"The Risen are just about much trouble as they usually are, but with the units you had assigned to me it was a breeze knocking them out." Nodding to himself, Stahl continued his report of the latest clash against their undead opposition. He glanced towards Robin, who had her head resting against steepled hands, eyes closed. Deep in thought probably. A slight dip of her head indicated that she was listening, and taking it as a sign to continue, he turned towards the map spread out on the wide wooden table in front of him.
He tapped a squiggly line representing a ridge and traced his way from one end of the map to the other to show the route their units had taken. "So we extended a bit further than you had originally anticipated, but we made sure not to overextend, since you've mentioned before to make sure backup was ready to cover for us." His brows furrowed at the thought of leading his troops into potential danger, but with Robin trusting him to lead a force, Stahl had made sure to keep the tactician's advice close at hand while calling shots.
He straightened, and brought his hands together, concluding the report. "And that's about it, nothing too bad." But the sudden clap was enough to send Robin jolting up in her seat, a slightly dazed look on her face. The tactician blinked a few times before shaking the glassy sheen from her eyes, and it took another moment for her to focus on Stahl. Robin squinted before rubbing her eyes, blearily looking around as if she wasn't quite sure what she was doing.
Stahl had a sneaking suspicion that the tactician hadn't caught any of his one sided discussion, and was almost positive that he'd been taking sleep deprived nods as a sign to keep talking. More amused than anything, he ventured to ask. "Um, Robin, we still on the same page?"
There was a pause before Robin's head nodded once more, giving an unconvincing bob before thunking against the table, the tactician apparently knocked out again. The impact wasn't enough to get her back awake, and Stahl was caught between bursting out laughing or being a bit concerned.
He settled for a neutral observation instead, rounding the table with his arms crossed. "Hm, well this isn't good."
Taking Robin's shoulder in hand, he gave it a light shake, speaking softly. "There are better places to take a nap you know.." But garnering no response, he sighed, bemused. Brushing her hair from her face, Stahl spoke to no one in particular. "You can't just keep working yourself into exhaustion like this. People will start to worry."
Moving around the tent, Stahl heated a kettle and brought some water to a boil, easily fixing a cup of tea for himself and Robin, if she ever decided to wake up. He set a mug on her side of the table before reaching for the cloak he'd worn in, draping it against her shoulders to keep her warm. Fussing a bit, he took care not to wake the sleeping tactician before taking a seat himself.
Taking a sip of the tea, he mussed aloud. "I wonder if this is how Frederick feels." And looking at the sleeping face of his self appointed charge, he thought that the feeling itself wasn't particularly bad. And he decided to keep watch over her, fine with waiting for her to wake up, or simply dozing off himself in their shared silence.
