgiveness should be the last on your mind."
"I know, but I would like to know I have at least one on my side. It's hard getting into a pack and not have anyone on your side." Peter said.
Allison laid her hand on his shoulder. "I will give you a small advice. To win Derek's forgiveness you must first win everyone else's. Derek is an alpha and a pack leader, his pack is first and if they do not accept you neither will their alpha."
"so win the pack and I win the alpha." Peter grinned.
Allison shrugged. "Pretty much." Leaning and giving him a kiss on the cheek she walked into the house. As she entered the living room, she had to smile. The entire pack was curled up into a huge ball, in the middle of the room. Well Scott's pack. Derek's pack was nowhere to be found.
"They headed up to sleep, Isaac cant sleep anywhere that isn't in his bed or Erica's bed." Derek said, chuckling at the small jump she gave. "Jumpy are we?"
"No, you simply scared me." Turning around she gasped at how close he was to her. "Derek?" Her voice came out shaky and breathless.
"Yes?"
"What are you doing?" She couldn't help, but feel shivers run up her back. "Derek."
Derek chuckled. "Relax Argent." His breath danced over her lips, but never passed them. "I know what the limits are." Giving her a small and gentle kiss on the neck, he turned and walked away.
Allison released the breath she didn't realized she was even holding in. She may be dating him, but she wasn't ready to let him take her to the bed. Scott was her first and at the moment the only one. No matter how long she has been away or how hard she tried, she still loved him. Every piece of herself screamed for him. She longed to kiss him, touch him, love him. But he decided Kira was a better mate for him. She just didn't understand why he couldn't have stop their relationship, before perusing one with another woman. Glancing at the ball of tangled bodies, her eyes landed on the cause of her many pain and hurts. Scott was surrounded by his pack in a protective circle. Scott had his arms around only one person. Kira.
"Allison?"
Jumping she twirled around to face Peter. "Peter! You scared me."
"Sorry, I thought you would have been in bed by now." He smiled. "What are you doing up?"
"I couldn't sleep and decided to stay down here. You?"
"Just came back in, I'm heading to the guest room." Giving her another small smile, he walked away.
Allison wasn't sure where she was going to sleep, so she decided on taking a spot on the floor. It wasn't long before she fell deep into sleep. Not once noticing the alpha watching her from the corner.
Derek watched and waited for her to fall asleep. A small growl threating to spill at seeing her take the floor. She was not meant to sleep on the floor like some animal. No she needed a bed, if it wasn't going to be his, then his beta's. Her old pack made no knowledge in giving her warmth for the night. With a growl he stepped over the bodies and gently picked up the female. She was light and a bit pale. 'Was she eating?' walking into his bedroom he gently laid her on his bed. Taking her shoes and sweater off, he tucked her into the bed. He wanted nothing more than to take his spot beside her and hold her through out the night, but that would scare her away. Giving her a small kiss on the forehead he walked into the bathroom. After a quick shower and a long stare in the mirror, he walked out, grabbing his pillow and blanket. Regardless of what he said, today and only today he will take the floor. But tomorrow no matter how much she kicks, screams or shouts he is taking back his bed and her along with it.
Allison woke with a refreshing feel, sitting up and stretching she froze. Glancing around she frowned, last thing she remembered, was falling asleep on the floor. How the hell did she get here and who's room was this?
Derek walked out from within the shower to find a confuse Argent on his bed. "I brought you up here."
"Derek." Allison sighed.
"Relax Allison, I didn't do anything." Derek huffed. He knew she wasn't ready to take their relationship any further, but it bugged him to not be able to hold her. Kiss her when ever or even nuzzle her. Tossing the towel on the chair, he grabbed a shirt and placed it on. "Breakfast should be ready any moment now."
Allison noticed the slight change in his demeanor. He was colder and a bit distant. "Derek?"
"What?"
"You alright?"
Derek scoffed. "Just peachy."
Allison was even more confused. "What's wrong?"
Knowing she won't let it go, he decided to take the bull by the horns. "Let me ask you something and I want the absolute truth." Allison nodded. "Why did you accept to become my girlfriend?"
"What?"
"You agreed to become my girlfriend Allison, even confronting your father. Yet you won't let me touch you, kiss you or hold you. I don't get it?" Derek said.
"I'm not ready for that." She whispered.
Derek growled. "Then why say yes? Why give me hopes and not be able to achieve them? Last night I fought with everything I had, to not kiss you. I wasn't planning in taking you to bed Allison. I simply wanted to hold you. Know you were there with and for me."
"I'm sorry Derek."
Running a hand through his hair, he exhaled. "Look I want you think about this. I want-need you to be sure this is what you want. I am, but this must work two ways. Allison I know what you are to me, but I want you to be sure of it." Walking up to her, he took her chin in his fingertips. "You have until the end of the day. A simple yes or no, no explanations, no excuses. Yes or no."
Looking into his eyes, she flinched at the small disappointment and fear in them. "Okay."
"Alright." Without a second glance, he walked out. A piece of him staying with her.
The pack felt a change, what was once a happy feeling was now a gloom one. Glancing at their alpha and new pack mate, they knew something was off. Derek was quiet even more so, his eyes not once looking at Allison. Allison in the other hand kept glancing at him. She would glance at him then at Scott, as if trying to come up with a decision. Whatever the problem was they knew it would change the entire dynamic if the pack.
Allison took of home after breakfast. Sitting outside her window, she thought of what he had said. She had until tonight to give him an answer. She liked him and she cared for him, but she couldn't love him. Not until she got over Scott. Her heart kept beating for the young alpha. She couldn't hurt Derek, by telling him yes and not meaning it. She couldn't hurt him like that.
"Allison?"
Allison froze, slowly turning around. Scott was currently leaning through her window. "Scott? Hey, wh-what are you doing here?"
Scott climbed out, taking a seat beside her. "I wanted to apologies for my behavior these past few days. But mostly for having hurt you. I never meant to, I don't know what came over me."
Allison shrugged. "What is done is done." Looking straight, she bit her lower lip. "Do-do you love her?"
Scott scoffed. "No. I do not, which is why we broke it off. Well more like I broke it off."
She stared at him with wide eyes. "Really?" He nodded. "Is she okay?"
"Well she threatened to electrocute me and she is mad, but other than, than she is fine." Scott gently took her hand in his. "I have no right in asking you this, but I have not stopped loving you. Would you like to give this another try?"
"Scott, I am with Derek." She whispered. "I don't want to hurt him."
"He can take it Allison, besides I love you and you love me. He can't hold you back." Leaning forward and giving her a small kiss, he grinned. "Yes?"
Mesmerized by the kiss and his words, she nodded softly. "Yes, but I must talk with Derek."
"Okay, umm, want me to go with you?"
She was quick to shut down the offer. Last thing she needed was a fight between alphas. "No, I will."
They spent the day together, talking, making out and simply enjoying each other's company. Allison missed this, being in his arms, his kisses and voice. Yet there was something different, something that kept bugging her, but she didn't know what that thing was. It was past eight at night when Scott left. Allison decided now was the time. Sending a quick message to Derek, to meet her by the river, she waited for him.
"Its not safe to be in the woods at night Argent." Derek walked out from within the trees. "So, yes or no."
"Derek I-"
He raised a hand, stopping her mid sentence. "No explanation, simple yes or no."
Looking up at him, she locked eyes. He was hopeful, but fear swam in the back. Looking away and to the ground, she shook her head. "No." hearing nothing, she frowned. "Derek?" looking up, he was gone. Derek left without a single word. "I'm sorry."
