Jacy's face scrunched up. "When?"

"A very, very long time ago," I sighed. "Edward isn't a cool rock, or the prize you won, or a painting you made."

"No, he's soooo much better than that. I'll be the coolest kid at school!"

"You already are."

"Only you think that, Mom."

"Edward does, too."

Her face lit up. "He thinks I'm cool?"

I nodded. "He told me. He said you remind him of being a kid."

"Can I at least ask him?"

"Ok. Ask him."
