Colby is a normal teenage girl, she's sort of popular and a cheerleader however when the boy she likes ditches her for another girl after a football game, she's attacked and turned into a half-blood before falling for Thomas a vampire investigator.

Rose and Dimitri have just graduated high school and are going to university. Rose's past doesn't involve the happy family she always wanted however when she starts working for Olena, Dimitri and Rose become close and it looks like the happy family she wanted is right in front of her.
