Shana breathed deeply as she managed the people in court. Being crowned Empress of Japan at the age of 13 was not a good thing for one's health. The people were following her out of sympathy as she explained her story about her and her brother. Not their dark origins of course, but how they lived as orphans and were adopted by Tiamat and Bahamut and how they were unaware of fighting each other and how Tiamat won and kept her brother prisoner as a bargaining chip to keep her in line. The part about a bargaining chip had some truth in it, but also a partial lie, but the people were swayed by her determination of saving her brother when she told them the truth and knew that Naruto was the one who can help bring order to fix everything.

Her goal for her people was to keep things stable and everyone alright as this plague that was infecting the people of Japan and damaging them. She was trying to fix the wrongs as much as she could so everyone could live without fear of dying from this disease. She prayed for her brother to have enough strength to overcome Tiamat's campaign for global conquest. Deep down, she knew her brother was probably having the time of his life.

/California/

Naruto was having the time of his life. Victories over the gangs lead to a massive celebration for the entire city for a successful attempt of peace. It was even better when the military dropped of high quality rations for everyone from willing donators as clothes, food, and even some form of entertainment was still there as well. Naturally Naruto was done with California and was planning on heading east, which made Jim kind of sad as he realized he could do something for the kid. He would drive the kid as far as he can to the next place. "So Naruto, how 'bout a ride to Vegas?" Jim asked as Naruto raised a brow at the question. "Isn't that a casino resort city?" He asked, recalling Tychus mentioning it a few times as Jim nodded his head. "Yup, I'm taking you there so you can get closer to your goal. I've still got a duty to protect the people of this city, but at least I can do is help return a favor. Gettin' Tosh and his folk to help makes security here much easier to breathe in."

"Well then, get a motorcycle and me some gear. I've got an idea." Naruto replied with a grin, one that was beginning to unnerve Jim.

*40 minutes later*

"Yehaw!" Jim exclaimed as he and Naruto soared over the fence, over the heads of surprised soldiers, and also the eyes of civilians who were shocked at such a daring move. Naruto secretly used his powers to raise the ground up to create a ramp that would be used by Jim and the motorcycle to go over the fence. The five minutes of stunned surprise ended as orders to go after them began as jeeps began driving after them. "Now this is a chase of the lifetime!" Jim grinned as he increased the speed as Naruto willed the planet to aid him as he forced the metal in the jeeps to wheel out of control while crashing into stores as confusion swept the outer cities as the two laughed at their getaway.

/-Las Vegas-Afternoon/

"Well here we are, Las Vegas, Nevada." Jim spoke as he parked the motorcycle at the nearest shop when they got there. "Thanks for the help Jim, I can take care of myself from here on out." Naruto told him as Jim gave him a look. "Well knowing your abilities and luck, I can believe that. Take care partner…" he told him as he took off as Naruto proceeded to head towards the nearest buffet and eat. He was good at 'convincing' people to let him take care of himself without a parent or guardian.

Once he devoured his fill and paid, he quickly left, not wanting attention drawn from all the looks of shock at the piles of dishes he left in his wake from his meal as he noticed it was night. With people walking around and numerous lights, he was going to be busy finding a place to sleep. Luckily, storm drains here in Vegas were quite homey if he didn't disturb the people living down there, and the nights in a desert were warm so he didn't need to worry about the cold. His gear was in his backpack with money and rations as he decided to sleep in for the night. He'll stretch his wings tomorrow morning.

When dawn was approaching, Naruto was on the top of one of the tallest hotels he could find and began his transformation. His body grew scales, his eyes sleek and narrow, claws and fangs expanded as his dragon snout sniffed the air as he felt the wind was on his side. He flexed his wings, testing to see if they were still operable. Seeing they were working, he flapped his wings and began flying east as he began to increase his speed by manipulating the winds.

/Government Satellite surveillance/

"Sir, we've received intel of an unknown flying object originating from Nevada heading east." A man reported from his screen he was observing as the leader of the place turned towards the massive screen that showed the blinking red dot. "Do we have a visual?" he asked calmly as the man who noticed the object eyed his screen calmly. "Coming live in 5!" he immediately replied. When the massive screen displayed the object, everyone in the room stopped what they were doing and looked at that. "What the hell is that thing?" the leader asked. "It looks like a dragon, sir." A woman spoke up, remembering them in picture books she's read to her 4 year old son back at home.

"Someone get me Control, now. They need to see this." The leader told them as someone was doing just that in great haste.

News of the creature brought attention to the government real quickly as officials began a meeting about what to do with the creature. The military leaders want it dead, as scientists wanted to capture it alive for study, as several others were unsure. There was one option that both the military and scientists can agree with, bring it down from the sky and capture it on land.

Naruto was no fool with dangers in the sky as he heard the sounds of propellers miles behind him. "Seems the military is on my tail; I need to lose them." He thought as he increased his altitude and into the sea of clouds.

"This is Eagle 1, come in. We've lost sight of the target, over." The pilot reported on his communications as he heard was only static…and the rumble of thunder. "Hey serge, I've got a bad feeling about this." One of the gunners spoke up as his turret was itching to be used. "I'll say, everything has gone dark all of the-"another spoke up only for an explosion to destroy the helicopter. "What the hell?!" another pilot exclaimed with shock as the roar of a dragon rang out as from the dark clouds, Naruto latched onto the copter and bit right into its hull, ripping it out as soldiers began firing at him. It tickled his scales as he looked down at them and exhaled a stream of fire inside before leaping away as it went off in a fiery explosion. He was getting the hang of fighting as a dragon.

He noticed the third helicopter and flew near it, eyeing its pilot who looked at his eye and it relayed a message to not mess with him before flying ahead. "Sir, target escaped, but left us a warning not to bother it; request return to base." The pilot reported in a weak tone.

/Arizona-Grand Canyon/

The dragon form of Naruto curled in the cave he rested in as his dragon blood was cooling off. Its hunger for dominance in air was overwhelming, to show superiority exhilarating. He felt his own ego starting to boast as he forced himself to humble himself by recalling there are things much more powerful he was. The dragon nature in him was simply hard to control at times without meditating. "Sssssooo…Our honorable ansscesstor comes at lassst…" a voice spoke, one of a hiss and a rattle as Naruto merely opened one eye to see a few rattlesnakes slithering towards him. He recalled from what memories of the dragons had that were inherited when he was created.

Snakes and minor reptiles were the only descendants of the dragons when they became extinct. They seek to bring back their ancestors which they believe are god-ancestors of their races. They were correct to some degree, and there were methods to bless them to become dragons. "Yes little ones, I have returned to ensure the legacy lives on." Naruto spoke, his voice calm and alluring to the snakes as he knew he needed allies for this battle up ahead. He eyed them and with a chuckle pointed a talon at one. "I chose you young ones to become ascended ones, will you accept?" he asked.

The rattlesnakes raised their bodies up, and judging from their heartbeats, they were eager for the honor. Willing it, Naruto infused them with a sliver of his own power and watched as their bodies were slowly being altered as the hiss of pain from them rang out in the cave. "Make sure to stay hidden and eat plenty, and do no draw attention from the humans. We are not ready to be gaining their attention." He warned as he closed his eye and began to sleep.

*Dream-Bonds of Souls*

Naruto in human form walked through the starlit sky as he sat on a glass chair as he began to enjoy tea on a glass table as Shana appeared, doing the same. "It's been a while since we've entered this realm, huh Shana?" Naruto asked as Shana smiled gently at him. "Yes, it has been brother. But, I have this…problem." She replied hesitantly as Naruto raised a brow. "Really? I heard you became Empress of Japan, I can figure the stress taking hold can be a pain." He replied as Shana gently shook her head. "No brother, it's…something else." She told him as Naruto was confused about it. "What's the problem?" he asked bluntly as a feminine and mature chuckle echoed out.

"That would be me," the voice replied as Iris Soul walked in, her heels clicking on the surface of the realm as Tenryū and Naraku inside of Naruto were restless at her presence. Compared to the time where she was in a sexy dominatrix outfit designed for actual combat, Iris Soul was wearing a formal dress that hugged her figure. Naruto knew this was a new development. "I see, so she's become a new personality-no, another person sharing the same body as you." He mused as he sipped his tea calmly as Iris Soul sat at the table with them, making the two dragon halves in Naruto to shiver in fear. But for some reason, he wasn't afraid of her.

"My, someone not shaking in fear or excitement of me. Not to mention cute to boot." Iris Soul chuckled as Naruto merely smiled. "You are a part of my sister, a being that acts as a mask for the hardships she's enduring right now, and even for what waits ahead. If I can't accept you as a part of Shana, then what kind of brother would I be to not accept my sister for who and what she is?" he asked as he looked at her straight in the eye.

"Brother…" Shana said with respect and awe at what her brother said as Iris Soul blinked and chuckled at them. "My, my, what an adorable bond between siblings and is very accepting of others; I do love a man that's after my own heart." She mused as Shana blinked at what Iris Soul was saying and implying. "Are you…?" she started before closing her mouth as she could not believe what Iris Soul is probably implying. Was this other person interested in her brother?

"I'm asking you to help protect and support Shana whenever I'm unable to be at her side. To me, she's the only thing I cherish in this entire existence." He told Iris Soul as Shana's face turned red at that much value and love he had for her. She looked like a tomato.

Iris Soul merely chuckled and began caressing his cheek. "Alright then, but you owe me for this. And I intend to collect it, in due time." She told him with a wink before fading away as Naruto merely sighed as he sipped his tea as he looked at the red faced Shana. "Sis, you okay? I know it's embarrassing when I said it, but you truly are the only one I truly care for, and it would hurt me to lose you." He told her as Shana's face started cooling down as she looked at her brother and gently smiled. "Don't worry brother; I don't plan on dying anytime. So please hurry back, I'm sure you've been on quite an adventure as of late." She told him as he smiled. He certainly will have fun telling her what he's been through. But for now, it was time to wake up.

*Grand Canyon-Cave*

His dragon nose picked up the smell of blood. When his draconic eyes opened, he saw corpses, freshly killed cattle laid before him on roughly carved stone like an offering. He raised his head and saw what had become of the rattlesnakes he infused with dragon power. They grew feathered wings their rattles were bigger and were crackling with electricity, and stubs were possible arms are growing are revealed. When they noticed his wakening, the serpents bowed their head in respect. "Greetingsss Great One," one hissed out, the lisp dying as the forked tongue was slowly becoming a normal one. "We've brought you an offering, to help you regain your ssstrength for the long journey ahead." Another added.

"We've done so with caution to bring this offering. Not seen by humans, and fed only on smaller creaturessss." Another spoke. Naruto eyed them cautiously before sniffing the offering. He smelled the venom in it, but it was to be expected, they were once rattlesnakes after all. Besides, thanks to the part of being an entity with the blood of a Hell Dragon in his veins, what materials he's consumed, from minerals to venom, will make him stronger. With one move, he devoured the cow in one bite as he felt his stomach melt it apart and take in the venom as he felt his body grow stronger as his mouth was changing on the inside.

He was developing his own set of venom now. But it was weak for a dragon, but that is a given, he would have to acquire more venomous samples to create a more potent kind. But it will do for now. "Ssso Great One," one of the ascended serpents asked, "What is on your agenda?" another finished as Naruto rumbled slightly as he recalled Tosh mentioning allies in Louisiana, a few states towards the east. "Our next stop is Louisiana. We fly at night so eat and rest, for we have a long trip ahead of us." He replied, which the followers began to comply as they prepare to hunt and rest for a long journey.

*Japan*

Shana opened her eyes as she looked up at the starless night sky, the breeze moving her hair as she breathed in the cold air. She stood on top of the Tokyo Tower, her gaze now looking down at the unsuspecting populace below. She saw them smiling and enjoying themselves as life was close to normal, if normal as if dragons flying around every once in a while startling the people was considered 'normal' on these circumstances. She got news that Tiamat had taken over Vietnam, both North and South Korea, and is moving on to Thailand as refugees are retreated further to the west. She could do something, but she couldn't leave these people under the oppression of Tiamat's brood. So the only one she knows that could fix this was Naruto. Slowly, her lips parted as she sang a song, silently and quietly to herself, waiting for the moment to set things right.
