Tears of a broken Miko.
One week later.
Two figures sat a shady room, one behind a desk the other in front.
"When will the curse finish her?" The one behind asked.
Bright blue eyes showed great annoyance.
"It's hard to say. The Eastern Lord has shown her how to freeze the curse as it goes up her arm. Though it doesn't stop it completely it just slows it down. She doesn't suffer as much as you wish." Hidou said.
"I will have to take care of that and that bothersome Taro. It seems you will need to pay her a visit, Hidou. She id currently in the Western territory with Lord Sesshomaru watching over his human ward." The demon behind the desk said.
Hidou smirked.
"I have missed the lovely miko. Will you act on their side for this encounter?" He asked with a smirk.
"For the most part. Make her suffer. Better yet, make her wish she was not even born." The other replied.
Hidou smiked. "You can count on that."
Kagome stood in the corner of the garden while Rin ran with Shippo.
"Why does Lord Sesshomaru keep you around? Why won't he just send you back to the East?" Jaken asked. He walked up to stand beside Kagome.
Kagome crossed her arms over her chest.
"I have asked myself that many times." She stated.
Something caught Kagome's eye on her left.
Lord Sesshomaru and Taisho stood greeting her Father Kain and Souta.
Kain did not deserve an ounce of respect from her. No matter what his rank was.
Kagome glared at Kain.
"Touga my friend, I must say that I am glad to see you have returned to the land of the living." Kain said.
So was Touga his real name? Or maybe everyone else not of high ranking would call him Lord Taisho or Milord.
"Yes, though I must say it was odd returning. Ah, and I see you have brought your son with you." Touga said.
Kain nodded.
He looked towards Souta and back towards Touga.
"Yes, Souta, my pride and joy." Kain said with a smile.
After a bit more minutes of conversation, Sesshomaru invited him and Souta into the castle.
Kain gave her a knowing look on their way into the castle. She would get some answers on what the hell was going on!
Kagome would soon learn that they are staying for a week.
The next morning.
Kagome stood watching Rin and Shippo. They ran around playing in the garden.
Kagome heard footsteps walking up behind her.
She turned to see Kain. She did not bow. He deserved nothing from her.
Kain smirked when he was acknowledged.
"Do you know now who you are to me?" He asked.
Kagome narrowed her eyes at the demon before her. Though she still wore her mask.
"Why didn't you tell me or Souta and why were we sent to the future?" Kagome asked
"I wanted my children to be safe and educated. When you found the well it was not on purpose. When you found the well I was so worried." He lied.
She took his words with a grain of salt.
"Here's an idea, stop acting like you give a shit."
He snorted.
Kain then came up to stand shoulder to shoulder with Kagome as she faced Rin and Shippo.
"Alright." He said.
Kagome looked to her left passed Kain and noticed Sesshomaru, Touga, and Inuyasha talking to Souta.
"Look, they are going to find me out if you continue standing here." She said.
The rest of her friends were not far off.
They probably couldn't hear their conversation though. Kain was whispering.
She looked towards Inuyasha.
"You will be fine. At least, for now." He said bitterly.
Kagome scoffed.
"Hell, I didn't think you knew what honesty was. I was wrong." She said.
Kain rolled his eyes.
He noticed Kagome looking at Inuyasha.
He smirked.
"You know, I think Lord Inuyasha likes Hana more than Kagome. Wouldn't you agree?" Kain asked.
Kagome ignored him as she turned to watch Rin and Shippo.
"Tell me. Are you still as useless as you use to be? I bet you are." He said with a smirk.
He was just trying to piss off his daughter.
Kagome turned to look at him with a glare.
She was about to let him have it.
"We can test that, if you like." Kagome said as she put her right hand on the hilt of her sword.
Kain smirked.
"In time, little one."
Suddenly, dark thunder clouds started rolling in.
"Hana!" Rin yelled as she and Shippo ran and hid behind Kagome.
Hana watched the clouds.
She knew what was coming as she drew her sword.
Hidou was about to show himself.
Lightning struck and went back into the sky. Kagome put a barrier around Rin and Shippo as Kain also jumped away from the lightning towards Souta.
When Kagome looked forward. Hidou stood before her.
He had striking blue eyes and long black hair. He had just enough of a look to him to make him seem handsome. Well, if he wasn't evil.
Kagome drew her sword.
"Ah miko, I've missed you. Say, have you shown yourself yet? Maybe I can show them for you? What do you think?" Hidou asked with a smirk as he looked around at her old friends.
Ice then formed around Kagome's mask. There was no way in hell her mask was going to come off here.
Hidou smirked as he opened his hand. A metal sword came from the palm of his hand.
His abilities are really a pain for Kagome to deal with. Lightning and he can pull metal from the palm of his hand to form what ever weapon he wanted. He was definitely a challenge for any being.
"I don't think so." She said with a glare.
Sesshōmaru walked up in front of his ward and Kagome. He drew Bakusaiga.
"I do not care what problem you have with the servant. But you are trespassing. Should you refuse to leave I will take action." Sesshomaru stated calmly.
In a flash Hidou was gone.
He reappeared with his hand against Kagome's mask ready to pull it off. Even with the ice formed around it.
Kagome held her sword next to Hidou's neck.
He stood back to back with Sesshomaru just for a moment.
The bastard had went around Sesshomaru to get the Miko!
Hidou squeezed Kagome's mask.
It barely cracked around the left eye. Exposing more of it.
One of her blue eyes was fully exposed.
Sesshomaru swiftly turned and swung his sword without any attack coming from it.
He released Kagome mask and jumped away to Kagome's right.
Sesshomaru missed him.
Sesshomaru and Kagome currently faced each other. Sesshomaru eyed her for a moment then turned to face Hidou.
"So threatening miko. Make a move I beg you." He said to Kagome.
Kagome flashed to him in a blur. Their blades clashed.
The demon did not care that Sesshomaru Just threatened and attacked him.
Kagome charged her sword with spiritual energy and swung at Hidou. He then swung his sword to clash with hers.
Hidou extended his first two fingers that held his sword.
Kagome quickly sent ice up her arm. It slowed down the curse mark. Though it still hurt like hell.
She groaned in pain.
All of Kagome's friends had their weapons drawn and were now ready to fight Hidou.
This was exactly what Kagome didn't want! She is the one who's meant to kill the bastard! None will take that from her!
Kagome didn't want anyone getting hurt because of this guy!
Kagome moved her cursed arm forward to punch Hidou in the gut under their swords.
Her fist was charged with spiritual energy.
Hidou jumped back. She had missed.
"Hana!" Rin said in a scared tone.
She was scared for the miko.
Kagome slightly looked back at her to make sure she was okay.
Kagome quickly learned that she had made a wrong move.
Hidou moved quickly as he punched Kagome in the face. Her barrier on Rin and Shippo waved.
Sesshomaru flashed forward as he grabbed Rin and moved her out of the way of the incoming Miko.
Shippo jumped out of the way.
Sesshomaru knew the kit could handle himself. He was demon after all.
She ended up about ten feet from where she stood. When she sat up though, Hidou was gone and it was not Hana that everyone saw. The ice from her body disappeared and Kagome's mask crumbled to the ground.
