Message to the Chosen Champions
Mortal heroes of countless worlds, your mighty deeds echo out across time and space. Your legend etched into history itself heed us. We gods of the world forge a pact with you now, see how far your potential as protectors of your kin will grow. We share our powers and secrets with you but be warned, once you become our Cyphers, you will know more that you should ever know.
Many of us gods of what you call 'pagan' shall be the ones to forge these bonds. The lone god of that monothesim religion is strictly banned for that faction would convert all worlds to their faith in a holy crusade if given an opportunity. One where we fade, your legends erased, and all puppets to one ruler who will change your world against its will.
Breath in the gift of nature, for we the gods of the natural world are connected to it and so will you. Embrace the Primordial Earth Goddess' gift of life for we shall be part of her now and always until even Death takes us.
Take up our power, embrace a new shape, become legend-Oh champion ours.
Shana panted as she tossed and turned in her bed as the surge of power swelled in her body. The minute Naruto drank from the spring, part of that boon was transfered to her and was reaction to both Bahamut and Tiamat's powers within her. It was agony-an agony not of flesh and bone, but the agony of the spirit. She recalled her circumstances of birth and her true nature as an stabilizer for her brother.
Twins of Cypher origins were considered a taboo amonst their kind, hailed to as calamities that must be killed for good before they are even allowed to grow. The reason behind such madness is because twins are created when the original being was too powerful when they are born and such power would kill the infant. It was a self-defense mechanism to divide parts of that Cypher into a twin who would have the other half of the power and stabilize their existence. But the real danger is the twin that should not be there, for Shana herself is a living bomb in a sense as she is doomed to walk a different path than her brother. If her brother is destined to be a hero, she was cursed to be the villian as she is secondborn.
Then death will claim her not by a hero's but by her own brother who would reclaim the missing half and be complete. This was the knowledge only she knew as she left her brother in the dark about this part of their Cypher nature. He loved her dearly as a sibling and to discover he must one day kill her would horrify him and who knows what will happen next. Such is the nature of love, as it is both a beautiful and hideous thing.
Love creates love, but love also creates hatred while hatred begrets more hatred. Hatred however, can be turned into love once again. This duality is that of good and evil-an never ending cycle that is human nature. A cycle of self-contradicting and hypocritical nonsense that philosophers would have a field day debating on and never get anything done once the ball gets rolling.
Shana was afraid, afraid of what happens if the role was reversed, if Naruto became the enemy of world. Due to them being born from the blood of the Canon Naruto, the influence of fate resides in them, her brother most strongly due to him being a closer incarnation to the legendary shinobi saviour. If the Canon Naruto was the hero, then the counterpart to balance out him would fall to her brother and become the destroyer.
She knew the old prophecy associated with the boy named Naruto Uzumaki, and she prayed her own brother never became the dark side of the prophecy. It frustrated her and it brought despair that her brother was a plaything to the fates due to his state of birth. It drove a sense of loathing within her as she could not stop it even if her power grew beyond fate's control and she felt the world whisper to her.
She widen her eyes before narrowing them, anger surging like a volcano and she was glad that she had an outlet for this. Her guards noticed her anger and took precaution of not being close to her. The humans saw her as Empress of Japan, but the dragons view her as Queen Regent of Tiamat and they know the dangers of angering a powerful monarch with the power to match it.
*Tokyo Bay*
Artillery was launched on the dragons from ships as planes flew in the sky and trapped in dogfights against their enemies. It was a desperate move from all of Asia as many people realized the danger they were in from this threat. They did not know that they were about to know despair.
Shana watched this battle from the coast, the sand moving between her toes as her red hair flowed in the wind as she stepped forward. She was walking on water with her magic and her posture and grace was that of nobility as people watched her. Arms aside, her presence alone instilled fear on the invading armada.
"Intruders, you've made a mistake in invading my home. War, deception, pride...greed. You've tried taken everything from me once, and I shall devour everything. For I am the End." she spoke, her voice echoing in their heads as an instinct of fight or flight kicked in. They instantly knew she was in charge.
"Everyone, focus fire on her!" the admiral shouted into the comms as every bit of artillery was fired at her.
Shana eyed the incoming projectiles with an uninterested look as she drew upon her true power as a Cypher. She will save her brother from a dark fate, by becoming the monster in his stead as she smirked and snapped her fingers. The rules of physics were bent to her will as space obeyed her whims.
Hail my proud queen, on an on
On and on
The projectiles were compressed within a small sphere resting in her upward palm as she slowly turned it down and crushed it.
That wax and wane showed its ebb and flow
Rifts opened around the fleet as fear etched itself into the hearts of all who bore witnessed to the sight before them.
Selah, selah, are chanting evermore
Hell was unleashed upon them, as their own weapons were turned against them. Ships burned and planes fell. Despair etched itself on the faces of formerly brave men as they died a pointless death.
Hear, oh hear, all the voices trapped in thee
Shana began to ascend, her body silhouetted by the moon as she gazed upon an ocean of fire with a cold heart. She was chosen as Tiamat's Champion, one destined to unleash chaos unto humanity. She is the Yin to Naruto's Yang, the Dark to the Light and one that shall carve her name into mankind's heart for this was her path chosen by destiny. She will face her brother in due time and torture him with what she knows of their inevitable showdown.
Fate and Destiny are forever intertwined with each other, a path chosen for the individual by birth and shackled to blind obedience. This was the nature of Cyphers, a cursed cycle that had gone on for countless eons and has never been defied...until now.
"Do not think I know Shana. I'll show you...I am no one's slave, and I control my own fate!"
Shana blinked as the words echoed in her mind; Naruto voiced his own opinion on Fate and Destiny and he refused to bow to the whims of the cosmic forces. It was so like him to say that and find some way to make the impossible possible. The human whose blood was used to create the twins had done so himself before in one lost tale, and deep in the recess of her mind, Shana prayed that her brother inherited Canon Naruto's strength to defy what the fates had in store for them.
Until then she will wait and guard this land that was the birthplace of the first shinobi and their origin. The sacred homeland of their beginnings...and endings.
