Zeke P.O.V
"Mermaid heel." So this is the guild my mom was in. Not really sure how she thought I was going to fit in because if it wasn't obvious enough.
I'M FREAKIN DUDE!
Seriously did Mom not know that guys aren't allowed in this guild. I mean for g-.
Yukino's P.O.V
As we stand in front of the guild I start to notice that Zeke is shaking. "He must be really nervous. We've been standing here looking at the guild sign for a long time. If Zeke is scared of this guild then there must be something scary about guilds I mean what if there is a test or magical power measurement; I don't have my magic unlocked I don't even know what kind of magic I want. This was a mistake we shouldn't of came here we're not ready. It not too late to leave we can-."
"Come on Yukino let's go inside and ask if we can join the guild. HaHaHa!"
"What!?" Zeke then grabs my hand then walks to the entrance door.
Zeke must be as scared as I am; the way he spoke with such a high and squeaky voice as if he was about to break. He's so brave facing his fear head on. I'm gonna be brave just like Zeke someday.
Zeke's P.O.V
I'm so frustrated at this. Why did my mom leave a map to Mermaid heel. What was her ingenious plan to get me in the guild.
" 'Oh my son will be able to join the guild alright.' 'Because he's my son I'm sure they'll make an exception' HaHaHaHa!"
"NO!"
Mermaid heel is one of the strictest guilds about their entrees in their guild so if you're packing a (for the safety of younger readers the writer as written out this section, instead he asks you to think about what do you feed a monkey? we will give the answer at a later date.) you are not getting in. But I'm not giving up I did not just walk for who knows how long just go back and find another guild. No I'm getting in this guild no matter the cost."
No P.O.V
As Zeke and Yukino walk into the guild they are greeted by the sight of women seated in what seemed to be a fancy ball room like area with multiple round tables, chairs with elegant design, colour seemed to be a mixture of white, light blue, gold and a splash of pink here and there. The woman in the guild seemed be around young adults and preteens. They appear to not have seen Zeke or Yukino yet.
"Woah. So uh umm now what?" Zeke nervously ask Yukino. Because he didn't think this through.
W-w-well w-we could ask someone for help." Yukino squeaks out barely able to say the whole sentence due to the amount of people around the guild.
"Well that's probably a good idea so ummm who are you gonna ask?" Zeke shamelessly volunteering Yukino without a second thought.
"M-m-me! Why me? Why not you?" Yukino retorts feeling a little betrayed that Zeke would just do that to her.
"After what transpired earlier today I think I'd rather have you do this. It seems to be working for you so a you know knock em dead. Hehe." Zeke replied sheepishly trying to get out of talking to them knowing what could transpire if he were ask.
"O-okay I'll do it. I'll go ask someone for help." Yukino replies with a strong posture with head held up high and arms on her side, though it was obvious she was still scared, but she followed through with it and walk over to a barmaid and tugged at dress to catch her attention.
Yukino P.O.V
"E-excuse me miss I was w-w-wondering if m-me and my f-friend could join your guild" I stutter as I try to put on a confident face as the woman starts to take notice in me.
"Hmm, sure I suppose you could. Where's your friend cutie? Get her over here and we'll sign the both of you up." The woman replies warmly as she examines Me.
"O-oh he's over there." I point to Zeke's location as he stands anxiously where I last saw him.
"That's fiiiiine. He's a boy." The woman says as she takes notice of Zeke. "I' sorry he can't join. More importantly. RUDTH WHY IS THERE A BOY IN THE GUILD HALL!" The woman yelled loudly, alerting everyone in the guild to notice Zeke.
They start murmuring among themselves as they focus their attention on Zeke. Well, Zeke's Mom said karma can come back and bite you hard. So yeah, karma Zeke. Karma.
Zeke P.O.V
As the large group of women gathered around me, I noticed them giving me dirty looks and glares as if I trespassed some sacred area. In all honesty this is terrifying. I mean I'm used to speaking in front of a crowd, but not in one where there looks could kill you ten times over.
"So yeah I was wondering if I could join the guild?" I ask nervously as the stares continue to freak me out, sweat start to appear on my head.
"Why is there a boy here?"
"Is he stupid or something?"
"He should be thrown out of the guild hall."
I can hear everything their saying and it seems their not even trying to be subtle.
"Enough!"
I hear a loud thunderous voice as the rest of the guild seems to shudder and panic.
"Seems whoever made that voice is the one in charge."
Some the woman of the guild move out of the way for someone coming through.
As the women all spreaded out I got a good look at the maybe guild master.
"Wow. She. Is. Gorgeous."
I mean it everything from her Black locks of hair, to her hypnotic blue eyes, and her hourglass figure was a divine. She was wearing some kinda red V-neck top that display a lot more skin than regular v necks, she was really tall I think she's taller than every other female in this guild; I feel my cheeks start to burn looking at her.
"Well what do we have here a pretty little girl and a… boy. Tell me boy how did you make it in the guild?" She asks.
"Umm we k-kinda just walked in." I answer nervously.
"Really?" She asks surprised at the responses as if it were a trick answer.
"Yup."
"Lex who was supposed to be on watch duty today?" The guild masters asks
"Rudth master!" She replies immediately.
"I see well, Rudth!" She screams out loud.
All of sudden there was someone pushing and shoving through the crowd. When the girl finally came front and center I noticed that she was nimble girl, early teens my guess, she had bright green hair and had yellow eyes. She was wearing some kinda marching band looking uniform. (You know the kind with the horizontal silver stuff on it, I don't know it just looks like something from a marching band.) Anyway she's standing in front of the guild master with a worried expression on her face.
"Yes mistress!" She shouts.
"What did I say about calling me mistress while in front of a man?!" The guild master said with venomous tone.
"N-n-not t-t-to that master." Rudth answers.
"I'll be talking to you later about your punishment." The GM coyley says.
"Y-yes mistr- I mean master." Rudth Replies.
"Well then little boy, what brings you the most exclusive guild this day and age with the only members being beautiful women?" She asks with narrowed eyes.
"W-well were hoping to join the guild." I answer.
She gave a confused look, looking at Sorano then anyone else. "You do realize that this guild is manly a woman only guild right?" She asks me with the 'are you serious' look.
"Yes I'm aware of that, but I was hoping you can maybe make an exception for me?"
"An EXCEPTION!" She outrages furiously. "You expect me to dismiss over a five decades of no man joining the guild, just allow you in?
Well I mean that's basically what I'm asking for. Jeez why did mom have to work for this guild.
As it seems the guild master doesn't seem like she's ready stop chewing me out. "Oh, please tell me what makes you so special that I just have to MAKE. AN. EXCEPTION."
Wow, she is clenching her teeth real hard, any harder they'll break. I gotta somehow swing this conversation in my favour, but any misstep can hurt Yukino and I's chances. I just have to tread lightly on this.
"Well I mean his mother was a member of this guild. I think she wanted us to be members here." Yukino ads in. Although it doesn't seem to make the guild master any less frustrated at us, well me in particular.
I look at Yukino with a pleading look that says 'why did you do that'. She apparently didn't understand the idea of read the room because she certainly looks more determined for both of us to make it in.
What's this feeling of dread and death. I slowly turn to see that the guild master is producing this deadly aura around herself, her eyes are block by her hair but I swear you can still see them glowing red that promises pain.
The guild master slowly walks towards us menacingly "So your mother was a member of this guild and you think you can get in just because she was? Well, you got another thing coming! I swear it's always men that ride upon the backs of us women then look for special treatment." She says as she looks past us to the crowd around us.
They start to murmuring among themselves. Take a guess what the target of it will be.
"Our master is right. That boy is no different than the other man try to get in that way."
"To think the even at his young age he's no different from the disgusting man."
"Riding on the coattails of his mother and trying to use it to get in the guild. How repulsive.
I think you get the jist of what their saying. Yukino looks at me with a sheepishly apologetic look, while all I do is just stare at her with a deadpan face. Well you know what? I'm not standing for this. I can get in this guild without my mother's name. I'll prove it, and show them that I have every right to be here. I look at the guild master If she as much pride as I think she does, then she'll definitely want to prove me wrong. I stomp my foot on the ground and point directly at the guild master.
"I don't need mother to get in to the guild! I'll prove it! I challenge you guild master to a bet! If I win you let me into the guild!"
Silence filled the guild hall as everyone stared at me with wide eyes.
The guild master strolled in front of me with a coy look on her face. "Men. Always won't take no for an answer. Fine I'll accept your wager, but if I win then your little friend joins the guild." She says. "Also you will become the guilds servant." She adds on.
Yukino looks worried over the proposition, I can't blame her it's high risk for this one I can't even guarantee that I can win this. I can't take this kinda bet not when Yukino is on the li-.
"I know that look on your face." She smiles at me with a cocky mirth to her. "Realizing you can't beat me." Well I without a doubt know it would be difficult, but I think I can pull it off. " I don't blame you. We all here understand that you can't take a chance of your stupid man pride being damaged can you?" The rest of the guild starts talking among themselves agreeing with the guild master.
"I'm get sick and tired of being labeled like this. Maybe if I beat her I can show her up and prove that I'm different from rest. I mean come on. I'm mentally an adult. I should be able to pull this off."
"Fine then! Your on!" I shouted.
The guild hall all quiets down as they stare at me. The guild master looks at me with stern look.
"Farewell young man. Prepare to be fail." She says.
Well one thing is for certain. This guild is gonna see a lot more of me then they'd like.
Hey y'all I know it's been about a year since I updated this story and I'm sorry for not even talking about it. I guess I can say I just wasn't in the mood to write this for a long time. But now that I've been watching some anime like One Piece and just enjoying its way of storytelling. I think I want to comeback and puts some more chapters in. Happy 2019 everyone I hope this year I can make continue this story better. I looked back at my previous chapters and I feel like I didn't do things correctly. All the time I've seen many stories and lot seem so uninspired and 'just wanna fix things just because I'm here' stories and wanted to make one that seemed different, but as I reread I felt that I was doing the exact same thing as the ones I criticized. So I'm gonna try and spin this story into a different direction. I hope it works out. Wish me luck. :)
