Back so soon? I know, surprising right? Normally I leave about a month between each chapter because I'm lazy, but in just over a day this little short gained more of a following than any of my other works. (guess that makes me a romance author now, who knew??)

Ah well, enjoy I guess;

Jaune was a little flustered to say the least. Having spent most of the weekend lying around watching movies in his pyjamas, he had opted to take a shower before getting an early night so he didn't fall asleep at work the next day.

He had most definitely not expected to find himself singing a duet in the shower with some random stranger.

Not really knowing what else to do he tapped on the glass gently with one hand.

'hey, uhh.. you.. you sing really well.' he paused, a little breathless and blushing lightly 'that was.. really fun actually...'

There was no response. Ah, he'd gone and done it now. She probably thought he was a creep or-

'I-I'm sorry!'

Through the wall he heard the loud bang of a shower door opening and rushed footsteps as the mystery woman hurriedly fled the adjacent bathroom.

Yup. She definitely thought he was a creep. Coming in like that and starting to sing when someone on the other side was obviously already taking a shower, then afterwards saying it was fun? One hundred percent creepy behaviour. Of course, he had been completely zoned-out. (he always was when he was alone) but she didn't know that!

Jaune started drying himself with a towel.

This was going to make living here super awkward if he didn't go and apologise soon.

'Gods..' he mumbled. When was the last time he had even spoke to a girl besides Nora? And she barely counted, what with them being childhood friends and all.

Well, he supposed there was no use standing around feeling bad about it. He should probably go and clear things up now before anything else could happen.

After all, his mama always said the sooner you get something done, the better!

He left the towel on the floor and grabbed his jeans and Pumpkin-Peat hoodie from where he'd left them on the toilet seat. Quickly throwing them on, the blond left the bathroom and made for the door.

Out in the hall, the blonde quickly realised he didn't know which apartment she actually lived in.

'well if her shower was on my right, then... Ah ha!' He grinned, a little to pleased with himself.

He strolled over the appropriate door, noting the orange and purple flower design that adorned it. It looked hand painted, she was an artist then?

A lovely voice and an artist. He blushed.

No no no, no, if his thoughts went any further he really would be a creeper. Let's just get this over with, he thought sighing.

He raised his hand, hesitated, and finally knocked.

'hello.. ?'

'eep!'

This was a terrible idea.

'hi-um.. yeah. I'm the guy from the shower?' he mentally slapped himself. Gods. What was he saying? 'I just wanted to say I'm-uh sorry about earlier, I was pretty zoned-out..and-uh... yeah.. I'll just leave now, thanks.'

'no, please wait.. '

Hearing the clank of a key turning in its lock he turned back to see a pretty redhead peeking at him from behind the door.

Her still wet hair drooped down to her heels and she wore a simple black dressing gown with fluffy slippers. She looked like she hadn't slept in months.

'h-hello again..'

'hi..'

He should have come up with something to say beforehand, she seemed pretty flustered.

'do.. do you want to come in?' the redhead mumbled quietly.

Jaune scratched the back of his neck and nodded, giving her an apologetic grin.

'sure'

She smiled and opened the door a little wider, motioning for him to enter.

And.. That where we'll leave off. Thank you to everyone who decided to read this little short of mine, it's very much appreciated.

I'd also like to a apologise for the length of this chapter. The story was originally only supposed to be one chapter long but I decided to split it in two, so both Jaune and Pyrrha now have their own chapters. (the short length was an unintended consequence of that)

In terms of plot, this was all I had planned really, I never expected to get this much attention. But.. If people really want me to, I could possibly turn this into a full story at a later date.

Either way it's been a lot of fun to write and the positive feedback has been wonderful. :)

I sincerely hope some of you stick around as I continue to develop my writing ability and style.
