Chapter 27 Stephanie Thinks Back
One week later, stephanie was feeding the twins by bottle, when she heard a knock on the nursery door.
"It is open" She saw Ranger leaning against the door.
"Hey, babe how are the twins doing?"
"Fine Carlos you know you don't have to knock you are their father you can come in when you want to." Stephanie told him.
"I know." He pulled up a chair and sat down beside her. He picked up Maddie, "well those goons are talking."
"It seems that some mobster in New Jersey was trying to make a name for himself, by coming after me. Tank and a few others are going to pick Ricker up now and put him away for the rest of his life. No more danger for our family."
"Ranger you do know that somebody else will be coming eventually to try to erase you from the earth." Stephanie said, we are safe for now and that is fine with me. We can concentrate on these two." Stephanie put Carlos Junior down in his crib and Carlos Sr. did the same with Maddie.
"I am just thinking back to when you made this plan, pretend we are married, but you had no intention of telling me that it would be a real Marriage and not a fake one. Did you.?" Stephanie asked Carlos.
"No, I did not think that we would actually get married, but it did happen because in Lost Vegas you made up your mind, it was Steph's Decision to get married and start a life with me and that I will always be grateful for.
