Ok I noticed how everyone wanted to know what Aiden would be like in the future, well here's a glimpse. I have a few more chapters I plan on posting after these two for this story, however I will be spending the next few days with family and working on finished my other story. I never meant to leave either so long and I'm sorry to all you who have wanted more chapters and who have been waiting for the other story to be finished. I will try to be quick as possible with publishing. Thank you for you support. Warning if you have not kept up with the latest on the One Piece Manga, this does mention the most current happenings.

Chapter 23

Marco was finishing some paperwork when the sound of small rushing feet greeted his ears. Shortly followed by a small blur and then the feel of something crawling under his desk.

He allowed himself a small smile, as he listened to his son giggle for a minute before obviously stopping himself upon hearing the sound of much larger feet rushing in the direction of his room. Second later Thatch was at the door, breathless and obviously slightly annoyed as he dealt with what had become a nearly nightly game of pre-bath 'hide and seek.'

"Marco! Aiden just ran this way. He come in here?"

"I saw him run by yoi. Still running from you?" He said looking up from his papers.

Thatch let out an exasperated sigh, "I don't get it. For everyone else he jumps in the bath. For me he runs and hides."

"I'm not sure, but best of luck finding him yoi." He said motioning with his eyes to under his desk where Thatch's prey was hidden.

Thatch smiled. Then let out another huff, "Yeah I'll find him eventually," he said before scuffling his feet a bit and closing the door to make like he was leaving.

Not disappointing, a second later a small figure emerged from under the desk giggling.

Aiden at three years of age was nearly identical to Ace and when he was full-grown he would probably be mistaken for his birth-father numerous times. Both shared the same dark wavy hair and freckle-covered cheeks, however upon closer inspection one would note that he had his other father's eyes, a brilliant blue that were more softly lidded than Marco's own. Personality wise he had the same taste for mischief that Ace and every other D was known for, but had already shown himself to be a bit more like Marco as a child with his interest in learning everything.

Thatch was quick to snatch the three year-old up once he was fully out from under the desk, and even more quick to start a tickle fight with him.

Aiden could only laugh and squirm, until Thatch finally stopped, "Papa, no fair you told Uncle Thatch where I was!"

Thatch just smiled, "Don't blame your old man brat you know you need to take a bath, he's on my side this time."

Marco watched the entire thing with a smile, "He's right kiddo. You know the rules."

"But I want to take a bath with daddy." He said with a whine.

"Aiden you know your daddy's not feeling well right now. Maybe tomorrow, now go take your bath and if you hurry we can read a story."

Marco knew he had won then his son lit up upon hearing the word story, and was on his feet quick and pulling Thatch out of the room to head to the bathroom.

Once they were gone Marco leaned back in his chair and smiled to himself. Time seemed to have flown once Aiden had been born.

Nearly two years after his birth Luffy had returned to the pirate world with a bang, announcing his return and shortly after taking out Doflamingo and pissing off Kaidou. He had formed an alliance with Law, and then taken on Big Mom. It had been a whirlwind story to follow.

Sabo in the mean time had shown up less than a year after the birth with Law.

Two and A Half years Prior

"Hey Ace, Law just showed up he wants to talk you, yoi." Marco said to his lover poking his head into their bedroom where Ace was sitting with Aiden.

Ace looked up from their son to respond, "Sure, finished feeding him. Let me just burp and change him, and I'll be there in a minute."

"I can do that. You better go now yoi. He seems upset, I think he had a fight with your brother."

Ace sighed as he handed the baby to Marco, "Seriously what did he do now? I swear those two fight like cats and dogs."

Marco just laughed, kissing Ace before watching him leave the room.

"Hey Law, what's up?" Ace said as he walked into the infirmary, the one room Law always seemed to want to hang out when he visited.

"Portgas-ya. How is Aiden?"

"He's good, now what's up. Marco said you and Sabo had another fight?"

Law looked away seeming to try and find the right words, "It wasn't a fight. Though I will admit I wish I could kill him right now."

Ace moved to sit next to the other man, taking a close look at him and noting that he didn't look that great. The ever-present circles under his eyes seemed darker and more pronounced, and he looked to have lost weight.

"Law. What happened? Are you ok?"

Law sighed and then looked Ace right in the eye, "I just talked to Jared-san for confirmation, I'm pregnant."

Ace felt his jaw drop, stunned and unsure what to say at first. Then he watched the other man squirm a bit and remembered how he had felt when he had found out the very same news and smiled. "That's great. How far along are you? How did Sabo react? He was ecstatic right? I mean I know he kept joking about it, but he's great with kids. You've seen him with Aiden." Ace knew he was blabbering, but as he watched Law's expression darken he couldn't find it in himself to stop talking. "Law. Law this is great. Aiden with have someone close to his own age to play with. They'll be cousins."

Law just sighed, "I haven't told Sabo-ya yet. You are the first person I have told, except Jared-san. I am honestly at a loss of what to do."

Ace was a bit astonished that Law would tell him first, and then confused. "What do you mean? Are you thinking of getting rid of it?"

Law averted his eye, "Honestly? Yes I have considered it."

"You can't not without at least talking to Sabo, it's his child too. Why would you even think about such a thing? I mean I never considered having kids, I didn't even want them, because of my father, but I love Marco, and Aiden is one of the best things that ever happened to me." Ace said, raising his voice slowly as his anger rose at the situation.

"I care deeply for Sabo-ya, however I am not in such a good position as you are. You are surrounded by some of the strongest pirates around and are in a relatively safe position because of Whitebeard. Plus Sabo-ya is constantly running around trying to take down the world government with the other revolutionaries. A child is a lot of work and responsibility." He said sighing, "And honestly also a liability."

Ace sat back thinking about what Law had said, and he found himself agreeing, but he couldn't tell the other man to just get rid of a baby, not when he found himself thinking of his own son. "Law I can't tell you what to do, but seriously think about it before you do something so drastic. And talk to Sabo about it too, he's smart and he'll understand. He loves you. I've seen it in his eyes when he's with you."

Law nodded.

Present time

In the end Law had ended up staying with the Whitebeards for weeks, before Sabo, unable to contact his lover, tracked him down. The fight Law and Sabo had, had was spectacular. Marco still wasn't quiet sure what happened after that, since they left shortly after to talk, but he did know that less than a year later fraternal twins Trafalgar D. Adria and Trafalgar D. Tavin were born.

The sound of rustling sheets broke Marco from his reverie, and he looked towards their bed where Ace was resting.

"What are you thinking about so deeply?"

"Just reminiscing, yoi." Marco said moving over towards the bed.

"Oh about what?"

"Just about how our lives have changed." He said sitting down next to his lover.

Sitting up and revealing his expanding middle, Ace offered his lover a kiss, "Well things are only about to change even more. Only a few more weeks to go till this one is here."

Chuckling and pulling Ace closer Marco smiled, "Yeah. At least it's not twins. I though Law was going to kill your brother when he found out he was having two."

Laughing Ace replied, "Well I've already done this once, they say the second one's tend to be easier cause you know what to expect. Though I do remember something about you having the next one."

Marco let out a quiet laugh, offering his lover a kiss, while remembering Ace's reaction to being pregnant a second time.

However any further discussion was cut short by the sound of rushing feet, revealed Aiden at their door minutes later, "Daddy, Daddy, Daddy you're awake! Papa is gonna read me a story now, do you wanna listen?"

"Sure kiddo. Me and your younger sibling love listening to your Papa's stories."

Marco smiled as he lifted Aiden onto the bed next to Ace, before proceeding to tell his son about a trip he once took to Sky Island.

An hour later found both Ace and Aiden asleep in the bed, Marco covering them and dimming the lights. Looking down at his family, he could only think back on everything that had led up to this moment and about how things could have been.

He wouldn't change anything for the world.

For you who are wondering on names:

'Tavin' is French for 'Royal Staff' - Since Sabo fights with a staff and is nobility I found it ideal.

'Adria' is Greek for 'Person from Hadria (Northern Italy)' – I wanted a name that screamed Law and sounded good with the name Tavin, so I decided since Law is from the North blue this name would do.

Yes, Tavin is a boy and Adria is a girl. Poor Law and Sabo have their work cut out for him.
