Ok! So sorry if I updated this too long! I decide to finish my other stories first so I can focus here plus I had a writer's block on the next chapter…anyway thank you for everyone that still reads this and I hope you will enjoy this update. Thank you for patiently waiting~
The sun was scorching hot through the desert, and the gang was feeling quite weak because of the heat. Atem looked at Tea who was wiping her forehead full of sweat. "Are you okay?" he asked worriedly towards his wife and Tea looked at Atem with a slight smile.
"Yeah, I'm fine but…the weather is too hot right now, I think we need to rest for a bit don't you think? We've been travelling for an hour or more now" Tea replied.
"I know that, but we can't waste time today Tea. Who knows what might Bakura be planning right now" Atem replied with an apologetic look, Tea didn't object but only sigh.
"Waaaattteeerrrr, I need water so bad right now. If there is a river here, I'll swim to it right now…" Joey said as he slumped his body towards the horse.
"Calm down Joey, you might fall off your horse right now. Hold tightly," Tristan said as he went besides Joey.
Yugi looked worriedly towards his friends and came beside Atem. "Atem…"he trailed off and the young pharaoh looked at Yugi with a smile.
"Is anything wrong?" Atem asked.
Yugi smiled too, "Nothing really…but…I think we need to rest, I'm worried about the others right now." He then pointed behind where Joey is still slumped on his horse, Tristan holding him off and Duke wiping the beads of sweat on his face.
Atem sighed and looked at Tea who in return only gave him a "I told you so" look. "I guess we will have a small rest, let's go to that area where there is shade" He said and pointed to an area with small trees growing.
Yugi nodded and said, "Alright everyone Atem said we will have a small rest so let's go to those trees right now."
Joey, who heard Yugi's words slowly rose and looked around to where the trees are. Upon seeing the shade, he smiled with joy and immediately went to the area. Upon arriving, the gang tied their horses under different trees and gave them water. Tea and Yugi distributed the water Shimon and Isis packed for them, and Atem gave them the food that he instructed to be made. Everyone ate their foods quietly and rested on different trees as well, Tea after cleaning the things used in eating went to sit beside Atem.
"Do you think we might get clues on Bakura's weakness at Kul Elna?" Tea asked as she rested her head on the tree and looked towards the sky.
"I don't know, but it's worth a try…Bakura and his servants are pretty strong right now and knowing his weakness might give us an advantage" Atem replied resting his head as well on the tree and sucking a breath.
Tea glanced at Atem for a bit and smiled while now looking at the ground, "Indeed they are pretty strong right now but I believe we can beat them. Afterall evil is always defeated by good right? And I'll always believe in you…I know we can defeat them."
Atem widened his eyes upon hearing his wife's words, is Tea giving him encouragement? He looked at the young girl and took her left hand. "Thanks Tea" he said smiling while squeezing the young girl's left hand with his right hand. "So…how is life as a queen for now?" he asked still looking at Tea.
The young girl looked back at him and smiled, "Hmmm well it is indeed difficult, but…I'm enjoying everything since your councils are helping me plus you get to teach me some of the things I want know. Although, I know I still have a lot to learn."
Atem laughed, "Don't worry about it…I'll always be here for you and both of us will learn together the things we needed to learn. Even though I'm now a pharaoh I won't hide the fact that there are still a lot of things to learn myself. So cheer up ok?" Tea nodded.
Beside them, their friends who pretended to sleep smiled hearing their conversation. Yugi looked up at the sky and smiled, Everything will end in a good way if try. Believe in your words Tea.
Back to Bakura's place...*clink* *clank* *clink* The four servants was immediately awoken when they heard the call. A hooded guy was standing outside their cell, "Master Bakura wants to see you all."
Mikhail yawned, "I wonder what does master wants us to do so early in the morning."
Frau who stood up immediately replied, "Whatever it is we need to go now. You don't want to upset Master Bakura now Mikhail would you?" he then looked down towards the brown haired servant who in return only sighed.
Mikhail slowly stood up as well, "I was just wondering Frau. Relax, you two ladies…are you now ready?"
Tira and Chocolate yawned but rose up and replied, "Of course. It's Master Bakura afterall."
As the four of them arrived in Bakura's throne room, they kneeled in front of Bakura while the latter only looked at them seriously. "I will leave again the palace today so look after this place for me. Frau, you're in charge of everything" Bakura said and looked at the blond haired servant who in return only nodded and replied, "As you wish Master."
Tira on the other hand looked at Bakura and asked, "Master…if you will permit, may we know where you are going?" Upon hearing the question of their fellow servant, the three expected that Tira would receive a punishment.
Bakura only stared back at his pink haired servant, hearing her question made Bakura laughed mischievously. "Tira, as always…you never cease to amaze me by doing something stupid. Where you ask?" he said and went in front of Tira, he then cupped Tira's chin so hard the girl was forming tears on her eyes. "To my once called hometown! Kul Elna! I'm going back there again Tira…so that I will never forget what that previous pharaoh did to my family…I will avenge them and everyone who lived on Kul Elna! Now do you get me? Tira?!" he asked angrily making his grip much stronger.
Tira couldn't answer because of the tight grip on her chin so she gave a nod instead and Bakura released his grip on her. "Very well then, I will go now. Observe Atem and his friends on what they are doing right now, that's all you will have to do" Bakura said.
"Yes Master!" the four servants replied still kneeling and bending their heads downward.
"Good! If anything happens to me, Frau you will take in command. That is all" Bakura said and then he vanished.
Back to Atem and his friends…The gang after resting for half an hour decided to continue their journey towards Kul Elna. They travelled for two hours when they arrived at a deserted place with nothing left except abandoned houses and ashes scattered everywhere. The place was covered in fog making it harder for them to see, Atem and the gang got down on their horses and tied them up outside the place on a tree nearby. Everyone then took their hoods and looked around the place, "Is this really Kul Elna?" Yugi asked.
Atem replied, "Yes…according to the blue print I have here but…i never knew this is what it looked like right now."
"Atem…what happened here? We've been here before right? But these looked worse now and…why are the spirits back here again?" Tea asked as she clutched on her husband's hood.
"I don't know Tea, but I don't like what I feel here. Everyone should hold hands while we explore the place. I remembered something happened here but I forgot, although I have a feeling it has got to do with my father" Atem said. After seeing the place, the gang held hands and started exploring the town. Meanwhile Bakura who had just arrived decided to visit his home, he was reminiscing what happened to the town again but was interrupted when he heard voices outside.
"Hey Atem, looking at this place…don't you think a fire happened here? Considering that only the cemented houses remained…but why would your father order to burn this village?" Joey asked.
Upon hearing Atem's name, Bakura smirked. "So you and your friends decided to visit here…interesting" Bakura said and went out of the house to hide in a nearby tree.
"I don't know Joey…I was still a child when my father was the pharaoh, although knowing that this is only done by a royal family's order…I don't think my father could do this, from my memory of him he always cared about the village he was ruling" Atem answered but then felt sad as he can't believe why his father did a horrible thing.
Tea looked at Atem worriedly, she then squeezed his right hand and Atem looked at her. "You know, I think your father wouldn't do this if what you remembered of him is true…then he's a good ruler, maybe someone else did this" Tea said with a slight smile and Atem smiled as well, "I hope so Tea."
As the gang approached near Bakura's house, the spirits of the villagers started attacking them. "W-what is happening?! Why are we being attacked?" Tristan asked and everyone defended themselves.
"What should we do, Atem?" Yugi asked looking at his friend. The young pharaoh was busy thinking of a solution when suddenly the spirits stopped attacking them and left.
"What happened?" Duke asked surprised and Atem replied with a confused look, "I don't know."
Suddenly they heard a laugh, the gang looked at the direction where the laugh was coming from and Bakura appeared. Upon seeing him, the gang readied themselves to fight. Bakura only laughed and said, "Please…don't you think it's unfair? I'm alone right now and I have nothing to use for fighting you all."
"We don't believe you! Where are your servants Bakura?!" Joey shouted angrily but Bakura only sigh, "like what I said…I'm alone right now. I left them at my place…will you spare me this time?"
"Atem…" Yugi trailed off while looking at the young pharaoh, the latter nodded and said "Bakura! If what you're saying is true then we will spare you but if not…we won't hold back."
Bakura smiled darkly but then looked at Tea, "Sure thing."
Back to Bakura's place…The four servants were observing the pharaoh and his friends when they saw that their master is facing the gang alone. "Frau…" Mikhail looked at the blond haired guy.
"I'm on it...Let's release this monsters for now," Frau said and opened a cage full of dark creatures. The creatures went out of the cage and went to Kul Elna.
Back to Atem…The gang and Bakura were standing on opposite sides when suddenly a group of dark creatures arrived. Upon seeing them, Atem and the gang prepared to fight. Each of them summoned two monsters. Atem summoned Black luster soldier and curse of dragon, Yugi summoned silent magician lvl 0 and witch of the black forest, Tea summoned Fire sorcerer and ancient elf, Tristan summoned command angel and cyber commander, Joey summoned black skull dragon and red eyes black dragon while Duke summoned battle ox and strike ninja. Everyone started attacking the dark creatures while Bakura watched in excitement.
"Black Luster soldier fuse with curse of dragon and attack those creatures!" Atem commanded and the two monsters followed, the black luster soldier rode the curse of dragon flying towards a group of dark creatures and sliced the creatures in half as well as burned them up with a fiery breath.
"Your turn now Silent magician and witch of the black forest, attack those creatures!" Yugi commanded and the silent magician enchanted incantation spells blowing up 6 monsters while the witch of the black forest constrict its opponent by sharp vines causing them to die.
"Fire sorcerer burn those creatures and ancient elf show your true power!" Tea shouted and the two monsters followed by burning a group of creatures and impaling the others by a group of roots suddenly sprouting up the ground.
"Command angel and cyber commander, defeat those creatures!" Tristan ordered and both cyber monsters produced a big ball of electricity trapping 10 creatures and electrocuting them.
"Well I think it's your time now black skull dragon and red eyes black dragon, burn them all!" Joey shouted and both dragons flew up and encircled a group of dark creatures trapping them with fire and burning them inside it.
"Battle ox and Strike ninja, attack those creatures!" Duke commanded and both creatures teamed up to slice the dark creatures surrounding them.
The battle continued and everyone was starting to feel tired, Bakura was only watching them and waited for the battle to end.
"It seems those creatures will never die. Each time we defeat a group of them, another batch comes in and fight us. Everyone is tired right now while Bakura hasn't even had any scratches on him" Yugi said and Atem glanced at his friend.
"I know it is tiring but we can't give up now, I don't know what is Bakura up to but I don't like this" Atem replied and continued battling.
Tea who felt really tired crouched down for a bit, everyone was busy fighting that they didn't notice Bakura was not in front of them anymore. A hand suddenly covered Tea's mouth and the other pulled her out of the gang. The young girl tried her best to escape but with no luck, the man smirked.
"What's wrong Queen? Tired already? Well then…shall I bring this fight to an end? You shall come with me in exchange….hahahaha" Bakura whispered to Tea's right ear and the young girl whimpered. She moved recklessly from Bakura's grasp and gave her all when she bit Bakura's right hand that was covering her mouth. As soon as Bakura felt the pain and the hand began to bleed a bit, Bakura retreated his right hand but his left was still gripping Tea's waist tightly.
"Atem! Help me!" Tea shouted when her mouth was finally freed.
"Why you! You'll gonna pay for that!" Bakura said angrily and hit Tea behind her neck rendering her to unconsciousness.
The gang were still busy fighting the monsters and the fog was making the battle even harder as they can't see how many have they defeated. Suddenly a loud shriek was heard and Atem knowing the owner of the voice immediately looked beside him, "Tea!"
Seeing that the young girl was nowhere to be found near him, Atem got angry. "Bakura! Where are you?! Show yourself you coward! Give Tea back to us!" Atem shouted and Bakura's laugh was heard.
The monsters stopped fighting and a figure formed from the fog, Bakura who was holding an unconscious Tea on his arms smiled darkly. "You know Atem I will thank you first for sparing me today, also for giving me the chance to take what I wanted in the first place…your wife! Now things for me had become much easier to accomplish" Bakura said and laughed louder.
Atem on the other hand clenched both his hands, seeing his wife unconscious and being held by another man made him feel even angrier. "Bakura! Give Tea back! What will you do to her?!" Atem asked angrily and Bakura only sigh.
"Relax Atem, I promise you I won't hurt her…I only need her for something. If you want her back, you will have to go to my place alone. A servant of mine will come to your palace the day after tomorrow, be sure to go with him alone. Also, I'll let you know the answer to your question on who did this to my village…It was none other than your Father! He ordered the royal guards to burn this village and kill my family, even the children were mercilessly killed to be used as a sacrifice. Don't you think that's a cruel thing to do? Now you will pay with your precious wife as the payment."
"Wait! Can't you just take me instead? Leave Tea alone! She has got nothing to do with this," Atem replied but Bakura only smirked.
"Like what I've said…I need her for something" Bakura said while looking at the unconscious girl, "so goodbye for now and see you soon Atem" he added and a dark mist suddenly enveloped him and Tea. The dark creatures also surrounded Bakura and then vanished as well.
Atem couldn't believe what had happened, he stared at the spot where Tea was last seen with Bakura. "Tea…" he mumbled and slowly dropped to ground with his knees. His friends looked at him worriedly and clenched their hands as well, they all looked at the ground with defeated looks.
To be continued…
