Chapter 22 Steph's Decision
Ranger woke Stephanie up early the next day.
"Babe do you realize that we have two weeks from today until our wedding day. We need to get up and moving." Ranger told her with his brilliant white teeth glowing.
"Huh, did we pick a day for our wedding?" Stephanie asked sleepily from the bed in the master suite.
"yes, now time to get up and moving. I will give you one of my credit cards and you can go shopping for the dresses for our wedding. I have already confirmed a date and time for the reception at Dove's Restaurant. So now we just have to get a preacher to marry us." Ranger told her happily.
"Okay I am up but what should I wear, nothing really fits me anymore." Stephanie told him.
All of a sudden, she got up and rushed to the bathroom.
Ranger walked in and looked at Stephanie kneeling down with her head over the toilet. He bent down next to her. "Hey if you don't feel up to it then relax and stay in bed." He noticed the blood that she threw up.
"Babe I am going to get you back into bed." Carlos picked Stephanie up and carried her and put her back into bed.
He looked at the empty fireplace. "I will be right back" He left the room for a short time.
"Bobby, I have a problem, Stephanie just vomited but there is blood in it." Ranger told him over the phone.
"I will be right over" Bobby told him then hung up.
"Carlos, I don't feel well." Stephanie yelled.
"Hey babe, Bobby is on his way here now. I will stay with you and Julie will have to wait and take the tour another time." Ranger told Stephanie.
"No, you take Julie and spend some time with her while you can. Bobby is coming he can stay with me. Julie needs to get into a school and this school is good even though it is co ed." Stephanie told him.
Stephanie watch his face go pale white. "Ranger relax she is not into boys yet, at least I don't think so, but when she starts to get interested in boys, I will be here to help you now you go and get ready and get her ready." Stephanie then fell asleep.
Ranger looked out the double glass doors that lead to a porch where they could sit outside. He was staring out of the window when his cell phone went off.
"Tank what is it!" he snapped.
"Boss Bobby is here, okay tell him Stephanie is in the master bedroom. I have to get a little girl up and ready for a school tour." Ranger closed his cell phone.
"Hey Carlos, how is she?" Bobby asked as he came up to Ranger's side.
"Hey Bobby, how are you?" Stephanie asked him.
"I am okay how are you feeling?" Bobby asked her. Bobby looked her over and noticed that she was very pale, sweating. He was taking her pulse, and she had a thermometer in her mouth.
He took out the thermometer and it read 100.2.
"Steph are you cold or have the chills?" Bobby asked her.
"I do feel a little cold and I think I just have the flu." Stephanie told them.
"I agree I think it is the flu or something viral just try to get some rest plenty of fluids, lots of soup and try to relax. No stress" Bobby told her.
"I will be back Babe." Ranger told her as he squeezed her hand.
"Bobby, I have to go out, can you stay with her for a while?" Ranger asked him.
"Sure, I will be happy to." Bobby told him. Bobby went back into Ranger and Stephanie's room and stay there while Ranger Julie ready for their tour of a school.
A half an hour later, Range rand Julie said good bye to Stephanie and left for Broadway School.
"Julie, I hope it works out at this school, but we will have to see and make sure there are classes there."
"Dad I checked, and they do have a school there too." Julie told him.
"That is, it dad don't miss the turn" Julie screeched while pointing to a long entrance.
"I see it" Carlo said as he made a left turn into the entrance of the Broadway School. He looked at it, it did look like a school lots of windows and doors, and then he saw it a horse stable.
"Bingo that is why you like this school huh the horses" Carlos said looking in the rear-view mirror"
"Dad really you think that is the only reason I like this school." Julie moaned.
The two of them parked and Ranger saw her the principal of the school.
"Okay this is interesting" He replied out loud.
"Hi there, can I help you?" she said then she saw him.
"Carlos Manoso it has been a long time." Dr. Shirly Pinto all most screeched.
"It has Dr. Pinto, how are you?" Carlos said as she took her hand.
"I have been well and you,"
better so you are in charge of this school" Carlos asked her.
"Yes, I am in charge of this school, I got this job a few years ago. I have really turned this school around." She told him.
"I am sure you have." Carlos replied to her.
"Dad do you know her?" Julie asked.
"Yes, I Julie and I think you will do very well in this school, but if you want to join the riding team you have to keep you grades up. Is that understood." Carlos told her.
"Yes, sir I promise I will" Julie said as she began to jump up and down, she was finally going to go to a school again.
When they got back to the castle, they found Stephanie up and walking around.
"Stephanie, I go back to school tomorrow I can't wait." Julie said as she was jumping up and down.
"Glad to hear it Juile." Stephanie told her. Ranger walked up to her "Babe"
"Hi, I am feeling much better thanks to Bobby still not 100% but I can get up and move around now." Stephanie told her husband to be.
"Hey Ranger, Julie I need a word with you two." Bobby told them. He was leaning in the door way that led to the cellar.
"Yeah we do, let's go Julie" Carlos told her.
When the three of the got into Ranger's office down stairs Bobby shut the door after him.
"Okay here is what going to happen you Julie are going to stop calling Stephanie mom, and Ranger are going to bump up the wedding I don't care how you do it. Stephanie told me that she wants to be married before the baby is born and I think that is a great idea. Julie, I know you miss your mom, I lost mine too when I was around your age. You will always have Stephanie and your dad and they both love you very much. But it still hurts not have your mom here to call her mom huh. Yeah, I think that you really don't want her to be your second mom, you just want her as a part of your family huh." Bobby finished his lecture to Ranger and Julie.
All of a sudden, they heard Stephanie yelling upstairs, " That Steph" Julie went running upstairs to hear part of the conversation.
"Grandma you can't run away with Morelli's grandfather are you nuts!"
"Gott go be back soon with your new grandfather." Grandma Mazur said then hung up the cell.
"I am going to throw up again." Stephanie replied out loud.
"Steph what is wrong?" Bobby asked as he was running up the stairs.
"My grandmother is going to marry Morelli's grandfather." She said.
Ranger started to laugh.
"Carlos this is kind of funny but not funny if she does that I will be related to Morelli and so will you once we are married." Stephanie started to laugh. "All right that would be funny."
"No, it would not. We have to stop your grandmother." Ranger said as he raced up to Stephanie grabbed her hand and stormed out of the castle.
"Well looks like it is just you and me kiddo what do you want to do?" Bobby asked her.
"How about we play Monopoly they might be a while." Julie asked Bobby.
