Chapter 15
Stephanie, Julie, Helen and Frank went running out to grandma Mazur.
"Mom, what did you do?" Helen snapped at her.
"I let the horses free" Mazur said as she turned around and danced in circles.
Helen noticed that there was an Arab horse that walked up to her.
She held out her hand. The horse sniffed her and put his head down.
Helen moved to the side and mounted him. Frank handed her a couple of halters. "Go and get them Helen" Frank said with a smile on his face.
"Mom what are you doing?" Stephanie said openmouthed.
"Getting your horses back" Helen took off on Ranger's horse.
"Dad" Stephanie asked in shock.
"Watch Pumpkin and be amazed." Frank told her.
Stephanie watched as her mother was on the black stallion and started to catch up with Tucker. A few minutes later she came up with Tucker and handed him to Julie.
Helen went back at it, and after what seemed like a half an hour later had all most of the horses back in the paddock.
Helen dismounted the black stallion and said, "I have not done that in years, wow I forgot what it was like to
ride."
"Well done Helen." All four of them turned around and saw Ranger standing behind Julie checking out Tucker.
"Where did you learn to ride like that mom"
"I learned a long time ago, when I was a teenager, I may yell at Mary Alice but I do remember how to ride, and I know why she loves horses that much." Helen was patting the stallion on the neck.
"Carlos there is still a couple of them missing, but most of them are here." Rick the stable hand told him.
"All right lets go find them." Carlos told him.
"Hold up Ranger, you still need to rest, let me and Rick go" Helen told him.
She was already on the stallion and headed out. Rick got on another gelding and they were gone looking for the last two horses.
"Wow, I have never seen this side of mom before dad" Stephanie told Frank.
"It has been a long time, but this is the side I fell in love with." Frank told his youngest daughter.
Stephanie looked at Ranger who was with Julie helping her on Tucker.
"Dad, I love Tucker, he is great. I have missed him so much." Julie started to trot him holding onto his mane.
Ranger watched her, and noticed Stephanie walked up to him and put her head on his shoulder.
"Hey when your mom is done, can you send her home please, lets go Edna." Frank told her.
"Okay, but she is having so much fun" Mazur said out loud.
Stephanie and Ranger watched Frank and Grandma Mazur leave the grounds and the house.
"My dad got rid of my grandparents, or told them to leave." Stephanie told them.
"My mother offered to pay for the honeymoon to France if we made her a grandmother before we are married." Stephanie told him.
"Really" Carlos said as he watched Julie leading Tucker around.
A couple hours later, "Julie we need to let Tucker rest for a while" Carlos told his daughter.
"Okay" Julie got down and lead Tucker to the barn, so she could take care of him.
Just then they saw Helen and Rick bring the other two horses up to the barn.
"We found them by the river they don't seem hurt." Rick said, he put them in their stalls to rest for a while.
"Mrs. Plum thank you for your help, any time you would like to ride, you are welcome to come here and ride them" Rick told her.
"Thank you, I will definingly keep that in mind. Stephanie, thank you I have not felt so free in a long time. Remember what I told you." Helen then walked off the grounds and to her car. She got in and drove home.
After, Julie had taken care of, Tucker she went back to Ranger and Stephanie and had lunch with them.
"Hey kiddo you have to go to school after Christmas. So we will look at some private schools that you can go to during the day and come back here in the evening. How does that sound?" Ranger asked his daughter.
"Sounds great Dad" Julie said. She got up and then left to go get cleaned up. After Julie was gone Stephanie climbed up into Ranger's lap.
"Carlos , I was thinking maybe we were wrong to wait till after we were married to have kids. My mom said that she would pay for the honeymoon. I do have some money saved up so we can have a wedding somewhere nice. I already had a big wedding and looked how that turned out." Stephanie told Carlos while looking into his eyes.
"Babe are you telling me that you want to have kids now?" There was sparkle in his eyes.
"yes, I do but it is up to you too Carlos" She told him.
"Well I think we could definitely try." Carlos gave her a deep passionate kiss while a fire was going in the fireplace.
