Hi! So sorry if my update went too long…like a year and so, um to all those who patiently waited…here it is! But don't expect that much yet cause I had a writer's block and kind of forgotten what I planned before. Anyway the next chappie is definitely in progress but I can't promise to update this week since I still have exams to study and requirements to pass but I'll try to finish during the weekends. Later that night, Tea was sitting on the bed dressed in a white strapped nightdress that falls just above her knee. Beside her were books about magic, family history of royalties and even things that might help her become a proper queen. When Atem arrived at their room seeing the situation in front of him, he smiled and sat behind his wife. Atem slowly encircled both his arms around Tea's waist, leaned in so that his chest touches Tea's back and lightly nestled his chin on Tea's right shoulder, he then said "What are you doing so late at night? You should be sleeping by now."
Upon hearing her husband's voice, Tea turned around and kissed Atem on the lips which made the latter taken aback by the gesture. "Reading, I figured it might help me in dealing with Bakura's servant and how can I become a proper queen even without your help" Tea replied with a smile and Atem smiled apologetically.
"I'm sorry, but since you still aren't sleepy...maybe I can teach you right now whatever you want to know" Atem said and Tea's face lighted with delight "Really?" "Really" Atem trailed off, "and in return you can help me with some of my concerns as well" he added.
"Shouldn't you ask help from your councils?" Tea asked confused, Atem laughed a bit and said "Well, I'm only asking for your opinion. Besides, you seem to be knowledgeable about these things." "Ok" Tea said and the two began to talk about their problems and how they can solve it.
It was already midnight but the two are still working on each of their duties. Tea was lying flat on bed with her stomach when she yawned and catched Atem's attention who was busyreading the village people and other ruler's request. "I guess it's time for us to sleep" Atem said while rising up from the chair placed in front of their bed, he then took off the upper part of his clothing andslid in the blanket topless. Tea gathered all the papers and book on the bed and placed it on one of the chairs neatly arranged and stacked, she then also slid in the blanket. The two faced each other with one of their arms used to support their heads, "Goodnight" they both said in unison and turn around facing opposite directions. Tea was then reminded of the event that just happened that afternoon and she faced Atem's back, "Hey Atem...still awake?" "..." No reply came and Tea sigh, "I guess he's already asleep" the young girl said and hugged Atem's back. Meanwhile Atem who was just pretending to be asleep was a bit surprised by the sudden warmth on his back, he slowly turn around to face Tea who was already asleep. He looked at the young girl as she breathes softly, 'Really...you said I'm asleep but as soon as I turn around you're the one who's sleeping already' Atem said to himself and smiled. He then noticed that Tea slightly twitched and slowly hugged the young girl so that he and Tea are huddled with each other's warmth.
When morning came, it was Tea who woke up first. She was surprised and confuse at the same time as to why she and Atem are huddled to one another but was somewhat feeling happy because of it. When she noticed that the young pharoah is slowly awakening, she leaned forward to Atem's face. As the young pharoah woke up, Tea's face greeted him and both of them smiled. "Good morning, sleepy head" Tea said while Atem replied "Good morning to you too."Atem then sat on the bed while Tea prepared the clothes she will be wearing for the day, upon seeing the dress Atem got up and hugged Tea on the back.
"Isn't the dress a bit seductive?" Atem asked and Tea laughed softly, "Why would you say that? This is nothing compared to the outfit I wore when I danced with fires." "Even so, it shows your figure, and I don't want others to see it...I only want you to show it to me and no one else" Atem said and Tea replied "Stop teasing me, I can't even show it to our friends? haha anyway Atem, I need to take a shower so please let go of me." "Only if you give me a good morning kiss" Atem said quickly, and upon hearing it Tea sigh.
"Since when did we become like a married couple? I mean we are just friends right?" Tea protested as she spun around but saw Atem's expression changed to that of a sad expression, Tea then felt guilty as to why she said those words. "I was just joking Atem, no need to be sad about that" Tea said and Atem replied, "I'm not sad. What made you say that I was sad? haha Anyway go take a shower now, I'll go after you finished." "Ok, no peeking alright" Tea said in a teasingly manner and kissed Atem quickly on the lips. The young pharaoah surprised as he is didn't let the opportunity slipped, instead of letting Tea go, he caught her right hand and pulled her back to him again. This time, it was Atem's turn to kiss Tea not just quick but a slow, passionate one. The young girl took the time to enjoy the kiss too but then pulled away as she felt Atem's right hand go down her buttocks and cupped it pulling her much closer to him as she already was."Atem...it's still early in the morning, and we need to hurry. We have a training to do with our friends today right?" Tea said in a rather exasperated voice, Atem smiled and replied "Yeah you're right, sorry about that."
After that Tea entered the comfort room and upon hearing the gush of water on the other side of the door, Atem turn around and sat on their bed. He then leaned his back on the headboard and sucked a breath, "I really need to control my emotions if I need Tea to stay with me. But then again, what am I doing? I just don't understand anymore."
While on the comfort room, Tea was taking her time to cool off. When memories of last night and this morning flashed back to her, Tea shook her head. "I can't be thinking those thoughts right now. I mean I made a deal with Atem and I can't let him know what I truly feel for him...Tea, relax. Just continue acting as a queen and don't overthink too much on whatever is happening between you and Atem, after all you two are married so it's just natural for him to act that way" Tea said as she breathes in deeply. After she exhaled Tea felt relaxed, she then dried herself up and went out of the comfort room.
As soon as Atem heard the door clicked, he went towards the comfort room and was welcomed by an after showered Tea with only a white towel wrapped around her body. Atem was not ready for this one, upon seeing his wife's face, Atem suddenly felt his face heat up. Tea was also not ready for what just happened and just froze on to where she was standing. Atem realized that both of them must have looked silly just standing and not doing anything, so he was the first to make a move. "Sorry I didn't know you would be coming out dressed that way..." he trailed off "but don't worry, It's not like I mind you only wearing that. Anyway I will take a shower too, you should leave if you are already finished in dressing up." 'What am I saying? I wouldn't mind? Nice going, you just screwed everything up', Atem
thought to himself and sighed deeply.
"Ok, thank you Atem...Atleast I can say that I'm safe when I'm with you" Tea said and forced a smile. Even though she knew what Atem said was right, she somehow felt that there was a big lump stuck on her throat and felt like her heart was prick by thousands of needles. 'Tea you can't cry right now, you have no right to be, after all you and Atem were just friends from the start and will always be. Whatever you two are doing right now is just a show and the love you both are showing to everyone is just a fake love and nothing more. So smile tea! Smile!' Tea thought to herself.
Atem upon hearing what Tea said smiled too and went inside the comfort room. As soon as Atem entered, Tea slowly walked towards their bed and sat. She then stared absentmindedly to the room, "Just friends Tea...Just friends" she said noncholantly in a whispered voice. A single tear dropped slowly from her eyes and then another until she was crying, but the young girl did her best to not let Atem hear it.
After a few minutes, Atem went out of the comfort room topless with a white towel wrapped around his lower body. He looked at Tea who was having difficulty zipping up her dress, "Need some help?" He asked. Tea turn around and smiled, "If you wouldn't mind."
Atem came towards her and slowly zipped the dress, doing so he was able to get a waft of vanilla scent coming from Tea, he couldn't help but feel relaxed. Upon seeing Tea's exposed shoulders, Atem looked at the white skin on his view and dived down to kissed it. Upon feeling a warm touch on her left shoulder, Tea spun around but Atem held her tightly so that she remained facing backward to Atem. The young prince let his right hand slid downward to Tea's right leg while his left held Tea's left arm. He then slowly planted soft kisses on Tea's shoulder and traced it until he was already kissing Tea's neck, upon reaching there Atem heard Tea gasped. He stopped kissing her but whispered something to Tea's ear.
"What's the matter my Queen? Is it hard to breath?" Atem asked and nimbled Tea's ear.
Upon feeling Atem's breath on her left ear, Tea shivered a bit and moved away from her husband. "Thanks for the help Atem...I-I'll be going out first" Tea said and started to go out of their room as fast as she could. Atem watched her retreating figure and covered his face afterwards, "Nice going there Atem, you just scared your friend. But...am I to be blamed on doing that? I mean seriously, I warned her not to wear that off shoulder dress today. Ugh, control yourself Atem."
After 15 minutes, Atem arrive to the garden where all his friends were gathered. Tea was talking with Yugi and the others were laughing with them as well, Atem then said "Sorry I was late, I asked Shimon to rearranged my schedule for today."
"Oh it's ok Atem, Tea here just talked some of the plan that you two had discussed last night and even made jokes on what to do if we fail" Yugi said smiling and Atem looked at Tea upon her name being mentioned, Tea on the other hand continued to look at Yugi and ignoring the fact that Atem was looking at her.
"I see, that's great then. So shall we start our training?" Atem said and directed his gaze towards Yugi, the latter nodded and everyone followed Atem on the center of the garden.
When the gang was positioned, Mahad arrived together with Mana. The two wore their usual outfit and bowed down in front of Atem and Tea. "Our pharoah and Queen Teana, We will begin as soon as you all are ready" Mahad said and Atem nodded. Mahad stood then closed his eyes. "Chaos Sorcerer...I summon you!" Mahad called out and Chaos sorcerer was summoned, Mahad then looked at Mana and the latter nodded smiling.
"I summon...Dark magician girl" Mana called out and the monster appeared.
The gang readied themselves while Atem watched them at the sides, Tea was the first to summon. She raised her golden bracelet and said "I summon...Fire sorcerer", Yugi then followed by summoning Dark blade. While Duke summoned Dark assailant and Tristan summoned Cyber commander, Joey was last and he called Armored Lizard.
"Let's...duel!" Everyone shouted and the training finally started.
