Chiron's face is impassive as he watches his new charges march in, looking for all intents and purposes like lambs heading to the slaughter.
Percy eyes his mentor warily, usually Chiron's demeanor is more welcoming than this, however, he doesn't make note of it. "Ah yes, thank you for bringing them to me Percy. That will be all." Resisting the ridiculous urge to bow, Percy nods and takes his leave, making sure to close the door behind him.
The Gods are all shuffling on their feet, after the events of the last few days, they're all very tired, and it shows on their haggard young faces.
Chiron approaches the three brothers slowly, "May I ask what it is that you are doing here?"
Poseidon and Hades exchange wary looks, wondering just how the hell they're going to explain Zeus' punishment that turned out to not be quite as bad as they'd thought really, to the old centaur.
Zeus is rubbing the back of his neck sheepishly, for once, at a complete loss for words. In the end, it is Apollo that breaks the awkward silence, "Well Chiron, it's like this..."
"I wonder what's taking them so long." Nico muses, as he and Percy watch the door to the rec. room steadily.
They're sitting on a small hill nearby, wanting to do their part to help the newcomers get settled in, but it seems as though Chiron is planning on keeping them in there through the night.
"You know Chiron, he just wants them to fully understand who it is they are, and why being here is so important."
Around them, the noise begins to swell as the campers begin preparing for the evening meal. The mood is happy, and just as Nico and Percy are beginning to get up to join Thalia for dinner, they see the door open.
One by one the new additions begin to walk out, they look decidedly calm for a group of student that just found out they're part God. Chiron eyes the two teens standing off the the side and clops over to them.
"Percy, Nico, I'm afraid I must ask for a favor of you two. If you'd be so kind as to get everyone settled in and maybe give them a small tour of the place? Dinner will keep I'm sure."
Without even waiting for their reply, Chiron nods to himself and pats them both on the shoulder, before he too walks off into the night.
"Well okay, guess we're stuck on babysitting duty. Again." The Son of Hades rolls his eyes, huffing annoyedly as he waits for the other teens to gather closer.
"Shut up, it won't be so bad. You'll see. Besides, in case you've forgotten, you were one of them not too long ago." At this, the dark eyed teen flushes, punching his cousin on the arm rudely. Whatever fight that was about to break out is interrupted by Hera clearing her throat.
"Uh right, so I'm sure Chiron gave you the big speech yeah?"
The Gods all nod solemnly. Nico and Percy eye each other, they were definitely expecting more of a reaction from the group. "Well let's give you the tour of the place then! I'm sure you guys are going to love it here." Nico snorts at that, turning to follow Percy as they begin their trek across the grounds.
"So, when will we know who our Parents are?" Harmony begins quietly, her cabin is lovely, as is the rest of her, and despite the boredom she's sure some of her family members are feeling, she's quite happy to play along with the act.
"Uh it usually happens a few days after a camper arrives, during the evening mess, or when they've done something to garner their Parents' attention."
At that, Poseidon eyes the boy before him plaintively. "But even if you're not claimed, you'll be sure to have a place in the Hermes cabin!" When he notices the disappointed faces, Percy adds, "It won't be so bad, many of you will be claimed tonight, I'm sure of it! And then you can go and stay in your respective cabins and meet the other sons and daughters of your God parent."
The Gods all eye each other at this, wondering just how the hell they're going to fit in with their kids. Poseidon and Zeus look the most worried, they can't just announce that they're sons of the Big Three, not when they know how Percy and Nico night react to the information.
Not to mention the fact that it would open up a lot of interesting questions that they'd have no answer to. They'd have to play things by ear and figure out just what the hell they're going to do.
As Percy finishes showing them how to make offerings with their food, it begins.
A mark appears above Harmony's head, proclaiming her to be a daughter of Aphrodite.
The whole table of the Love Goddess' sons and daughters, cheers, looking delighted to have a new sister join them.
Harmony smiles bashfully, waving to her siblings as she goes and joins her children. And then it happens to Ares, who raises his fist above his head and is quickly swept up into the Ares' table.
The camper are all watching in awe, aside from the fact that they'd never seen so many newcomers before, to have so many of them claimed so quickly was practically unheard of! Of course, only Thalia, Nico and Percy could have come across such a diverse group of demigods in such a short amount of time!
Those three always were getting into some sort of trouble.
Eventually; there were three campers left unclaimed, and Percy patted Dylan on the arm comfortingly.
When the campers realized that nobody else was to be claimed that night, they all began to take their leave, each of them whispering about the day's excitements.
"I guess we better hit the sack too, let me show you guys where you'll be staying, Nico can you go and get them some supplies?"
Percy had just started walking away when gasps and murmurs broke out.
He turned back and eyed the symbol above the Colley brother's head in complete shock.
Well, this certainly was unexpected.
